Edwin's Cleaning Service has cleaned my place on several occasions. In regards to their service, they are thorough, do a great job, they are very thorough, and leave place very clean. They do really well in cleaning the small areas and the nooks and crannies that I would miss every time we clean. Whenever we come home, we can see the difference right away. On a personal level they are very friendly, kind, and considerate. They showed up at the time they said they would arrive and they leave at the time that they predicted they would be done. They were very sensitive to the needs of our family, even in our boys bedroom, which could be challenging, and often work around us with no problem. We don't often get cleaning services, but after a year of living & working at home, plus having a baby, it was time for a deep cleaning. We'd gotten Edwin's Cleaning Service once before in when we lived in an apartment, and had always been so impressed with the job they'd done that we wanted to have them back, especially now that we're in a house. They lived up to the standards they'd set the first time and then some - everything is immaculate. The fridge and oven are cleaned out, the glass shower doors are spotless, our sink looks like new. We usually do take the time to make our bed in the morning, but somehow they made it look so nice it looked like a brand new bed! They are incredibly friendly and accommodating as well. Customer Service: I give Edwin's Cleaning a 5/5 for customer service. I spoke with one of the owners and he was very thorough on explaining what exactly I would be getting. My reason for going with him was that they specialize in "DEEP CLEANING" vs. "GENERAL/LIGHT CLEANING. The two cleaners that came in to the house were also very nice and started right away. The owner even gave a followup phone call to ask how the service was. I was promised the following: DEEP CLEANING of entire house ON top of the general cleaning they would DEEP CLEAN the following: Inside Freezer and Fridge Kitchen Stove degrease kitchen cabinets Cleaning of shower tiles Post Cleanup: We let him know that the overall results were OUTSTANDING. The house overall was FLAWLESS compared to the original state. I have had other cleaners come in for 10 or 15 dollars cheaper but do not even compare to how these guys do the jobs. The Actual Treatment: My house is a 2bedroom 1 bathroom house. The cleaners took from 9am to 230pm cleaning the house. That is about 5.5 hours of total cleaning. Pros: Good job with cleaning the overall house Inside of fridge and freezer were spotless Top Kitchen counter and Fan were cleaned spotless They even took the extra effort to vacuum and clean under furniture and beds and shelves in bedrooms. Organized and cleaned bookcase The cabinets were scrubbed to perfection. I am not even kidding. There was about 3 years of gunk on it and they scrubbed each cabinet like they were teeth and were squeaky clean. The shower was disgusting but after they went to work and showed me the AFTER I was blown away. ALL mold was gone and they even scrubbed the top ceiling which NO OTHER cleaners would even touch. Cons: NOTHING Tips: I would def. have a list of items that I would want to be concentrated on. (I.E., Cupboards, Shower Tiles) Just to make sure the sweet spots of the house get a little more attention. As far as recommendations: These guys are more expensive then your usual house cleaner BUT it is worth every penny. They market themselves as a DEEP CLEANING SERVICE and stay until the job is done and not hourly or try to finish everything within 2 hours and then leave even thought the house was not clean. Pros: The manager or owner handling the booking was prompt at returning calls or texts. He provided all needed information upfront and they followed through on everything they said they would do. The cleaning team was friendly, courteous and professional. They worked nonstop and didn't cut corners. Cons: They are clearly popular so this is not somewhere to call for a last minute or emergency situation. You will need to have a least a week's time to get on their schedule. Had my house cleaned today, they did an absolute outstanding job. Everything is so clean and fresh. The shower was pretty yucky now it's sparkling. And the oven oh my goodness was it gross before the cleaning crew cleaned it, she put so much time and hard work into it and it looks brand new. Disclaimer: Owner reached out to inquire about the cleaning service (before I uploaded this post) and upon hearing my disappointment, offered to send cleaners again. I declined the offer but it was generous and it is good customer service. I really wanted to like Edwin Cleaning services. I was SO hopeful based on all the great reviews on here. And I feel so bad writing this because the cleaners were friendly and nice, on time, and really seemed to have worked hard. Eek, but unfortunately, based purely on the cleaning service I received, I was not satisfied and will not be hiring them again. I hired Edwin's for a move in deep clean of a 2bd 2 bath condo, 850sq ft. I'd normally clean it myself but with renovations, packing and a toddler, I just decided to get a professional this time. And obviously since they are professionals they'd do a better job then me, right? Or so I thought. When they arrived I asked for a deep clean of the kitchen, it's a small kitchen. Like 12'x10'. Above the stove the cabinets had a splotchy film of grease that needed a good scrub. The previous owners also had a trashcan in a bottom cabinet, so the inside of the cabinets needed a good scrub there