No notes. Just kidding. I'm a millennial-- of course I have notes. This place is freaking delicious. It's a bit on the pricey side for a fast casual bfast spot, but the ingredients are quality and the sandwiches are really filling. I love eggs so much, and they do it right: their scramble is custard-like, herby, soft and delicate. Paired with the melty American cheese, it's hard to beat. I love their chivey tots with the bechamel. Chef's kiss. They have a good range of drinks as well. Skip the cold brew and order The Baltimore: fresh orange juice, pineapple, and mango puree. It's like sunshine in your mouth. The house made pickles are just ridiculously good. Ample parking, though I don't love that it's right by Trax and the parking lot is easy to miss, especially after frequent railroad crossing lights. Not their fault though. Outdoor patio, cute upstairs with-- you guessed it-- egg chairs. Love the cheese slice, egg, and bacon neon art. read more

Coffee was very average, I couldn't taste the cookie cold brew at all, the milk was not enough and it was very watery. The biscuit itself was delicious!! However I wish there was a sauce or cheese on it. The patty, egg, biscuit combo was fairly dry and it kind fell apart so it seemed like I was just eating each item individually. Just as the hype claims, Egg Break left a delicious first impression. We grabbed two Egg Break Bowl's to go and they were fantastic. The combination of rice, runny egg yolk, house-made pickles, and bacon was something I didn't even realize I was missing in my life. It's hearty but not heavy. I wish there had been a little less peach balsamic but other than that, I wouldn't change a thing. Everything traveled well and was packed with flavor. And being gluten free was a bonus for me! They do a lot of things well here, such as streamlining the ordering process with several kiosks as not to bottleneck orders with one cashier. They also have plenty of seating upstairs or down, with a quieter ambiance so that you can hear the people you're eating with, or your own thoughts. My breakfast sandwich was fresh and delicious with no complaints. However, I did find the price points for the items here come in higher than expected, as well as the wait for my sandwich. I came here with a friend visiting from New York where the breakfast sandos are quicker, cheaper and still tasty. I don't know if I can put this into words properly. But it's been a long time since I have had a 5 star dining experience. I asked my husband 'is this food absolutely amazing, or am I just starving' and he said 'both'. Haha! We came here on Presidents' Day because we both had work off and my husband loooves breakfast food. We rode the trax over and arrived about 1pm. It's a self ordering system so you use the touchscreen to navigate through the menu. Plenty of really great options. I decided to get the steak and avocado and my husband chose the pastrami, both as combos. A few specialty drinks which we didn't try this time. The food took a little bit to prepare, but it's not like they are avoiding your order, it's the feeling that they really are cooking it fresh for you. The sandwiches looked amazing and tasted even better. A really good portion, very filling for breakfast. I was so impressed with the flavor in every single bite. And the tots were so crispy and fresh as well. The sauce that comes with them, I believe is a cheese sauce, I was apprehensive about it, but it was a very tasty and satisfying combination. Okay, so I saw this cute little brekkie spot right off the Central Pointe Trax station, since I've been taking public transportation more often these past few months. I had my husband drop me off there one morning after a doctor's appointment and missed the previous train, so I ran over to try and grab a breakfast sandwich before heading up to work at HCI. I put in my order at the POS system near the entryway, and waited... I was a little anxious as the time until order was ready was 14 minutes (after the next train was supposed to arrive). They got it done much sooner, but I barely made the train (not their fault, of course). I scoped out the place while I waited. How cute of a place! Everything was decorated with an egg theme of course. I love the egg room in particular. I didn't sit down to eat obviously. Also love the open space, the ambiance is quite lively and nice. On to the sandwiches, overall really decent, but nothing to write home about. I got the NYC Bodega BEC, but not a particular ingredient sticked out, ie the bacon wasn't particularly smoky or flavorful compared to other spots. And the gf got the Greens Eggs and Ham, the one thin slice of prosciutto was laughable for the price we paid, and the balsamic reduction can hardly be tasted. Not sure if we ordered the wrong things, it was a bad day, or