We went to Jack's Place last evening to celebrate our anniversary. As always the staff was welcoming and attentive. Our server was Natalie and she was excellent. We like the pesto that is served with the bread. To be honest we use it on our steaks as well. Natalie made sure we had plenty. The food as always was perfectly cooked and presented. We chose from the Magical Dining menu that included an appetizer, main and dessert. We usually don't order dessert but took the cheese cake home and it was delicious. Had some family staying at the Rosen Plaza so we ended up dining at Jack's Place. It was a calm Wednesday night with only a few other tables seated. An intimate mood is set with the low, ambient lighting. The older members of our party found our particular spot too dark, but it didn't bother me. Our server Daniel (I believe) was phenomenal! The menus have a blurb on the front, providing some background about the restaurant's history. The print is tiny, though. No problem because Daniel filled us in thoroughly. His depth of knowledge was very impressive, like a skilled tour guide. He also made helpful recommendations and ensured all our needs were met with satisfaction. As for the food, it was good yet short of excellent. All of us agreed we have had the dish done better somewhere else, but it was still enjoyable. Everyone really liked the calamari and I ate more bread than I intended because the dipping pesto was yummy. Ive been here before for a Yelp event, they treated us so well that I had some expectations. Went last weekend for Magical Dinning for which they're on the $40 so it's a great deal. Apparently my server Assim felt that since the whole party was ordering from this menu we were not entitled to regular attentive service. As he approached the table and saw we all were having the magical dining menu he closed and slammed a regular menu that my friend was taking a picture of. He was very curt and just wanted to get us out of his table apparently... The gentleman serving the waters was way more attentive than our server. Water was dripping from the air vents which caused a great inconvenience for us and I guess for the server too since now we needed to switch tables... The salad lacked dressing but it was okay. Our steak came extremely SALTY, almost as salty as our server...but since our server was so unapproachable we decided to not complain and just leave it at that. Assim never offered us a second drink or refills, thankfully the guy serving waters kept our cups full. The cartoon artist was the saving grace of this experience. He was nice and polite and wasn't really expecting any tips but we tipped him for his wonderful jobs and service. The food has great potential but a better service would elevate the experience to a whole other level. So was in Orlando for the SFA Spacepower Conference and stayed at the Rosen Plaza in Orlando. We would wind up eating at the lounge two straight nights and grabbing dinner there at the restaurant. The first night we just sampled several appetizers - shrimp cocktail, calamari, and ahi tuna. The shrimp was grilled and was just ok. The calamari was great and we enjoyed it. Tender and crisp with nice dunking sauces. The tuna was the surprise with the cracked black pepper. I haven't had it that way before but definitely would try it again. On the second night we both ordered the crab cakes and they were definitely well cooked and loved the flavor. The staff was exceptional and we wound up also trying a few after dinner drinks. Really loved the Nuts and Berries and even cloned it last night here at the house! The final night we went for dinner. We each tried the Surf and Turf special. My 8 oz filet was perfectly cooked - I ordered Medium and it turned out fantastic. Loved the crisp string onions and the meat was tender and tasted great. The filet sat on a bed of scalloped potatoes and they were also delicious. Butter and cheese made them even better. The surf was a lobster tail. Unfortunately, mine was overcooked and was so soft it just fell apart. Yasir was our server and he was great. Friendly for start to finish and always made great recommendations. The Chocolate Torte was outstanding and we split it as we were so full from dinner. Overall, Jack's was an up and down experience. We hosted a business dinner here and the food, staff, and ambiance were all lovely. They printed prix fixe menus with our company logo. I had the filet mignon with au gratin potatoes and it was delicious. The highlight for me, though, was the key lime pie! Hands down the most delicious key lime I've ever had. We saw the amazing photos and advertisements surrounding Jack's place and Bite30 so we knew it had to be one of the places we tried this month. I was able to get a reservation with just a couple days notice and when I