It's a small strip mall off 63rd. You can easily miss it. We were greeted ASAP right when we walked in. The restaurant was empty except for 2 other parties (which left a few minutes after we arrived) . We had the room to ourselves I had the lamb burger (Eds Special). It was good; I liked the sweet taste. I wish it came with fries, but those cost additional $. The Copper Can mule drinks are descent. It's very open, but also dark inside.

Saw this place riding by, looked at the reviews quickly and stopped by. I ordered online to save 10%. It's a pick up and go spot however, open kitchen concept. It looked clean and well stocked. Was able to meet and speak with the Ed, the owner himself. Him and his staff were very pleasant. For extremely delicious and quality food..it was a quick and efficient process! We tasted it in the car and ordered a duplicate to let our adult children taste. It was that delicious. Ed and his staff thought we made a double order in error and came to speak with us. That was top tier customer service!!! The cost is a bit higher than I'd pay to not have a dine in experience however, it was worth every penny, nickel, dime, and dollar! Meat was perfect seasoned and cooked, rice was fluffy and seasoned and salad was very fresh!!!

11/9/25 update: We decided to do a takeout for lunch. We got the kharcho medium size, chicken kebab plate, and lula kebab plate. Those plates are great for at least 2-3 meals. You get huge portions for your money. I loved the kharcho soup, it has lamb, rice garlic, and fresh greens. Next time, I'll have to order a large size. It's that good and it's not spicy. The chicken was very tender and succulent. The lula was savory and not overpowering. Don't sleep on that rice, the rice was one of the best things. I also got a free reusable bag. Very reasonable prices.

My husband & I love Ed's kitchen! Our favorite thing to get is the chicken kebab plate, chebureki, & kharcho soup! We are even thinking about catering from here in the future. The chicken is cooked perfectly every time. The rice is delicious as well as the chopped salad. You can tell how much the owner loves his restaurant, congrats on their renovation!

Was looking for a quick bite to grab with a friend of mine so decided to stop by Ed's Kitchen (which had fabulous reviews). It's a small Mediterranean joint with a few seats inside. The menu has a lot of options with wraps, plates, salads, drinks, and more!! The staff was very sweet and helped us decide what to get! We both ended up getting the chicken shawarma wrap! It was wrapped in a tortilla, instead of a pita. It was filled with juicy and tender chicken, fries, lettuce, pickles, garlic sauce, and a tomato sauce! The food was incredibly flavorful!! I also tried some of their falafel which was the best I've ever had!! Can't wait to go back and try the falafel wrap next time!! I've lived in the Naperville/Woodridge area for the last year and I never knew about this spot!! But now that I do, I'll be going back again for sure!!

Waited over 20 min for a wrap. Ordered no spice and it was so spicy I couldn't eat it. Aside from the spice it was a sloppy mess that fell apart. Take a look at the photo. I wouldn't feed this to my dog. These reviews must have been purchased because I wouldn't wish this food on my worst enemy.

This is the BEST mediterranean wraps I've ever had! I got the Chicken Shawarma Wrap, it's packed with flavor and the chicken is so tender and juicy. They've grilled the outside so the tortilla wrap is fresh and crispy. The combination of the pickle, fries, veggies, and sauce complement each other perfectly. The portions are pretty big as well, very filling! Definitely a new favorite I'll be coming back to in the future! Food: 10/10

I'm not sure how I've lived in the area for so long and never been to this place. We got a pretty good spread Saturday night and everything was top-notch. Kebab plates are enormous with a ton of variety. Big hunks of perfectly cooked chicken or steak over a fantastic plate of rice. Lentil soup was hearty, light, and flavorful at the same time, and the baklava is probably the best I've had. Everything we ordered was at or near the tip of my list. Nothing was remotely greasy (huge plus for my wife) - Everything tasted great while still feeling healthy. Best of both worlds read more

One of the most UNDERRATED place ever. My boyfriend introduced me and I'm hoping everyone in this area takes an afternoon to taste this place. From the intricacies of how this platter is set up, to the kindness that the owner displays, this place deserves all the rave reviews ever. The owner along with his staff are so passionate about how they set their meals up. The rice is so flavorful you definitely haven't tried anything else like it. I would give 5 stars if you didn't have to pay for any sauces on the side not even 1 sauce for a wrap. I ordered a Lula Kebab wrap and it was outstanding and huge! This could have been split into two separate meals but I was hungry! I also ordered a meat pie which was decent. I'll definitely order from here again to try the meals. Next time I will order directly from Ed's as it's cheaper than Grub Hub. Give this place a try as it's really good and you get a large portion! read more