what but our sandwiches although they looked tasty were extremely flavorless. I had a biscuit with fennel & sage sausage, egg. Both the sausage and egg had no flavor at all. It was really bland. The biscuit tasted like licking a spoonful of baking soda. Very zingy, hard, and dry. It was so hard to eat because the biscuit was tough. It was extremely messy too. I was disappointed because they always look busy and like they would be good. I still plan to give it a other try, and order something different to see if it's any better. My husband tried a pancake sandwich and he was not impressed with his either. Both sandwiches were really good, but I really liked the english muffin. I think maybe if they included some potato side it would feel like a better value. The place is very cute but still fast-cas with sit-down pricing. This place is definitely high quality, the flavors were great, temp was just right, the only nit pick I have was that I prefer a softer biscuit and mine was pretty dry, crispy-ish, and borderline crunchy/hard and I wish it was less "crunch/hard" and more lightly crispy with a soft buttery biscuit inside. It could have been a fluke but I'm down to give it another shot sometime. Interior is lovely vibes and it's a great spot to come and grab a b-fast sandwich and chill for a sec. After reading all the good reviews for this place on Yelp, I came with my siblings and spouses. As recommended by my fellow Yelpers, the OJ and tots were must-tries along with the breakfast sandwiches, so that's what we did! Ordering was so quick and easy on the tablets (and there were 4 so people didn't have to wait). The drinks were done as soon as we submitted our orders and the food came soon after! It was pretty quick for Saturday brunch time! The tots were indeed very crispy and paired very well with the spicy Bravas sauce (def recommend over the original, it's not spicy). I wish the chives were mixed into the potatoes, because they didn't stick to the tots. The OJ was very refreshing and pure; it was straight orange colored and not diluted at all. Plus the orange slice at the top made for a nice "cherry on top" at the end of the meal. The sandwiches were all very good. The Big Pig in a Honey Blanket was SO SO good. Biscuit has an amazing crunch and it was so buttery, YUM. For all the sandwiches we got (more than pictured) I needed like an acidic component to cut through all the fat and richness from the egg yolks....like pickled onions or saurkraut. (I would've added sriracha if I saw it in time!) Overall, the place itself was very well decorated and there was so much seating. It's a great spot for a meal with big groups! This was my first time at Egg Break and I really enjoyed it! The food was delicious. I had the BEC and added extra bacon. Their bacon is thick cut and a tad sweet with the honey. Their tots were fresh and hot, fairly crispy. I got the cheese dip and it was delicious! I also ordered the OJ with the coconut milk in it, very good. The decor is very hip and chic, very Insta worthy. You don't converse with the staff at all, which some people may like, I was good either way on that, but it does free up a person to get the meal out quickly. A much needed solid breakfast place in South Salt Lake. I feel so lucky to have this place in my neighborhood! High quality and delicious! You order at the front on their computers, super easy to order. Then you enter your number and they call your name and send you a text to retrieve your order. There's a downstairs with a ton of seating, and an upstairs that is a great co-working space. They also have a little patio space that's super cute. We each got a sandwich and upgraded one of the sandwiches to the combo - which with an orange juice and tater tots was an additional $7.25. I got the classic cheese and scrambled eggs sandwich and it was $7 and delicious and creamy and yummy. The bread the sandwiches come on is great. Cutest Little Spot. When you walk in you're in the pathway of the P.O.S system for ordering. It spits out your receipt with your order number on it. There is an upstairs and downstairs. You seat yourself. Then you await your name to be called for pickup. Something about the bacon made it a little tough to bite through. It's a slightly thicker cut of bacon. Perhaps that played a role. The ciabatta was more like a soft bun texture. Not a traditional ciabatta. My chai was alright. I definitely tasted some cinnamon and nutmeg in there. Especially towards the end, as there was settling towards the bottom of the drink. Although delicious, I personally wouldn't order it again. All that said. I polished off my B.E.C and tater tots. If you've ever been to Las Vegas and tried Egg Slut, these sandwiches rival those without the brioche bun, but WITH the convenience of being right here in Salt Lake!