accidentally made the reservation for the wrong day the young lady who answered the phone was so helpful to move our reservation one more day. We arrived on time and were seated immediately. Jack's Place is located inside of one of the Rosen hotels which we didn't realize until we were on our way. It was easy to find once we got inside though. We were seated and we each ordered one of their beers that is made specifically for Jack's. We obviously did the Bite30 menu, both of us getting the crab cake as an appt, I got the tomahawk pork chop & my SO got the filet for entrees. I got the flourless chocolate cake for dessert and he got the key lime pie. My food was great, my SO had to send back his steak because it was over cooked. He ordered it med-rare and it was more medium done. My pork chop was delicious and so were the crab cake and chocolate cake. Service was a little slow though, there were multiple periods where we were just sitting and waiting, looking for our server, wondering where he was. Overall Jack's Place was good but I'm not sure that it lived up to the hype! read more

I was so excited about this place, we went for the first time to have dinner. It's inside the hotel, he's a complementary parking or paid vallet. We had reservation but restaurant wasn't full. We just ordered some soda and beer, they brought an complementary bread with a really good kind of pesto sauce(amazing) After 15 minutes still waiting for beers, and as soon our appetizer arrived I just asked to cancel the beer's as I like to enjoy before the meal. We had the crab cake that was amazing, I could eat every single day in my life The onion soup was horrible, tasted like canned onion soup with cheese. We asked about the bread, if we could order more (not because of the bread, but because we still had that amzzing amazing sauce) the waiter told us that would be charged 10 bucks for one tray of small bread, we were in 4, just received one to split, but for 10 bucks I declined, it's not about the price, but the bread isn't worth, wasn't a good bread not worth even 3 bucks. But the nightmare happened with our main dish, our file took more than 1 hour and 20 minutes, they blamed my wife saying that she asked well done and that was the cause of the delay. Cmon wouldn't take more than 10 min max to do that, and at that time our 3 years old started being bored... After all the delay our dishs arrived, wife's was OK, my friend (Medium) was OK but mine Medium was WAY overcooked. I cut in the middle and showed that they overcooked a lot, wasn't even red... Só I waited about 25 minutes and they brought a new file (but looked like they used the same sides that were in the plate before. This steak was one of the best I had in my life, that time the manager come and asked to cut in front of her (probably she wasn't confident about the point) Was so tender, I could even taste the difference of my friends steak that come correct to mine, was much better. The deserts are big! Specially the passion fruit creme brulee (but a little sweet for my taste) The flowerless chocolate cake was really good. At the end of our nightmare manager come again, said sorry and didn't charge one of our 4 plates. Food was really good, but experience wasn't good, I don't know if I will go back again, maybe I give another chance, but the service was so bad and our water wasn't friendly (when we asked why our order we'd taking more than an hour and half he said was because of the well done file, my wife told that was impossible and he just replied "yes, it is, do you want to talk with the manager?" she wouldn't, but as he suggested she said yes... We drove almost an hour to this restaurant to try magical dining for the first time, as well as try this restaurant. We did research before and saw some reviews with what is now my same experience. Upon arrival, you have the option to either pay $15 for valet parking (located at the front entrance of the hotel) or self park (located to the left when you pull in. We had to pull around twice for self parking because when you pull up to the gate there is no option to pick for "just restaurant", so you would have to pay up to $25 just for parking...luckily once we pulled around the second time because we were so confused, a kind gentlemen was working the parking lot gate so we were able to explain to him that we were just going to the restaurant; so he let us right in without having to pay for parking. We arrived about 10 minutes prior to our reservation time and was seated about 5 minutes prior to checking in for our reservation. (Make sure to ask for the magical dining menu when you have checked in at the hostess desk) Once seated we were served water immediately, and our server for the night introduced herself just minutes after sitting down. Our server was Sophia, she was very