I so wanted to like this place! Great entertainment, LA Blue was playing but food and food service was so disappointing.. The manager, Nicole was amazing! Friendly, hospitality and accommodating. Waitress came by every 45 mins or so, didn't know the menu, would go ask kitchen and took forever to come back. My friend saw waitress in the bathroom and leave without washing her hands. When the bill came, it was all wrong.. so disappointed because this is a really nice place..

Hubby and I came to the Bodega Bar & Grill to grab a drink and to just whine down from a day full of errands. When we arrived, we were able to sit at the bar top right away. They had the game playing so my hubby was happy about that. The bartender was very nice and attentive. I ordered a martini and hubby got a mojito. The drinks were delicious and they definitely hit the spot. Very much needed! It wasn't too loud at the bar, we were able to have conversations and hear each other fine.

The music at Bodega was so fun on a Thursday night. And they have all day happy hour, how can you beat that! My friend really loved the Margarita. The servers were so nice, Happy Birthday Erica!! We did not have any food.

    Bad attitude, rudeness

I usually don't do bad reviews unless I had a very BAD experience usually go to 3 vinos or bodega and every time I go there, the employees, manager know me, cause I'm I regular guy and treat people with respect. Let's go to the point, Well.. last night Sunday march 30 the place was full, I usually go there around 10 or 11 pm I decided to order some drinks for myself and a friend of mine and all of the sudden this guy (bartender) started to yell at me, in a very bad attitude and this is not the first time ( a friend of mine had a bad experience with the same guy ) He should treat people with respect that's all I have to say .. I told the other bartender ( girl) is he crazy? drunk or on drugs because his rudeness speak for himself .. The manager or person in charge should correct this kind of behavior! To the owner of bodega/3 vinos covina i love the place and the rest of the crew, they always have been so nice to all of us!

Poor service, food served cold & overcooked, ambience 3/10 Host had no knowledge of the establishment when asked (I don't know) *giggle was her response. Food orders were being served to the wrong tables, our server kept forgetting many items asked for (water, untensils, napkins, straws, food container. Employee walking in sandals Our server even mentioned his concern about the disorganization going on. Terrible!!

Don't sleep on this place fam! It's a hidden gem in Covina they are known for their ales and laggers every Tuesdays they have a burgers special which was super cool 10 plus dollars will get you a burger meal and a beer! When my wife and I went it was super slow but the environment was super laid back. The servers were super friendly and they offered us 3 free samples of tastings which was cool! The taste of the food was great as well! Their l fries bomb! The burger hit the spot ! Parking on the weekday shouldn't be an issue. Price is super reasonable ! Overall 2 thumbs up! Check them out

Our server took our drink order and food order within minutes and we watched a game while waiting for our food. My son ordered the Edna Vee burger with tots and mac n cheese. He loved the burger and tots and said the mac n cheese was alright. I ordered the Cesar salad wrap with tots and I thought it was great! My only complaint was the chicken portion to salad was a little slim but, the crispy tots made up for it. The star of the show was the bread pudding! I'm not a huge fan of soggy bread but, this one was perfect. It had candied walnuts, caramel, vanilla ice cream and apples. Probably some of the best bread pudding I've had. Since we were starving, I didn't get food pics but, I would absolutely recommend dining here for a good time and good food.

About 4 TVs and they had different sporting events showing Service- this is where it started to go south. Your front of the house and those few minutes that a new customer has is crucial. Not very friendly and not really acknowledging the people that were standing waiting to be seated. Finally got a table, gave us menus and then 15 minutes go by and they haven't taken our order for drinks. As I look around there were 4 tables that had been seated, as well and no drink orders. We all waited about the same amount of time to get our drink orders. This unfortunately is why i took off 2 stars. To me, this unacceptable. After being seated and food came out, no one checked in until I needed a box and to pay. Did not feel welcomed and /or appreciated that I was supporting a small local business. Food- Brisket without the BBQ didn't have enough flavor. These types of meat don't need a hype man- the BBQ sauce. They need to be good on their own. Buuut Meat was tender. I read that their sausage is not great it's quite dry so I skipped it, my son had ordered ribs so I was going to steal from him, so I decided to get chicken- dark meat options. Chicken was very tasty, juicy and tender. It was the star of the dinner plate!!! Whaat!!! Their coleslaw- loved how everything was chopped nice and consistent- loved the Julienned green apples- again missing seasoning. DINNER ROLLS- Soooo fucken dry and not warmed up. I expect that level of hardness on my rolls when they are about to expire. Warm them up put them in a basket and give me butter. Such a small - perhaps minute action- but it was a huge miss. Other patrons were also commenting how bad the rolls were. We even joked, "death by dinner roll! " LOL. Cornbread- small portion but packed with flavor. I would say ease up on the Honey. I want to taste the corn bread too. It's unfortunate, I didn't have the experience others have had. Most likely not going to add it to my new restaurant rotation. There are other better options with better customer service.

