Went to the pop up in Nordstrom with good expectations and left pretty disappointed. The Edith sandwich was very expensive ($24) and was pretty terrible. I tried to enjoy it but couldn't. Maybe someone else likes it but it just wasn't for me. I also got the iced cafe slushie and it was pretty good and wasn't very sweet, however the cup size is large and the drink itself isn't something i would want to drink a large amount of. The first time I ordered from here I thought it was worth the price for an exceptionally fresh and substantial lox bagel sandwich and unique coffee tahini slushie. However, the second time I ordered the same thing, the bagel was much smaller and average at best, and they left off the Bibb lettuce. Maybe this doesn't seem like a big deal, but when I'm paying $18.25 for a bagel sandwich with four ingredients, I expect at minimum to get what I paid for. Also, the size of the iced coffee slushie that costs $9.35 was nothing like the one in Morlene C.'s picture taken only a year ago. See for yourself--maybe this is the kiddie cup size like ice cream shops offer off menu? I bet the price has gone up from last year too. Next time, I will get the Dunkin Donuts drink formerly known as a Coffee Coolata or go to 7-Eleven and make my own coffee slushie--at least there the cup sizes and prices are transparent. read more

Ordered a LEO on a Chicago everything bagel w/ heat. The sandwich part (or the LEO) was delish and was a great blend of flavors. Nice portion size on everything. Unfortunately the bagel itself is pretty almost below average for NYC. Nice everything seasoning, but the bagel is way too hearty and a bit chewy for my taste. My preferred bagel rn is Knickerbocker Bagel so do with that info as you will. I'll try non-bagel from here and update my review. Super fast service though on a busy Sunday, cute spot, nice outdoor space and next to a coffee shop which is good. read more

My bagel was pretty dense - not necessarily a bad thing if chewy bagels are your preference, but they're not mine - but I was surprised by how small it was. For a $20 bagel sandwich, I had high hopes, but I should've listened to the other reviews. The actual whitefish on the bagel was good! I'd buy that in a tub to eat at home. Absolutely worth all the hype!! Hands down one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had! From the Cooper sharp melted to cheese to the giant fluffy scrambled eggs and crispy potato latke this sandwich was RIDICULOUSlY decadent. And just to escalated this sandwich a little further you have to get it on Chicago style everything bagel. It was so unique. I love a good everything bagel but this one had just a little bit of spice that elevated the whole sandwich. Also the hot sauce and special sauce on the side made every bite perfect. And the tahini cold brew slushie is a must try any time of year!! It was 30 degrees out and I still thoroughly enjoyed my slushie with the nutty coffee flavor. Absolutely phenomenal sandwiches. I ordered the Scottsdale breakfast wrap and was blown way. We ordered ahead and the order was ready within about 10 minutes. The Malawach was so flavorful and crispy on the outside. There was so much filling inside with plenty of avocado and fluffy eggs. I still think about this breakfast wrap and will definitely be coming back. There isn't much seating though so we took our wraps to eat at home. read more

So many unique Sandwiches. They're all astronomically expensive though, so please be aware before you enter. The Monday special made me so happy, but it's on Wednesdays now so I can no longer partake since I work all day Wednesdays. I really loved their chicken shakshuka parm. I hope as time goes on, the specials will be added to the menu more regularly so more people can enjoy them. The winning product here is the coffee slush made with oat milk and tahini. Delicious. I think I found out about them in the New Yorker, and they were worth the great review. We had that New York staple, the bagel with cream cheese, and it was perfect. The red pepper flakes on the "Chicago style" bagel were pleasant surprise that added a nice balance to the item. I'll be back again soon to try more of their items. read more

I liked the sourdough bagel, but the outside looses its crispiness as soon as you start eating it. The latke inside is what makes it unique, but I think it's waaay too thick and it steels flavor from other elements. It would be better if the latke was thinner, that way it would be crispier and less overpowering. The Edith was the best thing I had. The pastrami was perfect and it was perfectly complemented by the cheese and sauerkraut. Also, it was huuuge. The halloumi fries were ok, same as a mozzarella stick. I think the side sauces are super expensive (like $2 for a mini container). If you want one I'd recommend the green one. read more

