Cream filled and Homer Simpson sprinkles
    Stefan T.

Fresh and delicious donuts. Unusual cream filling - very light. Large and beautiful traditional donuts. Donuts were very fresh this morning. Neighbor next door gifted me a bunch - and even in the evening when I had another - they were still great. I'm not the biggest fan of Krispy Cream - too gummy. They are easily available - now even at Walmart - but I much prefer the more traditional type they sell here. I was in the mood for some donuts this morning and I remember even looking up different places nearby. I didn't go to my usual place today in Castro Valley because my apple fritter wasn't fresh the last time I went. Just the way things turn out an unusual turn of events this beautiful donut box ended up in my hands. So sweet Some bars, some twists, some glazed, some chocolate covered and a couple filled. Something for everybody - one plain and even one Homer Simpson sprinkle type. Unusual cream filling. I've never had this type of cream filling in a donut before. Its very light and I'm not exactly sure what it was or what it was made of. Not the biggest fan - but I didn't dislike it either. Donut bars were filled with a slit in the top instead of the more traditional injection through the side. The glaze on the tops of the donuts was beautifully done. Donuts were fresh - I think there might always be that temptation to keep certain ones around a second day - especially ones that hold up well - like apple fritters or old fashioned. I didn't try any of those here, but have no reason to believe they would cut corners. I noticed that the cooking oil also must have been very new - a super clean flavor. I think donuts are a very subjective thing. You are most likely to like exactly what your used to. I would love to try more items on the menu and will be back.

    Roach in Thai tea
    Olivia D.

Sipping on my "Thai tea" I just bought from them as I'm reading the reviews for this place. Bugs? Let me check my drink. Bam, there it was. Well, damn. Thai tea - doesn't even taste like a Thai tea and found a roach in it. Hot coffee - more like scalding hot coffee. Been holding it for 15 mins and can't even drink it (let alone hold it) Pastrami sandwich - not even gonna eat it at this point BLT - not gonna eat this either. Asked them to not put sprouts cuz photo on the menu advertised it. " oh we never have sprouts. Sandwich never looks like photo." Oh ok. False advertisement cuz I wanted sprouts on the pastrami sandwich. All items (chips and beverages) on display were expired. $28 well spent on trash.

DoorDash Price w/ tax With Turkey Breakfast Sandwich Still under $30
    Anita T.

Avoid buying food from here because they will price gouge you. I sent my husband in to buy 3 sandwiches and a custard filled donut and somehow the total came out to be $30. He went back in to ask how was all of this equate to a total of $30?!? They said their prices just recently went up by a dollar. I wanted their Turkey lunch sandwich again because we ordered it from them just a few weeks ago for the first time and it tasted good. However, this time will be our last time going there... and they got my order wrong this time too. They gave me a breakfast Turkey sandwich and somehow still charge us $30 for everything. On DoorDash if you order for pick up with tax it came out to be a total of $26 with the Turkey breakfast sandwich and $27 with the lunch Turkey Sandwich. So obviously they put whatever price they want when a customer comes in to order. Not a good business ethics at all.

    a bag of donuts

The food is fine but the customer service is horrible. I walk in and the guy looks at me and doesn't say hi doesn't smile just stands at the register staring at me. I let him know I placed my order on door dash and give him my name and he asked to see the door Dash receipt. When I show it to him he says he needs to see my name which door dash doesn't put. I'm the only order waiting and he just keeps pushing and insisting that he needs to see my name in the door Dash app. Finally he gives me my food and walks away. There are so many donut and bagel places, I will never come back.

What I got Ham, Egg and Cheese Sandwich

Wanted to try something new for breakfast. What I got was not at all what I was expecting. Never ordering from here again. I could've made this sand which myself at home for less than two dollars!!

Pastrami sandwich with avocado and jalapeños. I get extra pastrami. Absolutely finger licking delicious.

Unfortunately, the customer service has been consistently disappointing. This isn't based on one bad experience--the cashier is rude and unfriendly every single time I visit. As a regular customer, it's discouraging to be greeted with the same cold attitude every visit. A simple smile, greeting, or friendly attitude would make a huge difference. If the customer service matched the quality of the donuts, this would easily be a 5-star review. Great food deserves great customer service, and right now the two just don't match.

