Shout out to Ricky and his team. The team turned up on time, they were polite and professional. I even needed something back from the storage and sent a text on Sunday to Ricky, I didn't expect a reply but within 10 minutes I got a reply and help to retrieve what I needed the following day. He had personally gone to the storage and pulled out the boxes. Then the most difficult bit, I knew the maximum storage in the shipping container and I had measured out the best I could but a container cannot be packed without gaps so I was waiting for the call to pick up a few bits. No call, Ricky had with a lot of effort managed to fit everything in. Fantastic job. I will definetely be asking for him and his team again on my move back. read more

This ocmpany was hired by aLowes to deliver cabinets. They showed up on time yet complained about our dog even though it was placed outside restrained on the dog run 30 ft away from the delivery truck. Then complained about stairs to go inside the house and placed a moving pad on the double wide staircase so they could drop the movers ramp on the landing. Thus facilitating unloading the boxed cabinets. Then they proceeded to complain the boxes wouldn't fit through the doorway even though it's a double door entrance. Immediately from the entrance foyer is the living room which has most furniture removed to have multiple staging areas for the boxed cabinets. Rather than starting atone end of the room working their way thru filling up in an orderly manner. When I requested twic3 to place the boxes in the corner and work their way out, they ignored me and left 2 boxes in the middle of the room. I told them once again to begin in the corner, they got an attitude proceeded to say "we only deliver not set up anywhere" Really? Delivering boxes 21 and placing hazardously and run out of room before 1/4 unloaded. The 3rd time I said in a serious tone begin in the empty corner not in the middle of the room. One mover walked out the other just stood texting saying "I shouldn't come to work stayed home to watch the eclipse" I told him I had back heart and hip surgery, I'm in pain and if come across harsh I don't mean too and apologize 2xs . He was busy texting then proceed to go outside. Never came back. Told my spouse he had a family emergency and had to go. Ther EDC would send someone else. After 2 hrs passed we called the office to get a reschedule update and were told a completely self-servong version of the events. Not only were they not rescheduling but also refusing to deliver! Told us Lowes would have to figure it out meaning pickup from the warehouse and they deliver! Speaking of unprofessional and incompetent.i can't begin to state the huge inconvenience this has caused from the very beginning. The helper wouldn't help the driver take out the ramp from the truck and set up. He sat in the truck. I have to say that my experience with this company was not good. I tried several times to speak with their dispatcher about when our new Purple bed would be delivered. It was important for us to have this information, as I am recovering from shoulder surgery and my partner was going to have Cataract surgery. I could not get a return call from Stephanie, no matter how many messages I left. Then, by fluke, I spoke with the office manager on Monday and the delivery had been set up for that day. Yet nobody had called me to confirm that the proposed day/time would work for us. The drivers did call 30 minutes out and were nice. Yet they had little respect for our house and left a mess. Their shoes were dirty and tracked dirt in. They did not provide us any information on how to operate the adjustable base, most importantly the motion activated light built into the base. Their only guidance was to call the store or manufacturer. Would I use EDC if I had a choice? That would be a hard no. read more

Horrible service by the drivers who would not deliver our product. When I spoke to him over the phone he hung up on me. He ignored me also when I asked him to pull through the drive. We paid for set up, they left the product on the driveway and when asked if they would come a crossed to set it up they replied no. We pay for the service but did not get what we paid for. I give this zero stars. It has taken us three months to get our product from this company. We have trucks come down our lane every day. The Lowe's appliance truck made it with no issues and safely delivered our products. Terrible service. I was called by the same lady twice. I was called last week, to schedule my delivery for tomorrow. I had several items coming in from the same furniture company. I got a call today from the same lady telling me that she was calling to schedule my delivery for a couple weeks from now. I informed her that she had called me a week ago and then she tells me that my item will not fit on the truck that's already been loaded up.I had scheduled someone to be at my home specifically to receive this delivery. I have not personally used this company, but my neighbor did today. I'm reviewing because these are the noisiest, most inconsiderate movers I have ever had the displeasure of suffering through - as a non-customer at that. They've spent hours moving my neighbor's furniture and rather than tape things inside her apartment, they do it outside, which is normally noisy as it is, but the corridor makes it echo, thus magnifying the noise. This is, of course, highly distracting and the process lasted at least 45 minutes on and off. Additionally, rather than placing the dolly down in a normal fashion, they slam it down and then proceed to let is slam down every single step all the way down (we live on the third floor, so that's quite a lot of steps) over and over again. I get that people move in and out, and that the process tends to make noise, but I've just spent the last 2 hours (and they were at it before then) dealing with ridiculous noise and and some serious vibrations shaking my entire apartment. I've been in this apartment specifically for 5 years and have seen many, many people move in and out and *never* has a neighbor moving been so disruptive. read more

