Went this afternoon with my mom to visit Edmund's host in the park box area. This area is off of King Street near the industrial/packing district of North Charleston today. I had the cordial offering stout at 10% ABV in an 8 ounce class and my mom had the sour guava tangerine. The brewery itself has a very long bar. I'm gonna say about 20 or so seats around the sea shaped bar. They do offer cocktails I think they have about six on their cocktail menu. They have merchandise in the corner. They have oodles of options of seating indoors, along with some seating outdoors as well. I highly recommend coming here if you're in the North Charleston/Charleston area. It is such a great vibe and the music is also very good. Apart from that, our bartender is great. He let me know what beers have dairy in them and what are shared in the same bat when they make their beer, however, number two is does not have dairy and it's not in the same bat as a beer item that has dairy, which is greatly appreciated. We were pleasantly delighted with the EO setting, service, and offerings. We ate outside, in a large enclosed courtyard. Service was prompt, the apps we ordered were typical pub fare, and the vibe was convivial. The only mistake I made was not ordering a flight, as I'd of liked to sample more of EO's offerings. We stopped by after work for a coworker gathering and no where beats this spot for that purpose. It has a great outdoor atmosphere with big tables and is an easy spot to stand too. They have great beer and lots of other drinks and snacks. Also it's pretty centrally located so it's convenient for coworkers from all over Charleston county. read more

The fiancé had a beer from Edmund's Oast and liked it so much that we decided to come to the brewery. This brewery has great style and taste, especially their stouts. This brewery is industrial and spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. We came in during the afternoon on a weekday, so it was pretty quiet but I imagine this place is busy on weekends with big groups. For a snack, we ordered the Korean Corn Cheese Fritter ($13). These were stuffed with mozzarella cheese and topped with some Flamin' Hot Cheetos dust, which were delicious. They are decadent, so best to share. This is not my favorite edmunds oast. We brought our dog so along with many families we sat outside eating at a picnic table. So you stand in line, order yourself - if you get a drink you stand to the right and wait til someone brings it after 5 minutes, if you order food, you get a puck so when it goes off you go get your food. You also get your own utensils and put away your plates. Asking for a tip starting at 20 percent is ridiculous. On to the food, the Cuban was decent, my burger had a grease sheen to it so not like the other EO- unremarkable tots. read more

Brewery stop on my trip to Charleston, wanted to try this place because they had multiple sours. The sours were okay, not my favorite as they were super sour and lacked a flavor profile. My group agreed that the Apple Cider Doughnut beer was something special! I also loved the "Hatch" beer, the pepper flavor was unique. Great beer in a great, chill setting. Went with a flight of Something Cold (blonde ale), Charsenal (cask conditioned golden ale), Little Russet Feller (brown ale- great name!), and The Innkeeper (Irish stout). All were very good. My favorite was the brown ale. The setting is in a seemingly newer development with other restaurants and businesses. There is a large open area for all to use. I'd guess this place is hopping on a Friday or Saturday night. You can order beer and food either at a table, at an outside bar, or inside. You bus your own dishes. I attended the Bricks and Brews event at Edmund's Oast Brewing company tonight and I have to say I'm blown away. With the pricing of food and drinks and the quality and overall experience I had there, it felt like I had robbed the place when I left. Beyond the event, the beers were so affordable and came in such a large glass. And a huge selection of every beer imaginable! The food was such a big portion for such a good price. Staff was so kind and took the time to talk to us and give us the in and outs of everything and make conversation. I don't come here often and I have to say I was impressed with the taste of everything tonight combined with the fun, relaxed atmosphere inside. Don't think twice about coming here! read more

