Another great dinner at Eddie's. I made reservations on Yelp for 7pm on a Saturday and was seated immediately upon arrival (Thankfully I made those reservations because the restaurant was pretty busy when I arrived)! The service was exceptional as always, and I even got a visit from Eddie himself! He stopped by the table to say hello and chatted with us, and it was so nice to see that he'd take the time out to come greet his guests like this. Eddie and his entire staff treated us with so much care and hospitality, regularly checking in and making sure everything was going well, and making sure that our drinks were never empty! I was craving spaghetti carbonara so I ordered that with some shrimp added to it and it was amazing!! My friend got the pesto pasta and was in love with that as well... This is a hidden gem I feel. We started to eat and then remembered I better take photos of this yummy food. The meatballs were so soft and flavorful my hubby wanted a plate full. My diavola was the perfect flavor mild tomato sauce with a spice kick. The scallops were delicious and the prawns were fabulous. We also ordered the warm chocolates cake with vanilla ice cream cake was delicious ice cream yummy. We cannot wait to go back I will try something new my hubby can't wait for the meatballs again. Went to Eddies last night for dinner with our parents! Everything was wonderful!!! I ordered the spaghetti carbonara with chicken and it's was a very balance carbonara. My husband ordered the wild boar sausage risotto with mushroom. The wine sauce in the risotto had a nice depth of flavor. Few and far when my husband and I go to a restaurant and we both enjoyed our dish. Usually one dish is good and the other meh. But Eddies knocked both our dishes out of the park. My mom got the chicken Marsala and the chicken was very tender. We ended the meal with tiramisu which was a good portion for the price! Please give Eddies kitchen a try. We will be back. The Caesar Salad here is very good - fresh and full of flavor with an excellent dressing and yummy croutons that don't break your teeth (5/5). My pasta was perfectly al dente and the seafood was not overcooked, it was perfect. Jake's chicken with fontina cheese and Prosciutto was delicious also. Rich in flavor that meshed well. The brussle sprouts should have been charred, in my humble opinion. Also, the apple bread pudding texturaly would have been better with crisp edges, but flavor was all there. Eddie's is brand new in the old spot where the new Sizzling Tandoor used to be. I was craving some Italian food for lunch so I placed an online order of their linguini with clams (added shrimp +$8). It came out to be almost $40 which is very expensive for even a lunch portion. It came with a side of garlic bread pieces. Flavor was good, fresh food but it aint cheap to dine here! There was also a system error when I placed an order. I hit submit and it refreshed and took me back to the ordering page. I submitted the order again which resulted in 2 charges and 2 orders being placed. I did not know but a few mins after the order was placed, I got a call from the restaurant asking me if I meant to place two orders and I told them no and what happened. When I arrived to pick up, they refunded me for the extra order. Good new restaurant to try in the Downtown area! read more

I really wanted to like this place because of all the good reviews but the food was just not good. We started with complimentary bread that was cold. I asked the server if we could get warm bread and she brought back bread that was slightly a bit warm but not really, bummer. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara because all of the reviews said it was good but no it was very under seasoned I had to ask for salt. The truffle fries were probably the best thing at our table. I am starting to think the city of Santa Rosa just doesn't have good food because the reviews are very misleading. The service however was great. Tried this place for the first time last week and loved everything about it. Food was amazing and so were the portion sizes. Lisa our server was the only server/bartender working and gave great service despite being extremely busy. She recommended the sangria to us which was the best I've ever had. Summit State Bank Christmas dinner. They were able to not only accommodate our group, but the food and service were on point! There was not one hiccup during our time there. We recently tried this place finally for the first time and had a very good experience. It was not stellar, but it was very good and was limited to a lunch, with a weekend brunch menu, so we definitely are interested in trying the more interesting and varied dinner menu. We both had the eggs in purgatory, which came with potatoes and buttery garlic toast. Overall, this was excellent. The dishes came out very hot. The sauce was very flavourful and balanced. However, one of the dishes came out slightly oily, an inconsistency, and the sauce was a little too runny. It would have been better a little thickened, perhaps cooked a little longer (the eggs were fine but they could have been better with a little more cooking; for reference, we generally like our eggs over medium; I'm ok with them less cooked but my wife is less forgiving). Overall, the eggs and sauce together were just a little liquidy and runny. The yolks should definitely be in the runny side, but overall, it was all just a little too much like that. They were nicely seasoned and salt level perfect. (4 for the eggs in purgatory themselves). The eggs, as said, came with potatoes and garlic toast, and these really elevated the dish. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned, nicely browned and lightly crispy on the outside, not hard. (5 for the potatoes). The garlic toast was very lightly garlicky, nicely buttery, and toasty, actually like fried bread and seemed to be pan fried in butter. (5 for that). The toast and potatoes went perfectly with the eggs and sauce, complementing it well. Overall, it was about 4.5 as a whole. A little improvement on the points mentioned and it would have been a 5. We also split the mango ginger spring salad. This was very nicely dressed and prepared, the mango nicely diced into little pieces to spread evenly. The dressing was perfect, light, not too sweet, which is a threat with mango or other fruit in dressing, and thus well balanced. We're not big fans of spring salad mixes, so that was a slight negative from our point of view, but it was fresh and nice. (4.5 stars). We had the white wine sangria, which was very good. (4 stars). Service was good, very friendly, enthusiastic, and efficient. They did some pretty nice work redecorating this place, with a nice bar and interesting wood benches along the wall. The ambience was overall good. There were, however some little aspects which seemed a little rough and needed attention - a little dusting here and there, and a light plug right near the back of one of the seating spots along the wall (it sticks out and should have been a flat cord and plug so as not to poke the diner's back or arm). read more

