Alan and his crew are the best. My girlfriend's car was rear-ended a couple months ago and we were looking for body shops that had Saturday business hours available. Because the car is 20+ years old, the insurance company considered it totaled, but my girlfriend loves it so much that she wanted to keep it, and because of the totaled status, our usual go-to shop in Pasadena refused to work on it since they couldn't collect the storage fees for it, wow how greedy. So we searched around and found AK Auto Body. Alan was able to fix the rear-end damage for a very reasonable price; we got quoted close to $1000 less than other more "mainstream" shops. The repair was done professionally and Alan even re-painted the rear spare tire cover for us. After taking the newly-fixed car to the car wash, however, we noticed that there was a leak in the cargo area, but we took the car back to Alan and after performing numerous water spray tests, his crew was able to locate the culprit of the leak and fixed the affected area for free. I simply cannot recommend AK Auto Body shop enough. Would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Alan and his staff are the best! At the gas station late at night, I cut the corner on the concrete curb while pulling up to the pump. My lower rocker panel was totally pushed inward, the metal even look stretched. Went to 3 shops, all quoted me $1000-$1400, and Alan took care of it for $800. Each shop planned to implement the same type of process to repair the lower rocker panel. He told me it would be 4 days, and finished in 2 days instead. He even went above and beyond by washing it spotlessly, and shinned up the tires too! This was a nice surprise especially considering the car was filthy when I dropped it off. Allen, Thank you for matching and fixing my scion frs hood and even touching up scrapes at the bottom. The car I drive is a 2015 scion frs halo white or better know, three stage white(nearly hard to match). Color matched perfectly, scion colors are unique and I've been refused of service from autobodies who couldn't or wouldn't guarantee match. Allen's team doesn't put just the paint code and paint. They do it professionally and competent like if it were their own cars. I had a object throw on a freeway and it left three dents and a scrape under my car. I read Ak auto body reviews and didn't feel like it was detailed. So I called and talked to Allen. I came to his shop. he beat every one's price if they were to accept the job, but his competence in restoring my car to factory condition is what assured me that I was in good hands. It is my first car that I had and paid for myself. I even paid out of my own pocket for repairs. I was stressed before dropping my car because of my doubts of any auto body being able to fix and match the paint. I'm sorry Allen you over exceeded my expectation and your workers knew too. I bought my 2008 Honda Civic in late 2011 with previous owner's dents and scruff all over the car. The one that bugs me most is a dent on the driver side of the door right around the handle. The last owner told me he hit a pole, but I suspect someone tried to break in but failed. I drove on for 3 years without fixing it but the paint started chipping and started rusting. I have gone to get some estimates from various body shops for the past two years but their quotes are so high that I think I'll be better off buying a new car. They told me they need to fix the dent, sand it, paint it but the paint is hard to match so they will need to reprint my whole body panel blah blah blah. So I gave up for a while. My car is at 67000 miles and still in very good shape mechanically. I decided to give it a little cosmetic touch up so it can look decent on the outside as well. I pulled into AK and Allen greeted me right away. He took a look at it and gave me a quote right away which is far below what the other body shops gave me. And he doesn't have a problem working on only the affected area instead of touching the rest of the panel in order to make them match. I dropped my car off Friday night and they called me back Tuesday morning to tell me it's finished! The dent is fully repaired and looks like new!
