My car comes stock lower than most, it had damages on both corner sides of the bottom front bumper and the driver side skirt was loose. So happy with my experience with Eddie! Came in with my RAV4 to replace the bumper cover that I knicked pretty bad. I stopped in Monday for a quote. I tried to DIY a white pearl paint chip on my Tesla's bumper and failed spectacularly. I called around and was quoted eye-watering prices and a crazy long wait time (up to two weeks). I went to Eddie and was given the best cash price over the phone and in person. The process was pleasant, easy, and a little unnerving. I dropped my car off on Tuesday around 8 am, and it was ready on the same day by 5 pm (excellent). I was a little nervous because Eddie only asked for the keycard and told me to come for the car without any paperwork. He didn't even ask me for my phone number! Needless to say, I was a little nervous. Since I purchased this car less than a month ago, I will be extra picky here. If you look closely, there is a tinny chip and bubbles. But, honestly, most people likely will not notice it. Overall, I would recommend Eddie. If you are not super picky and looking to save some serious cash, Eddie is your man. Mostly had a good experience. The work was mostly done within the week as promised. Price covered most of the work. But details matter. The last trim piece needed apparently wasn't available soon enough. I paid anyway. 3 weeks later not a single follow up call about finding the missing piece. I had to do all the follow up calls to try and get this detail finished. I was told we may have to try a junkyard for the part, but zero follow up calls on that as well. So although the job was 99% done. This last detail has left me disappointed, so 3 stars. read more

I was attempting to find just the right place to paint my 1992 conversion van. One shop that was recommended only did insurance jobs, but they highly suggested Eddie. That was a big endorsement ("a pro's pro"). First thing - don't judge a book by its cover. Eddie's Auto Body is an established shop, so I liked the fact that they had a solid history. They also had great ratings,which I liked. When I first stopped by for an estimate, I noticed the crew working on both classic cars and late-model cars. Mine is somewhere in the middle. Eddie has a no-nonsense, straightforward personable approach and cut to the chase. I like that - never felt like there was any B.S. or attempt to sell me. He simply told me he would make it look amazing. His workers are also friendly, but very focused. You don't see any horseplay or attitude. They're skilled craftsmen. I liked that too. So here's the bottom line: they hit it out of the park with the paint and body work they did on my old van (it had a lot of dings, dents and quarter panel damage). They also Rhino coated the roof top which was really smart and looks great. I'm the original owner and frankly, it looks better now than it did brand new in 1992. My 2016 Toyota Tacoma's paint had begun to fail on the roof after only 6 years. I took it to the dealer who refused to cover it and wanted 2,300.00 just to repaint the roof to the plastic trim pieces and if I didn't want to do that they would be happy to sell me a new truck. He held my vehicle for a month while constantly lying and not providing professional quality service and my truck has thousands of dollars of damages more than when it went in. I dropped off my truck on Wed Dec. 12, 2018. His Agreement was to have the truck done on Thursday Dec. 20, 2018. He called asking me to pick up the truck, that "it was done" on Christmas eve Dec 24, 2018. I came late that afternoon. Even in the cool shadows of late afternoon I was able to see that the door was not completely painted, the fender did not match the door (he painted both), and that the shell of the truck had visible gloppy thick paint. I said that the truck was not complete nor correct. He agreed to repaint the fender, but tried to tell me that the shell had that texture when I came in, yet the paint on top was literally still sticky. I had washed the shell by hand for years, had photos to prove otherwise before the damages, after, and before the truck was taken in. EDDIE LIED DIRECTLY TO ME. I stopped the conversation and told him I'd need to talk to Mercury after Christmas on Dec. 26. 2018. I called Mercury, who sent out an appraiser and materials damages professional who pointed out all the obvious problems. Eddie continue to LIE TO MERCURY INSURANCE TOO! Yet after from pressure from 2 Mercury reps - the appraiser and the car rental services personnel, and my insistence, Eddie "promised" to correct all work... On Jan. 4, 2019 after Eddie's call saying "the truck is ready" I went in to investigate. EDDIE LIED AGAIN. It was not ready. This time the camper shell had strange cloud-like painterly marks likely from sanding, on both sides of the truck. I had him drive the truck into the sun, where he could see and acknowledge himself that the camper shell was not done. I said the truck had to dry or 6 days. I countered that I'd have to call Mercury to find out what they would advise. He immediately called his "paint matching person", then said it could be buffed out and said he'd try to have it the next day. I said, no rush, please let's get it done right. I asked him to call when it was done. He did not call Saturday Jan 5, 2019. I called him Mon. Jan 7 and he said that the truck was ready, that it was ready Saturday. He was being passive aggressive. AGAIN HE LIED. He did not call and the truck was not repainted or surfaced correctly. I went in on Mon. Jan 7, 2019, and this time there was obvious new thick paint drips running down the camper shell slathered in clear coat. See photos. Again the truck was not done. I called Eddie stating that the work wasn't complete. I called Mercury, and they called Eddie. He refused to work on the truck, said he would release it, then said he refused to release the truck, causing me additional rental vehicle charges and also refused to correct his mess. I called the Police at the advice of the California Bureau of Automotive Repairs who reminded me he is not legally permitted to withhold my property. I called Mercury who advised me to pay and file a suit for damages, and file with California Bureau of Automotive Repair. The next day I tried to pay via credit card and the worker said he only took cash. Eddie never discussed this up front. So they refused take my payment. I took possession of my own vehicle, as he said he was illegally keeping my property. Again more drama, because he had dumped it on the city street, not his own property. The next week he had his attorney send a letter of trumped up charges of $425 of fake vehicle garaging fees. The fact was that he parked my truck on the street - 3 different days - unlocked! I discovered this when I checked in on it and when he SHOULD have been garaging it. AGAIN, MORE LIES and no professionalism. I had to pay in Cashier's Checks. He was not organized, did not have warranty or contracts ready, had his worker write hand written agreement! I did this on the phone with his attorney's secretary who acted as a witness of the payment. She was apologetic to me, confirming that he was such a mess, and sorry that body shops behave this way!!! I've never seen such as unprofessionalism, story telling, gas lighting, narcissism, passive aggression, compulsive lying, deviousness, toxic masculinity, and constant man-child behavior. He consistently exhibits atrocious lack of conscience, constant immaturity, and compulsive dishonesty. At this point the paint doesn't match the hood and tailgate, the paint has glops, drips, lint and debris stuck in the surface and the seat belt feels like it's been jerked and doesn't function correctly. Thousands of additional dollars of his damages. I have to file with California Bureau of Automotive Repair and a suit. read more
