The food in this place was very good. The hashbrowns tasted fresh, the eggs were done right, the bacon was crispy as ordered. The service was prompt and very friendly. The place seems to be popular. It was very busy and crowded, and the tables are very close together. If noise is an issue, this is not a place to go. They have tv sets all over, which I personally find irritating, but that is a personal pet peeve of mine. The real issue for me was a large party that came in and sat next to us. They had a large dog with them, which apparently was allowed, and we were sitting indoors. I didn't see a service dog vest on the dog. I had no idea how spacious this place was, even after looking at pictures on Yelp. We were seated right away, and the menu gives you plenty to choose from. The server was not having a good moment when taking our order, but afterwards, he was much friendlier. My taste buds wanted to stay simple, so I chose their Toast Omelette, and my friend had the Mini Omelette, which is the one in the back of the photo. Had breakfast this morning at about 11:00am and was glad to have another good comfy place for breakfast and lunch. Parking was not a problem in the shared lot and I can see people enjoying their outdoor dining area on a nice day. The inside was modern and well lit. This place has a wide variety of brunch items. A plate will cause your around $17-$25 which I think is on par with similar style brunch spots. I ordered the California Benedict and substituted fries. The food came out quick and hot. I'd say the food could be a little bit more flavor.l because it was somewhat bland. My biggest gripe is the price difference between their physical menu and their online menu. The online menu reflects a lower price which is very deceiving. They need to update their website. It was more of the same for my daughter who thought there wasn't enough mango in the mango matcha. If we don't finish our drinks, we usually take it home to go but we decided to leave ours. It's not enough to have a good presentation of specialty coffee drinks but the taste leaves one wanting. I want them to do good. There are better foams and syrups out there. Check out the syrup that Porto's uses for their ube matcha. There's great small batch syrups as well. Our waiter was lovely. You get the sense that this is possibly his family's business. Since I've read some mixed reviews on the Country Fried Steak, I asked Rahul if it was good lol. Rahul gave very honest opinions and I decided to give it a try. We also got the Corned Beef Hash Skillet, a Belgium waffle and a side of French toast. The Country Fried Steak is different from the other ones I've had. It's not thin & coated in bread crumbs, but instead thicker & had a thin layer of batter. Since the batter was so thin and the entire piece of meat was covered in the very delicious gravy, there wasn't really a crunch. The steak also had a chew (which I didn't dislike) but I can see why some reviews thought that it was not tenderized enough. I did enjoy the dish, however, I also think that it would be even better if the steak had a crispy exterior. The Corned Beef Hash Skillet was delicious. Instead of the corned beef in one corner, hash brown in another and eggs, everything was mixed together well. People literally got up and left their tables in droves due to lack of service. People waiting to be seated turned around and left as waiters passed them without even looking their way. Luckily, we were able to get a table for two immediately, but that's where the "speed" ended. The Service & Timing: It took about 15 minutes after being seated for a waiter to check in with us--and that was only after we reminded them we were ready to order. Our food arrived about 20 minutes later, but without silverware. We had to wait another 5 minutes for them to bring some, so our dishes were unfortunately getting cold by the time we could actually eat. The Food: * Crabs Benedict: This was a major disappointment. It was honestly the worst I've had. I couldn't taste the crab meat at all, and both the bread and the hollandaise sauce were lousy and tasteless. I'd recommend skipping this one. * French Skillet Dish: My wife ordered this with country-style potatoes. It was "decent," though it's worth noting they serve it on a regular plate rather than an actual skillet. * Drinks: We ordered a vanilla latte and a pistachio latte. The pistachio latte was served lukewarm initially, but to their credit, the staff was happy to swap it out for a fresh, hot one. Ambiance & Facilities: The overall look and feel of the restaurant are very nice, which explains the crowd. However, the restrooms were underwhelming--specifically, they were quite dirty and only had one urinal, which isn't ideal for a high-volume brunch spot. For my sandwich, I would have liked it more if it was fresh cranberry sauce instead of canned cranberry sauce. And unique bread choices instead of plain white bread, or at least bread that is toasted to prevent sogginess. Soup was a bit thick. The pancake was also ok. Four stars though because we had really good service. Waitress told us these were $6.99 each, however, that was just for the base pancake. She didn't say that there is an additional $2.99 charge for any specialty pancake. The pancakes were very large, but they ended up being $10 each. Grrrrr. The red velvet pancake seemed a little undercooked in the middle. The chocolate chip one did not have the chocolate chips evenly distributed throughout the pancake. Other than that, they were pretty fluffy and the kids enjoyed them. I ordered a chelada beer was kinda flat, I ordered a vanilla iced coffee and it was so gross tastes like water down iced milk no caffeine at all, they exchanged it for a regular coffee and the coffee was also bad. Our waiter was attentive and very helpful. I ordered the trainers protein omelette it was very delicious, I also ordered a pancake with had to be the worst cardboard tasting pancake; it was so hard not fluffy at all and tasted blandly. I visited on Friday, Aug. 22 for breakfast to kick off a little weekend getaway with my mom for my birthday. The restaurant is artsy and clean, with plenty of space. We were seated immediately and service was super speedy. I got the smoked salmon "toast" which was basically all of my favorite elements of a smoked salmon bagel, with some egg whites on the side for extra protein. It was definitely a generous amount of food and fed me once for breakfast...and the other half was great a few hours later for a little light car snack! I've become so accustomed to ordering skimpy portioned smoked salmon bagels and this one was refreshingly generous. When our server (I wish I could remember his name because he was outstanding) found out that we were celebrating my birthday, he brought me a little birthday waffle for dessert. It was a really tasty waffle, and I might just have to order a full sized one upon my next visit! I love crispy waffles and this one was perfectly done, with fresh berries and whipped cream on top. Our server Alexis was fabulous! Excellent customer service and great food! It was our first time visiting Toast, we chose this spot due to being a mid point for us meeting. We shared a mimosa flight, 4 flavors served and all were tasty. We both ordered the Montecristo sandwich, sweet potato fries for me, truffle fries for my friend. All of the food that passed by to other tables looks great as well. We both agree it was a great experience and look forward to meeting here again. Toast was a good find! We were a group of 14 people and they don't take reservations but did allow us to call in a bit earlier. Their menu is extensive and had a lot of great options. Stopped by for brunch w a group of friends on a Sunday morning! It was pretty busy, but in a lively way. When we were seated, we got a super friendly server and he really made our experience a lot better. I ordered a California Benedict w hashbrowns and it was delicious! My friends and I also got a mimosa pitcher and it was hilariously mostly champagne (we appreciated that). Overall great experience! Super good service and delicious food.
