They are all dedicated, show up when they say they will and you know you can trust them to get it right. I'm having one of the worse experiences ever with a contracting company. My 6 month rebate application with DWP turf removal program is about to expire on Monday and Ecotech is not way near being done. Their communication is the worst, I never got an actual design idea for my yard and what I have now is a pile of mulch around my house that looks like tinder that anyone with a match can come by and start a fire that could burn down my building. I AM NOT HAPPY and if this isn't ALL fixed by Friday I'm going to figure out the next steps beyond Yelp to get this resolved. read more

I applied for the MWD Waterwise turf removal program last summer and EcoTech was one of their approved contractors. From the design (Chad) to the installation (Omar & George), everything went smoothly and they were responsive and made sure that everything was what I wanted, and communicated everything - even set my old timer control for optimum times (and would have replaced it for free with a refurbished, much newer one which they left just in case, had Omar not figured out how to get it to run. While there was an initial delay because of their backlog of work caused from pandemic-related issues, it was so easy to get an extension from DWP when the start time got pushed out a few months. I was going to just cap the exisitng irrigation spray heads, but they convinced me to go with a drip system. (The only downfall was that I didn't get a photo of the sprayers "on" before they were removed, because I didn't know that was a requirement of the drip application until after the job was complete.) They saved the minimal overage of materials (stones from the riverbed and mulch) and even laid the mulch in my backyard planter beds! I'm really enjoying my new landscape, and as the plants grow and mature, it's going to look even better AND will be saving a lot of water and money. read more

I was in touch with quite a few people over at Ecotech in Fontana starting with Veronica who set everything up for me and provides the BEST Customer Service ever, then Clayton whom was my AMAZING Designer very knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. The project continued with the Lead Mike whom was great with communicating all that would be happening along with going above and beyond with helping with extra labor work that was much appreciated. Him and Richie came out and made my yard look AMAZING thanks guys. Then my next visitor was Oscar whom came in to help install my drip system and was very knowledgeable with how it all worked and took me step by step with how to utilize the app, then I had Gino and Joe show up to deliver my toilets and also check my water pressure really nice guys too. In cooperation with our local Water supplier, California American Water, EcoTech came out, evaluated our lawn sprinklers, and recommended upgrading the sprinklers and timer. Against my better judgement, I agreed to have EcoTech replace my irrigation system (nozzles and timer) for free. It was a water conservation program paid for by the City of Whittier. WORST thing I have done as a homeowner. They had to come out a second time and replace the nozzles because they were not the right ones. Now the timer has issues with the wiring and EcoTech is refusing to come fix it. I basically have a system that is not as good as the one I had and EcoTech won't stand behind it after 30 days. Do yourself a favor RUN, do not walk away from this company. They do not stand behind their own product and the City of Whittier as well as myself got conned!!! read more

George is the technician that assessed my property he took his time and gave us a clear explanation of the program and answered all of our questions. George and Jaime performed the retrofitting and then reviewed the settings on the controllers with us. My front yard needed much help, that I decided to take a chance in a drought tolerant landscape. Breanna, my Landscape Designer, did a superb job in designing my yard, especially when I expressed that I wanted low maintenance and a pathway. I was explained the work process in detail. There was a waiting period after the turf removal to make sure grass and weeds did not reappear. After the work was completed there were inspection follow-ups, which I greatly appreciated. Also, the couple of times that I had questions or concerns they promptly replied. OMG! EcoTech Services went beyond their call of duty, from front office to field personnel. Gabriel and Jaime installed my water controller and lawn sprinklers. The work was done in a professional manner and quick. If I could give negative stars there wouldn't be enough stars. The rep., Jesse came in quoted me what I felt was a fair fee to remove all my weeds, pall the existing grass, put down some DG, plant new flowering plants and plant Kurapia plugs. Kurapia is a drought resistant grass that also attracts bees doe to the small flowers it produces. It took approximately 4 weeks to till the ground, apply 2 rounds of weed killer,?and install the plugs and plants. 50% of the plants died. All of this work was done in Oct thru Nov of 2017. After all the rains that winter the kurapia did not take. EcoTech sent guys out a couple of times to replant the dead plants and to install more plugs. First round of replacement plugs were already dead b4 planting. I told the guy and he said they just look that way but they weren't dead. Welll dead don't grow and these were dead. They came out again an put more in. Again they died. After speaking with other landscapers turns out since my soil in parts of my yard is horrible, a supplement of some sort should have been mixed in to make it viable soil. These guys have no clue. Now they are blaming my weekly gardener saying he should have done this and that, when in fact the only instructions they gave my gardener was a watering schedule which he followed. So bottom line is I am out $2000+, have a higher than normal water bill (I had been hand watering, babying these plugs), and have a back yard that looks like hell. read more
