Ordered lunch for delivery - totkes and a smoked turkey club - and both were fantastic. I've also tried the breakfast wraps and famed cold brew tahini shake numerous times at their WV location. So good!

I had to find out what all the rave was about with the Carmela sandwich at Edith's this year! When I saw that this beauty of a bite was making a comeback after selling out, I made sure to get my order in for pick-up the weekend before Thanksgiving. Every nook and cranny on this sandwich was bursting with flavor, and totally lived up to the hype (and I'm not even a huge fan of turkey.) In addition to the sandwich, I also tried the Latkes and Chocolate Babka, which was insanely chocolatey and delicious! While I haven't tried any other items yet, I'm sure they're all equally delicious. If it's still on the menu, run to get your Carmela before it's gone!

I saw pictures of the coffee slushy and it looked so good and cute that I wanted one too. Sumner is almost ending and today was pretty warm so I decided to go get one. It is pretty expensive but it's worth the price! It cost me around $9 with tax and all. The slushy has tahini, oat milk, and cold brew coffee in it. It looks very cool in the cup. It's brown and white all over the place! Very nice design this slushy makes. I drank it really slow to enjoy this slushy and it was very refreshing. Not overly sweet at all either! It's like mildly bitter sweet! Tastes so good! I will get another one next time I pass by here. It's also cool the lid has a huge opening for the big straw.

Edith's was a hit! We stopped here for an early lunch after a late night and I absolutely would come back. The line was pretty small despite the place being packed, because they move fast. A lot of people carrying out, or eating outside or around in the neighborhood, as there's limited seating inside. First, they are known for their frozen cafe slushie which is basically a frozen coffee. The texture was great and something about frozen coffee is perfect for a hangover. Then, we split the chicken tahini Caesar crunch wrap which was very unique and refreshing. It was like a chicken Caesar but with tahini and kale instead of caesar salad. I wish we had the appetite to try a bagel sandwich with latke, but not this time. But, because it was so good and had fast service, we will be back!

Went for lunch on Memorial Day - was lucky to avoid the long line that is typical at their west village location. The slushie (not pictured) was truly special as always, however their sandwiches didn't wow us. Smoked turkey hero had fantastic components but was the construction was subpar, and the namesake sandwich was just another Ruben

I was skeptical about an overpriced sandwich place but it was great. The ice cafe slush was refreshing and sweet. I also got the BEC&L on an everything bagel (not pictured) and that was great as well - loved the house sauce on this. Only gripe was it was a bit overpriced (as with a lot of things in the city), the meal ran me about $25. They also don't have any seating, except for a measly two chairs out on the storefront. A lot of people just end up loitering at nearby stores or stoops.

Easily one of my new favorite breakfast spots in the city -- the Sephardi Wrap was delicious, super filling and I appreciated the flexibility to sub avocado to make it vegetarian. The Latke Tots were super crispy, would definitely get the share!

Finally, after all this time of peering at the speckled oat milk tahini iced coffee slushie on socials, the stars aligned (meaning the traffic wasn't crazy for once) and I sucked that caffeinated bev down full knowing I had to wake up early for work the next morning. There were crunchy ice crystal moments, tempered by the smooth and bitter (contradicting?), nutty tahini. And no, I'm not an animal and I didn't pair my coffee with their Perfect Tuna Melt--the tuna was enjoyed at home after the cheeses had cooled down a little. The sandwich travels well on griddled seedy rye but for $15, I'm finding that I can make a tuna sandwich just as good. Dollar for dollar, the tuna melt here, the tuna sandwich at Radio Bakery, the tunaberry and yasha at Court Street Grocers, and the tuna melt and tunaberry at S&P lunch, and the tuna melt at Golden Diner are all great options if you're unable to source great bread and tuna. At $15, the Edith's tuna melt is the second cheapest of the listed sandwiches (Radio Bakery checks in at $14.50, but is not grilled). The totkes are worth trying however you can probs skip the Cooper's sharp cheese sauce. Their cheese sauce is made from scratch and could benefit from a touch more of sodium citrate and a longer cook--the sauce cooled down and felt a little grainy.

I'm not sure how this place doesn't have a full five stars. The staff is very friendly. I am a big breakfast person and I go out to eat often a very good judge of food. This place has the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had in New York City. By far the best scrambled eggs I've ever tasted. Highly recommend recommended very unique menu, traditional, breakfast items, and sandwiches, but everything has a twist.

Had the Edith & the Sephardi, also tried the coffee tahini slush, latke and choco chip cookies. The wait for food was about 30mins after ordering so we came back. We enjoyed the sandwiches but the Edith's bread was a bit too crunchy and greasy for my liking, but their pastrami is good (meaty and not too salty). The Sephardi is worth the hype though, the exterior is super flakey, reminds me of a scallion pancake. I would pass on the coffee tahini slush next time. The cookies were soooo thin, very crispy, chewy & buttery, I would get again. Would def come back to try more items on their menu!

Don't waste your money - food was cold, the iced coffee slushie is tiny for the price. Wanted to love but unfortunately missed the mark

Pretty good breakfast sandwiches, disappointed that I never got my latke order and taste it by myself. $6 with tax down the drain.

But this review is about something bigger than dessert. The strawberry cheesecake here reminds me of my mom. It was her favorite, and it was one of the last desserts I got to share with her. Anytime she wanted a sweet treat, that's what she asked for. Ordering it now keeps me connected to her. This past July, on her 3rd birthday in heaven, I placed an order to celebrate her. The menu only had cherry cheesecake that day, so I wrote a note explaining what the strawberry meant to me. The staff didn't just make it happen, they sent an extra slice of strawberry cheesecake on top of it. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. The people here have always been this kind. We love everyone who works there, and we're grateful for the small moments of care they've shown our family. Thank you for everything.

I wanted to get the carrot cake as opposed to the carrot cheesecake, however, it was sold out. Instead, I purchased the Slice of Red Velvet cake and a slice of Blackout cake. Each slice was approximately $9. Not a terrible price; managed to get two slice of cake for under $20. I love how there is an option to dine in here. There's a full menu of coffee beverage options to choose from and a pastry to pair it with. There are also a variety of decorative cupcakes to choose from as well. I instantly noticed the Knicks championship cupcakes when I walked in. The establishment is relatively small but you can tell that they get great business here. The staff members who I engaged with were pretty nice as well.

We work with Katy who is always creative, personable, easy to work with, promptly responsive and thoughtful. This year, I asked for a cake that tastes like an almond joy candy bar, and I couldn't believe how well she delivered! She added chocolate chips to their moist, already immaculate coconut cake, and incorporated a layer of coconut cream and a layer of chocolate ganache with toasted crushed almonds. It was insanelyyyyy good and 100% spot on to the flavor profile we were going for. They enrobed the cake in the most beautiful, ornate icing designs and matched our color inspo perfectly. If you are someone who cares about aesthetics AND flavor, you must get your cake from Buttermilk Bakeshop. Her cakes are always delicious, and with very little direction she will easily exceed your expectations. Any time we stray and order a cake elsewhere, we wish we stuck with our tried and true. Also worth mentioning is that whether you choose to pick-up or have your cake delivered, you can rest easy knowing you're going to receive your order at the expected time, no nonsense. Also, if you are gluten free, their GF cake is so good no one will believe it's GF (we have ordered several GF cakes over the years, the cake described here was not GF). Thank you Buttermilk for being an important part of our celebrations. Highly recommend!!!