kind and made us feel very comfortable. She answered any questions we had and checked in often (but not too often). My boyfriend had the "Manhattan Clam Chowder" and I had the "Chilled West Indies Salad" for our first course. The clam chowder was great, full of flavor and was very light! The salad was honestly amazing. So fresh, so flavorful, so light but satisfying! Everything blended nicely together complimented one another. I had never had a salad like this before, and has now made me more open to trying something like this, I loved it! For our second course we both had the "Filet Mignon 6oz" (his cooked medium, and mine cooked medium rare). Here is where things started to take a turn for the worst. My boyfriend's steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. However, my steak, though was cooked seemingly correct, was not good quality. There was a sour, metallic after taste to every.single.bite.... the most shameful part of this, on my end, is the fact that I couldn't truly accept this until almost half the steak was eaten. I thought maybe I am just imagining things, or maybe it's been too long since eating a filet. But after consuming so many bites the after taste became overwhelming and nauseating. That's when I had to confirm with my boyfriend, who, with one bite had to spit out the piece and couldn't stomach it. I felt so embarrassed and disgusted that I had eaten this steak. After this, I smelled the steak too as I began investigating whether or not I have just eaten a spoiled cut of steak, and it too had that awful smell that was similar to what I was tasting. I am not one to complain regularly. I was taught to eat what was on my plate and never complain but this was far too worrisome a situation that I had to speak up. The manager, Stephanie, came over to ask how everything was going and this is when I took my opportunity. We tried our best to explain that this steak had something very wrong with it, and that it felt unsafe to consume. Stephanie was very kind and understanding of this. She was also very accommodating to our situation. She offered us many replacements and options, which I was not expecting, but at that point I could hardly think about eating. Stephanie kindly took care of us though. Our server Sophia also came over afterwards and expressed her apologies for my meal's quality. The desserts were good as well. My boyfriend had the "Chocolate Mousse" and I the "Jack's Key Lime Pie". You can never go wrong with either of these, and they were delicious as can be expected. Though the initial experience starting out was good, the situation with the steak kind of ruined the rest of the experience for me as I was then too concerned if I might've just given myself food poisoning. One of the only things that really helped this experience was the wonderful, amazing, and very talented Ron!!! Ronald Weber is the caricature artist there. He came over and offered to draw us, which we were so excited about. He needs to take a picture of you in order to do this, so be prepared for that. He came back, quite quickly might I add, with the most AMAZING finished product. I will be framing this! Ron was truly so kind and you could feel his positive energy and happiness radiating off of him. I truly hope this guy is recognized for his work. Ron immediately helped cheer me up after such an unfortunate experience with this, and we will cherish this art forever! Majority of my stars are for Ron, our server Sophia, and the manager Stephanie. Those three made our experience the most positive. The staff is caring and attentive, and the restaurant is clean with a unique, intimate theme. Went here for bite 30 and was very impressed. I got the bacon wrapped scallops as an appetizer which was okay it was a little salty I probably would not get that again. My entree was the wagyu beef burger with fries and it was delicious. The sauce on the burger was so tasty and the meat was cooked perfectly. I got bread pudding as dessert which was also delicious. Ronnald and I wanted to try out one of the participating restaurants of Bite 30. I ended up choosing this place. I have regrets because it was just not that good. I had not taken the time to check the most recent reviews and I would possibly have changed our choice. The establishment was very nice. It's inside a Rosen hotel. Parking is complimentary for the restaurant which is great. Everyone was very friendly. Service was good. First complimentary warm bread with butter and pesto comes out. It was good. For first course we both picked the French onion soup. I wanted the crab cake but changed my mind after reading the reviews. However the French onion soup was in my personal option not good. It was fine but whoever decided to put a slice of bread in there that soaked up all the juice and there was not