Upon walking in, every stylist was already occupied except Sam. We were lucky to have caught him just returning from a break. My son is off to college soon and he wanted a new cut. We had an Asian fringe style in mind, with a photo on his cell, showed Sam what he wanted and the process started. First the hair wash, then to the haircut chair. Both processes were handled by Sam. Sam referenced the photo a few times and even asked questions during the cut to ensure my son wanted a certain side or sweep for his bangs. Very professional all throughout. Both of us were very happy with the results and we will be sure to return again for the next maintenance cut. I saw other customers getting color treatments and the results were fantastic. Will have to consider it for the rest of the family next time. I'm glad this place is in the neighborhood! (So maybe I won't have to go to Manhattan all the time).

You claim your team is 100% experienced, yet during my appointment, your staff admitted they had never done this type of work before. One even said they would like to practice on a mannequin, but was never able to so why was I being used for practice while paying for a professional service? That felt completely unfair. When I went to pay, I saw an online discount, but the staff denied it and said it was no longer valid, even though it was still being advertised. That felt dishonest. If the extensions were installed properly and tied tightly as you claim, why would I be missing so many strands when I removed them shortly after? They shouldn't have just fallen out if they were secure enough for daily wear. To make matters worse, I heard Jessica, the boss, instructing staff to work on trying to get their bad reviews removed. That speaks volumes about where their priorities really are. I hope future customers get the honest, professional service they're paying for.

Today I decided to try the head spa which they advertise in the front for $39 and also get my usual cut (straight, no layers, nothing fancy). It's a Monday around 1:30pm and it was empty so they took me in right away with no appointment. They said to do the spa first so I followed them to the basement which was a little sketch but I looked past it. There was a room with curtains and a bed with a sink which is where the service took place. This is definitely no frills and can use a good scrub down and some cleaner sheets and towels. However, the lady who performed the service knew what she was doing and did a great job. She washed and conditioned my hair, gave scalp, neck, shoulder, arms, legs massages. I really enjoyed the experience but the lack of cleanliness took off a star. Next was the haircut. I already got the head spa so my hair was already clean, it was literally just a basic cut and dry of my slightly below the shoulder length hair. I didn't get the lady's name but I think she's the owner. She was very detailed with the cut and took her time. The biggest turn off was at check out. When I asked how much the total was, another lady (3rd one I'm encountering) paused a bit and said $90. I was thinking in my head $51 for my very basic haircut with no wash seemed like a lot but I didn't argue. However, I only had enough cash to tip the stylist but I also wanted to tip the spa service so I asked to tip on my card. The lady pulled out a calculator and added tax on top of my tip. That's when I couldn't take it anymore and argued back that this is not right. I argued with her for a good minute before the manager stepped in and said just let it go. This is a bummer because I was planning to return for future haircuts but this experience turned me off and given that my hair is so simple to cut, I'll be going elsewhere.

Despite this, I trusted them with a larger service involving a haircut and balayage. I explained my desired cut to both the manager and stylist Kevin, emphasizing layers and a shorter front. Unfortunately, the haircut I received was uneven, slanted, and not what I asked for. When I pointed out the issues, Kevin initially asked me to wait until he finished eating before making adjustments. Even after "fixing" it, the haircut was still slanted and shorter than I wanted. To make matters worse, I felt uncomfortable and disrespected during checkout. I tipped $10 despite my dissatisfaction, only to overhear the stylist complaining to the manager in another language about the tip amount while I was standing right there. The manager then attempted to shame me by comparing my tip to someone else's $80 tip and lecturing me about tipping etiquette, which I found highly inappropriate. Isabella has a clean work space and she is a very sweet lady, she's very knowledgeable about her work and enjoys what she does. I told her I wanted an Ombre hair style and cut my hair into layers. She did a great job! At first, the ends of my hair came out VERY blonde and I didn't want that color in the ombre but she offered to change it without a problem. She was able to tone the color down and I really liked the results. She does really great blow-outs and she does not burn your scalp. I really love how my ombre came out! This is the best blowout I have ever gotten. Everyone everyone everyone everywhere was stopping me complimenting me. Now I don't have regular regular hair. I have long thick middle eastern hair up to my butt. She not once sat there and made me feel like a burden or that my hair was difficult.