Stay with me on this one it's going to be a little long but worth the read..... This was my first time at EOB, and I will definitely be coming back. The beers (I had the kolsch) other members of the party had the Country Lager, and Bound by Time IPA all were fantastic selections and reasonably priced. I am not by any means a beer expert/snob but these were definitely some of the most enjoyable "brewery" beers I have had anywhere. We were a party of 5 with two kids and the place is totally accessible and family friendly. Clean inside seating area and restrooms. The kids meals were great and prepared with the same care as the rest of the apps and entrees we had. Our server was on point and exceptionally attentive and friendly. We shared the pork rinds and fried mushrooms. The rinds could have been better if they were fried to order but these were serviceable, seasoned with a nice hint of heat and saltiness. Perfect for cold beer. Could have been freshly prepared though as they were not hot or popping at all. The mushrooms were simply amazing. Really lightly coated and had a slightly spicy gravy to dip in. These were definitely the favorite of the two apps we sampled. For mains I had the torta which was stuffed with a wonderfully flavorful pork carnitas and smothered in a great chili verde sauce. I really enjoyed it. The other mains were the roast beef & cheddar sando which was fine but not extraordinary. Sounds better on the menu than it played out. But the biggest shocker of all the entrees was the Frascatelli pasta dish. I don't say this lightly but it was easily one of the best pasta dishes I have tasted in a long time. Pasta was cooked perfectly and they are like a smaller version of a gnocchi or spaetzle, pillowy soft with just a slight gentle chew. The sauce was amazing with the spicy notes from the chorizo, sweet from the onion/garlic, slight bitterness from the kale and creaminess of the cotija cheese. I tasted it and immediately remarked I'd be coming back just for that dish. No joke an amazing pasta dish at this brewery, literally shocked the hell out of me. It was right up there with the other Italian/pasta institutions in the area. The portion size on all entrees and apps was perfectly ideal. I won't forget that damn pasta dish though. Definitely try it for yourself and I am sure you will enjoy it! All in all it was a great dining experience with family and friends , and we will definitely be making a return visit soon. Edmund's Oast was a perfect happy-hour stop for my partner and I before dinner in Charleston. As a couple visiting from out-of-town, we were on the hunt for a laid-back spot to spend a few hours. I enjoyed a frozen rosé (frozé!), while my boyfriend sipped a cranberry sour ale. Both drinks were great. We had a few different servers, who were all lovely. The Chinese Chicken Salad is so good. The peanut dressing is actually on the lighter side and not so heavy. I'll come weekly to enjoy this delicious salad and the superb servers and atmosphere. Edmund's Oast has a full food menu in addition to great beers. They have a big outdoor area, but it is also very popular, so get there early to claim your table. The day we were at Edmund's they were hosting a private event inside, so only outdoor seating was available. You can order drinks and food from the podium out front or via the QR code on your table. The Baked Italian sandwich is great and it is huge, plenty for two people. The Pimento Cheese is good and comes with veggies and crackers to put the cheese on. The wings are pretty classic. All of the beers we ordered were great. They don't get particularly "weird" with their beers, here. And, they have a pretty stellar selection. read more

I selected Edmund's Oast because I wanted a meetup spot with beer and food, choosing this one over others thanks to their 4pm to 5pm "Power Hour" where everything is half off. I like discounts! I arrived just after 4pm and after finding a table with nearby power outlets, I ordered a beer and a bowl of their boiled peanuts. The beer? A fabulous "Four Elements," an APA that was snappy and cold and a bit poundable. The peanuts? Spicy with pieces of sausage. Easy to peel and eat, only slightly messy. Great snacks while I waited for my party to form up. Just before 5pm, I ordered a "Supreme" pizza that didn't take long to arrive. Red peppers, onions, olives, mushrooms and sausage. Absolutely delicious and now I've had pizza two days in a row! This is a fun venue with seating inside and out. Easy to move tables makes it possible to set up for bigger parties. Edmund Oast is a place for friends. This is where you want to go when you have a large group, great weather, and you want to relax with no rush. I had never been to this location and was thrilled that the parking was super easy. It is located in a small mixed-used commercial zone which appeared primarily to be offices and restaurants. Edmund Oast has a large patio with various size seating. Inside was quite large too. I came here with a group of people so we all sat outside. The environment is friendly - kids, dogs, families, co-workers - it was a great dynamic. Lines would quickly form for drinks and then just as quickly die down. The drinks were solid. I think Edmund Oast is more known for its beer but they offer good cocktails. Nothing I would seek out though. The food was also good - the pizza was a delight! This is still a part of the Edmund Oast family, but a very different restaurant. This is located in the workshop area, a fun, hangout place. There's a large patio area that is shared, so you can get your food and drinks and sit outside. A great family experience with kids playing games on the turf, while everyone from young college kids to retirees, enjoying the community style dining. Edmunds does have its indoor dining. The food is very casual, unlike the main restaurant. There are nachos, different kinds of sandwiches, pizzas and salads. I had the flounder sandwich which was amazing. It is not served with a side, so you can order the sides à la cart. I also had a delicious mocktail, a hibiscus tea with ginger. Yum. This is really a place where the atmosphere is everything. People are having fun, it's loud, and there is plenty of drinking. I don't drink alcohol, but it seems that the original drinks are a key player. Everyone is having a good time. I'm long overdue on this one because I went a while back and forgot to share my review. I was always a fan of the OG EO so I had been looking forward to checking out their more casual, pizza tossing, sister restaurant and brewery for a while. I stopped in around happy hour one day after work on a beautiful day. We sat on the patio which filled up super quick once 5pm hit. If I recall, what brought me in was the peach and ricotta pizza they were promoting over the summer. We ordered that and a margherita pizza because that's always a good baseline. Both of the pizzas were excellent. I didn't love peaches on a pizza as much as I thought I would, but it still had a really unique flavor profile with the salty meat, sweet peaches, and creamy ricotta. The margherita was fantastic and I would definitely order that again along with a fun pizza on the side. The showstopper was this salad we had. I'm sure it was seasonal, but I hope to see it on the menu again. It might have been the Vietnamese salad or Thai salad... I forget. It was like half a head of lettuce with all sorts of tasty toppings. This is definitely a fun happy hour atmosphere out on the patio drinking great beers and eating perfect pizzas. read more