I have gone here twice and was totally satisfied with my food and the service. I eat simple vegetarian and their garlic capellini pasta is so good!! I add a vegetable to it and my palette is dancing. A friend suggested we try Eddie's Kitchen for dinner a few days ago, and based on the reviews, seemed like a good idea. We had made a reservation and got seated right on time, around 6:30pm. Despite not being full, it was quite noisy and difficult to hear my dinner partner. Missed most of what he said! The decor was really lovely. We got bread right away, which was OK. No great flavor. Our server Brenda was prompt, and took our orders right away. I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara, and my friend ordered the Chicken Marsala. We ordered these because we had eaten these 2 dishes at 2 other local Italian restaurants and they were fabulous at both of them. Took a bit of time to get our meals. We got our dinners, and what a let down. My Spaghetti Carbonara was cool, not creamy, not really flavorful at all. It tasted like it was prepared and the flavors had no time to "meld". I kept tasting it, hoping it would get better. It did not. Had my friend taste it, and he had the same response. Meh. I then tasted his Chicken Marsala: it was also lukewarm. The chicken was tender, but the sauce was thin and tasteless as were the mushrooms. The vegetables had some sort of tomato-y sauce on them, which did not seem to add anything , especially not taste. The veggies were mushy, and potato chunks as well were soft and mushy. Really disappointing: the prices were reasonable, but the food bland and lack luster. The bathroom was spotless, and it would be easy to get in and out of the dining room and bathroom if you needed assistance from a walker or wheelchair. By the end of the meal, I just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. Between the noise and the sad food, I wanted it to be over. We will be returning to our other favorite Italian places when we want delicious Italian food. read more

It is very safe and clean, no homeless around and plenty of patrols around. Our server was fantastic, she new her plates and kept checking on us. The food was authentic and delicious. I guess we started on the wrong foot with SUPER STALE croutons in the salad, and it kind of went downhill from there. Service was pretty bad, our server was mostly absent, and as a result the pacing was really off. To top it off the food wasn't that great. Even the wine seemed old, like it had been open for days. We skipped desert. We were excited to try it - but were happy to leave. I hope we just caught them on off night, but I can't recommend this restaurant based on our dining experience. read more

Started with arugula and beet salad, which was good but not outstanding. Portions very generous and prices are fair. I had the pork chop Valdostano with prosciutto, fontina cheese and wine or sherry. Delicious. My friends had chicken marsala, meatballs and spaghetti, and linguine with clams. Everybody was satisfied with their selections and their meals. The menu is extensive and there are a couple of nightly specials. Highly recommend. Beer and wine only. They add a small charge for using your credit card, but with portions and food quality so high, it was a small price to pay. read more

What a treat! We read about Eddie's Kitchen in the local Sunday paper and decided to try out this new Italian restaurant near downtown Santa Rosa. Lucky us! Eddie was a longtime cook at another local Italian restaurant and has embarked on recently opening his own establishment. Eddie has created a wonderful local atmosphere. The staff work together and seem united by a common goal of making their customers feel welcome and appreciated. Our server Jesus, was attentive, made good recommendations explaining his reasons why and helped to make our dining experience pleasurable. I believe each and every one df the servers thanked us for supporting their new endeavor. How refreshing in this post pandemic era where genuine good customer service is a rarity. Eddie came out personally to thank us for dining with them. Not only is Eddie a wonderful chef but he is gracious and his food exudes his persona. The food? Welcoming, fresh, good flavors, classic dishes with unique tastes that were delicious. The portions are generous. The calamari was delicate and tasty. The mango ginger salad was light and a nice complement to the pasta dishes. The pasta carbonara was rich, savory with a nice peppery taste that came through. The penne special with pancetta was spicy and the pasta cooked perfectly. I ate my dish way too fast. We shared for dessert the bread pudding with a caramel topping. It is made in house. Wanted to give Eddie's a try and I have to say for a restaurant barely open 2 months they are turning out some very good food. Eddie's is a large restaurant with well spaced tables in a comfortable setting. A large menu, focused on Italian and there is Something for everyone. There were three of us and we started with the Fried Calamari and salad with ginger mango dressing. Both very good. We also Ordered the Lasagna Bolognese for the table to share. Excellent with lot's of meaty cheesy goodness. Sauce was as good as Mom's and that is saying something! For entrees we had the Scallops Risotto, Pork Parmesan and Pork Valdostana. All three were tasty, well prepared and large portions. Enough for lunch today! Also had the Tiramisu which was creamy and delicious. Our server was very helpful and described several dishes in detail. We took her advice and were not disappointed.
