Hello - I had a wonderful experience working with Ed's Landscaping. Edward and his crew were wonderful to work with and very detail-oriented. the job turned out better than I expected and was done on time and on budget. Highly recommend.

We had a wooden deck but it was so worn down we stopped using it. Ed was working on another home down street when I became aquatinted with him. He came by and gave us a quote and some conceptual designs. He was easy to work with and extremely professional. In the process we got our front porch redone to match the back. We were happy to work with Ed and his team. We definitely recommend his business. Thanks Ed! We are excited to host some summer BBQ's on our new deck!

Work included a new deck, a shade structure, a new lawn, reworked irrigation, landscape lighting and, the final touch, string lights.

We solicited five bids for a backyard renovation that included, among many things, redoing a pool and deck, constructing a patio shade structure and shoring up a hill at the back of our property. Ed's estimate was not the lowest, but we were impressed with his responsiveness and willingness to talk things through. Ultimately, we went with him and we're glad we did. We had plans drawn up by a landscape architect and, working with those plans, Ed developed approaches and solutions that were sensible and, in some cases, even better than those proposed by the architect. Once Ed and his crew started, he was at the house every day to keep us apprised and oversee what was going on. The project was completed within about six weeks, which we didn't expect (we thought it would take much longer). We did suffer from a bit of "scope creep" (actually, a lot of scope creep) that eventually encompassed items, including the front yard, we didn't anticipate undertaking, but we're glad we did. If there is one thing to watch out for here: Ed is very gungho and will make suggestions, but make sure he doesn't start on them until he absolutely has your permission. In addition to doing such a nice job, Ed has been tremendous with the follow-up, continuing to check in to make sure everything is working out. We were so pleased with his work that we recently hired him for more - and this time we (and he) pretty much stuck to our budget.

I really appreciated how transparent they were the whole way through--no hidden surprises, just honest communication. The work was done in a timely manner, and my yard looks better than it ever has. You can tell the crew really cares about the quality of their work. If you're looking for someone reliable who actually delivers on what's promised, I'd 100% recommend Happy Days.

Toward the end of our project, we discovered that she does not, which raised serious concerns about the quality and legality of the work performed. Our experience with Happy Days Landscaping has been extremely disappointing. We initially left a positive review, but after ongoing issues, we had no choice but to retract it. She recommended decomposed granite (DG) for our front yard. We expressed concern about our front yards steep slope and our worries about the DG weathering away during rain fall. Hailey assured us it would not be a problem since she would be compacting the decomposed granite and she said they add a sealant to the material to make "like concrete"--but that proved to be incorrect. After the first rainfall, the decomposed granite began washing away. She attempted to fix the issue by applying the sealant and compacting the DG which she was supposed to apply initially, claiming it would solve the problem. The DG continues to erode to this day. Communication was horrible and accountability was nonexistent. We had to repeatedly chase her down for responses, and it was during this time that we learned she was not licensed. Only after confronting her about this, she finally started returning our calls and offered to address some of the problems. Unfortunately, the issues have only worsened. As the DG continues to wash away with each rainfall, the irrigation system she installed--made with cheap plastic hoses--has become exposed and damaged from the sun. There are now ruptures everywhere in the system making it useless and as a result, our plants are dying. We have started hand watering to attempt to save the plants. Overall, this has been a costly and frustrating experience, and I would strongly caution others to be thorough and do their due diligence before considering this company.

They definitely had experience and know-how about sprinklers and effectively repaired all of my broken pieces, along with providing grass-tips on how to revitalize and kick-start dead areas of grass. Two caveats: 1) Jim and Jill are typically booked because of how popular they are. So be ready to book them in advance for any projects. I wouldn't be so sure on securing them if something breaks and leaks while your sprinkler system is offline --call a 24hr service plumber instead. 2) Jim and Jill will give you verbal quote and it's an honest and trustworthy one. However you should probably treat this as an estimate, because during their repairs, they found a couple different problems with my sprinkler heads that they didn't anticipate and my price increased... just something to keep in mind; or get it in writing and have them sign that before they get to work, if you have a budget to keep. But it's not bad or anything-- they did a great job! - I'm giving an honest review, because most repair companies give a quote first in writing. Overall, I had a very nice experience with this Local couple 'Burbank Sprinklers'. They definitely know the neighborhood, know their sprinklers, and grass types. If you need your Sprinklers worked on, these guys are exactly what you need to get everything fixed! Not bad at all Burbank Sprinkler!