Enjoyed the falafel plate. The falafel were crisp and I enjoyed the sesame seeds and spices. A generous portion. The carrot salad was not my yastd but the salad was crisp, the tula and chicken wraps my family had were also great. This place is definitely a take out space but there are a few bar stools to eat in. read more

We have been meaning to try this place for a while, and after a recommendation from someone at the gym, we gave it a whirl. First off, they have the COOLEST sign out front! The food was AMAZING! My kids got the gyro wraps (they add lettuce, fyi) and they were huge and full of delicious gyro meat! I got the chicken entree, which was two full meals for me! It had 4 boneless chicken thighs (which is a crazy deal for $12), and my wife got their falafel with a side of babaganoush. They were very flavorful. We capped it off with some baklava and that was also really good! HIGHLY recommend giving them a try. Mostly takeout- a couple counter seats only (which is fine by me, just fyi) and they close at 7pm. No pics of food, as we crushed it as soon as we got home... lol read more

I decided to stop in and try Ed's after passing by a few dozen times, The place does not look like much but once inside it smells fantastic. Ed cooks over a live wood charcoal fire everything was made fresh. I decided to try a wrap and some kabob dinners. We got the lamb and beef kabob with tomatoes and marinated onions It was big and full of flavor it was great with the homemade tomato sauce and garlic sauce. we also got a beef kabob dinner and a chicken kabob dinner there was enough food for 5 people. The meat was grilled perfectly nice big chunks of meat with a nice little char on the otuside juicy and tender on the inside. the rice and other acoutrements were great additions. I highly recomend the homemade tomato sauce, Garlic sauce and Tzatziki sauces there excellent. The falafel are some of the best i have ever had.....A Must read more

Was craving Mediterranean food and Ed's had the best reviews in the area. The chicken shawarma sandwich is very large and I was able to split one with my husband. I identified Ed's Kitchen through Yelp reviews as a good place to stop for lunch midway on a trip to Chicago. It's quickly reached as you travel on 355. Far from the a "hole in the wall" it's a 'hidden gem" and should be a go-to place for Woodridgers and travelers alike. I ordered the gyros and the lentil soup. First, the soup. What delicious umami flavors in every sip! The red lentils gave a lighter touch to what can sometimes be a bit heavy as far as lentil soups go. (I might suggest a splash of lemon juice to brighten the flavors even more.) Now to the gyros. First, the portion was so generous, I took half of it home to have for lunch tomorrow. Something to look forward to! As others have commented on the use of a tortilla instead of the traditional pita bread, I will say that I actually liked this take on a gyros, even though I'm more familiar with the traditional Greek gyros (and if you're ever in Chicago, check out Denjeos for an excellent one). But I always thought that the pita bread was too, well, bready and thick and usually ended up eating the fillings with a fork and just a bit of the pita. But with the tortilla, Ed is able to add a layer of crispiness (due to the thinness) that is not possible with a pita bread. It also has pickles, which I understand from a chat with Ed himself, is part of the Turkish tradition (I hope I got that right). And I'm a big fan of pickles. I did miss more of the sauce (tzatziki) that makes the Greek style of gyros, but Ed said that one can request a more traditional gyros "off the menu". I regret that I won't be going that way any time soon, as I would have liked to try more of the menu. But I'll leave that to Yelpers to discover and enjoy. read more

My wife and I were looking for a place to grab a quick bite on the way to the Cinemark theater in Woodridge this place had good reviews so we figured we'd give it a try and I've got to tell you that as a nice guy he makes great lentil soup and I love to shish kebab chicken it was a quick stop we called ahead and they have the food ready for us the food was delicious and will get that soup again I promise you this is an easy five star read more

Meet the Business Owner: Eduard G.

