We stopped here for brunch on the way back from Milwaukee and it was DELICIOUS!! I'm not sure if they take reservations or not. I'm assuming not, judging by all the people waiting outside. We were quoted a 1/2 hour wait and that's how long it took. First off service was awesome. It's the little things.... like asking my friend if she wanted a coffee cup to go or checking to see if we needed to order anything else from the menu to go. I had a breakfast skillet which was delicious and the hash browns were seasoned fantastically. I also liked the veggies weren't too thinly sliced, so you really get to taste each one. I substituted my English muffin for pancakes which were good. The only thing I was iffy on was the black bean chili. I didn't really care for it, but otherwise everything else was great! read more

Egg-cellent! We've been to multiple Egg Harbor locations for the past 10 years or so and have never been disappointed. I usually go for lunch food...the burger, door county melt and all wraps are delicious! For breakfast, pancakes are delicious, but scramblers are super. The specialty French toast and pancakes are great as well. I've never been to Egg Harbor without it being packed! It's nice that you can call ahead and get on the waiting list to avoid some of the wait. This is a great, casual spot for breakfast or lunch. read more

They have a separate gluten free menu with breakfast items well beyond the standard eggs and gluten free pancakes (think chilaquiles, cinnamon rolls, and more). I'd been dying to try shakshouka and was stoked to see it on their gluten free menu! With gluten free toast on the side, it was not only like the real thing, it was darn good. The food came out crazy fast, and the service was pretty great too. We had maybe four different waitresses stop by our table but each was so kind, quick, and efficient. If you're nearby, don't hesitate to check this place out for a quick, no-frills breakfast spot with more than just your run-of-the-mill menu options. read more

We had a horrible experience waiting for a table on Saturday 2/24/2024 and because of it I will not return to this establishment. Obviously I am aware they are busy on Saturday mornings but I was told the wait would be 30 minutes for 2. Had the young man said it would be an hour I would gone somewhere else. You are even able to see your place in the que online. After 45 minutes and seeing larger parties that had checked in after us being sat and our que online sitting at "1 table ahead of us" for 10 minutes I inquired what the hold up was. I found out that there are actually 6 tables still ahead of us and that we still had another 20 minute wait. The reason I was given this additional wait time was that "big parties had shown up." So if you are a table for 2 be prepared to be bumped for larger parties. We had a busy day planned and we didn't have 45 minutes to waste as this restaurant and be mistreated. read more

Over the years, Egg Harbor Café has been a go-to for a nice breakfast. My particular favorite dish is the Farmer's Market Benedict, and it's one of the lowest calorie options too. Their menu, always with plentiful options, now lists calorie counts. The service has always been friendly and food is prepared quickly. It can get very busy, but while you wait there is complimentary coffee available near the front doors. Our most recent experience, on a Sunday: The place was filled and probably 20-30 people waiting. With a party of two, they said 20-25 minutes wait. I had major doubts considering the amount of people in front of us, but we were called in 22 minutes! Staff was attentive and food was ready in probably 10-15 minutes. Given we were only two, that could have attributed to the shorter time. Overall, I consider this one of the best breakfast spots I've ever been to. I highly recommend it. If you plan to go on a busy day like Sunday, be prepared to wait, but if you're patient enough and have people to chat with, it's not a problem. read more

Great brunch place with awesome selection of breakfast and sandwiches and nice staff. One thing I recommend is their fresh squeezed orange juice with your meal. My ultimate favorite breakfast food in general is an Egg Benedict. The Farmer's Market Benedict has two delicious poached eggs on top of a toasted English muffin with fresh baby spinach, mushrooms, tomato, and fresh basil. I thought the huge tomato slice was too much but everything else on the Benedict was fine. In addition, it comes with some great breakfast potatoes that doesn't feel too greasy and you can actually taste the potato. The portion was just perfect. Oh, Egg Harbor, once my favorite place for breakfast, how far you have fallen. I stopped into the Glenview location in needed of sustenance, thinking I would be happy with whatever I ordered. There was a gentleman in front of me and after a minute or two he was seated. I was not acknowledged and felt compelled to say something to be noticed. The man ahead of me sympathized with me over the lack of recognition. I was finally noticed and agreed to accept a table. Coffee came quickly, but I had trouble getting a servers attention, despite what appeared to be a manager talking to another patron. I asked a random server if I could place my order and was rewarded with a menu. Wait some more. Server came and took my order of eggs over easy, English muffin, turkey sausage and potatoes. They should be able to cook this with their eyes closed. Maybe they did. Two tiny eggs peeked out beneath the potatoes. Served over easy, but with some white uncooked slime to enhance my choice. The English muffin was ok, as was the sausage. Not great just ok. The potatoes ended up in the garbage as they were way too salty and I was unable to eat them. Very disappointed, I told someone about the potatoes and paid my bill at the register instead of online. Then I was gone, never to return. There are too many breakfast places that know how to make a stellar breakfast that I will not be coming to or recommending this place. read more

I have been here twice for breakfast, super yummy! I love the quaint feel of the restaurant and everyone that works there is very friendly and attentive. It's a popular spot for brunch on Sundays so we had a bit of a wait when we got there, around 12:45pm. Only about 15min though, no complaints there. The food itself is very good. Doesn't lack taste or quantity, that's for sure. I got a skillet the first time I came and the cinnamon roll french toast the second time I came, both were delicious. They brought out a full pitcher of coffee for my family and I and our waiter was very good at making sure our pitcher was kept full. (I forgot his name, but he was wearing a cheer skirt for a halloween costume contest amongst the employees!) My mom got the Italian Waffle special they had and that was definitely my favorite thing that I've tasted from Egg Harbor. Parking was easy for us but it can be a bit of a hassle at The Glen on a weekend. One of the best brunch places you can hope to find. My wife and I stopped here for a late breakfast. She had the Italian French toast, which was massive. We had to take 3/4 of it home. Bread was fresh and was topped with fresh fruit. Might have been the best I've ever had. I had one of the egg scrambles. The eggs were fluffy, not dry, and perfect. I got the impression that what they cook is from scratch, not prepackaged. As for the service, it was fast and friendly. What I especially liked was the way you're treated by everyone who work there, not just the wait person assigned to you. Best brunch and best lunch!!! I wish I can make it here more often. They have good food, friendly staff, and just an overall nice environment. I have had the BEST egg benedicts here: the barrington and farmer's market being my ultimate favorites. The chorizo chilaquiles are also on the top of my list. If you like eggs then this is the place for you. My husband always does a skillet, scrambler, or omelet (always asking for more bacon). I'm tempted to order their classic burger when I do come here for lunch, but I can never say no to delicious breakfast food. Maybe the burger with a fried egg on top would be my go-to. Great location and atmosphere no matter the size of your group, but they get busy FAST. Be prepared to wait most days unless you come early to grab a seat or have a smaller party. You'll definitely need to wait longer if you have a party larger than 4. In my opinion, it's worth the wait. I can't get enough of the Egg Harbor Café. So so good. My friend recommended this place to me as a hometown favorite, and I took my dad and sister here for a birthday brunch! The salmon and Bavarian benedicts (anything on potato pancakes is just to die for), and the lemon poppyseed pancakes -- all amazing. All the small details were there too -- the side of fresh fruit was wonderful (you have to pay extra for that in NY), and my English muffin side was so buttery and warm. My dad's breakfast potatoes were air-fryer level crisp, and my sister's maple syrup was even warmed up.
