She was playing Taylor Swift (my favorite). She wrapped up all my items carefully and put it in a bag with ribbon. It was so cute and I can't wait to gift the items I bought! She also let me know if you join their loyalty program you get discounts when you spend a certain amount. It's easy to spend lots of money here because everything is so nice! There's a fun mystery book selection where you don't know what you're getting with short descriptions as well. In addition to books, there's a wide selection of stickers, bookmarks, notebooks, and a small section of earrings, tote bags & socks. They also sell candles & mugs. There is a small upstairs section with more books. And there was a lot of signage for different events. They have going on including book clubs and bedazzling events. Overall, a great experience. I headed to the back to find the Oracle deck cards. She had a decorative table in the back displaying her gorgeous Oracle deck cards. There were little refreshments and amazing cookies to celebrate the occasion. After learning more about Oracle deck cards, I decided to shuffle and pull two cards. They were exactly on point. I became emotional and decided to explore the rest of the store. I realized I did give myself a big enough budget. Joe Paraiso, the owner, is a very experienced coffee purveyor, and he's been incredibly kind to me, sharing his time and knowledge to make sure I get what I want. And, not for nothing, when I'm at Brew Coffee Spot picking up the beans I ordered online, I always have a coffee. Joe either does a great job of training his baristas, or he's REALLY good at hiring talent, or both. Seriously... his folks make my coffees, usually a cortado or a straight espresso, with a downtown San Francisco or Rome level of competence.

The barista opened right on time (7 AM) I loved how friendly she was for it being that early, and she got me my drink within 3-4 minutes. I had also gotten a bagel with cream cheese which I don't believe was toasted and would say that was the only downside but the delicious amount of cream cheese definitely helped.

Hello, My name is Evan Carpenter; I am the Manager of Edible Arrangements in La Mesa (not any other store). I Started here in Oct of 2010 and have never really used this site, mostly be cause I feel that people come here as a last resort, be cause they want to get something off there chest and are most likely past the point of getting there issues fixed. I would be more then happy to talk to anyone that has had less then 100% form my store. Do keep in mind that we are extremely busy on holidays and that as humans can only do so much. We do get a lot of customers that come in last min and want something NOW and to those people, I am sorry we do not work like that , we try to make a few extra a day but past that we would just be wasting fruit; you have to place an order and then we make there is no other way. We do try to accommodate everyone as best as we can, But some people do make mistakes it's not OK but does happen. Now as far as the fruit quality we do our best to make sure that every peace is perfect. We can not eat every peace, there would be nothing left for the customers (lol). We offer great products at a wonderful price to help you celebrate any occasion, and I would hate for anyone to miss out on enjoying one of are tasty arrangements, So to anyone that has had any issues in past, I will do my best to fix it. I love Edible Arrangements in La Mesa! Any time that I need a gift or am having a special party at my home, I order a special boquet from Evan Carpenter, he is the manager here and he is the best. The last time I had a baby shower I ordered a boquet and it was the centerpiece for our food table and was just beautiful. I also love working with Edible Arrangements because they are very involved with our community. They have donated countless amounts of boquets for local non-profits. The chocolate dipped fruit here is amazing! It tastes absolutely wonderful. I have gotten fruit from here many times, and every time the fruit has been fresh. My only complaints would be that I have ordered things over the phone in advance so that when I go there I wont have to wait, and more often than not, when I get there my order is not ready and I end up waiting anyway. Also, it is a bit pricey in my opinion. In the end I am always happy with the product I get, just not so happy with the price and the process. read more

Annie was amazing!!! I order a basket online for Mother's Day but decided to pickup instead of delivery knowing it would be crazy during Mother's Day. Went in and Annie was beyond amazing!! This place is great! We were only in the neighborhood for my boys to see the train but the owner had her grandkids out front giving samples so we decided to check it out. The smoothie was delicious and she even made fancy pineapple decorations for it. The chocolate covered strawberries and bananas were also delicious! Wonderful customer service too. read more
