I'm so very disappointed in this place. It used to be kind and genuine people behind the counter now it's just half assed "give me your money" type of business. For Valentine's Day I bought a $180 (with vase) arrangement. I saw other bouquets had a "Valentine's Day" sash and I asked if it would be possible for them to put it on my bouquet. One woman said no, I asked another female and she said yes she'll go look for me but has me wait 5 min and she completely ignored or forgot she was getting me one. A gentleman asked her where is the sash she said she'd retrieve for me and she said nothing. Another older female then says "oh they're $5" after all that run around I didn't want to spend anymore here. I hope they hire more experienced people here. read more

I stopped by today, (day before Mother's Day) and they have been open 24/7 since Thursday! And rightly so, did you see their selection (see pics)? They are prepped and ready for Mother's Day! I would always drive right by this flower stand that has buckets of flowers on the corner of El Cajon and 70th on my way to the 8. Finally one day I decided to purposely make a pit stop here and check out what they have and loved coming here for specials occasions or flowers just for me ever since! They have a huge selection of flowers, more than what you see out on the front corner. There is a fridge that has a majority of every color of rose and more pre-made bouquets in vases. Keep walking through to the parking lot and there are even more flowers in the back! Big or small, custom or pre-made you will get an absolutely gorgeous bouquet of flowers! I personally like picking out my own flowers and having them put them together and each time, an absolutely beautiful bouquet! The staff is super nice and friendly. Parking lot is small, but they are fast and turn around is fairly quick, especially when it's a holiday and they get super busy. Reasonably priced if you don't go super extravagant which they definitely do have! They accept cash and credit card. Nothing but great service and beautiful flowers! I always pass by this flower shop and finally decided to check them out on Sunday night. I checked online and said they close late and I'm glad they do because not too many places stay open late or some places say they do but when you get there they're closed. I got there around 6 pm and there was still plenty of selection to choose from. I picked up some sunflowers and the price was very reasonable. While I don't have a need for flowers that often, I've never been disappointed with the selection, even last minute purchases (ahem, Mother's Day, anyone?). I've stopped in to order delivery and more often just pickup. Flowers For You is located not too far from my mom's house, so it's very convenient for me as she's the main person I buy flowers for. I must admit, this flower shop has been there for me through various celebrations, like Mothers's Day, my attempts at romantic gestures when dating was relevant, and now recently with tokens of appreciation for my kiddo's teachers & teacher aides. Flowers For You has been there for as long as I can remember, although I cannot recall exactly when the refrigerated room extension was added on (probably sometime well after The Tubs dried up), taking away even more much needed parking spaces. The florist is conveniently located at the busy intersection of 70th St and El Cajon Blvd. Service has always been helpful and friendly, but I usually visit during off-peak hours and not on flower holidays, when it's overly crowded and a hot mess of people and petals everywhere. How It Works: You have two options at this store: pick a bundle of prepared flowers (~$30) or pick your own flowers. If you pick your own flowers, each flower type has a price tag (about $2 for a regular type and $5 for a rose--the rose comes with a complementary white plant decoration). I picked my own flowers to better control the final price and the final style. The final price ended up being only $15 with a rainbow rose (specially dyed in different colors), three other flowers and some decoratory plants. After making the transactionhe the man who worked there let me choose a free complementary card to write a note on and a colored ribbon to wrap the flowers in. I must say, it was a great deal considering all the customized items that turned into the final bundle! Excellent Service: When I mentioned that I wanted to pick my own flowers, he gave me a bucket filled with some water to put the potential flowers in, and pointed out some hot items that were in popular demand. After finding out that I had to carry the flowers with me on a two-hour drive, he gave me a soda cup filled with water to hold the flowers in. That made my ride very smooth and kept the flowers fresh since I didn't have to hold onto them while driving. Be Warn: Know Thy Flowers There's a cheat sheet if you are interested in what each color means for a rose, but you'll have to rely on Google to find out the meaning for the other flowers. The employee there wasn't too knowledgeable in the area either. Overall, the customization aspect gives the gift a personal touch. Flowers For You has beautiful flowers at great prices. You can either make your own arrangement and pay per stem or you can buy one of their pre-made ones. I originally came here with the intention of making my own bouquet, but I think a lot of guys beat me to the punch because there wasn't much to pick from by the time I got there at lunch LOL! Instead I purchased one small bouquet (~$20) and one large bouquet (~$40). Both were beautifully arranged and reasonably priced - especially the large bouquet. It was gorgeous! I want to note that this shop is small, so people were crowded and shoved into a tiny space. The plaza it's in is also insanely tiny, so parking was a bee-otch. Thankfully someone was leaving as my friend and I were pulling in, so we had no issues with that. I can't speak for the other people who came before or after us lol. read more

This place has a decent selection and the lady that works there is sweet and crates very nice arrangements. I opted to create my own by picking flowers by the individual stem. I don't buy flowers much but I felt like the price was reasonable. And once I finished picking my flowers the lady put it together with greens to make them fuller and give them a cohesive look. It came out beautifully!! I definitely would come here again. I got 4 sunflowers @$1.50/each, 3 large white flowers @$2/each (forgot the name), and two of the orange ones @$1/each (can't remember the name of these either) totaling $19.48 with tax and a $4 vase. I would give 5 stars if the price were more competitive to the big guys and freshness was a bit scarce, I don't know if it was because I came closer to the evening (6pm) so I had to really pay attention to my selections to make sure I was getting the freshest flowers. All in all good for convenience if you are last minute like I was, or live near, or on the way to somewhere that this place is along your way. read more