As I pulled up to the parking lot, I noticed they had an outdoor seating area, which is really nice on hot days. It looked like a great spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a drink in the evening. When I went inside, I immediately liked the camping and outdoor vibes. The whole place has that rustic, lodge-style feel that makes it stand out. They had a bunch of pinball machines, which was a fun surprise, and there were murals all around the walls -- including ones of Lakers legend Kobe and the LA Dodgers. It definitely gives off strong local pride and a laid-back atmosphere. The inside is very spacious, with plenty of room to move around and a lot of TV screens, making it a solid spot to catch a game. I could easily see myself coming back to watch a Dodgers game there. That said, my experience at the bar wasn't the best. When I stepped into line to order, it seemed like the two beertenders were a bit distracted. There was a group of ladies sitting at the bar, and it felt like they were getting most of the attention. Usually, beertenders are welcoming and might ask something like, "Is this your first time here?" but the guy with the long mustache who served me gave off more of a "What do you want?" vibe. I asked for a taster, and he did provide one, but I didn't feel comfortable enough to ask to try anything else. At other breweries, I usually feel encouraged to explore the menu a bit more. Instead, I just winged it and ordered the Pink Lemonade Seltzer. It was okay, but compared to a lot of seltzers out there now, it wasn't very flavorful. It almost had a slight medicine-like taste. Because I didn't really feel the love from the beertenders, I ended up having just one drink and heading out. The space itself has a lot going for it -- great theme, fun games, plenty of TVs, and nice outdoor seating -- but I definitely think there's room for improvement in the customer service department. I might give it another try in the future, especially to catch a Dodgers game, but I'm hoping for a warmer, more welcoming experience next time.

I've come here several times over the past couple years and it's more and more dead at the restaurant every time. The waitresses are absolutely dreadful. Every request is forgotten or takes 20 mins to arrive at the table. When we arrived we waited 20 mins for a waitress. We asked for some sauce, they forgot. We ordered a pizza, which was delivered to the wrong table. When we wanted to leave, the check took 20 mins as well. Now I have a crying baby and I'm waiting for them to try and split the check two ways and I eventually give up knowing that the task is too much for them to handle and just pay it all on one card. We had to track down the waitresses multiple times. It's like they have NO ability to anticipate the needs of their customers. "They ordered, pizza, maybe I should bring some plates". Nope! "They'll probably want their sauce before the food item is ICE COLD". Nope! Anytime we went into the restaurant the girls were on their phones. There were five tables in the restaurant tonight so there really was no excuse. I think this will be the last time I ever go to this restaurant. Unfortunately, the reputation of the old Congregation Ale House kept me coming back even when time after time, the service was abysmal, however, now that Congregation's former glory is thoroughly tarnished I can honestly say that I will not be coming back and I encourage everyone else to do the same. Quality like this cannot be tolerated. Travis, the former owner, would be ashamed of this fall from grace. R.I.P. Congregation Ale House

All the food was nice and fresh, but my only complaint is almost everything had some kind of sweet sauce on it: grilled rice cakes, grilled quail eggs, grilled chicken skin (that we don't remember ordering but the waitress insisted we did; we never got to see our order forms again), tornado potatoes, peeled and whole shrimp on a stick, pork belly on a stick, chicken thigh on a stick, etc. It didn't taste bad, but it was a flavor you could get tired of. The only thing that wasn't really sweet was probably the wings and my nieces tonkatsu hot pot. When the waitress said she brought everything out, we were still missing three items that we had to ask for. No big deal. We'd definitely be back, especially for the happy hour menu.