Solid donut shop!…read more We were in the area for a softball game and wanted to get the team some donuts before the game. Stumbled upon World's Fare Donuts and knew it was the spot to be at as soon as we walked in, saw a long line, every table was taken with people enjoying coffee, donuts and doing their lotto scratchers. Line moved quickly, but you definitely felt the pressure to know what you wanted when it was your turn. Prices are a bit cheaper than most donut shops in the bay area. While we only tried a Maple Bar, Raised Crumb and 3 dozen donut holes (under $10), I wanted to try so many of the other flavors. The Maple bar wasn't your traditional light brown color, it was more yellow which threw us off. The raised crumb had more flavor than other places that I've tried. Great consistency and fluff in the donuts. It appears they have a lot of self serve coffee options and a full wall of lotto scratchers. My in-laws would love it here since this is their thing.

The malasadas were definitely good. It feels like care went into each one--they tasted all homemade and fresh. They definitely did not skimp out on cream or filling. I'm typically not a fan of desserts, but these had the perfect level of sweetness for me. The fruits were nice and ripe as well. The two flavors I got were the blueberry matcha and the mango. The blueberry matcha had this nice rich blueberry jam mixed in with cream that actually has a good matcha taste. The mango one was really fresh--this one was my favorite. Although they aren't cheap at about $6.25 per one, they were definitely delicious. It seems like a family run business that puts a lot of care into their products though. I'll be returning but maybe more as a nice treat rather than a regular go-to.

There were a few people in line and it did take about 10 minutes before we were able to order. During that time, some of the malasada flavors ran out, but they were quickly replenished. We grabbed an assortment of flavors, an iced oat latte, and a black sesame latte. The banana creme brulee malasada looked so good that we had to try it in the store while waiting for our drinks. The dough is so soft and pillowy with a crispy layer of bruleed sugar and a delicious banana cream that was absolutely to die for. At $6.50, it's not a cheap treat, but it was super delicious and I'm glad we tried it. The drinks were also great. The espresso shot they pulled perfectly complemented the oat milk -- this is one of the better iced oat lattes I've had. We tried the black sesame latte because it sounded interesting and it was so creamy and loaded with black sesame flavor. For anyone that doesn't drink caffeine, I highly recommend you try the black sesame latte. With such great quality malasadas and drinks, it's no wonder there was a line! We'll definitely be back!

However, the taste was a little disappointing. I do like a fluffly, textured donut, however, these are served cold and very sweet. But both were too sweet for my taste. I can't say that I'd be back, but if you're looking for something unique, I think you'd enjoy this little shop. They also sell croissants, more savory treats, and coffee!

When the opportunity presented itself, I came by today for the first time. The decor was mediocre but I was here for a take out order so my review will be strictly on the taste of the mochi donut itself. Mochi donut (Macha & Strawberry flavored) - 5 out of 5 They were fluffy and chewy in texture. Compared to your regular donut, it's just a different style of donut altogether. There is not actual mochi in the donut itself just a mental note. The sweetness wasn't overpowering which I liked and they're extremely fresh. Compared to the ones they offer in Osaka Marketplace, this one blows them out of the park. For any type of donuts, I general look for two things: 1. Are they fresh (if they aren't, you can generally tell from the dough being tougher if no other additives are placed in the dough) 2. The sugar toppings (If they place a heavier emphasis on sugar, I usually stay away since I'm more focused on the flavor instead) Service - 3 out of 5 The lady over the counter was a bit slow. She was on the phone when I came in and it took her about 10 minutes to finish her conversation before she was able to get to us. I think it was a phone order? It looked like she's the only person taking orders since the other workers saw us but kept on doing whatever they were doing. If you don't mind waiting a little like myself, it's a definite must try if you enjoy a chewier textured type of dough in your donuts or would just like to give a new type of donut a try. I don't usually judge too hard on the service staff in places like these since they're mostly mom and pop owned. Understand that when we come, they're just trying to do their best with what they've got is all we can ask for. Ultimately, the food takes home the win and Mochinut here did exactly that for me. They seemed to be Vietnamese owned since they sell other Vietnamese items here as well so keep that in mind. I'll definitely keep this place in mind when I'm feeling like a mochi donut again in the future!