really any soup just soaked bread with cheese over it, ruined it for me (see picture). Flavor wise it was good. The main dish was an absolute failure. I had salmon with rice and vegetables. It was as bland as can be and very over cooked. Simply not good. I hardly ate any and took it home to my dog. The dessert was outstanding. I had something called passion fruit cheesecake crème brûlée and it was all that yet not too much, delicious. Presentation also amazing. And a huge portion. We found out desserts are not made in home but bought from an external company which made sense how this was so excellent but my other courses were so bad. My colleague and I walked over from the convention center after the last day of the conference. They accept Open Table reservations. We were greeted and seated politely and promptly by the hostess. Ambiance is great. Intimate setting with the caricatures adorning the walls reminiscent of a famous NYC landmark. We each ordered steak with the vegetables and potatoes accompanied as described in the menu. The red wine my colleague ordered paired well with the dish. We had seconds on the wine. This has been a place we have very much enjoyed over the years. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is upscale and the caricatures are so fun. We went the last night with our close friends and it was wonderful with excellent service by Sofia. We started with the complimentary bread and 'crack' pesto. The pesto is very delicious but I felt as thought it was almost too powerful in pesto flavor and needed more olive oil or something to tame it. Don't get me wrong - I still ate it...and, I always love their butter. Appetizers were the cheesy onion soup, New England clam chowder, ahi tuna and the Caesar salad. All were excellent. The soup was large enough to take some home. Next up was the filet, sea bass and chicken saltimbocca. These were well executed and delicious. We thought the sea bass was not as melt in your mouth as last time we went but still great. The server suggested the chicken and I loved it. I had never had it before and anything wrapped in prosciutto or bacon, I'm in. The al dente pesto pasta was an amazing accompaniment to the dish. We took leftovers here too. Desserts were the macaroons with lemon gelato - simple and refreshing. And, the key lime pie and chocolate torte. The torte was the rock star. Wow. Super chocolatey! Staying at the Rosen Plaza and decided to try the restaurant due to its claim of being voted "the best steakhouse on international drive." Granted, we didn't order steak but food was mediocre at best. We arrived around 5:30pm and were the only ones in the restaurant. Our waiter, Nasir, was very friendly and attentive. My espresso martini was also great! Our food came out surprisingly fast. I had the Chilled West Indies Salad and Scallop/risotto dish. The scallops arrived with minimal sear and were still overcooked. The smaller of the scallops were downright rubber while the others were kind of chewy. Risotto was Ok. Broccolini was good, though! The restaurant made it right by giving us 25% off our bill which I returned to Nasir in his tip. He deserves it. Overall, not impressed and won't eat here again. read more

Where to start... oh I know, the amazing seafood platter. I don't even like cake, but I will eat these crab cakes all day until I turn purple. I may be allergic, but it is worth the epipen. Trust me. It is a bit pricey and it is an off menu item, but by far the starlight of the show. I lied. The starlight of the show actually was our server Erick who embraces the definition of 5-star service. Witty banter had my friend and I laughing the entire night. Served us with a smile, made excellent recommendations and paired a nice Malbec with our steak - I'll get to that thing later... Later is now. This steak, oh my god. The crust was so good it makes Papa John's "well done" look like a pizza without the oven. This thing was crispier than KFC extra crispy wings. It literally taught Popeyes how to cook in Louisiana that's how good this crust was. The flavor profile is intense, very well seasoned through each bite and it left me wanting my next bite. The ambiance is cozy, warm and inviting and it is an awesome spot to bring a date, Jack's Place is now my place. Honestly this is possibly the worst meal I've ever had. We were staying at the hotel due to Power being out & hurricane mess. We were excited to have a hot meal & enjoy magical dining here. The food was like school kid lunch is the best way I can describe it. Bread- hard, dry, store bought. They do serve it was a pesto sauce that was good. The Cesar salad was the most basic Cesar salad you can get. Filet- first one came out wayyy over cooked. It was like beef jerkey. Second one came out about 30 mins later and was very fatty and