Maybe our timing was off, we went during the film festival, but the service was awful, and the food was bad. We ordered caprese avocado appetizer. We waited 40 minutes, the waiter apologized and told us he would give us a discount, ten minutes later we finally got it. It was more like pizza than caprese and not an avocado to be seen. We frequently eat here before or after a movie at the Enzian. The food is good -- try the Eden burger. They change up the menu now and then. Service is very friendly and efficient. They staff keep their cool, even when the bar is packed. The ambiance is more like a club than a regular restaurant. Lots of regulars, most of them movie buffs. NOTE: It's open-air, so in hot weather dress accordingly. Flipflops, T-shirts, shorts are fine. It's nice and shady, and large pedestal fans do an acceptable job of cooling the space. read more

Wow! This place is incredible. I ordered a bowl of the chicken tortilla soup and the flavors were wonderful. I also ordered their homemade hamburger, which is made with lettuce, tomato and a special pepper mayonnaise. Truly delicious. The staff was friendly. Eden Bar is adjacent to the Enzian Theatre, and a cool little outside bar and a perfect place to grab a bite and a few drinks before or after seeing a movie there. The menu is pretty much the same that you'll find in the theatre, and the wine and beer list has a wide selection of both. I like all the huge trees that surround the bar and tables. We have killed time prior to a movie and in between double-flicks, by eating or drinking here. The location is great, feet away from the Enzian. The food is very good and they emphasize local, high-quality ingredients. The menu is very similiar to what is available inside the Enzian. There are a few additions and they offer specials. My husband likes the Eden burger. He says it is one of the best ones he has ever eaten. My daughter enjoyed the portabello sandwich, but was disappointed in the amount of mac n' cheese, as her side. I thought the all-white meat turkey burger had a great flavor to it, and it wasn't dry. The fried were delicious too. I do wish they would try a sauce for them, though, instead of serving with just ketchup. Try the truffle fries @ the Enzian. read more

The atmosphere is great but my two drinks were extremely disappointing (the aviation cocktail and the apple sangria). I also ordered the small apple salad. The only thing I liked about it was the size and the pecans. My boyfriend ordered the chicken sandwich. He said it was dry but loved the macaroni and cheese. Oh yes, Eden bar, you are so beautiful. This bar is attached to the Enzian with the loveliest outdoor setting. The lighting of the huge oak trees at night is stunning. I feel like this bar showcases classic Florida, especially with the tropical murals on the wall behind the bar- it even features a manatee riding a jet ski! The only drawback I can think of is that the beer list is rather small with only a few beers on draft, but the selection is usually pretty good. This is our go to casual hangout and has been for years. Great outdoor bar layout surrounded by great mature landscaping, and with all the shade/fans it's the only outdoor spot that never seems too hot, even in summer. It's great for everything from a low-key friday night, to a weeknight, to a Sunday afternoon nursing a hangover. The drinks are good and the beer selection is good enough. The food is good if your expectations are set for bar or comfort food, this isn't a 4-star restaurant and doesn't pretend to be. The burger is very good, other favorites are the grilled cheese, the Cuban sandwich, the nachos, and the fried chicken salad. One note - the service is good as long as you sit at the bar. At the tables around the bar, the service has never been very good. There are sometimes people smoking at the bar, which annoys me but I can't really hold that against the place since it is outdoors. read more

Great Setting for happy hour, nestled in a garden off of 1792, near Lake Ave! Unfortunately, the food sucks. i.e. truffle fries so heavy on the oil that the side was practically inedible. Eden Bar is attached to the Enzian movie theatre, the only place I've discovered in the area for foreign/indie flicks. So it's convenient if you're seeing a movie. Enzian also offers free movies in the park, which I checked out once. The theatre staffer who welcomed the crowd used the f bomb in every sentence, and the mosquitoes have kept me away since. read more

I've accomplished some of my best work at the Eden Bar just outside the Enzian Theater, which is Orlando's premiere independent cinema (they generously gave me this picture). Afternoons, I've sat underneath the majestic oaks or at the bar with my notebook, drafting new fiction, and have edited my last three book manuscripts there. I'm not sure if it's the lush, idyllic surroundings or the staff, many of whom are artists themselves-likely some combination of the two. But I held the launch for my first book on Eden's patio, and a year later struck the film rights' deal with an indie producer and my editor in the same spot. So for me, Eden Bar lives up to its name - an oasis of creativity that keeps bearing fruit. read more

