    Shredded Potatoes with Bacon
    Jarriae A.

Stopped here after the 4 on the 4th race and was pleasantly surprised! All of the staff were so kind and personable. Very kind people working here. Our server was great, very attentive, and she checked on us frequently which I appreciated. The restaurant was super cozy and homey feeling. The food was delicious! The shredded potatoes were to die for. I think they were the best shredded potatoes I've had at a breakfast place, honestly. We also got the avocado toast, waffles, bacon, and harbor potatoes. All very good! We picked a random breakfast place to go to, and now I can't wait to try the one in the city! Definitely has been added to my list of spots to go to.

Father's Day @ 7:30. Service was just ok. Our server took our drink order (2 coffees and waters), and then disappeared for 5 minutes. Considering there were only a handful of tables, I don't think it should have taken so long. They delivered oat milk for my daughter's coffee, but didn't bring my cream. Another couple of minutes of waiting. Ordered banana bread French toast with sugar free syrup, a custom omelet, and avocado toast. Food came out unbelievably fast. French toast came with a small bottle of pure maple syrup, but without the sugar free syrup. French toast was warm, not hot. Had to wait for sugar free syrup. Omelet was delicious. Avocado toast was very good. There was a $2 charge for the bottle of syrup I did not order. While the server did remove it from the check, I don't understand why the charge was there in the first place. Do they automatically serve this syrup vs regular syrup, and then charge every customer for "fancy" syrup? An ok breakfast experience, but I wouldn't choose Egg Harbor again. There are much better breakfast restaurants out there.

Great breakfast spot tucked away from the hectic action of Oakbrook shopping center. Plenty of parking. Menu is breakfast and lunch. Skillets are well portioned. Salads are tasty and modern. Staff is friendly and helpful. Coffee is good .

The service is always great. Upon entry, guests are greeted with enthusiasm and warmth. I was carrying my tablet so the Host asked if I needed to be seated near an outlet...so thoughtful! The food is consistently great! Fresh, fluffy eggs, crispy potatoes all perfectly seasoned. My server, Josh, was so polite and kind. I will continue to patronize Egg Harbor Cafe.

The restaurant is very inviting and comfortable feel. The staff warm and friendly. The menu good options especially meat for breakfast including chicken sausage and turkey bacon which isn't very common everywhere. The ambiance pleasant and makes for an inviting experience. My coffee was enjoyable and well balanced... I was very pleased My meal very rich and tasty but the potatoes were a bit hard for me so I did eat many of them. The pancakes were really tasty and I don't enjoy pancakes as much usually because of their thickness but these were perfect and thinner. Overall I would return for more..

Cute clean friendly place to grab breakfast. The service was super fast! I am a potato gal, and I wished the potatoes were crispy. Overall it was a good place, just not anything super special.

Visited Egg Harbor Cafe for brunch. I ordered the Cozy Scramble and coffee. The food came out incredibly fast, in the time it took the waitress to walk away from our table with our orders and washing my hands, I came back and my lukewarm food was already at the table. My food was good but again, room temp. I did enjoy the chunks of brie scattered throughout my scramble. Skip the coffee though. It's not good. We went to another coffee shop afterwards to get drinkable coffee. Great service. Everyone was very friendly!

Egg Harbor Cafe is an amazing place for breakfast. We stopped here on our way to enjoy the fall foliage in Morton Arboretum. I ordered the chia pudding and it was delicious! It was beautifully plated, super yummy, and filling without being too heavy. The menu is very expansive, so there is really something for everyone. The service was excellent as well. Our server was polite, efficient, and very welcoming. I look forward to coming back!

There's a reason why I keep coming back to Egg Harbor Cafe! The food is hot and made to order, the service is spot on, and the wait staff are always very friendly. Not to mention, the atmosphere is peaceful and pleasant!

Sam S. From the Oak Brook location was hands down the best waiter I've had in YEARS. Friendly, attentive, amazing demeanor and very timely as well. He should teach a class on hospitality in a small restaurant setting. Our food was really tasty, nice portions, and I'm actually looking forward to returning sooner rather than later just so I can experience that level of experience again by Sam, as I'd be asking for him by name.

My friend and I went for breakfast here the other day. There was no wait and we were seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly, offering up her recommendations--which is always helpful. The food was so freaking good. Since it was a special occasion, I ordered a breakfast alcoholic beverage and it was delish! We scored a booth, and that was delightful! They have huge, oversized booths and it allowed my friend and I to have a private conversation while still being in the middle of it all! I highly recommend this place!

I went there 4 times for my breakfast while in Chicago. It tells a lot about this place. The breakfast options are so healthy, I love it. The price is reasonable. The menu is online, you can scan and access those from your smartphone. The food was super fresh and tasty. I definitely want to go back there again.

We have never been here before, so with Annie we were off to an excellent start! I ordered a Diet Cola, no ice and she said is Pepsi okay? I strongly prefer Pepsi to Coke so a win! I really hate any American breakfast and it is not because I am a vegan. Every American breakfast place is basically like 3 options - eggs and potatoes, pancakes/waffles/French toast etc. I find it very hard to believe that nobody might prefer a pizza, chicken nuggets a burger etc. Not everybody in the US has to want the same exact thing for breakfast every day and no other place is open in the morning. My American husband loves going out for breakfast and judges a place by it's Eggs Benedict. He said the ones that they serve are not bad but he would never return here, which he rarely says about American breakfast places.

Not their fault but I didn't hv my glasses on and couldnt see that they added HONEY (lots of it) to a Mexican skillet. Aside from that they approx 10 potato cubes in this skillet were swimming in this honey, soggy and with a lot of green pepper, corn and just "blech"! Took one bite and asked if I cld try something else. Staff was kind and allowed me to order what I thought wld be quick, easy and tasty - corned beef hash with eggs over easy hash browns. What i got, youll see in the photo below along with the corned beef hash I made this morning (sorry, I broke the yoke before I took the pic). It literally turned my stomach to see that mess on my plate. I got physically nauseous and left the table to make sure I didn't get sick at this birthday brunch. Other food items seem to be ok, my daughter-in-law ate her Mexican mess without complaint, thats cuz she's a little angel. Personally I love the atmosphere of the place, reminds me of an old 80's sorta upscale diner. But do NOT order the corned beef hash!

I was there from 9am-11am on a Friday and it was not packed nor did a family use the table I wanted while I was there. No one came in with 3 strollers either. Aside from that, I was trying to be helpful so the stroller wouldn't get in the way of customers and wait staff. The host basically made it harder for them, not me. I started with the hazelnut oat mocha and this was delicious. This was the highlight of my time there. For food I tried the Shakshouka and it was not good. The pouched eggs were not cooked. From my pictures - it looks like the eggs were cracked in the dish and the chef called it a day. I didn't chance eating it, I ate the pita it came with and left very hungry. I'm giving Beatrix a generous 2 due to the space being beautiful and my latte being great. Unfortunately this is not a spot I'll be returning to.

It came with a side of fruit that didn't look the best, but the wrap itself made up for it. For drinks, we had water, tomato juice, and an iced vanilla latte. The latte had way too much vanilla and was overly sweet for my taste. Service was great--our waiter was attentive, the restaurant was clean, and the food came out quickly.
