Once for day care and another time for grooming. I was pleased with both services. I do feel on the grooming pickup was very transactional and fast. I felt rushed! The front desk also questioned if I wanted more hair cut while the groomer was still present. All of this taking place before I saw my baby. I was asked to answer gratuity prompts to pay before they even brought my pup out. Without seeing my puppy I had no way of determining a proper gratuity. I do like to tip for services when satisfied. All in all, I'm pleased with how my pup is when he leaves and he seems to love Pupsi so far. The groomers did exactly what I requested. We look forward to coming back soon.

THEY KILLED MY $5,000 PUREBRED DOG (PLEASE READ) My purebred…read moreBernese Mountain dog who was 2 years and 2 months went to Clayton Animal Hospital in the care of Caylee Cuppernull on Feb 16th for a NEUTER and GASTROPEXY. They assured me they were routing procedures. That was a Monday, and Friday morning I found him dead. I was in CONSTANT text communication with them, brought Bruno in on Wednesday as his stitches were dark purple and leaking fluid, brought him in on Thursday as he seemed to rapidly decline. I told them to do WHATEVER they needed to NO MATTER THE COST. They assured me my baby would be ok. Caylee kept saying he was "fine" and "just a sensitive boy". He was in their care all day Thursday for fluids and when we picked him up that evening he could barely walk without panting and plopping down every few steps. AGAIN, she said he was "a sensitive boy and just a little inflamed." She ran blood tests and said his white blood cell count was low but that it was normal and that he was AGAIN "SENSITIVE". They wanted me to bring him back in on Friday for more fluids for another full day. After my husband stayed up till around 4:30am, watching him. I woke up at 7:40am and found him dead in his crate with blood and fluid coming out of his belly. I screamed and pleaded for him to wakeup, his belly still warm but his body stiff. I called Clayton Animal Hospital and they just said sorry and sent over 2 vet techs who grabbed him out of the crate to bring to my car to transport to Rollins Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory for Necropsy. Necropsy results said he hemorrhaged and had SEVERE inflammation, essentially dying from SEPSIS. He had muscle NECROSIS. aka his muscle tissue was DYING. He was in their care MONDAY, WED, all day THUR and all signs that he was septic were missed. He had stopped EATING and DRINKING since TUESDAY and CAYLEE CUPPERNULL said and I quote "I don't feel like eating when I have the flu either, he is just a sensitive boy". I have talked to other people who have also lost their pets at the hands of this hospital. I am BEGGING you, do not take your animals here for any major surgery, they will KILL your beloved pet. This place is disgusting and unsanitary. FUN FACT: Caylee Cuppernull never even reached out to apologize or show remorse. I NEVER heard from her ever again and all anyone else could say was "so sorry we don't know how this could have happened". I loved this dog with all my heart and soul. He was THE SWEETEST boy ever, so gentle and full of love with his large paws. I just wanted the best for him and I feel like a failure as a dog parent. Bruno trusted me blindly and I put my trust in this hospital just to lose my fur baby who should have had 5+ more years ahead of him.

When setting up boarding, I followed online steps to generate an estimate only to be told by automation that they didn't give estimates. Prepare for things like that to just happen. Good luck getting them to answer the phone. I tried putting my dog in daycare for a couple days so she could feel the place out before her stay and I kept getting brick-walled. They never, within 45 days, had an opening. I was told they were getting such a demand that they have to turn away regulars. When you set up a profile, you fill in important info about this and that. It's mostly easy. I did so, preparing for a getaway about a month and a half later. My puppy Angel wasn't spayed at the time. By the check-in date, she was spayed. I took her to the facility, signed her up, provided a bag of food I bought, and went on my trip. The website says they'll send you pics of your dog in activity. Two days into my vacation, no pics. I called, no answer, so I left a message. I was eventually texted back with them saying I hadn't signed up for it. Okay, my fault. Keep in mind, you have to sign up for this. Then I found out she wasn't playing with the other dogs because they had assumed she wasn't spayed. Again, I had no idea about this, but you have to take it upon yourself to update ALL information in the profile, as the staff operate off that. So...after finally getting someone on the phone, I had the profile updated and Angel was clear to play with other dogs. The pics they sent me were 4 blurry, hastily taken photos of Angel and another dog in the lobby. Nothing of her taking action in the play area or anything. And no photos of her playing the next day. While the woman who contacted me was great and literally went above and beyond in trying to please, the results weren't satisfactory. It's a good place - don't get me wrong. But they tell you almost nothing, the website features seem neglected, the pics weren't good and communication is tough to come by. A.

