If you're looking for high quality breakfast sandwiches in a comfy setting, Egg Break does not disappoint. They do a lot of things well here, such as streamlining the ordering process with several kiosks as not to bottleneck orders with one cashier. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have plenty of seating upstairs or down, with a quieter ambiance so that you can hear the people you're eating with, or your own thoughts.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My breakfast sandwich was fresh and delicious with no complaints. However, I did find the price points for the items here come in higher than expected, as well as the wait for my sandwich. I came here with a friend visiting from New York where the breakfast sandos are quicker, cheaper and still tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Now that I know this spot is more of a laid back vibe, I'm sure that next time I stop in it will be top notch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
Just as the hype claims, Egg Break left a delicious first impression. We grabbed two Egg Break Bowl's to go and they were fantastic. The combination of rice, runny egg yolk, house-made pickles, and bacon was something I didn't even realize I was missing in my life. It's hearty but not heavy. I wish there had been a little less peach balsamic but other than that, I wouldn't change a thing. Everything traveled well and was packed with flavor. And being gluten free was a bonus for me! I'll absolutely be back to try their sandwiches and experience dining in.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This was the cutest restaurant with fun egg decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are all sorts of breakfast sandwiches, tots and juices here. I really enjoyed the Salt City juice which had freshly squeezed orange juice, pineapple juice, strawberry puree and fresh blackberries. The service was fast and friendly as well, I definitely will be back to try more menu items!
The food was delicious and so good. I got the egg sandwich with the side of bacon and we shared the biscuits and it was amazing that we had a good food coma. The service was quick and easy to use. Either you can order on the self order service or on the counter. Okay, so I saw this cute little brekkie spot right off the Central Pointe Trax station, since I've been taking public transportation more often these past few months. I had my husband drop me off there one morning after a doctor's appointment and missed the previous train, so I ran over to try and grab a breakfast sandwich before heading up to work at HCI. I put in my order at the POS system near the entryway, and waited... I was a little anxious as the time until order was ready was 14 minutes (after the next train was supposed to arrive). They got it done much sooner, but I barely made the train (not their fault, of course). I scoped out the place while I waited. How cute of a place! Everything was decorated with an egg theme of course. I love the egg room in particular. I didn't sit down to eat obviously. Of course it wasn't as hot if I had sat down and dined in, but my breakfast sandwich was still yummy. I'll come back to dine in when I have a little more time.
Okay breakfast sandwich spot, the appeal is how quickly the crew is able to get through that orders honestly, but that leaves quality control issues with the food. Also love the open space, the ambiance is quite lively and nice. On to the sandwiches, overall really decent, but nothing to write home about. I got the NYC Bodega BEC, but not a particular ingredient sticked out, ie the bacon wasn't particularly smoky or flavorful compared to other spots. And the gf got the Greens Eggs and Ham, the one thin slice of prosciutto was laughable for the price we paid, and the balsamic reduction can hardly be tasted. There's much better breakfast sandwiches to be had out there.
I really wanted to really like this place, the space was big, two levels plus outside seating. Low tables, high tables, egg shaped chairs and footrests, cute and unique egg and breakfast decorations. Well maintained dining room, condiment bars, and bathrooms. Ordering kiosks when you first walk in. All that was great, but the food really fell flat. Not sure if we ordered the wrong things, it was a bad day, or what but our sandwiches although they looked tasty were extremely flavorless. I had a biscuit with fennel & sage sausage, egg. Both the sausage and egg had no flavor at all. It was really bland. The biscuit tasted like licking a spoonful of baking soda. Very zingy, hard, and dry. It was so hard to eat because the biscuit was tough. It was extremely messy too. I was disappointed because they always look busy and like they would be good. I still plan to give it a other try, and order something different to see if it's any better. My husband tried a pancake sandwich and he was not impressed with his either. I tried a bite and it seemed bland just like mine but with pancake instead of biscuit. They do have some good looking juices I will need to check out next time with a new sandwich variety.

