This shop just opened recently in the east Bay Area serving egg sandwiches. They have three kinds - toast, burrito, croissant with different topping options. We got one with ham & cheese, and the other one with spicy pork. The egg was fluffy and the toast was buttery. Highly recommend to get their Dalgona whipped coffee as well~ very tasty drink! We saw the Coming Soon sign a few months ago and we're excited to try Egg Happiness! Don't let the names fool you! Egg toast is more than just an egg on some toast! These are filling fluffy brioche bread and egg sandwiches that are a total comfort food. Egg toast w/hashbrown - husband loved it. Simple, but well cooked and tasty. Spicy Pork Egg Toast - a little skimpy on the pork, but it was tasty. Regular spice level was not spicy at all for me. Ordering was easy. We used the kiosk (pay attention to what your order number is! Located in the upper right of the screen) and then waited at a table. Once our order number was announced, we saw the robot kitty server moving towards the pickup counter. Meet her there and grab your order. Utensils and napkins are available on the side of the counter. Parking is always a bear in Ulferts. Too many restaurants and too many spots reserved for bank customers only. We lucked out and got a spot in front of Kee Wah Bakery. Had to grab a few goodies from there too of course! I don't know if I'd make a special trip out for this, but husband would. The walls are painted a happy yellow, the staff are friendly and attentive, the service was fast, and your order is brought to the front by a cat robot. There's plenty of seating inside, making this an ideal place to meet someone for a snack or breakfast. I heard that egg toasts are a trend in Korea right now, so that's what I've opted to try. We got one original egg toast (without the signature sauce) and one with hash brown, along with a dalgona coffee. The egg toast was a thick slice of toasted and buttered brioche bread, wedged with fluffy and creamy scrambled eggs and cheese. The mayonnaise-based signature sauce adds more flavor and calories to the eggs. And the crispy hash brown added a much-needed crunch. Everything tasted fresh and good, but it was a little too heavy and oily for my taste to come here often. Extremely friendly staff. The robot seems friendly too. I got the egg and avocado on toast. The eggs are fluffy and warm. The overall experience is good if you are looking for a treat. I would not cook this way at home as the rich sauce and heavy use of butter is not sustainable for health. Had a fun night out + very little sleep, woke up needing something eggy and delicious. Egg Happiness didn't disappoint. Saw it was Korean style egg sandwiches and was sold. Had the egg and ham. These sandwiches are incredibly rich. Lots of butter and cream. Like other reviewers said, i do wish they added veggies like they do in Korea, just to help cut some of the richness. It kept me full all day, so a very generous size. They offer 2 or 3 self service machines for ordering and one person physically taking orders. Your food comes out on these cute robots. Adorable. I got to try this place out over the weekend. I wanted to see for myself what all the hype was about. As soon as you walk in on the right you see a kiosk where you can order or you can place your order over the counter. The day I went for some reason people stood in line to order from the kiosk, myself I just walked up to the counter placed my order and sat myself down. I ordered a plane egg toast sandwich and my Fiancée ordered hash brown egg toast sandwich. The bread itself is pretty thick and buttery it was delicious! They also sell croissant sandwiches and breakfast burritos which I have to go back and try. I did hear that the croissant breakfast sandwiches aren't really that great it gets very mushy and they include some kind of In-House sauce that taste a little off-putting. I have yet to try it myself so I'll update this review later in regards to that. The place is small and seating might be a little difficult during peak times which is usually in the mornings & brunch time. They do have a little robot that comes out of the kitchen and brings your order over to the counter. Then someone calls out your number or one of the staff members grab the food from the robot and hands it to you. I would suggest maybe adding a plant base egg substitute as an option and reach a wider range of customers. Got here at 9:30 am on Sunday morning and the place is already packed! I like that I can order in the kiosk and the robot will deliver the food with the assigned numbers called. I ordered spicy pork. The egg is so fluffy and pork is tender. It's not really spicy though. I'll see if I can order different spicy level next time. The Tatar tot is so crispy! We saw this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. The parking lot was packed do go early. It's a small spot but they do have a lot of seating. The price in my opinion is reasonable. I was $7.50 for an original egg sandwich. My husband had one with bacon. We also ordered a drink in a bag . They give you a cup with ice you pour yourself my son loved it. You start by ordering at a kiosk with a choice of toast, wrap, or croissant. From there you can add a variety of things from egg with bacon, egg with hash, etc. I personally went with egg with bacon and added hash for an extra dollar. I also added a side of tater tots. From there you'll be given a number, and you can seat yourself while you wait for your number. It seemed like half or so of the orders came out through a robot waiter that parked itself at the center of the front counter right in front of the number indicator. The other half is busses by one of their employees. Overall, the sandwich I received was surprisingly good. It was most definitely filling. The egg was perfectly smooth and airy, while still remaining moist. The bacon felt like traditional restaurant baked bacon, and the hash brown very similar to McDonald's. At the bottom of the toast I noticed it's kind of just one huge slice of toast with the top sliced into two, and the filling stuffed between the two. Helps for easy handling, and all the juices and filling wont just squeeze out the other side. The tots were also standard -- crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. I DoorDashed this place while I was working in the area and it came very quickly which means the service must be good. But the burrito I ordered was absolutely delicious. Other reviews will say it's okay but the key is to add hot sauce. The savory ingredients (egg, potatoes, grilled onions, avocado) mixed with the bulgogis light sweetness had such a unique flavor. We placed the order on the kiosk and chose take out but for some reason our orders were placed inside a brown paper bag. I also tried the daltons coffee which was pretty good. To my surprise thought, they don't offer free filtered water. You either buy bottled water or can ask for tap water. These days, all restaurants should have filtered water provide to customers. Cost for 3 sandwiches and 1 coffee was close to $40. I would probably not come back. The food was delivered out with a robot which was not really necessary since it delivers to the front of the cashier and not to where you are seated. I went around lunch time so it was not too bad. I got the bulgogi toast and then I added a hash brown patty which I think elevated the whole sandwich. The Bugolfi and Eggs were sooo good! A little runny but still good. I will say I do have a thing with texture and I wasn't thrilled having my eggs a bit on the runny side and how fluffy it was.