In the summer of 2016, Ed and his wife were expecting their third child, so Ed decided to give up the long-distance truck driving to focus and devote his time solely on cooking. This way, Ed could be closer and spend more with his family. Ed decided it was time for him to cook once again and as a result, took the first steps to open Ed's Kitchen. Ed discovered that his catering customers kept returning to enjoy his kebabs because of their consistent taste and flavors. Ed also learned from his father not to change the classics, but rather enjoy and experiment with different flavors. Therefore, Ed's kebabs have a consistent taste and flavor that causes his customers to return again and again.

Disappointing experience despite a fresh and new business relationship. We have used this catering…read morecompany for multiple corporate events and have spent considerable money with them. Historically, the food and service have been very good, which makes our experience with our most recent BBQ event particularly disappointing. The weather was questionable the morning of the event, so we understood the decision to precook the burgers and brats. However, the weather ultimately cooperated, and the event proceeded as planned. We specifically requested that we use at least one large gas grill we provided, even if only to keep the grill/char lines going, but that did not happen. The catering team arrived on time, but the setup was not completed as expected. Two chefs who had originally been scheduled to be onsite to cook the food ultimately spent much of the event standing around with very little involvement. More importantly, the food was served lukewarm to cold even though it arrived in hotboxes, and some food was undercooked/raw. The sternos were not lit until well after the food had been set up and less than 10 minutes before mealtime, which did little to address the temperature problem. For the price we paid, the quality of service and temperature of the food were simply not acceptable. I immediately raised my concerns with the event planner after the event. When I didn't receive a follow-up, I emailed to express our disappointment. To the event planner's credit, she responded and said the owner wanted to address the matter personally and would contact me after returning from out of town. That was over a month ago, and we have still received no communication. A coworker who also helps coordinate our company events separately contacted her point of contact at the company, but also received no response. What is most disappointing is not simply that one event did not meet expectations. We have been a significant repeat customer, and we expected our concerns to be acknowledged and addressed professionally. Instead, we received no follow-up at all. We have had good experiences with this caterer in the past, which is why this situation has been frustrating. Unfortunately, the combination of cold food, a lack of attention during the event, and zero follow-up afterward has made us decide to seek catering elsewhere for our corporate events.

Some of the guests and myself, set for six hours with our coats on. The restrooms were clean. The staff was prompt in services. They made sure the water containers on each table were always full, the coffee was hot, and there was hot water for tea, and a variety of refreshments. The staff made sure that the tables remained free of clutter. Occasionally, they walked around and collected what appeared to be garbage. This is a big glass building with several conference rooms. There were plenty of parking spaces with an outside patio.

Ed. Is an artist in the kitchen. He understands the principles of flavors and not overwhelming the palette. Letting the key ingredients shine. I had, the best, most succulent, perfectly cooked chicken I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Everything, from the pickled onions, the rice, the carrots was delicious. He uses a wood burning g to cook the meat, along with a marinade that is out of this world. Do yourself a favor. Stop in and eat here. You will not be disappointed. Today I ordered the Beef Kebab! The meat was so flavorful! Easy to cut perfect texture with the added flavor from the rice making a perfect combo! This is my 2nd time here and both times I personally spoke with Ed, he shows his dedication to making not only a perfect meal eveytime but EVERY-BITE to aim for perfection. Bottom Line: Family run, good food, pleasant experience, overall decent value…read more First time here. This Greek family-run diner/restaurant is not much to look at from the outside. You could drive right by thinking it was a vacant building except for all the cars in the lot. The notion of vacant building is dispelled immediately upon entry. The place is busy, loud, vibrant with customers clearly enjoying the food and experience. The interior is decorated simply, with muted colors, is well lit, and clean. There are a lot of hard surfaces which makes the ambient noise level fairly high; however, it did not detract from the experience (but just be advised in case you feel this is bothersome). We were greeted warmly and though the place was packed, we were seated quickly. Despite the diner-like vibe, there is no counter, just tables and booths. Our server was prompt, very pleasant, and efficient. The coffee was hot and flavorful. The food: Large portions, well prepared, warm, savory, satisfying. The loaded Cheers omelette, with hash browns and pancakes, was more food than I could enjoy in one sitting so I have leftovers for tomorrow. Prices are in line with more reasonably priced independent eateries. A two-egg, hash browns, pancake combo is $14. This place will be an option in the future.