Terrible business! Unfortunately I did not have a choice in picking this company to deliver a desk I ordered, otherwise I would have chosen differently. The company had the desk a whole week before they would deliver it. The delivery was to a business, and a desk is a critical function in your daily work actions. The desk would have taken 30 minutes tops to deliver, and they still would not deliver it. On the day that it was scheduled to deliver, I received the phone call saying it would be between 1-5pm, and the driver would give me a 30 minute courtesy call... IT NEVER CAME! I even stayed 15 minutes past 5 and past the time I was supposed to be off for a phone call and I never received one. When I got in the next morning, there was a note in our office for us to give them a call to reschedule. When I called, they wouldn't be able to deliver the desk until another three days away. \ ***Basically, this company is very mishandled and not professional at all! Constant communication, punctual updates, on-time arrival, and very courteous driver and assistant. Most recently I ordered a very large refrigerator from the military Post Exchange and EDC was the delivery carrier. They called ahead of time to coordinate the date of delivery. They called the day before delivery to confirm and know all was well. They called the day of delivery 30 minutes prior so that I would be ready... and then... Imagine a surprise when they showed up ON TIME and precisely when they said they would. They arrived precisely at 7 a.m. on a dreary morning and without hesitation they got to work. The delivery supervisor was "J.R." and he was straight forward, courteous, and on a mission to get the job done. JR measured the spaces we needed to navigate and allowed me time to take my door off of its hinges so it would be easier. Overall, it is rare in this modern day that a delivery service keeps their word on the delivery time and then follows up with great service. The EDC team of two were in and out and onto the next delivery. Not a scratch on my appliance, my house, and they left no trash from the shipping/pacling materials when they unpacked it. This is a terrible company and totally disorganized. They do not return phone calls and do not deliver on time or on scheduled day. They damaged my furniture and hid the fact from me for 5 weeks. The company I bought the furniture from wanted me to pay for what was left of the damaged entertainment center. If the movers were just honest and told me what happened I'd have been apt to work with them and the furniture company. As it is I had to file a complaint with the FTC against Coleman Furniture to resolve the damaged furniture and EDC still hasn't delivered the rest of the furniture and who knows what condition I'm going to receive it in. He had an estimator review the contents in Plano, had the movers arrive on time and had my furnishings packed in 1.5 days. The move was 1 day and the movers in Austin unpacked in less than 6 hours. Communication was great. Gave us notice on which day our furniture would be delivered & called us the day of to give us a time frame which was pretty accurate. Unfortunately it started to downpour when they first arrived so we had to take some time to assess the situation. Our bedroom is carpet so the concern was getting the carpet wet & possibly muddy. We asked if they could remove the packaging at the door & carry the furniture into the bedroom & hey were fine with it. Thankfully the rain lightened once they began moving the furniture out of the truck. They were very accommodating. They put every piece exactly where we wanted it & had us check everything before they left. Friendly gentlemen (Kevin & Tim). One of the drawers for the bed frame was not opening all the way & they tried their best to fix it but wasn't able to do they made a note. Not sure who will send someone to fix it if it's the movers or Costco or not. All in all great experience. read more

We recently moved our household goods from our home for 40 years from Utah to Washington state. In summary I can say Tom Kelner and the Atlas driver and the loading and unloading crews turned what can be a painful experience into a professional and considerate experience. They always kept us up to date on status and any schedule changes. The changes were trivial and did not effect the overall schedule. They were also attentive to our concerns and input. There care and handling of our possessions was superb. There was no significant damage to anything, and by this I mean it was trivial. They paid particular attention to our concerns for a 170 yr. old mantle clock and a full china set I inherited from my mother which arrived in perfect condition. A job well done. read more