seemed like it was boiled in water. Absolutely no char at all, no flavor. Mashed potatoes were okay. Also came with ONE asparagus. I ordered the salmon which two people working told me it was good. It was the most dry fishy salmon I've ever had. I also asked to sub the rice pilaf it came w for Brussel sprouts which they did. These were the absolute worst Brussel sprouts I've ever had a restaurant. Also only came w about 6! I had asked the server to not cook any of my veggies in butter or oil please & he actually said "oh we don't" which was a lie because my veggies were covered in butter. My husband did like The key lime pie. The chocolate pie on the magical dining menu was good but whatever the stuff is on top seems stale. This is my first visit to Jack's Place for dinner after I attended a Yelp event here last month. I was impressed then, and this visit confirmed my opinion of this fine dining establishment within the Rosen Hotel. I made a reservation for Magical Dining and magical it was! When I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the hostess and the Assistant Manager, Stephanie, who remembered me from the Yelp Event. That started off a perfect dining experience as my guest and I were escorted to the VIP table toward the back of the restaurant! I had previously requested Tara as my server (I met Tara at the Yelp Event and was immediately impressed) and she was all smiles and friendly as before when she showed up to the table. The Magical Dining menus as well as the regular menus were already sitting on the table as I requested when I made my reservation. We decided to go with the Magical Dining menu ($40 for three courses) as the choices were incredible and the selection was impressive. We started out with the Baked Onion Soup, which consisted of three cheeses, including crusted Focaccia melted cheese on top. Absolutely delicious! For the main course, we ordered the Chef's Special Gulf Coast Red Snapper (Tara's recommendation) and the 8-ounce Filet Mignon. We added the Oscar-Style Crab with Asparagus and Hollandaise Sauce for an upcharge of $15. The presentation of both dinners was a sight to see with the crab and hollandaise draped over the filet and the asparagus on the side. The filet came with au gratin potato, associated vegetables and curly fried onions on top. We requested the steak be cooked medium and it was mouth-watering and did not disappoint. The red snapper also came with au gratin potato and a vegetable medley, with curly fried onions on top. The fish was light, moist and delicious and the potion was more than generous! For dessert, we selected Jack's Key Lime pie (very light and smooth) and the Chef's Special Macaroons (three varieties) with a side of gelato. It was the perfect ending to a perfect meal! Given our full and satisfied stomachs, we enjoyed another round of The Einstein (vodka. elderflower liqueur and fresh cucumbers) to relax and take in the ambiance of the caricature portraits drawn by Jack Rosen aligning the walls of the restaurant. They are worth the visit just by themselves. At the end of the evening, my friend, Felicia and Tara had a great conversation over each other's children, astrology signs and other fun topics. Felicia and Tara even exchanged phone numbers so that we could all get together in the future. I definitely will return to Jack's Place for the fantastic ambiance, the great food and the top-notch service of Tara and the entire staff of this fine dining restaurant. read more

First time at Jack's and had a great experience overall! Was a bit confused finding the place and didn't realize they were located inside Rosen Center. I ubered so didn't need to struggle with parking or valet. If you drive, give yourself time to find parking or choose valet if possible. We had reservations for a party of 10 and were all super excited to try the bite30 menu. However, it was informed to us that bite30 is only valid for groups of 8 or less (this was not specified on their website at the time of booking our reservation which was weeks in advance). We asked the waitress to see if 8 people can order from the bite30 menu while 2 ordered from regular and management was able to make that accommodation for us. I ordered the salmon as my entry, crab cake as an appetizer, and the raspberry crème brûlée as my dessert. I also ordered 3 cocktails with my dinner: espresso martini, dirty martini, and another specialty vodka cocktail with elderflower liqueur (I cannot think of the name) and they were also very nicely made. Our waitress did great at keeping track of everyone's orders and the food came out pretty fast! Bite30 was a perfect way to try out this place and I'd definitely be willing to come back and try other things on the menu. *I do see the party size limit is now on their website*. Since I ordered off the bite30 menu, my total came out to $70~after tax which is an amazing deal! I'd definitely order this even if it weren't on the bite30 menu pricing. read more