Eden Bar has a great outdoor atmosphere. While best when it's nice out, they do a good job with heaters when it's cold, and fans and mist in the burning clutches of Orlando summer. Their drink menu is always changing with creative concoctions made from quality ingredients. A few are a little simple though for the price. Most of the crafted cocktails will run 10 to 13 dollars which can be a bit much for Maitland however they are consistently the best cocktails north of Winter Park. Food is worth a shot. The chicken fingers and the fries are the most recommended (yes they are good) I like the flat breads myself, mostly it's above par bar food. I would typically call this venue a solid 4 stars but I'm dropping one for the endless parade of smoking at the bar. I understand it's outside and I like a good cigar, but when everyone has lit up while you are trying to drink your 13 dollar cocktail it just does not work. Would be much better with a designated smoking area. read more

I've found myself coming here a lot lately, since it's essentially inside the Enzian Theater, and I've yet to be disappointed. Their bartenders are always friendly and personable, even during the Wednesday Night Pitcher Show crush, and the drinks are always well made. I've ordered meals twice - a chicken finger and fries basket, and a pepperoni pizza - and both times they were absolutely delicious, and piping hot (almost too hot - the chicken fingers were so fresh that I had to give them more than a few minutes for them too cool down to the point where I could actually eat them, and the fried skin slid right off them, but no complaints here)! Even if you're not interested in seeing a movie, I heartily recommend you come to Eden Bar to enjoy it as a separate entity; you won't be disappointed. read more

Ambience: was nice. All outside seating, kind of eclectic. Music: Terrible 80's pop classics (and yes, I was in Jr high in the 80's, but listened to better music then). Food and Service: The server was really nice, but communication with kitchen was NOT. We ordered shrimp and grits, she took the order and 15 minutes later came back saying that the kitchen just advised "they were out of grits." We proceeded to order a stake, but they were out of stake, too??? Wow! I have never heard a restaurant running out of stake at 7PM! My wife is allergic to gluten and lactose intolerant, so she asked the server for suggestions. The server suggested the carnitas tacos, for they were supposed to be served with corn tortillas. So, my wife requested that dish. As tacos came, first thing I noticed was the flour tortillas and some type of yello cheese in carnitas tacos??? Sorry, but carnitas (pulled pork Mexican style) are NOT meant to be eaten with cheese (yes, I know because I am originally from Mexico City. Anyway, they were a complete fiasco, specially because the server said they would be served with corn tortillas and they were NOT, plus they had cheese and my wife clarified earlier she was lactose intolerant. Bottom line, the server was really nice and did her best, but communication with kitchen was not good. She ended up giving us a couple of tickets for a movie because of their mess ups. We tipped her good. I ordered a Margherita pizza. It was NOT good. Bad pizza dough, crummy and heavy, even though it was not too thick. The cheese was cheap and tasteless and the sauce was out of a jar. Drinks: I had 2 draught beers. Mixed cocktails are in the $10 range, but I did not try any. I wonder how they are... I will go back there but ONLY for drinks for sure! read more

I really love this bar - easily one of the best outdoor bars in the Orlando area. The best part about it is the unique ambiance, especially at night. It is right in the middle of a little garden-like area that has really nice lighting at night; it reminds me of the Historic District in St. Augustine during the Night of Lights months. Despite being right off 17-92 it feels like it is isolated miles away from the bustle of an urban or even suburban area. There are a number of tables, a little area with a few couches, and your typical bar seating, so plenty of options as to what kind of experience you'd like to have. Plenty of parking so you won't have a problem with that either. The cocktail menu is towards the higher end and classier side, reminiscent of what you'd get at places like Hanson's Shoe Repair or Courtesy in downtown Orlando. While the cocktails can be somewhat expensive (think $8-12 a drink or so), they are as well made as anything you'd find at a higher end bar around here. There are also options for wine, beer, and liquor but I didn't have any of those; I'll update this once I do (same goes for the food). Bottom line so far - great place to grab a few drinks and enjoy an outdoor bar atmosphere that is rare to this area. We need more of these around! read more

I came here with a group of friends after seeing on their website "happy hour all day" we thought it would be great to go for lunch and sit outside since it was so nice out. Once we got there we found out there was NOT happy hour all day, and in fact the only special was $1 off beer. Apparently the lunch happy hour specials are only during the week..it did NOT specify that on the website. I in fact pulled up the website from my phone to show them and not only did they seem like they could care less but did nothing about it. Poor customer service! We then ordered mimosas and they were out of champagne. Nothing was compensated for any of this nor did they really seem to care. The food was good but the service was not and our food (which was only sandwiches) took an abnormal time to come out and there were only 2 other tables there at the time.They should change their website since they are posting false advertising. Since the internet and social media are how many people get their information these days maybe they should get on top of things and update it...will not be returning. read more