No notes. Just kidding. I'm a millennial-- of course I have notes. This place is freaking delicious. It's a bit on the pricey side for a fast casual bfast spot, but the ingredients are quality and the sandwiches are really filling. I love eggs so much, and they do it right: their scramble is custard-like, herby, soft and delicate. Paired with the melty American cheese, it's hard to beat. I love their chivey tots with the bechamel. Chef's kiss. They have a good range of drinks as well. Skip the cold brew and order The Baltimore: fresh orange juice, pineapple, and mango puree. It's like sunshine in your mouth. The house made pickles are just ridiculously good. Ample parking, though I don't love that it's right by Trax and the parking lot is easy to miss, especially after frequent railroad crossing lights. Not their fault though. I don't know if I can put this into words properly. But it's been a long time since I have had a 5 star dining experience. I asked my husband 'is this food absolutely amazing, or am I just starving' and he said 'both'. Haha! We came here on Presidents' Day because we both had work off and my husband loooves breakfast food. We rode the trax over and arrived about 1pm. It's a self ordering system so you use the touchscreen to navigate through the menu. Plenty of really great options. I decided to get the steak and avocado and my husband chose the pastrami, both as combos. A few specialty drinks which we didn't try this time. The food took a little bit to prepare, but it's not like they are avoiding your order, it's the feeling that they really are cooking it fresh for you. The sandwiches looked amazing and tasted even better. A really good portion, very filling for breakfast. I was so impressed with the flavor in every single bite. And the tots were so crispy and fresh as well. The sauce that comes with them, I believe is a cheese sauce, I was apprehensive about it, but it was a very tasty and satisfying combination. I am so excited to go back again sometime and have been recommending to everyone! Egg Break turned out to be an amazing breakfast stop. My husband ordered the breakfast burger, and I had the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. The bread stood out--soft, flavorful, and it tasted fresh-baked and homemade. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They're pet-friendly outside, and one of the staff members even mentioned we could bring Luna inside if she was well-behaved, which was such a thoughtful touch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We decided to stay outside since we were just grabbing a quick meal, but it was great to know they were so welcoming. This place is very popular! We came on a saturday morning and waited ~30 min for our food. I would place my order online before coming next time. Both sandwiches were really good, but I really liked the english muffin. The sandwich insides are really rich (egg yolk, sauce, etc) and having the toasted ciabatta which was kind of buttery/oily made it a bit too heavy for me. I think the english muffin does a good job of balancing things out. read more

Someone explained the Egg Break menu as fancy egg mcmuffins....and I think that's a hilariously accurate description. This isn't the typical breakfast place where you get a plate of eggs, bacon, etc. What you DO get, however, is your choice of egg sandwich and a side of magnificent tots. Do yourself a favor and get an orange juice too. It's a delicious experience! The order process is high-tech....you order at a kiosk and then get a text notification when it's ready. Orders are ready lickity-split, very short wait time. You can enjoy indoor or outdoor seating-everywhere is bright and cheerful. Of note, this location is right off the 2100 Trax stop-so it's easily accessible. If you choose to drive, there's also plenty of parking. read more
A great breakfast place in Salt Lake! It's super easy and convenient to put your order through on the computer. The decor is fun and cute, and there are a lot of seating options inside and outside. I ordered the Garlic Steak sandwich, which was so tender and delicious. I added the jalapeño sauce, and that just elevated the flavors. Great place for some tasty breakfast! They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and is clean and spacious. All their menu items sound delicious but I've only ever gotten the hoff sandwich. It has pork belly and a fried egg- best combo in option! Their breakfast totes are got a crispy and pair well with any of their sauces. The jalapeños sauce is good and so is the habanero. A combo comes with a drink and totes and just under $20 including tip. You definitely get your moneys worth! read more
Good breakfast spot located downtown SLC. I got the sausage egg and cheese because it's a classic and easy to tell how good it is because it's a classic. This place is definitely high quality, the flavors were great, temp was just right, the only nit pick I have was that I prefer a softer biscuit and mine was pretty dry, crispy-ish, and borderline crunchy/hard and I wish it was less "crunch/hard" and more lightly crispy with a soft buttery biscuit inside. Everything was egg themed and it couldn't be more perfect. The staff was welcome and the restaurant was clean. I was also surprised how much space the restaurant had and there was plenty of seating. We tried a few different sandwiches and everything was delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more! read more
So I'm not a big breakfast fan but I am a big breakfast sandwich fan. Usually they're nothing special, but these ones are. You can tell the ingredients are of higher quality. The sausage is better than most, the bread/English muffin/biscuit that holds the stuff together is better. The eggs are cooked perfectly. It's nice that everything is done on a tablet for ordering, I am a millennial and I like that. They have plenty of hot sauces to choose from, and the juices are really good. Nice simple breakfast place. read more
Genuinely the best breakfast I've had in some time! You'll place and pick up your order yourself so don't expect to be waited on. But they have a large selection of delectable sandwiches, flavored juices, and yummy coffees. Tons of cute seating areas, a loft area, high top and low top tables. Do yourself a favor and get the tots with their house cheese sauce. I will most definitely be back to try more menu items. read more

