Turned on the A/C didnt work, gas gauge didnt work, and to seal the deal on everything car was leaking coolant. The guy sold my boyfriend a car that has engine knock. 2008 GT California Special Mustang that broke down in 4 days while he was driving on the freeway. Totally set up. The car had a leak when he bought and the guy who sold it said they would have to "check it out" before it was able to be taken home. Couple days later they said it was fine and he could take it home and it was his. The person who owned this car before messed the car up beyond belief and now my boyfriend needs to forge the engine. I purchased a 2011 Mercedes CL550 Coupe in the summer of 2018 the photos were very NICE and Eddie auto had a great price for this type of car only $22,000k, used retail for 2011-2014 CL550 Coupes were 30K and up with under 100K miles so I had to see the car, when we got there the sales man was very nice gave me the key and let my wife and I take the car on a test drive, the car drove amazing the fuel was about at 1/4 of a tank, the car was white so it was hard to notice light defects because the rear bumper had a smudge on the left corner as I continued to inspect the car the left tail light did not work but the dealer Eddie repaired it the light worked but lite up a little different than the right side. So I decided to purchase the car, it took about 10 days to get a check from my lending institution, after getting the funds I went back to pick up the car I wanted to check it out one last time to make sure everything was ok BUT the dealer told me the Owner had the key and was on his way so he wanted to complete all the paper work and sign a as-is form, I should have waited for the owner to bring the key so I could check the car before signing but I trusted them bad choice never trust a used car dealer. After buying the car and driving off I checked the fuel gauge and it read empty so I went to the gas station filled it up costed only $60, when I checked the Gas gauge it still read empty the gauge did not work, now I Know why they hid the the Key before I signed, also remember the left tail light I removed it to see why it lite up a little different than the right side there mechanic Micky Moused it to work instead of replacing it with a new or used one. Keep in mind this car is only 7 years old and when winter time came I turned on the heater and it also didn't work I did not check that because it was summer when I purchased the car" ARE YOU KIDDING ME" a Mercedes CL550 no heater no fuel gauge working, it worked when I test drove the car I think they swapped something out of my car before I bought it. I never took the car back because I signed the as-is form so I didn't even waste my time. Everything else is fine I love the car drives like new no thanks to Eddie auto sales Mercedes benz is just a strong and reliable car but what can you do if a used car dealer plays pick a part with the car your buying. I just went today to look at a Lexus convertible. The car seemed decent, minus minor scratches & lack of detailing/cleaning. The inside was a little dirty, so I would have had to detail it myself. However, I could not get this car since they do not take trade-ins if you still owe a balance (according to what the salesman told me). So unless your car is totally paid off, they won't do a trade. Was in the market for another vehicle. I really liked the Lexus LS430 body style and their general reliability. I saw one at this dealers website, so I decided to contact them. Had all the bells and whistles that I wanted in this particular vehicle. The salesman stated that the vehicle was in perfect condition, and everything mechanical and electrical worked. Aside from a few scratches here and there, and a couple small dings, everything seemed like it worked(granted that I didn't get it looked at by my mechanic. Problem #1). The dealer seemed nice and trustworthy(problem #2). So, I put my trust in him and bought the vehicle. I had them switch out the wheels, since the old ones were in very bad shape. They were very quick to agree with me on it, which kind of made me hesitant on buying the vehicle. Once again, before I brought the money over to buy the vehicle, I asked again about the overall condition to make sure that I was not going to have to put a lot of money into it. They stated again that the vehicle was in perfect condition MECHANICALLY AND ELECTRONICALLY). I bought it, and took it all the way back to Newport Beach. On my way back, the airbag light came on, and the controls on the steering wheel stopped working. I thought it was maybe the terminal ends, so I took it to my mechanic. When he sent me the estimate on all repairs, I almost had a heart attack. Over $11k in repairs!!!! These guys are crooks and liars!!! Do not put your trust in these guys! They will only tell you what they want you to hear in order to make a sale. You have been warned. Please, go somewhere else to shop for a vehicle, because if you don't, you'll end up like me, having to scrape the his one already.