What an awesome brewery! This little area has so much to offer and Edmund's is essential. They have about 20 beers on tap with plenty more in cans. A full menu offering something for everyone AND a great happy hour. Half off drafts and several food items too. The beer is always great and funky and interesting and fun. There's something for ever beer lover or even not beer lovers. They have something for you too. The best part about my last visit was the bartender Joey. He was SO personable and just the greatest display of inviting service. He let us try lots of beer and had great suggestions for our descriptions of what type of beer we enjoyed. Edmunds Oast Brewing has been a long time favorite for us. We recently brought out of town guests and it was very disappointing! I had talked up the pizza and nachos, not knowing the whole menu had changed (no more pizza or nachos- which had been the best I'd ever had!) I can get behind change but the new menu was simply not good. The pork lettuce wraps came with flimsy lettuce and almost no meat- 3 pieces of straggly pork strips. The burgers were very underwhelming- small and thrown in a basket with not so much as a pickle, chips, nothing. The cauliflower with mole sauce tasted good, but the presentation was so bad no one really wanted to eat it. The falafel sandwich was ok, but again nothing special. This is the undisputed gold standard for craft brewing. Half my beer fridge is composed of a variety of Edmond's Oast pints. Being able to drink pitchers of my favorite beers while enjoying the atmosphere of the large courtyard makes this one of my favorite spots in town. Very casual and kid friendly. The menu has a ton of great options and I had the very spicy Carolina reaper pizza. It's delicious but not for the weak. My wife had the margarita and it was perfect. read more

Atmosphere would be great for a large party or even a small party. There's lots of space indoors and out. It's great for beers but the food is hit or miss. My burger was good, but we were a little disappointed with the Korean meatball bowl. The meatball was a little mushier than we're used to and I don't remember there being much flavor. This rating is strictly based on the Edmund's Italian Sub. If compared to Jersey Mike's, Jimmy John's and perhaps Publix, it would finish dead last and at best 6". I would guess only 2-3 pieces of meat, the special sub sauce is Italian dressing and the roll makes up 90% of the sub. How about adding some meat in the future. Very disappointing! read more

Our favorite brewery in Charleston hands down! Read the reviews, made sure we had our walking shoes on and decided to go for it. It was quite the hike from downtownCharleston but we knew we had to get some calories burned before indulging in some good beer. The day was perfect, 70s and a perfect breeze. Once again, southern hospitality greeted us and poured goodness into our glasses. Really good quality beer, lots of thought goes into their brews you can tell. We had a great time here. Learned they have a kitchen so we absolutely wanted to give their imported pizza oven a try. Came back the next day for pizza and beer for lunch. All great, no complaints.