We came here for the Bite30 special. I was looking forward to trying this restaurant since it had pretty good reviews. my husband enjoyed his onion soup and pork chop but my crabcake and salmon were not good at all. The crab cake tasted like a fish cake and the salmon was overcooked. The only redeeming part of my meal was a couple bites of salmon that I put some pesto on and the complimentary bread that is served warm. I would absolutely never go back to this restaurant and I would recommend no one order anything seafood off the menu. When we arrived, it was not that busy but it took at least 15 minutes for a server to come to our table. It was very strange, he walked up and asked if anyone had helped us yet. We said no and he said OK well, I will be taking care of you tonight. There was a table of about 12 people that was seated shortly before we arrived so that may have thrown things off. They really should take that crab cake off the menu or just call it a fish cake so people aren't disappointed. Self parking is free even though there's a gate and it looks like you might be charged. There's also numbers on the parking spots but it apparently doesn't matter where you park. read more

We started the Valentines pre fixe with a nice serving of lobster bisque followed by the main course. My guest ordered Filet Mignon which was cooked to perfection. It was juicy tender and flavorful. I enjoyed The seafood pasta which had a nice balance of seafood to pasta and included all of the favorite shellfish selections with a light red sauce. We finished the evening with desserts. We both enjoyed the Chocolate caramel molten lava cake with ice cream and a chocolate covered strawberry. Appetizers were awesome. Most of us had the filet mignon, which was perfect. Some Oscar-style, which they raved about. NY Cheese Cake was actually real NY Cheesecake flown down. Server was very attentive. I would have given 5 stars but the ending left a bad taste in our mouths. We had 6 in our party and spent over $800 for dinner/drinks. I am from Orlando and drove, plus the out of towners had 2 cars. The valet was $30, but the rude guy running the stand said he was giving us a deal for eating at the hotel and knocked it down to $15. Sorry, after paying for a meal like that the valet should be free. I won't be bringing visiting guests back here. There are other great restaurants in the area where you can park for free. read more

My colleagues and I came here for dinner while visiting Orlando on work travel. Let me state: this restaurant is located in the Rosen hotel. Navigation had us lost for a hot second. The staff at this restaurant were amazing from the bartender at the bar, to the restaurant manager, our server and even the guy who brought us water and bread. Forgive me for being racial: he is a young black guy, college aged who gave us a detailed history of the restaurant and the drawings on the wall - which I SO APPRECIATE! We arrived around 6:30ish... the restaurant manager was at the hostess's stand. He was super friendly and even though our reservation was until 7 pm, He showed us to our table. I believe his name is (Nick?) sorry for forgetting! One of my colleague tried the onion soup based on our server's recommendation- which he loved so much! Another colleague ordered the lamb and I ordered the sea bass. They even had Junior's cheesecake... as a NYer that was shocking for Overall, everything about our experience was perfect. read more

We came here for Bite30 and had a lovely dinner. Ceaser salad had plenty of dressing and delicious croutons made in house. They have bread service with pesto sauce and butter. The filet mignon was cooked to temperature appropriately. The carrots were undercooked though. The choc cake and key lime pie were tasty. Slow service but we were not in a rush so we enjoyed our date there. There was a caricature artist that drew us free of charge. (Bring some cash so you can tip though) read more