They did SUCH a good job clipping her nails. Even the vets we've seen in the past can't do a good job and sometimes miss nails altogether. They did a wonderful job. Would come back and skip the belly shave. Parking is a loading zone at the front of the shop. It's "downtown" Raleigh but like on the outskirts so it's not too busy and it isn't difficult to get a parking spot if you go in the morning. Drop off is between 8-10am. I dropped her off at 9 and they finished by around 3 (like 2:45 to be exact haha).

Lately, we seem to have an issue with getting the dog washed or nail-clipped there. They claim the dog is being aggressive by showing her teeth to the tech. We even gave the dog Gabapentin which was recommended by the Gentle Care Animal Hospital but still, they couldn't finish the assignment and blamed her (the dog) for being too aggressive. Our dog is not aggressive, she probably just didn't like what was being done to her. The clinic is supposed to know how to handle larger dogs in similar situations and not make excuses all the time. If this would be super easy, we would have done this ourselves. This is your line of business and you should be able to tackle slightly more complicated than straightforward assignments... This happened to us there (at Gentle Care Animal Hospital at Tryon) on several occasions even as we followed pre-procedure procedures given by Gentle Care Animal Hospital. Tried discussing this with the local manager (I think her name was Becky Stevenson) but that didn't help. We will not be returning there and be taking our business elsewhere.

At least one of the owners of the facility is always on site and in my experience, they're very invested in the well-being of their customers - again, dogs AND humans! I especially like that they offer flexible time slots: 3 hours as well as half and full days and discounts for buying a package of sessions. Very pleased - we're new here but so far, great experience!

(A bit odd the groomer herself was not speaking with me directly but put faith in her being a professional and my dog being somewhat common/well-known breed.) I specifically stated no shave. I'm all for a summer cut, but my baby was sheared! About 0.5-1in left on her, shaved her belly, and nicked her paws (discovered after we got home). Totally took away from integrity of the breed and it's cut. The technique used did not look anywhere near professional.

Terrible experience at this vet that unfortunately aligns with others negative experiences…read more Our dog got injured at their boarding facility and I received three different stories about what happened. They kept her an additional night so they could examine her in the morning. They called to tell me they recommended an X-ray. I specifically asked how much and they quoted me $542. I was hesitant to proceed as they couldn't even articulate what they were looking for. It was basically an exploratory X-ray. I agreed and when I went to pick up the dog they hit me with an $1100 bill. After discussing with them, they admitted that they incorrectly quoted me a price and they thought they had consent to provide my dog with injections as treatment. Despite this being their mistake they refused to do anything to make it right. Further, they prescribed her antibiotic for no apparent reason. When I asked several times I was told it was because maybe she had an infection yet they ran comprehensively blood work to the tune of $200 dollars which showed no infection. This vet cannot be trusted and has proven to take advantage of customers. They are also refusing to provide me with the vet records despite my asking several times. It is so hard to find good trust worthy vets, I'm hopeful others can benefit from my mistakes and avoid this place at all costs.

The hospital and boarding staff are incredibly kind, loving and communicate very well regarding the needs of our three dogs. Dr. Gore and her staff are incredibly knowledgeable at assessing and successfully treating the many situations we have had over the years. Dr. Gore and her staff were able to prevent our senior Labrador retriever from having a serious and dangerous surgery that another vet insisted she have. She was able to treat her without surgery and within six months she was walking on all fours and back to perfect health again. We are so grateful. Our beagle rescue has anxiety disorder and needs special care regarding nutrition and calming treatments, he used to be very nervous and scared. He was abused in his other home. Dr. Gore and her staff have provided Oscar with the most successful treatment. He is so happy to see the staff, stay at boarding, play with the other dogs and get medical Care. It is so wonderful to see how happy he is when we pick him up. When we drop our three dogs off, whether for medical care, boarding or play, we know they will be loved like family. The staff greets you with a smile and communicates very well. Additionally, they helped us raise our rambunctious bernidoodle from a puppy who also has severe allergies. Dr. Gore and her staff provided helpful support around training, nutrition and medical care. He is thriving and doing great. Five years ago we did not have a very good experience with another vet. We transferred all of our dogs to Dr. Gore and her staff at Spring Forest Animal Hospital. It has been the very best decision. We love Dr. Gore and her staff and are so grateful for their help in raising our dogs over the years.
