Just came here for the third time I have to say one of the best Mexican food spots I've ever eaten at there shredded beef burritos are to die for we have a river house and live in Orange County so every time we drive through we have to stop their homemade ranchero sauce, you could eat just like soup I get my burrito drenched highly recommend this place. Theresa was our server one of the sweetest servers I've ever had. I highly recommend eating here whether you're driving through or you're a local.

Wanted to try this place because of the ambience and large size of the restaurant after seeing the photos on google. It didn't disappoint. It's nicely decorated with a large bar right as you walk in. They offer outdoor seating as well. They had high cushioned booths paired with bar stools right next to the bar as well and that's where we sat. Service was quick. Our server was talkative and funny too. I ordered a chile relleno for under $7 and it was huge. It was also delicious and I paired it with a blended mango margarita ($12.50) My partner had a burrito which comes with the soup of the day or a salad. Went with the soup of the day which was an albóndiga (meatball) soup. That combo was $12 which was also very reasonably priced. We had a great lunch and the prices were perfect for our party of two. I'd love to come back during happy hour soon.

Nothing fancy, just Mexican food. Chips and salsa weren't anything stellar. Enchiladas Suizas were packed with chicken and chunks of green chilies. Chilie Colorado was very flavorful and tender. The beans with both were well flavored and topped with plenty of cheese. One of the few places on the main street that wasn't burgers and bar food.

Service was incredible. Server was extremely friendly. Best tamales I've ever had and portion was huge for cheap. Environment was very cozy. Piña colada was also great

Beef flautas with side of chips

Came by during lunch because someone had recommended me this place. I think the service was amazing and honestly maybe the only reason why I stayed. The restaurant itself is huge and has tons of seating. They offered complimentary chips and salsa which were pretty good and then I ordered beef flautas and an horchata. The horchata was good and they give you a tall glass which I can appreciate. The flautas looked so yummy and the portion was huge, but after 2 bites I noticed that the taste was off. I tried tasting everything individually (beans, rice, guac) and for some reason there was an aftertaste in everything that I can only describe as "cleaning product." It was almost as if whatever soap they use to wash the dishes wasn't rinsed off all the way before plating the food. I would like to give this place another try, but honestly that was just a bit too unsettling to have that weird aftertaste throughout the entire meal. I couldn't really finish the food and I feel bad for wasting it, but something really was off because my stomach started feeling weird after I left.

Edchadas is located right off 29 Palms highway. There is a small parking lot to the rear of the building with limited spots as well as street parking. Inside you'll find a small bar top and the restaurant is filled with lots of short tables. The decor is nothing fancy by any means, you can come in shorts and flip flops and be just fine which I appreciate! The food itself is ok. The meat in the burrito was pretty dry and the fajitas were served with a very small amount of meat - it was mostly peppers and onion. The salsa tasted like blended canned tomatoes with chunks of white onion. It's almost watered down with chunks of onion. Chips were warm and salty. Beans and rice were decent. Service was polite and quick. Overall, we'd stop in again as there isn't much here on this strip but we hope they improve with not serving dry meat in the burritos and a more generous portion for fajitas ; especially because I ordered them a la carte so I wasn't able to fill up on beans and rice. Service was friendly and fast.

So I was visiting my partner who lives on base in this Area. I was out looking for food while he was getting ready and talking with his family. I decided to get some Tacos and a Margarita, when walking in I had to seat myself and get my own napkins. I had to ask for chips and salsa. While other servers had been passing me up and serving other people food, drinks and chips. So I was always on edge with feeling outcasted. I sat at the bar by myself. When I was drinking my margarita, I found a bug in my drink and let the server know. Rather than try and accommodate or acknowledge the wrong doing he just shined it off. So I asked for another drink. ( Im not expecting any type of special treatment but I did expect to get the drink half off or something like that ) I was served and charged for both drinks at full price. Even when ordering during happy hour. I came to this spot because AppleMaps. Now I regret spending $30. I also noticed that they just dip the blender in 3-Stage cleaner. They don't wash or rinse anything off. They literally dip it in 1)Soap Water 2) Rinse Water 3)Blue Chemical water. So I was just irritated about how half fast they do things here. They don't even check up on how you're doing. Just walk around doing nothing. Please avoid if possible. The Tacos saved it from a 1-Star.

Strawberry mango daiquiri perfect drink on this hot day. Very flavorful and yet still taste the alcohol.

I ordered the three rolled tacos with rice and beans. Love the fresh guacamole, lettuce, tomato's & cotija cheese on top! The menu includes the following: tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas, enchiladas, tostadas, nachos, asada fries, combo plates, family pack (includes one pound meat, rice, beans, onion, cilantro, red or green salsa, flour or corn tortillas and liter of soda), catering (five or ten pounds of meat), breakfast plates and burritos. Meats to choose from: asada, pollo, alpastor, carnitas, deshebrada, lengua, tripa and buche. Nice, friendly, employees, great food, plenty of parking out front and in the back. Note; inside is a small seating area, however you can get it to go. Wish they were closer so I could visit more often!

Server was nice and efficient.

You order at the counter and they bring you your food, (so make sure you add a tip when paying.) I heard the quesabirria tacos were good, so I got one of those, a surf and turf taco (ribeye and shrimp), and a side of rice of beans and asked to have it all on one plate. The food took 31 minutes to come out. That's the main reason for the 2 stars. The food was actually really good! Great beans. Rice was decent. Surf and turf taco was very flavorful, but it had some kind of weird seasoning on it that I couldn't put my finger on (not bad, just strange). The quesabirria taco didn't come with consomme, She brought some out when I asked for it, but it was mostly fat and I couldn't eat it. The taco was still good. Overall, ambiance was nice, quiet (one tv), food was good, the woman who took the order also seems to do everything else in the place (I know there were at least two other people there in the back). Tables needed to be wiped. Maybe it was a one-off.

I ordered some tacos and was totally disappointed with the amount of meat they put in them and the amount I paid. Tacos are $3 a piece, so I expected a decent or normal amount of meat per taco, but instead I got a kid's portion. I ate more tortilla than meat, just to put it into perspective. With total honesty, these tacos are worth $1.50 at most. The food taste was very mediocre, not even average. It lacked a lot of flavor. The agua fresca was really good, though. I hate it when palces charge a lot for food, but they're very stingy with the portions.

The mulitas had solid flavor, especially the birria, but they definitely needed more cilantro and onion to balance everything out. One thing that bothered me was how the tortillas were cut -- it made it hard to actually add salsa and have it stay inside, which kind of took away from the experience. As for the pastor and asada tacos, they were just "okay." Nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. They had a red spicy salsa and a green mild salsa and that was it as far as options that you can add in your own. There were no cabbage, radish, and other important ingredients that make a taco reach another level. I did like the decorations and music they had playing. It goes well with a mexican restaurant. The service was excellent. The guy that helped me explained the menu very well and said that he could tweak a few things to accommodate what I was asking for. He also did well checking in on us. So yeah, it lands in that middle zone -- "It's okay" with some potential to be "good." If they tweak a few things (especially toppings and tortilla setup), this place could easily move up a full star for me.