Fantastic service! Delivered a large 2 piece desk and file cabinet. They assembled what needed to be assembled on the desk and placed everything exactly where I wanted it. I was contacted on Friday to select a delivery date that worked best for me. Then they called again the day prior to the scheduled delivery day to give me a 2 hour window. They called again on the morning of delivery to let me know they were on the way. Delivery, set up and removal of packaging was done very professionally! Incompetent and thieves. This is the delivery company used by Costco. I had a living room set scheduled for delivery as well as an older one for return. They picked up 4 pieces but reported only 2. Even speaking with their supervisor who was adamant that they only picked up 2 pieces and that "I must have had another company pick up the rest!!!" I am now considering filing a police report for theft. They also are very disorganized about their delivery schedules. They called me to schedule a delivery time 3 weeks after it already took place. If you are considering doing business with these guys (or ordered from Costco) make absolutely sure you document everything and take pictures. These people cannot be trusted. Update: The supervisor called me back saying he "did some additional research and found out what happened to the other 2 pieces." So the issue has been resolved. We had a bed delivered from z-gallerie and they used EDC Moving Systems. After waiting weeks for this item to arrive the delivery men promptly managed to drop part of the bed after resting it up against a wall. Needless to say the part was badly damaged and the whole thing had to be loaded back into the van. After dismantling our bed we'll be sleeping on a mattress until a replacement is sent. Still waiting to hear when this will be... Not what I'd call quality service. read more

This is the delivery company Target.com used to deliver the furniture I ordered for my place in Austin. I received a voice mail indicating my order would be delivered the following Monday. Delivery was not made on Monday, so I waited patiently until Wednesday. I personally called EDC on Wednesday only to have them tell me that an item was missing from the shipment. They would not, however, admit that it was lost. I followed up with Target.com to initiate a Dock Search and was told to wait 24-72 hours. A week later, I tried to leave several voice mails only to find that their inbox is full. I called Target.com again to complain. This incompetent company only initiated the Dock Search yesterday. As a result, I have canceled my order with Target.com and will be spending my money elsewhere. Unfortunately for Target, I refuse to order from them if they continue to use EDC. After reading other reviews, it seems that I will probably not order from Costco either and will simply go pickup from the store, as inconvenient as that is. read more

EDC movers came within that two hour window with time to spare. They were able to pull a 26' truck up our very steep and curvy driveway. The movers placed the boxes where we needed them to be in our home and none of the boxes were damaged during transit. Absolutely terrible company. I ordered a dresser from Z Gallerie on August 1, 2015, was told it would be delivered by EDC between 2-3 weeks. On August 17th, I called and was told that EDC had my dresser as of August 10th, and would be calling me soon to set up delivery time. I called again on August 20th, and was told they would be in touch with me within 2 days. I called again on August 25th and was told they would call within 2 hours. I called 2 and a half hours later at which point EDC did indeed call me. They told me they could deliver my dresser the next day, then changed the day to Friday but they are unable to guarantee any specific delivery time. The woman I spoke to was rude and completely unaccomodating. We will see if I actually get my dresser and I will be reporting them to BBB. read more

We ordered a mattress set online and they used EDC Moving Systems for their delivery service. We were told that the mattress would be delivered anytime between 2/1-2/13. As it turns out, the mattress was to be delivered on 2/1. EDC called the day before and set up a delivery time. They gave us a four hour window between 9am and 1pm. They called at 8:15 on the day of the delivery and said that they were on their way. They arrived at 8:45 am. They unwrapped the mattress, brought it in the house, and set it up on the frame that we had already set up. They were done in about 10 minutes. Very friendly and polite. So, not only did they show up early, but they freed up the rest of my day. I didn't have to spend half a day just sitting around waiting on them. Awesome! read more

Stay away from using this company... If I could give them 0 stars I would. I purchased a mattress on Costco.com on July 7th, 2015 and apparently Costco uses these people to deliver their merchandise, funny thing is it's 8/4/2015 and still no mattress. They called me last Thursday to confirm the received the merchandise and would deliver it on Friday between 10-2pm and guess what it never showed up. No one ever called me to let me know an update or that it would not be delivered. I had to make multiple phone calls to them and they said,"we can't find the mattress in our warehouse... Costco never delivered it to us." If they never delivered it why would you call to schedule delivery? Why would Costco email me confirming they delivered it to you? I am a district manager in the Austin Area and have over 900 friends on Facebook and 780 followers on Twitter... I am now going to make it my personal mission to ensure everyone I know and come in contact with both in person and on social media to NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING.... We ordered a commercial treadmill to be delivered to our home in Austin. The treadmill was shipped via EDC from across the country. It arrived in Austin in the expected time window, EDC called when it was on their dock in Austin, and delivery was scheduled. The delivery took place on schedule and the giant box was placed where we wanted it. The treadmill arrived in perfect condition and there wasn't a single mark or dent on the box. Excellent Service!! Great communication! The people in the office are very friendly. No nonsense. They give you a day and then the day before they give you a time frame. The driver gave a pre-call to let me know he was on the way and BOOM they were there on time and ready to roll. I knew the product was going to be want I wanted but after some of the reviews on here I was a little nervous about the delivery service but they killed it.
