What a great representation of the local culture! Now, I am always 100% percent honest with my reviews. I have to admit this restaurants puts effort in every single way. The service was superb! Very friendly! its what you call true southern hospitality from beginning to end. The fish sandwich and onions rings were fresh and delish perfectly battered! The fried chicken was crispy and moist I wish it had a bit more seasoning but if you use a sauce with it then you golden. The chicken included 3 sides: I had the pickle beets, just ok. Then the macaroni salad which is not my favorite side dish and will probably never order again. The mac and cheese was not as great either but if u hungry it does the job. Since I love to fish nearby, I will be trying all the sides and other dishes little by little and i will keep posting My thought on them. My absolute favorite so far were the onion rings.

Fried chicken livers, pinto beans, whole kernel corn, whipped potatoes with brown gravy, and rolls. Great food at a great price!

In the middle of Chatsworth is a small family run restaurant that gives you more bang for the buck than most. Meat/ and 3 for under $8.00! The food was good, served pretty quick and the servers work hard to take care of everyone. This is where the locals bring their families to eat. There is a certain "kindness" that the patrons show each other. A head nod, a smile, or a few brief words exchanged. This restaurant, the workers and patrons leave you with a genuine good feeling about your experience here. I highly recommend this place when you're in the area.

This place has a few things going for it that makes me want to return Fried chicken daily and it's so good! The crust was so good and there are other meat and 3 places around that only do chicken once a week. It's nice to know they have items you can get any day The pintos and green beans were ok but the mash potatoes were instant. That was a turn off So the desserts we ordered a apple caramel pie that was ok but took home the peanut butter pie and it was the best peanut butter pie I've ever eaten. It was so well made and had a huge meringue on it. I can still taste that pie and swear I've dreamed about since I will have be having that again

Looking for some food because we were starving - passing through the town. Saw the sign ( they are RIGHT ON the road ) and stopped. Older diner type of place. If you are looking for a pretty, modern building, this isn't it. This looks like a hard working staff if trying to keep a business alive without all the bells and whistles. I liked it alot. It's simple. Super friendly staff, very attentive. Didn't know what to expect, food wise. But we were not disappointed. Excellent food. Obviously made to order. Comfort food. The fries were seasoned just right too. Sweet tea was exactly what I needed. The hushpuppies were excellent. I definitely see why a bunch of locals were there that afternoon. I would recommend this place.

We were heading home from Fort Mountain State Park and found this restaurant on Yelp. The food is EXCELLENT- especially the fried chicken. The whipped potatoes and corn nuggets were especially good - but leave room for dessert because there is homemade pie! The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, the restaurant is clean and an easy find right on the highway. This place is filled with locals but definitely worth the stop for folks traveling through.

My favorite restaurant in the area and I make it a point to eat here when i come home. The fried chicken is tender, juicy, and delicious! The peanut butter pie is a must try. The food isn't fancy and some of the items aren't made from scratch, but it's just like the meals at my grandparents growing up.

Good place for reasonable meal that is quick and very southern. I had fried chicken and others had vegetable plates. Very traditional.

We started our breakfast with a hot Wildflower Mocha and a Mocha Latte. The Mocha Latte was…read moreoutstanding....rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. I wanted to try their pancakes but didn't want a full stack, and our server Robin was wonderful in recommending the Sweet Start. One thing we really appreciated is that all breakfast entrees include coffee or tea, and the prices are already very reasonable. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that even though we ordered specialty coffees, we could still enjoy complimentary refills of regular coffee. The restaurant has a charming and unique atmosphere, with every table looking a little different from the next. For my meal, I ordered the Sweet Start, which included one pancake, eggs, and bacon. I also appreciated the transparency from the staff. When I asked for an extra serving of their homemade pecan butter, I was informed upfront that there would be an additional charge....a level of honesty that's surprisingly rare these days. My husband ordered the Banana Nut French Toast comes with homemade whipped cream and homemade pecan butter, which also came with bacon. He added a side of eggs as well. Everything was delicious. I'm especially particular about pancakes, and I can honestly say they serve some of the best pancakes I've had. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive, and what stood out most was how genuinely happy all the staff seemed to be. It created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made our visit even more enjoyable. We would definitely return the next time we're in the area.

Staff are super friendly. This place is always packed, but the wait has never been terribly long…read more Not many lunch options for a vegetarian. Their choice and their right. We perused what items we could eat - yikes if only they offered black bean patties as a substitute. We then checked their health department ratings (available on their Yelp page) and decided not to eat there. We hope their health department issues get resolved, and that their ratings climb up significantly!
