I purchased my first salvage vehicle from tony a month ago. Very happy with it! I test drove many Honda Elements here in sacramento Not finding anything with the asking price. Found an element at LPAS so decided to fly down to Burbank where tony picked me up at the airport in the Element so I could drive it to the lot. He showed me the pictures of the damage to the rear bumper area which was minor and did not deploy any airbags. I was able to get under the car and see for myself if there was any frame/structural damage. None. Seems like all the cars tony showed me had minor damage before being repaired by his own mechanics/techs. I was worried about paperwork/ dmv but knew tony has been dealing with salvage for many years. He had paperwork done in 20 minutes. He showed me where the local dmv office was because I wanted to get title and registration done there incase there was any problems I could have tony help me. Everything went smoothly at the dmv! We got such a good deal, and saw others just like it, that we purchased a 2013 model with 30k miles also for my wife. These guys are professional. First off, all their cars here are salvaged. However, we were very satisfied with our purchase. We worked with Fernando. We new when we purchased it that our car needed a new alternator. While we drove it home, Fernando came out and picked up the car later in the week, had the alternator replaced, and returned it the same day, all at no additional cost. The cars sold here are ALL salvage title and the seller makes it very clear. He pretty much takes totaled cars that apparently only have body damage and fixes the body so it LOOKS good as new. I bought a car here in August. He (Tony) told me that it only had body damage and that the frame was untouched. He also said that if ever something went wrong that was due to the accident, he'd fix at no cost and maybe just charge for parts. I asked him if this "warranty" covered the lifetime of the vehicle, he said yes. Not long after purchasing the car (2 months later ) I started to hear a knocking sound coming from where the car was previously damaged to the front, left. I told myself I'd take it back to the dealer to take a look at it when I was in the Van Nuys area. Not long after the knocking began, my car was due for a service. I took it to Toyota. They said that a lot of the parts- specifically the shock/strut were the wrong ones and that the damage from the accident was still there. In fact, they even found bent parts that should have been replaced. I told them to write up a report for me to take to my dealer. I called the dealer, he told me to bring it in so that he could see what was wrong with it. I took it in, handed him the report from Toyota, he didn't even look at it and called Toyota "liars" and added that I should never go to them for anything. He test drove my car to see what the knocking was and immediately said "It's your shock, you must have went over a bump and it broke" I said no Toyota said it was the wrong part to begin with. He again stated that they were lying and insisted that this damage had nothing to do with the accident. He said he could "help me out" and he'd give me a good deal to get it fixed. He said he'd charge me $100 for a USED shock and charge $50 for labor. I argued that I shouldn't have to pay for labor since they were the ones who put in the wrong part and that was the agreement when I bought the car. He said the warranty only applied to "about 1 or 2 months after buying the car." So all of a sudden this lifetime warranty that he verbally promised while I was purchasing the car became "1 or 2 months." After arguing back and forth, he became frustrated and said "if you want me to fix it it'll be $150" and walked away. I said I'd rather pay someone else to do it and proceeded to drive off. As I was driving off the lot, I noticed a guy that looked like he was interested in buying a car. I warned him not to buy a car and that Tony will say anything to sell him a car. Tony heard me and impolitely (profanities included) stated that I was no longer welcome on his lot. On my way home, I decided to call my local Auto Zone for a price check on a shock for my car. The price for a BRAND NEW shock ended up being $93... that's even cheaper than the USED part that Tony tried to sell me. Hope this review serves as a warning- whether you're considering buying a car from this scammer or whether you got suckered in and are about to pay him for something that he should have taken care of before selling you the car. Don't trust him. Go elsewhere and spend more money to buy a car or you'll just end up buying a problem. read more

You have to make a leap of faith when you buy a car with a salvage title but my experience with Tony and Low Price Auto Sales was excellent. I found the car when I was searching for Honda CR-Vs on Auto-Trader. The car stood out because it was in such nice condition with low mileage and a great price. I spoke to Tony on the phone and he explained that this car had a salvage title. Tony owns an auto body shop, he goes to auctions, buys cars with minimal damage, fixes them up and sells them. With 30 years in the business, Tony has an eye for a good deal. I met Tony at the lot and took the car for a test drive. Everything seemed ok. At this point I would have liked to have had the owner of the auto mechanic shop next door take a look but it was Saturday and the shop was closed. Tony said that if it turned out that anything was not right, I could bring it back and I would only have to pay for the parts, all of the labor would be free. I have driven Honda's for 20 years and I felt comfortable with this one so I made the leap of faith and bought the car. I drove the car home and I had my local mechanic inspect it and the report came back clean. I got a 2011 Honda CR-V with 37k miles that was fully loaded (even navigation) for 40% off Blue Book value. I will definitely recommend to my friends and the next time I need a car, I will be sure to talk to Tony first. read more
