They gave us a very fair price for a new 50 gallon gas water heater. After looking them up and reading others reviews, we decided to use them. Easy choice actually. They service it yearly which comes with its perks of new filters, water salt, and peace of mind knowing things are working well. My only negative would be the service calls are a little pricier (around $150 per visit, not including parts) than the average plumber or other water needs you might have. However, soft water is a premium service so I can understand why they charge what they charge. Overall, we are very happy with our service and products from Culligan and will continue to use them for all our water treatment needs.

They get away with it, because how many of us know about these things, unless you do it for a living or have someone in your life you can give you guidance. So you cross you fingers and hope for the best. I got some advice from someone who I trusted to not steer me wrong, I needed to get a water softener, and I am glad for the advice I received. JP Plumbing installed the water softener and gave me very good advice on how to maintain it, you don't have buy all that fancy salt with additives (i've never had one before). After they left, I noticed my hot water wasn't running in once of the bathrooms, I called and they came right back. Turns out the pipe froze, they fixed it and did charge extra for coming back or an arm and a leg for fixing something they did not come to fix in the first place. I now have a plumber that I trust, call them first for all of your plumbing needs. They will not overcharge you, try to upsell you or leave your house in a mess (as another company did one of my friends) and by all means NEVER call the people they tell you to call when your plumbing is hurtin', call JP Plumbing instead.

(The toilet has been having intermittent issues and needs replacement.) They immediately connected with me and offered to come out the same day (but I still had not gotten the new toilet.) We scheduled for the day after, and they were here by the promised time. The team quickly removed their shoes at the front door without being asked (not my general experience with many repair teams) and started working. They finished almost precisely at 90 minutes despite a minor complication. (The basement/toilet drain was not draining well which they augered out.) It was explained to me that it was likely a combination of time and a 20-year-old toilet (which did not generate enough force). Other than minimal dust and grime, they did not leave any bigger messes for me to clean up. They were professional, and their price was well aligned with other companies. They did not sell me on any additional service plans but did guarantee their service for a year. (There is a 4% for credit card transactions.)

We had paid electricians and engineers to see if there was a problem with outlets or they could figure out. Customer service doesn't care. Nothing gets resolved and it's a lot of money to be ignored. Save yourself lots of hassle do not buy. They suck. They should have people be able to facetime with you or send someone out to help or replace faulty unit. They just hope you go away but the product is unreliable, pain in ass.

One that almost started a fire in my basement. Luckily there was a serge protector on my electrical outlet. The second was the heating element went bad and the unit is less than a 1 year old. I went ahead and got a new heating element and I was told that a 75 year old could install it it was that easy. So I got the part and I went to the website of the company and they did not have any videos of the mega classic and how to switch out the heating element. So I called the company and they admitted that the video should of been made. I soon got the video and when I went to replace the element the video showed one person switching out the element, they said in the video it has a wing nut in the boiling tank I did not have such thing and it also took 2 people to switch it out and when I talked to someone about this they admitted too that it is not a one man job. So I turned on the machine and it still would not work. So i called the company and instead of sending out a new unit as one would think when one spends over $4,000.00 they wanted me to trouble shoot the machine as if I was an electrician/mechanical engineer. I was floored with what they made me do. I paid how much and this is the customer service I get. So I managed to meet their request and sent pictures. Now I am getting crickets back, no response. I was told too that they are going through some re-organization with the company but this is not an excuse to drop your customers and the service they should be providing. So given how they have treated me and having to give them tips on running their company I did not want to wait until they get all their eggs in a row to finally address my services which I paid for. So I have asked them for a refund and they agreed yet I am still waiting for a box to ship the machine back and getting my refund. Again all I am getting is crickets as to what the status is of my refind request. So hopefully when they get served they will be a tad more responsive.
