Ordered a cinnamon roll. It was cold and dried out. I have watched Edgar's go down for years. I was hoping they could get at least this right. I ordered the girl that didn't make eye contact. Didn't ask me if I wanted it warm, etc. when I paid for it, I declined to give a tip and got the evil eye from her. I think that's hilarious. She doesn't do anything but scoop it out of a sheet pan and put it on my plate. The funny part was she seemed to feel entitled as she rolled her eyes. I will not be coming back and buyer beware.. I love the vibe at Edgar's and it always smells nice and sweet. They staff is friendly at this location. Greets with smiles. The T Bird was a good sandwich through I wasn't to fond of the bread. It was super soft and crumbled so the sandwich didn't stay together. The pasta salad was okay. Not my favorite but edible. I ordered a cake from Edgar's in Madison for my daughter's Birthday. I wanted something that looked classic. I checked all of the cake options online at their website. I selected the "Sophia" cake and then called to place my order. The Edgar's staff was very friendly and helpful. I wanted lemon buttercream between the layers and a Happy Birthday inscription on top of the cake. The cake was ready on the day and time promised and it turned out beautiful! Everyone raved about how delicious the cake tasted. The cake and icing were both very light and not heavy at all. The lemon buttercream between the layers was perfect. I highly recommend Edgar's and very highly recommend the "Sophia" cake. read more

I ordered a cookie cake for my husband's birthday. I picked it up just now (2PM on a Saturday) along with ordering lunch to go. Not one staff member (at least 7-8 people) seemed eager to help. Not one smile. I ordered 2 Caesar salad/soup combos and she only rang up one. We got that straightened out and I chose to ignore her when she told me I "only ordered one." I said two but she had trouble figuring out how to ring up a soup/salad combo and needed assistance from a colleague. We waited a while for our order to be packaged up. No other customers in sight. We got home and ended up with a side salad, not Caesar salads. The menu looks amazing, the store beautiful but I don't eat out much and want a pleasant experience when I do, so I most likely won't be back to this location. We're new to the area and I hope the other locations aren't like this one at Town Madison. I'm not impressed with the employees nor the manager who helped box up the cookie cake (which I hope is good.) The gal that helped us with the cookie cake might've been the only pleasant person in the establishment. I don't think I'd leave important occasions up to this location to fulfill. The attitude, professionalism and quality don't seem to be here, sadly. read more

I went to Edgar's today to get some cupcakes for my dads 90th birthday. The girl at the counter waited on two people and then asked me wait while she helped with the food line. She never came back. The croissants were heavy-maybe not cooked long enough. Service was fine-associate got confused on when we wanted to give loose change to get bills only back. She said it would mess up register. Guess they don't teach making change at schools! read more

I regularly visit Edgar's for their pastries and baked goods. I usually go to the Huntsville Edgar's on Airport Rd, but seeing this one opened and it's closer to my home, I decided to try this one out. I was disappointed by the baked goods selection. They were too busy making cinnamon and orange rolls and didn't have many sweet pastry options. I got the orange roll instead. It isn't as good as my usual Edgar's. Despite it being fresh made, the roll was very dry and had very little filling. The service here is mediocre and nothing to write home about. The environment is new and clean, but is cold and doesn't hold as much seats as other Edgar's I've been to. Overall, despite its close proximity, I think I'll stick to my usual Edgar's which has better food and a nicer atmosphere. read more

It saddens me to write a negative review about the bakery that I love. My last two visits have been a bad experience. Employees do not know how to box up/package a taller cake. The first time I had already driven home an hour before realizing my cake was smashed on top. Customer service offered to replace it but I would have had to drive another hour there and back to return the damaged cake so instead they sent me a $10 gift card. Yesterday I walked into a very unkempt establishment; nasty floors, full trash cans, a large area of the floor with standing water and the employees standing around talking and no other customers inside. I purchased a cake with my $10 gift card plus another $35 and stopped the employer before she closed the box and smashed another cake. She figured out she could leave the box half open to protect the cake, taped it then slid the box towards me. I had to ask her if she could get some plastic wrap to cover the exposed cake, she kindly said yes and went to the back and returned with plastic wrap. We got the box covered and taped up and I made it home with the cake intact. My complaint isn't with the employee. She was kind but I don't think she had been properly trained. This location has a management problem. Edgar's, your business has been successful because people love your pastries, food, etc but I can't imagine people will continue to pay your prices for subpar services. 3.6 stars is not a place where I want to do business. read more

I did love this place, but lately it's been a hit or miss for the bakery items. Cupcakes are better than cakes, which I sometimes find dry. The cookies are okay, I prefer another place. The service is usually very good, but sometimes I'm standing there for a few minutes when I'm the only one in line. read more

The food was delicious, I had the club because they were out of Swiss Cheese for the Reuben I was craving one) the potato salad was delicious. They had one size for drinks and with a long line I did want to get back in line for another. A place this size could have more staff instead of standing in line. At lunch they only had one person taking orders when they had two registers. They had hundreds of single serve pieces of cake in plastic containers, however I didn't see dates on them? Yes their cakes are very good. However, beware. We purchased one for our 3 year old's birthday and when we picked it up, it was nothing like we ordered, not even close. We mentioned the discrepancy in the store, but they were reluctant to replace or fix it. After we brought it home, we called customer service and was told to return the original cake for a replacement. The new cake was much closer to what we ordered. However, the next day the original cake was sliced and for sale in their cooler. The uniqueness of this cake leaves no question that it was the same cake we returned the day before. This cake was in our possession for several hours, and while it was returned unharmed, that might not always be the case. I will never eat food from there again. Zero stars. read more

We live in Decatur so this is a great location for us. We go for breakfast -- the manager is so welcoming plus he definitely works too---always busy making sure everything is going smoothly... even buses tables, refills drinks, plus get pre/orders for customers. The staff is new so please be patient. Our order is always correct & hot. The caramel & orange rolls are good too! So far so good --every time is enjoyable. read more
