The Capital Grille at the Mall at Millenia is definitely worth a visit! I ordered the 22-ounce ribeye Oscar style with lump crab and asparagus. The steak itself was excellent, but the real star was the Oscar topping. The restaurant was generous with the large chunks of fresh lump crab, and it was seasoned perfectly. It took an already great steak to the next level. We also shared the lobster mac and cheese and scalloped potatoes, and both were delicious. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meals as well. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxing, and even though it's located at the Mall at Millenia, parking was easy. My Father's Day experience at the capital Grille was noisy, but nice! Being a Father's Day, you had the entire family, including infants, all at tables enjoying themselves, even though the occasional screaming kid was a little bit jarring! Our waiter who has waited on me before seemed a bit frazzled with all of the large crowds and was not as attentive as all of them were actually when it wasn't so busy. The food is excellent pricey but excellent the 8 ounce fillet melted like butter and the cream spinach would have been one of Popeyes favorites! All in all a lovely dinner, especially the crème brûlée cheesecake which I shared with my parish priest, who also is a father, and I thought it would be nice to treat him to this delicious dinner which he probably could not have afforded. We always have an exceptional experience when we dine here. It is our tradition to celebrate New Year's Eve here and we've been doing it for almost 15 years. Our server Pablo is absolutely exceptional always gives five star service and is just a joy to be around. We started with the classic lobster bisque (comes in a cup or bowl) and while it's not always on the menu, they always have it. You just have to ask the server. The soup is thick and creamy and it's always packed full of lobster. For entrées I opted for the dry aged New York strip with a side of the Courvoisier cream it is one of my absolute go to. the steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce is just absolutely delicious. My husband got the Porter house and it's a beautiful looking steak seasoned well cooked perfectly on the inside, and we got an order of the soy glazed brussels sprouts to share. Again, this is one of our go to sides as the flavoring is excellent, and they put nice big chunks of thick bacon in it as well. We don't typically get dessert, but because it was New Year's Eve, we were celebrating so we got their flourless chocolate cake which again is one of our go-tos. It's dense and tastes almost like fudge. It's so good. There is Valet parking that is available right outside, but if you don't want to pay the valet parking fees, you can go to the parking garage and park there and walk. You need to buy your sides separately. And all of the drinks are around $20. Once I got over the shock of the price menu because this is not my typical dining experience, I truly enjoyed the food. Celebrated our anniversary at The Capital Grille last weekend and ordered from the Magical Dining Menu. I ordered the sliced filet mignon and my husband ordered the 10 oz filet. The sides of creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were included and they were delicious. The steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly and the onions and mushrooms that came with my entree were so flavorful. The creme brulee I ordered for dessert tasted wonderful and was nice and creamy. They even brought our desserts out on a nice platter that read Happy Anniversary. Our server and assistant were attentive and checked on us regularly. The restaurant inside is a little dark, but not to the point where you can't read the menu without some light like other restaurants. We checked in at the host stand and saw party after party after party that came in after us get sat before we did. When we finally got sat, we were sat in a secluded room by the windows. It felt like we were being hidden away from the rest of the diners. We got greeted and we mentioned interest in participating in Magical Dining and that's where everything went downhill fast. Our server Darius was polite, but his entire demeanor changed. When we asked for recommendations he recommended everything that was an add on and had an additional charge... nothing that was already included. As a server myself, I know that tactic; push the expensive stuff to bump up the check. Servers rarely stopped by the table and food took forever to come out. Dinner took almost 3 hours, which is insane! Our food was placed in front of the wrong person as well as when we were being marked for the next course. We asked for split checks and I had things on my check that belonged to another person, my friend ended up giving me cash. Overall, the entire experience was a waste of time and money. I didn't have high expectations since it's a Darden restaurant, but they completely ruined our dining experience. read more

The task to get it validated is a little involved for the first time but no so bad as some parking apps I have used before. It feels like an old-school steakhouse. The Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad with Crushed Pistachios and Citrus Vinaigrette - Roasted red beets with mixed greens, arugula, whipped goat cheese, arugula pesto, heirloom tomatoes, crushed pistachios and citrus vinaigrette to start was amazing but the beets and the goat cheese were oddly hidden below the greens to the point where you wondered if you got the correct salad served. The Au Gratin Potatoes - Hearty slices layered with a blend of cheeses - not to be missed, well, can be missed. Not enough flavor. The Soy-Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon - Brussels Sprouts with smoked bacon lardons, however, were like crack. Not that I have ever had the experience of crack, but you get the idea. The Pan-Seared Sea Bass with Miso Butter - Shiitake Mushrooms, Asparagus and Miso Butter, for my main course was great. My steak was undercooked and over seasoned and my wife's steak was cooked properly but over seasoned. The table two over from us had a guy vaping. I paid for fine dining and received a 2 star experience for 4 star prices. I gave it a three star review to be kind. In sum, it is a tourist trap in my view. Our waitstaff, you can tell he was pushy and rushing us-starts off by saying, "I recommend you ordering everything at the same time because our kitchen is busy." Then proceeds to pour some water in my glass and ice chips are falling on the table. Also, I ordered one of the steak chef recommendations (medium) and my husband also ordered a steak (medium) but his steak comes out well. Way over cooked! Our lobster mac and cheese was bland, the waitstaff recommended the squash soup as a favorite but to me it was not good. Honestly the only thing good and worth the hype were the French fries and the bacon our friends had. There are definitely better establishments that we have been to with better quality and I had to say that because capital grille is/was amazing but they have to do better. The heirloom and burrata salad was very good too, great for a shareable appetizer. For meals there were many items ordered and I cannot speak for how things were, however the lobster tails were huge and looked good and I heard the waygu was delicious (it was the American one). I personally ordered the sliced filet with cipollini onions, wild mushrooms, and fig essence. It was very good. I wanted ribeye but the server suggested that be cooked no less than medium and I prefer medium rare so I went with the filet. We ordered a bunch of sides for the table: hash browns with caviar, lobster Mac and cheese, mushrooms, au gratin potatoes, creamed spinach, and Brussels sprouts. All were very good but the hash browns, lobster mac, and Brussels were probably my favorite. For dessert I ordered the coconut cream pie. This thing was massive. Participated in the generous pour and sampled six varieties of great wines for $45. Also had magical dining which was an amazing experience. The filets here are always the best. The only thing that didn't allow me was the clam chowder, everything else was above and beyond. It added to the fun of the evening. We started with a shrimp cocktail and the dirty goose martini. (Not pictured) This was phenomenal! The shrimp was huge and the cocktail sauce was perfect!! The martini was perfectly prepared and the bleu cheese stuffed olives were *chef's kiss* For our entrees, I had our server's recommendation the double Cajun filet. This was PERFECT! I'm not sure if the Cajun spice caused the crust on the filet to be crisp or if that is the norm here, but it was phenomenal. The steak was cooked perfectly. Anthony had the Sea Bass and it was great as well! We also had the Lobster Mac & Cheese and the Spinach. Both sides were also great. A weekend getaway had us in Orlando this go around. While out in about, we ended up at Orlando's premiere shopping experience (The Mall at Millenia). Just so happen, it had The Capital Grille attached to it. We were hungry and even though we had on shorts and sneakers, The Capital Grille welcomed us with open arms. I made the command decision to choose the patio option although she was looking at the formal dining room.
