This review is long overdue. I've been meaning to write it for quite some time, but life gets busy and I kept putting it off. After the level of service I've received from Edgar and his team, though, I felt like they deserved the recognition. I've now had two experiences with this company, and both have been outstanding. The first time, my AC wasn't performing the way it should after another HVAC technician had replaced my blower motor. The system was running, but it just wasn't moving enough air throughout my two-story home. Something still didn't seem right. That's when I called Edgar. He came out, took a look, and within minutes identified the issue. He told me, "It's your motor. It's not blowing strong enough." He explained that he could tell right away because the airflow wasn't what it should be, especially for a two-story house. He said I should really be able to hear and feel the air moving much stronger than it was. What really impressed me was his honesty and professionalism. After diagnosing the problem, I asked him what I owed him for coming out. To my surprise, he told me not to worry about it and didn't charge me anything. I ended up contacting the previous HVAC technician, explaining what Edgar had found, and requested a refund for the motor. I then purchased the same motor that originally came with my system and installed it myself. Sure enough, the moment I installed it, the airflow improved immediately and the system started performing the way it should. Edgar was absolutely right. The second time I reached out, I was having an issue with my AC condensate pump and drain line. I wasn't able to get an immediate appointment because they were booked up, but the technician I spoke with was still incredibly helpful over the phone. He took the time to answer my questions and point me in the right direction. Following his advice, I disconnected the hoses and used my shop vac to clear out the drain line. It turned out the problem wasn't even the condensate pump at all. Once I cleared the line, everything started working properly again, saving me from replacing a part that didn't need to be replaced. Both experiences showed me that this company genuinely cares about helping people, not just selling repairs. Everyone I've dealt with has been professional, knowledgeable, honest, and willing to go the extra mile. As someone who works in the trades myself, I really appreciate companies that operate with integrity. Last week, the cold air stopped blowing, although the fan was still working. It was 103° today and supposed to be 110° tomorrow. I just couldn't deal anymore. I called the number at 12:38pm and Hector arrived at my home by 4:01pm. Hector was polite and very professional. The company charges $95.00 service fee, and if a repair needs to be done, that goes toward the repair. Hector figured out what the problem was in a short amount of time. They had to order the part and I thought we would have no heat for at least a week. the next day Edgar's called me and had the part and my heater is fixed now within 24 hours. Called Edgar's for my elderly mother who was having trouble controlling the heat in her house. Edgar and his son arrived within a couple of hours to check out the heater and vents, then concentrated on the thermostat. As it turned out, the thermostat was working fine, but my mother had not understood the correct way to set it for the desired temperature. They stayed quite a while in a temperature that was uncomfortably hot for them to make sure the heater maintained the set point as it should. Then he waived the service charge since he had installed a new air conditioning unit and the new thermostat within a warrantable time, but not a new heater out of courtesy and kindness. I needed an a/c unit in a rental house to be serviced because my tena said it wasn't getting as cold as before. After reading Yelp reviews and getting a couple of quotes, I contacted Edger. He said that it could be there in 30 minutes to take a look. After doing his inspection of the a/c unit, he said it was functioning properly and gave me a price quote for a new unit if i wanted to replace the other one. Well our A/C went out on Friday night the hottest day of the week!!! Saturday morning I called my usual place but they were booked due to everyone's A/C going out !!! The second place I called was Edgar's since I have read all the positive reviews. He was able to come out within a few hours. Once he was here he got to work and was able to fix the problem in less than an hour. He also took the time to explain to me how the vents work and when to clean them. On Friday, Friday evening my AC decided to take a dump! It stopped functioning and started to not blow cold air! I called Edgar at eight in the morning the next day Saturday! They were able to get me in extremely quickly and said they would be there between 10 to 2! I got a call from Hector saying he would arrive at 15 minutes at 9:30, could not believe it!! Hector was extremely polite and very knowledgeable and found that my capacitor died. He replaced it and cleaned the whole unit in a matter of 20 minutes! We called at 7:00 a.m., a technician came to our home at 7:30 a.m. and after he gave us a bid, we signed the contract. The entire replacement of our heating and a/c system was completed by 2:00 p.m. that afternoon. A total of 5 men worked on the job, and did an outstanding job. We called Edgar's first because their ad stated they were open at 7:00 a.m. Our a/c system had failed in extreme heat the evening before, and we are very grateful we called them first. Their bid was $2,000 under the only other bid we had gotten so far. Service, quality and immediate response are all praises we have for this team of experts. I found this company from a local internet search. We Called them because our AC wasn't working. I was frustrated when I called because not only was I able to get the company that installed the unit but everyone I called couldn't get for a week minimum. Mind you the daily average temp where we live hovers around 100 degrees. I actually talked to Edgar, advised him of the situation and was told he could have some one here within 2 hrs. Of course I agreed. In less than 2 hrs two young men in a company truck showed up. I learned they were actually nephews of Edgar. Both were Professional and very personable. Its was obvious to me these young men are being raised right! It took them about 1 hr to make their assessment. Unfortunately we learned a 1 year old unit needed a new coil and had a " cracked" pan. We agreed to the repair and made the required $500 deposit. They returned the next day as promised and the repair took about 3 1/2 hours. We now have cool air. I would highly recommend this company.
