    Chicken Tortilla soup.
    Barbara R.

Eddie's is a very small cafe with a limited menu. I stopped in for a quick lunch. A sign on the front window said they had chicken tortilla soup so that's what I ordered. It was full of finely shredded chicken, crispy tortilla strips, some avocado slices and a spoonful of sour cream. Exactly what I was in the mood for. Very happy with the food and the service. I'd go back.

Excellent burrito. Salsa was good (and hot). Guacamole was fresh and good. The staff was courteous and prompt. Food came made to order and was delicious.

Burrito was flat and not very full. Chips were not great and salsa was strange. The woman who worked there was nice.

Really can't go wrong here. Service is fast, staff is friendly, and the food is some of the best in town.

Really liked the waitress, but the food was a bit expensive for what you get. Had the chicken mole.

I started with one of their house margaritas--great flavor, a solid punch, and just enough tequila to spark a pleasant buzz. For my main dish, I went with the steak taquitos... or maybe they were flautas. I usually prefer corn tortillas for taquitos, but these were still quite good. The steak was well-seasoned, and the garnishes and salsa rounded out the plate nicely. My friend ordered the sizzling trio of fajitas and asked for the veggies extra charred. Honestly, I don't blame her. The aroma of blistered peppers and onions filled the air in the best way. Service was also good but can use a little less checking in. We enjoyed the food, but even more, we enjoyed the atmosphere and each other's company.

I was expecting something else just to enjoy at home but obviously that didn't happen. I don't recommend at this point at all!

But, hey, they have a salsa bar that doesn't look like it's cleaned out very often, so that's probably why the food was expensive. One salsa, the red salsa, was horrible. I think someone dropped some Fabuloso in it or something. The rest of the salsas were watery and terrible. They did give us chips (a little stale) to wait for the food. We waited about 20 minutes for the food to get to us, and there were only 2 people other than us in the restaurant. The torta was terrible. It had absolutely no flavor. And I'm hazarding a guess that the meat was previously prepared, then microwaved. The burrito was less better, with the red sauce tasting like someone had run out of red sauce, then added a bunch of water to make more red sauce, then drenched the burrito in it. No flavor. The coke and the jarrito were good. As an extra, my son got sick from the burrito later. So there's that. No, not coming back.

I paid as much to have a Mexican dinner here as I do for a steak dinner at a local steakhouse! That's insane!!! I pay twice as much at El Azteca as I do at Taqueria Jalos and Jalos is much better! Save yourself some grief (and money). Go to Jalos instead! I would give them 4 stars if they would cut their prices in half and if their food was more often consistently good.

It's got a bit of an old world atmosphere, which I liked. We were greeted upon walking in and seated right away. I saw an outdoor patio with about 3-4 tables occupied and there were 3 indoors besides us. Our server realized it was our first time in and was patient with our questions. She also strolled by another order to show us the different size burrito's. We went with the pizza and the non wet grande burrito. My margarita was slamming with a tajin rim and my husband really liked the tea. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our found to arrive which was piping hot. First but of the pizza and I was shocked. It was absolutely mouth watering delish. It's kinda layered with the topping, so you don't miss a thing. The burrito was pretty yummy as well but I had to add pico and salsa to it for more of a kick. The quality of the food was very good. All in all it was a fantastic first experience. We will put it on our rotation when we come into town for sure. Good eats y'all.
