Things were still crazy on day 2. The line was out the door and the employees looked tired and frazzled. The rolls are average and pricey, definitely not worth $5.75 each for a plain cinnamon roll. They plan to expand their hours soon.

    My missing dessert!

The coffee is okay. The service is super slow. I'm tired. We got the baby buns and I didn't expect them to take around 30 mins. Kind of disappointed. Pic is of my missing dessert.

People started mentioning Miso Happy to me a solid year and a half before I finally went. Then it was a... Tsunami. I've always brought no less than 4 people and thrice now there's been groups of teens on tatami mats and gallons of boba. I think what makes Miso Happy is it's ability to be approachable but also fairly authentic in its offerings. This building was... something else. This restaurant used to be called Edo, like the old world Japanese capital and a ton of American Japanese steakhouse across the nation. It looks like a traditional sukiya-zukuri which really has a casual but refined "vibe"... Great for friends and family alike. If you have a group, there's tatami and seiza setting --be advised: drop your shoes and your butt closer to the floor. There's also an embrace of this anime wave as Totoro motif that somehow fits. The staff is inviting and works to accommodate changes as they come up. Now I haven't tried every sushi roll in the place yet but it's reliably fresh and tasty. There's no euphoric or transcendent experience to be had as far as I've experienced BUT... They don't miss, either. There's also donburi and hibachi, bento boxes and lots of "comfortable" dishes to make everybody feel at home. And then there's the ramen. It's among the best in Huntsville... and that's considering even some favorite ramenya in town like Kamado and new comers like Kyuramen. The broths are distinguishable, deeply flavored and has something for just about everyone: shoyu, tonkatsu, beef and veggje/miso options in deep tetsu bowls with a really nice aesthetic. I tried the big wave poke bowl last time and they're also satisfying... Further pushing the idea that Miso Happy is a great Japanese generalist in town. Food: 4.5/5.00 - near tops in the genre locally Atmosphere: 4.25/5.00 - a melding of worlds done well Service: 4.25 - never had a bad visit X-Factor: 4.5 - such a vibe regardless of what you're expecting Overall: 4.375/5.00 Ps: There's a little garden to the left of the entrance that's worth just stopping to admire, especially in good weather.

Seriously tough call on the rating here. I think I'll settle on a 3 but it was super close to a 4,…read morejust several minor frustrations added up. I came here with one of my best friends who was home for Thanksgiving to have a girl's day out. BeeZr advertises a nice-looking brunch on the weekends so we thought we'd try it out. She wound up not being able to meet until later in the afternoon but I'm not opposed to a late brunch, so we got there around 1. It was a gray and dreary day on Thanksgiving weekend, so I get it being slow, but the restaurant was literally empty except for us and the servers. We joked it was because we'd rented the whole building to treat each other. The vibe is...fine inside. It definitely looks and feels more like a brewery than a restaurant, with large equipment and a sort of dimly lit atmosphere and a few large TVs by the nice bar. They have a small patio on the square which is REALLY lovely and definitely would've been my preference if the weather was nicer. Our server was okay. He was soft-spoken and not unpleasant, but did sort of have a knack for appearing at inopportune times during the conversation. I get that it's not always possible to avoid, but a little more discretion would've gone a long way, especially since we were the only ones in there. Our food and drinks came out in a timely manner. My biggest frustration was definitely the menu and item availability. I pre-read it and came knowing what I wanted (bananas foster French toast) only to discover that they were running a limited Thanksgiving weekend brunch menu and therefore it wasn't being offered that day. The first thing my friend ordered also wasn't available. I had my heart set on brunch so I asked for the breakfast burrito instead. Our waiter had to go check and make sure the kitchen could do it. Turns out they could - yay. But then I asked for potatoes to go with it -- and there were no breakfast potatoes available. I went with fries instead. When my burrito arrived at the table, there was no salsa or sour cream, which was supposed to come with it. Any component part of this experience is not a HUGE deal, but it all added up to be rather disappointing. My friend got the bulgogi tacos, which came in an order of two sort of small tacos. She liked them and said they were really good. She also got first a French mimosa and then a classic mimosa; I also had a classic mimosa. Both were generic but enjoyable. My breakfast burrito was decent, but I really missed the salsa and sour cream. The bacon inside was cut into tiny crunchy pieces, which I liked. The eggs were cooked very well but needed more salt and pepper. I enjoyed the bright burst of peppers and some were even a tiny bit spicy. It was a large serving but I wish it came with some side item instead of me having to order one. The side of fries was generous and they were really good -- super crispy but still fluffy inside. I thought the bill was a little high for 1 mimosa, a breakfast burrito, and fries -- almost $40. The burrito alone was $18, which seems like sooooo much for a brunch entree with no sides. Idk. Maybe I don't do mid-scale dining enough. Overall, I thought the quality of the food was solid enough that I'd consider returning, but I'd call ahead to see if they had what I wanted to avoid frustration.

The pizzas weren't amaaaazing, but they were good. I tried the pepperoni and bulgogi and both were decently executed and ample in size. They have outdoor seating if that's your thing, service is good, and they really try hard. I'd go back.

M & K Jamaican Restaurant in Huntsville did not disappoint…read more Went with the curry chicken, I'm already a fan of curry in general, but this one really hit. The medium portion was more than enough, served with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains. Everything came out fast and hot, and the price felt very fair for how much food you get. Plenty of seating too, grabbed a window seat, enjoyed the music (which matched the vibe perfectly), and you can tell it's a family-owned spot with regulars coming through. And yeah... had to include the before & after Safe to say it held up all the way through. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu.

The restaurant was clean and fairly well-maintained, with an impressive health department score of 95. The atmosphere is very casual, making it a family-friendly spot that works well for small groups. The service was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, everything that looks good isn't always good. The food was just okay overall. The chef was a little heavy-handed with the salt in the cabbage, although both the rice and cabbage came in decent portions. The large curry chicken portion, however, was surprisingly skimpy. The entire serving of jerk chicken was also overly charred, which made it difficult to fully enjoy. Ironically, the rice was the best part of the entree. For the price, I expected much better. Overall, this was a solidly disappointing dining experience.
