Okay, so it takes all types. But I don't really understand the enthusiasm for this place. I have eaten here on several occasions, the food is just consistently mediocre. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I have a long track record of enjoying mediocre diner food all over the country, but the service here is particularly uneven and they're charging a premium for the food. Today's visit included a cheeseburger, french fries, and fettuccine alfredo all of which were uninspired. I can't decide if service was simply inattentive or intentionally stingy with drink refills. And we ordered desert, the buttermilk pie was average but I say that with love, the brownie was a large block of subpar cake covered in copious amounts of chocolate. I wasn't personally impressed with the brownie, but if you like large volumes of chocolate cake I can't say I don't recommend it. There's literally nothing terrible about the Eden Cafe, if I had to find something nice to say about it it would be that the menu is widely varied and that might work well for groups that can't agree on a single narrower cuisine. read more

Best Cuban sandwich I have had in a long, long time. Their ropa vieja is just like my grandmother's, and the fettuccini is to die for. Everything is made fresh at the rest and one can tell. 1. Service - I applaud our waiter / bar tender for his great service! Waiter was friendly, very attentive, and very accommodating. I can't recall his name, but they need to multiply his ways of service. 2. Price - $10-$15 a person. Very affordable. 3. Ambiance - This is a gastropub (bar and restaurant), and the decor is made of dark wooden walls, and hardwood floors. I would say this is a great place to hang with your bros (bar), and an excellent place to bring a date (regular tables). Dress code here is smart casual. 4. Food - I had the Chicken Picatta and the wife had the Chicken Marsala. If you like a lemony flavor, go for the Chicken Picatta. I've really enjoyed it. The wife and our friends seem to really enjoy the Chicken Marsala. 5. Cleanliness - Clean dining area and restrooms. That's the most you can ask for. I've always enjoyed my experiences at this restaurant,specifically, referring to their food and services that is. I would recommend people to eat here, however, I don't crave this place. I finally got around to giving this place another opportunity. I went there for lunch with my youngest. Well i ordered lunch, it was right in between. I had the cuban sandwich. Honestly it was pretty dam good. I lived on cuban sandwiches when I lived in Miami. Nice ham, pork, flattened almost as it should be. The only thing i did not not care for was that the roll was basted in garlic butter (oil?) before it was pressed. I have been here a few times, each time was good service and good food. The portion was big enough for me to eat 1.5ish meals, so i had a full meal, got super duper full, then had the left over boxed and then i ate during the car ride home lol. So ya, the food never made it home to my apartment, my cats could smell that I was a chubby butt. I have had the spinach/bacon omelet, chicken Marsala, Eden skillets, coffee, some soup, they were all good. They had home made chicken noodle soup for today and I got a combination menu which includes two of soup/ salad / sandwich. Food took not to long to come out. Waiters and waitresses were really nice and friendly. Unfortunately they only serves breakfast or brunch menu on saturday, but they have all kinds of menu to meet your taste. They serve authentic home style food. it was only my first time, Foods were amazing and my favorite was their soup of the day. 1. Combo menu: 5/5 i think it was a good menu to choose for any lunch time, if you are craving for little bit of everything. Chicken noodle soup definitely hit the spot for me. They greet you with warm welcome, and I think few waitresses started noticing me ever since I started coming here so often. This is a good place to go for a nice home cook meal. 1. My all time favorite is fettuccine alfredo 4/5. Sauce is not too thick or not too runny. Noodles are cooked perfectly, gives you good texture. IT only comes with sauce and meat choices, and I had to order spinach to be cooked with my pasta. They charged me $3 for a single choice of vege that goes in pasta. 2. Classic cheese burger: 4/5. Unlike commercial burgers, they put minimum amount of salt and pepper when making the patty. I really like that about this burger, that you can control the saltiness of your food. Bun was little bit too dry for me , but over all a delicious plate 3. soup of the day "gumbo": Be aware their bowl size is 16 oz. It is a large bowl for you and your group to share!! Definitely love every soup choices they have. I once also had their chicken noodle soup and it was amazing. definitely home style . 4. Cesar salad: 4/5. They have their own special cesar sauce.