It really does pain me to write this review, as I rarely write bad reviews here on Yelp. I was recommended to go to Edith's by a friend who has great taste in food. One could argue that I went at the wrong time, but then again, as long as a spot is open, they should be producing quality product. I'll first say that the service was extremely pleasant. The young lady who took my order was very friendly and hospitable. Having said that, I ordered the bacon egg and cheese bagel, which they had just run out of. So I went with their NYC Classic on an everything bagel, which comes with smoked salmon, heirloom tomato, pickled shallot, lettuce, and house cultured creamed cheese. The young lady was excited for me to try it, and that just added to my excitement. After ordering, I received my bagel rather quickly. I'd say it took 30min max for me to get home. I sat outside to eat. I opened the box to find an underwhelming presentation. I didn't see the salmon at first glance, but rather a large portion of lettuce. I pick up half, bite into it, and could barely bite through the bagel, as it was extremely tough. As far as texture, it just didn't seem like a fresh bagel, at all. I gave up on eating the bagel and just ate the salmon, which was just ok. It was missing the smoky flavor, which was disappointing. After tasting the salmon and the tough bagel, I was not hopeful enough to continue eating it, so I threw it away, unfortunately. I really wanted to like this spot, but after this experience, I'm afraid that it could just be a fad. Quality control matters. read more

Had an everything bagel bacon egg and cheese sandwich here and OMG it was the bomb. It was clearly freshly made and HOT. The secret sauce that comes with it is a little spicy and a perfect addition to cut through the egg and cheese. Service was quick and no nonsense. They had a bowl of tahini blondie samples out and we tried some and that was also really good!! We sat outside as they have a few empty tables and there's no seating indoors. Paul Giannone, owner of the famous Greenpoint pizzeria Paulie Gee, has been a strong advocate for the restaurant industry during COVID19 and during this time of difficulty he has generously offered Jewish-American eatery Edith's his place to do a breakfast pop-up Thursday through Sunday. It's also a smart idea because the famous pizza place is not open in the mornings so the kitchen is just sitting there unused. Ever since the pop-up started Edith's has become a favorite bagel spot for so many New Yorkers and there is always a really long line that forms even before opening. Their signature bagel sandwich is the BEC&L, which is their take on the BEC (bacon, egg and cheese) with latke (hence the "L") on a Chicago bagel (their version of an Everything Bagel). They also have a weekly pizza bagel featuring signature Paulie Gee's pizzas like the Hellboy. So far the best one yet has been the pizza bagel with arugula, pesto and mozzarella. They have other delicious items like the shakshuka morning bun and the Sabich and they have a refreshing nonalcoholic drink called the Passionfruit Gazoz. You'll have to wake up super early to make that trek to Greenpoint though because they sell out quickly, sometimes within two hours of opening, but you'll be glad that you did and be sure to order everything. I only wish this place was here to stay for good. read more

Edith's is so polarizing. I see the complaints about the bagels, which TBH *are* hard and dense in the store-made sandwich format. But they are glorious when you take them home and toast them, **chefs kiss** with the superlative house-smoked salmon cream cheese. Sephardi wrap is phenomenal, and the best thing on the menu. Edith's sandwich is good when you want a less-dense pastrami sandwich. The Pastrami sandwich is good when you want a really dense pastrami sandwich. (1/2 might be sufficient for a whole day's food intake.) Rye bread on both is flavorful, light, better than any other rye I've ever had. Blondies are fluffy and have a depth of flavor surprising for an old standby. Generally the food is very heavy, but it is truly comforting. read more

Bougie bagel places are the worst. Ordered two bagels with plain cream cheese. "We don't toast because our bagels are freshly made." First bougie bagel store red flag, they always act like they're too good for the toaster, but okay Ill play along. "That'll be 18 dollars and it will be ready in 10 minutes." Second red flag. Might've been the best thing I had during my recent trip to NY. We ordered the pastrami egg and cheese and the Sephardi wrap, my goodness. Both were amazing. The pastrami was thick and juicy, the eggs were probably the fluffiest and tastiest eggs I've ever had, and the dough used for the Sephardi wrap was chef's kiss. The only downside is there is no where to sit and eat comfortably but that's a minor issue when the food tastes this good. Service was friendly as well. read more

I have to agree that the bagels here are not very good - I got the BEC&L (bacon egg cheese & latke) and while I love the idea of an everything bagel with chili, you can't really taste it and the bagel itself is very dry. The Sephardi Breakfast Wrap is definitely what you should get instead. The malawach is perfectly flaky and chewy, and the chicken sausage is delicious. I also love the Harif hot sauce, which I would get over their Zhug as I've definitely had better elsewhere. The cheese fries are also really good, as well as their cold brew. read more

When we got to the sister location, no one even wanted to look in our direction. When someone finally did we were told oh we're not doing carry out here that's our other store.