We absolutely loved our experience! We chose to celebrate Father's Day here for dinner... we were treated to amazing service from Alberto! He was so attentive, informative, polite, and professional! We started with cocktails, salads, and soup, both which were delightful. Our entrees were brought out in a timely and manner and can't rave about them enough. We ordered prime rib- cooked to perfection of asking- medium rare, sea bass with a side of lobster- favorite that ever person at our table wish they had ordered, and crab cakes with mash potatoes. We ended our meal with cheesecake (mistakenly brought to us, but happily obliged) and it was so good! It tasted fresh with real cream cheese. And the macaroon was delicious as well. The only minimal con was the crab cake didn't have much flavor and was rather fishy- but all other aspects from the moment we sat down to leaving, were absolutely perfect! Hidden gem in the Rosen. Always thought of the Rosen as low budge. But this place is pretty good for steak lovers, you are in for a treat! Tucked away in the back off the lobby bar, it's known for its cozy ambiance and top-quality, perfectly aged steaks. June 3rd Jack's Place features a beautiful story, a fun experience, & the most delicious food. Every Friday & Saturday, a caricature artist is present to sketch you a complimentary caricature while dining -- how cool is that! Also, the food is amazing, it was a night for sauces!! We admittedly finished 2 servings of their complimentary bread, the Gorgonzola pesto dipping sauce was everything. Course 1: The Baked Onion soup was a favorite, but I would drink a bottle of Jack's House Salad sangria vinaigrette. Course 2: I need to take home the herb horseradish butter on top of the Filet Mignon, but arguably put aside the shoyu sauce from the macadamia nut chicken. Highly attentive service. The steak was great, however the star of the show was the pesto. I'd have taken a bath in it if offered. The complimentary bread was savages devoured with as much pesto as I could put on top of it. I almost went back a second night for the pesto. read more

We found this dining experience truly "Magical". It was the first experience in the 2023 Magical Dining series and definitely was exceptional. Can't give a high enough recommendation since everything was perfect. My steak was delicious and the red snapper was exceptional. I've been to better upscale restaurants. We had reservations but it was not busy on Friday night. The service was amazing, Amal and gentlemen training were great (sorry I can't remember his name). The ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner. They have artists that do complimentary caricatures. We started with drinks, we both had the Picasso. Mine was much better than his so we sent it back. But it still mediocre. Their menu is a little limited so I created my own dish with crab cakes. I got 2 orders of crab cakes with Brussel sprouts. My fiancé ordered the Oven Roasted Sixty South Salmon with a side of mashed potatoes. We ordered from the A la cart menu which states the sides are shareable. However, they were not served in the separate serving dishes nor were they larger portions. The crab cakes were very meaty and taste good and the salmon was good as well, but the Brussel sprouts were not seasoned at all and were not good. I've been to other upscale restaurants but wanted to try something different while visiting Orlando but next time I will definitely stick with what I know. Everything was absolutely amazing, the onion soup is by far the best in town. Also the bread, with various varieties, as well as the pesto sauce that comes with the bread to die for. After that superb Yelp Elite event, I promised myself I'd save space for a return visit during Magical Dining, at least. It was the last day of MD, but we kept our promise. They were a-hopping busy that Sunday evening. Our table was near the back where the kitchen is: not ideal, but really not that bad. At least it was a booth, always more comfortable for my preference. We received wonderful service, and the food was delicious. FYI, you COULD bring your own wine for a $25 corkage. We brought a Champagne, which was properly handled and poured by our waitress: sadly, that service (the wait staff refilling your glass) is not something you always receive when we dine out even at fancy restos these days. We'd like to come back when they are less hectic for a truly leisurely evening. If you do, know that the free, no-hassle parking is available to the left of the hotel when you enter: it looks like it's controlled, but that arm at the gate is either always open, or opens when you approach. read more

One of the worst experiences with food I have had in a "high class" dining establishment. We ordered their "Magical Dining Experience", with my meal being a filet. Even adding two lobster tails for $70. After 50 minutes I finally got the "very rare" steak and it was well done. When the waitress came back we sent it back and waited another 30 minutes, at which time I received a medium-rare filet that tasted just like fish. The lobster tails were good, and a decent size. The restaurant itself was nice and clean, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Now, an hour and 20 minutes after ordering, we are still waiting on dessert at least. I have not eaten anything but the lobster tail, as the meal was inedible, I am still extremely hungry, and can't even get dessert brought out. Not to mention we never did get a drink. read more