After reading all the good reviews for this place on Yelp, I came with my siblings and spouses. As recommended by my fellow Yelpers, the OJ and tots were must-tries along with the breakfast sandwiches, so that's what we did! Ordering was so quick and easy on the tablets (and there were 4 so people didn't have to wait). The drinks were done as soon as we submitted our orders and the food came soon after! It was pretty quick for Saturday brunch time! The tots were indeed very crispy and paired very well with the spicy Bravas sauce (def recommend over the original, it's not spicy). I wish the chives were mixed into the potatoes, because they didn't stick to the tots. The OJ was very refreshing and pure; it was straight orange colored and not diluted at all. Plus the orange slice at the top made for a nice "cherry on top" at the end of the meal. The sandwiches were all very good. The Big Pig in a Honey Blanket was SO SO good. Biscuit has an amazing crunch and it was so buttery, YUM. For all the sandwiches we got (more than pictured) I needed like an acidic component to cut through all the fat and richness from the egg yolks....like pickled onions or saurkraut. (I would've added sriracha if I saw it in time!) Overall, the place itself was very well decorated and there was so much seating. It's a great spot for a meal with big groups! We'll definitely be back to try more things here! read more
This was my first time at Egg Break and I really enjoyed it! The food was delicious. I had the BEC and added extra bacon. Their bacon is thick cut and a tad sweet with the honey. Their tots were fresh and hot, fairly crispy. I got the cheese dip and it was delicious! I also ordered the OJ with the coconut milk in it, very good. The decor is very hip and chic, very Insta worthy. You don't converse with the staff at all, which some people may like, I was good either way on that, but it does free up a person to get the meal out quickly. Our food was out within 5-7 minutes of ordering, so it was very fast. Overall I really enjoyed this place and will be back to try the rest of the menu! read more

A much needed solid breakfast place in South Salt Lake. I feel so lucky to have this place in my neighborhood! High quality and delicious! You order at the front on their computers, super easy to order. Then you enter your number and they call your name and send you a text to retrieve your order. There's a downstairs with a ton of seating, and an upstairs that is a great co-working space. They also have a little patio space that's super cute. We each got a sandwich and upgraded one of the sandwiches to the combo - which with an orange juice and tater tots was an additional $7.25. I got the classic cheese and scrambled eggs sandwich and it was $7 and delicious and creamy and yummy. The bread the sandwiches come on is great. The interior is warm, welcoming, and really well designed. So happy to have this place so close to me! read more
Cutest Little Spot. When you walk in you're in the pathway of the P.O.S system for ordering. It spits out your receipt with your order number on it. There is an upstairs and downstairs. You seat yourself. Then you await your name to be called for pickup. Something about the bacon made it a little tough to bite through. It's a slightly thicker cut of bacon. Perhaps that played a role. The ciabatta was more like a soft bun texture. Not a traditional ciabatta. My chai was alright. I definitely tasted some cinnamon and nutmeg in there. Especially towards the end, as there was settling towards the bottom of the drink. Although delicious, I personally wouldn't order it again. All that said. I polished off my B.E.C and tater tots. I would definitely like to come back and try their other menu options. read more
If you have a hankering for a delicious breakfast sandwich, don't walk, RUN to Egg Break! If you've ever been to Las Vegas and tried Egg Slut, these sandwiches rival those without the brioche bun, but WITH the convenience of being right here in Salt Lake! The atmosphere is very quirky with fun egg-themed art installations everywhere you turn. Very "Instagram-able," if you will. When you walk in, you will be met by a DIY ordering kiosk which is incredibly convenient for those who who are tech savvy (if you don't fall under the tech savvy crew, I would anticipate that you may struggle a bit as there are a lot of options to select when ordering). I, myself, do very much enjoy the self-service option when wanting to grab a bite to eat and limit human interaction so early in the morning. I ordered The Classic Scram w/ Cheese, and talk about melty goodness. There was a delicious creaminess to this sandwich and it was seasoned to perfection. I'm honestly not a huge breakfast person, and this sandwich left me wanting more in the best way possible. The husband order the NYC Bodga B.E.C., and you really cannot go wrong with such a classic! We also ordered a side of the breakfast tots w/ bravas sauce with an extra side of the jalapeno and habanero bravas sauces. Honestly, couldn't tell much of a difference in the heat level and flavor between the sauces, but they were delicious none-the-less. We've really been waiting for an elevated breakfast sandwich spot in Salt Lake, and I, for one, am incredibly excited over this addition! Can't wait to head back. read more

Conflicted here fam. The restaurant itself is set up as quick service. You order at some kiosks which are set up on some higher tables. As a wheelchair user some of the options I could not reach. If someone is of small stature they could not use them independently. There is also an upstairs and I could not locate an elevator anywhere. That is slightly disappointing. My spouse got the monthly special and he throughly enjoyed it. I tried a bit of his pancake bun and it was super syrupy and tasty! I ordered the sausage egg biscuit with honey butter. The biscuit was flaky and had a great taste. However my sausage was pretty pink and I struggle with pork being pink like that. I would have alerted staff but it's difficult to talk to them as they are all hidden behind large counters. I also tried the tator tots and those were crispy, fresh but pretty greasy. In all honesty all of our food was pretty greasy and we both walked away with stomach aches. Again conflicted because it did taste good but undercooked pork is not my jam and with the quick service set up it's difficult to talk to anyone to ask questions or provide feedback. read more

The sandwich selection caters to all appetites: Farm boy: a more elevated take on the classic English muffin NYC bodega: smoked bacon! Do I need to say more? A big pig in a honey biscuit: you have to eat this one with a fork. It's pack with flavor but a bit sticky.