too (a lot of splatters and food grime that had hardened). Above the refrigerators needed to be dusted. Inside the drawers needed a wipe down. None of the above things were done. Or if they were, it was not done well so I had to do most of them on move in day. Exactly the thing I wanted to avoid. On move in day, while I was unpacking boxes I was, with gloves on, scrubbing the kitchen. There were still crumbs in the drawers, there were still food splatters on the cabinets, I don't think they even wiped down any of the cabinets (inside or out). And while I was on my hands and knees scrubbing I thought to myself, WTF did I just pay people to clean this place? I was assured over the phone that this would be a deep clean, that they specialize in deep cleaning. Even my husband (who doesn't notice household things like this) asked me if I had hired a cleaning service because he noticed a few dirty spots. Again, this guy REALLY doesn't notice these things. (Also, if you're thinking maybe they spent their time cleaning the bathrooms, we renovated both of them so everything in both bathrooms were unused and brand new, it was just dusty from construction). I do want to say that I still tipped them and thanked them, because I really think they did their best. I want to believe it anyway because they seemed like diligent, hard working folks. But again, if I'm being completely honest about the cleaning service I received, it was 1-2 stars, I would not recommend them and I will not be using their services in the future. read more

I'm very picky and perfectionist so im not an easy client but these guys really impressed me: they pay attention to every detail and do things no body else has done before. What a RELIEF Edwin's Cleaning Service is! I hired them to clean my 2 bedroom 2 bath after I had moved out so the next people moving in would have a nice clean space to arrive to that day. I am SO pleased with the outcome. The bedroom floors were spotless- including the trim molding going along the edges, the bathrooms were left nice and shiny, my oven (which I admit I am not very good at cleaning myself) was left WAY better than I expected it could be! Edwin's cleaning service was great!! I have a 2 bed 2 bath condo. I have a new roommate moving in, so I wanted to make the place nice like new for them. I don't keep after it as much as I should, so there are some places that are extra difficult to clean: the stove had stains on it I've never fully been able to get out, the vents blew dust onto the wall that then got ground in, and the tops of a few appliances had a compact layer of dirt that I couldn't remove even with chemicals and elbow grease. Most importantly: The previous roommate had a shed-happy Golden Retriever here FOR 3 YEARS. Literally the entire condo was coated in dog fur. A crew of 3 came in and spent over four hours getting into every corner and cleaning areas of the house I had forgotten existed. When an area was extra dirty, they didn't give up-- they took the extra time and effort to get it clean. They also checked in with me frequently to ask if I was satisfied with the work so far. And they eliminated almost all evidence that a dog was ever here. Considering I spent 3 years with dog hair mysteriously always in my mouth and eyes, I consider that a small miracle. Given the amount of man-hours and effort, the price was surprisingly low. In the past, I have hired a housekeeper (who I think is great) every few months, and she covered all the basics and made the place presentable - so she was my gold standard. Edwin's Cleaning Service is my new gold standard. They made the place clean enough that you'd think it was ready to sell. Service has gone significantly downhill over recent years. I used Edwin's several times in 2015-2016 for deep- and post-construction cleaning services on a residential property and they were great. They sent a team of 4 people and spent real time on my house making sure all of the surfaces and nooks and crannies were sparkling clean. So, when I looked around recently and saw my house could use a freshening up, I had no hesitation in calling them. To their credit, they were responsive and scheduled my job quickly and I felt comfortable with their team being in my house without me there. The problem is that the cleaning job was terrible. Under no definition was the service I received what I had paid $475 for: a "deep" cleaning. Since they only take cash, and I did not want to sit at home while they cleaned, I made the mistake of paying in advance, so I had no recourse. Firstly, they sent two people only this time. I let them into the home but was not there when they left, but, I could see from my doorbell camera and the text I received that they were finished, that they spent less than four hours at my home. So, for $118.75/hour, one would expect a great job, right?! To be fair, they did clean (my already clean) oven and refrigerator. In every other way, however, it was a good, not great, regular cleaning. In no way did it meet the definition of a "deep" cleaning. The cleaners did not lift objects up to dust underneath them; they did not wipe down the cabinets in the kitchen; they did not clean the grout in the bathrooms; they did not pull furniture away from the walls to clean--they didn't even vacuum under furniture (the dust bunnies under my bed and in corners of rooms were still there); they did not vacuum inside walk-in closets; they did not wipe down medicine cabinet shelves; they did not dust ceiling fans; and the list of what they did not do other than dust, vacuum, and a surface clean in the bathrooms and kitchen, goes on. I have a cleaner that comes once a week. She charges $120, and her weekly clean is far more thorough than the $475 "deep" clean for which I paid Edwin's. We've called Edwin's Cleaning a several times for periodic cleaning of our two-bedroom apartment. What I love about this service is that they don't charge by the hour, they charge by the job. So they'll stay until the job gets done. With other hourly services, I've had to cut back on what I've wanted done since they couldn't fit it into the allotted time, or it would be more expensive than estimated. Their cleaning staff does such a thorough job. They actually removed stains from our bathroom sink that had always been there and so I figured were just flaws in the porcelain! As an aside, they clean out your refrigerator and organize your medicine cabinet. And methinks Jonathan has a bit of the OCD as he always rearranges things by purpose and then by size. It's poetry, really. It's truly a thing of beauty! We're satisfied with the service so far. The first two times, Edwin came with his crew, and did a wonderful job. The wood floor stayed clean and shiny for many days after the cleaning. They use more natural products rather than heavy chemicals, and are flexible per request; we don't wear shoes indoor, they'll take off their shoes except in bathrooms for safely purpose; we provide our own vacuum machine to clean indoor, they'll clean the dustpan after done. These guys are amazing. When they say they do a deep cleaning they mean it, they moved things to clean places that have never been cleaned before. They go above and beyond for their service. My taught one thing if you pay for something cheap that's exactly what you'll get, and you'll end up pay twice and spending more money than you thought. I'm so happy tonight because my house is SUPER CLEAN! Jonathan and two others came this morning and got to work right away. I wanted a DEEP cleaning and that's what I got. My refrigerator is sparkling inside and out. (They even put aside expired foods for you!) When my daughter came home, she didn't recognize her bathroom floor. The tiles are so clean they actually look different. I love that they clean above doors and baseboards and really scrub sinks, showers, toilets and tubs. And finally, they were all super friendly. I had really high hopes for Edwin's Cleaning Service after reading so many glowing reviews. However, I really do understand why there are some negative reviews. When I spoke to Jonathan about having my home cleaned, he explained that they do a very thorough deep cleaning but they do not do laundry. That was perfectly fine for me! I like to do my own laundry and I realize there are way too many personal preferences for a cleaning company to "get it right." Note: I bought a brand new home and the cleaning service I've used for the past 4 years was simply unable to travel the distance to my new home, so I had to look for a new service. Today the company came to clean and sent 2 people for a 3-story home with a lot of stairs and all hardwood floors (fully disclosed at the beginning) for $275. I had my assistant there to oversee, as I was told by Jonathan they clean in drawers, clean out the refrigerator and get rid of expired items, etc. As I was really expecting a DEEP CLEANING, I wanted to make sure there was sufficient oversight. Later I was told that the cleaning started off strong and then fizzled out. The cleaners do not lift any dishes to clean under them (I have a long exposed shelf that stores all plates and glasses) and state that this is company policy. They didn't clean any of the lights. They didn't touch any of the window sills. They also didn't do any windows. They also do not move any furniture. There's more, but this is the important stuff. I called Jonathan to address this with him and the first thing he emphatically said was "I know that I told you we do not clean windows or do laundry. I tell everyone that over the phone." I'm no customer service professional, but I also know that to be a terrible response. I also know for a fact that he never told me they don't do windows or I would have said I will have to find another cleaning service (I have a lot of windows). By the way, if you go over to their website, the home that is featured is almost PURELY windows....imagine that! Another issue: they send out a different crew every time, which is a problem for consistency. I'd recommend listing all of your policies that shy away from an actual "deep cleaning" on your website - many times people forget to mention things on the phone. Also, if it's a first-time cleaning and you know a customer is unhappy, try making sure you can make it right instead of immediately jumping on the defensive and exclaiming that you stated the policy. Edwin's Cleaning Service is the real deal. When they say deep cleaning, they mean it from top to bottom! We scheduled our 2-bedroom tri-level townhome to be deep cleaned, and David and Victor arrived promptly on time and began from the top of the house and worked their way down. Bathrooms...super clean, bedrooms...super clean as well. Closets, light fixtures, window blinds were all thoroughly cleaned as well. Carpet was vacuumed, tile and wood floors were cleaned and mopped. It took seven hours to clean the entire house. The dirty kitchen fridge and microwave were cleaned spotless. If you're looking for a far better than ordinary cleaning service, look no further than Edwin's Cleaning Service. You get what you pay for. And for all that work, it was definitely reasonably priced.
