    Salad to go

Great breakfast spot tucked away from the hectic action of Oakbrook shopping center. Plenty of parking. Menu is breakfast and lunch. Skillets are well portioned. Salads are tasty and modern. Staff is friendly and helpful. Coffee is good .

The service is always great. Upon entry, guests are greeted with enthusiasm and warmth. I was carrying my tablet so the Host asked if I needed to be seated near an outlet...so thoughtful! The food is consistently great! Fresh, fluffy eggs, crispy potatoes all perfectly seasoned. My server, Josh, was so polite and kind. I will continue to patronize Egg Harbor Cafe.

The restaurant is very inviting and comfortable feel. The staff warm and friendly. The menu good options especially meat for breakfast including chicken sausage and turkey bacon which isn't very common everywhere. The ambiance pleasant and makes for an inviting experience. My coffee was enjoyable and well balanced... I was very pleased My meal very rich and tasty but the potatoes were a bit hard for me so I did eat many of them. The pancakes were really tasty and I don't enjoy pancakes as much usually because of their thickness but these were perfect and thinner. Overall I would return for more..

Cute clean friendly place to grab breakfast. The service was super fast! I am a potato gal, and I wished the potatoes were crispy. Overall it was a good place, just not anything super special.

Visited Egg Harbor Cafe for brunch. I ordered the Cozy Scramble and coffee. The food came out incredibly fast, in the time it took the waitress to walk away from our table with our orders and washing my hands, I came back and my lukewarm food was already at the table. My food was good but again, room temp. I did enjoy the chunks of brie scattered throughout my scramble. Skip the coffee though. It's not good. We went to another coffee shop afterwards to get drinkable coffee. Great service. Everyone was very friendly!

There's a reason why I keep coming back to Egg Harbor Cafe! The food is hot and made to order, the service is spot on, and the wait staff are always very friendly. Not to mention, the atmosphere is peaceful and pleasant!

Egg Harbor Cafe is an amazing place for breakfast. We stopped here on our way to enjoy the fall foliage in Morton Arboretum. I ordered the chia pudding and it was delicious! It was beautifully plated, super yummy, and filling without being too heavy. The menu is very expansive, so there is really something for everyone. The service was excellent as well. Our server was polite, efficient, and very welcoming. I look forward to coming back!

Sam S. From the Oak Brook location was hands down the best waiter I've had in YEARS. Friendly, attentive, amazing demeanor and very timely as well. He should teach a class on hospitality in a small restaurant setting. Our food was really tasty, nice portions, and I'm actually looking forward to returning sooner rather than later just so I can experience that level of experience again by Sam, as I'd be asking for him by name.

Great place!! Delicious breakfast! Very friendly staff!! Stopped here on our way back to the city after spending the night in the burbs. So happy we did! Had a dirty chai latte, amazing!! Each of our dishes were great!!

My friend and I went for breakfast here the other day. There was no wait and we were seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly, offering up her recommendations--which is always helpful. The food was so freaking good. Since it was a special occasion, I ordered a breakfast alcoholic beverage and it was delish! We scored a booth, and that was delightful! They have huge, oversized booths and it allowed my friend and I to have a private conversation while still being in the middle of it all! I highly recommend this place!

I went there 4 times for my breakfast while in Chicago. It tells a lot about this place. The breakfast options are so healthy, I love it. The price is reasonable. The menu is online, you can scan and access those from your smartphone. The food was super fresh and tasty. I definitely want to go back there again.

Egg Harbors are kind of all the same, but you might never find this one without GPS as it doesn't face the road! Good stuff: - if you want a decadent hot chocolate, this is the one! - berries instead of eggs were tasty and lightened up the biscuits and gravy - they have a separate gluten free menu which my friend needed A few quibbles today: - the biscuits were pretty gummy from the get-go, not on par with The Hen House or Southern Cafe - I do not like their wobbly, lopsided plates!! Overall, decent spot though not the best around for breakfast

    Monica happy!

For drinks, we started with the Tangerine Dream, which reminded me of an orange creamsicle, and the Morning Meditation, which definitely had more earthy flavors. Both drinks were really pretty in color and nicely presented. For food, we ordered the Million Dollar Bacon--it's a very specific flavor, but not bad at all. The brown sugar sweetness with a bit of spice worked well together. The Elevated Egg Sandwich was really good; the buns were soft, the avocado was well-seasoned, and the bacon was cooked perfectly. The potatoes were seasoned nicely, and the onions added extra flavor. The Smoked Salmon Frittata was okay--not my favorite. The potatoes were great, but the salmon didn't really pair well with the eggs in my opinion. We also got the chocolate chip pancakes to go, and those were delicious later on--super big and very satisfying. Our waiter was attentive throughout the meal, which made the experience even better. Overall, a solid spot with great drinks and some standout dishes.

We have never been here before, so with Annie we were off to an excellent start! I ordered a Diet Cola, no ice and she said is Pepsi okay? I strongly prefer Pepsi to Coke so a win! I really hate any American breakfast and it is not because I am a vegan. Every American breakfast place is basically like 3 options - eggs and potatoes, pancakes/waffles/French toast etc. I find it very hard to believe that nobody might prefer a pizza, chicken nuggets a burger etc. Not everybody in the US has to want the same exact thing for breakfast every day and no other place is open in the morning. My American husband loves going out for breakfast and judges a place by it's Eggs Benedict. Just kept getting more and more crowded to the point where I was being shoved into the bathroom hall behind a sea of other waiting customers. The ambiance is loud, overwhelming chaos. Perhaps they need a better system or take on less customers. I wasted my Sunday morning in there. Definitely will only be returning in my nightmares! Not worth it! Plenty of better options in the area that actually WANT your business.

The jerk chicken was quite good and I would love that as just an entree or in a salad. The fondue came with variety of veggies, and croutons and fruit. It was a great starter to share. For entrees - we got the Filet Mignon Cobb Salad and the Chicken Rotisseiere Salad. I loved my chicken salad and the honey lime dressing was delicious - especially paired with the bacon and corn bread croutons. It was delicious and my husband really enjoyed his steak salad. But, I am reviewing the Lombard location. The selection was good and fresh, although some of their items are a bit pricey. I ordered cake pops, brownies, and a chocolate chip cookie. They make their pastries at this location, so you'll probably get the freshest selection at the Lombard location. I had bought a gift card from Costco for Sweet Reserve. I admit if I hadn't bought it, and received a discount at Costco for it, I probably would not have noticed the store. It's in a small strip mall on Roosevelt road which has hundreds of strip malls off the road. The store itself is clean and well kept. It does have a limited selection of products but they were all pretty good. The brownies are very frudgey, just the way I like them. The cake pops are sweet, but a little dry. The cookie has a lot of chips in them. Overall, I liked the place.

Close at 10pm but if you need longer later hours a 1am tea shop is about a quarter mile down the road with good options also. Parking lot with plenty of parking. My highlight is that they have booths. Plenty of tables and seating. Good menu options for lattes, iced, hot, espresso, etc. Reasonable priced and they have 20oz coffee. The service was nice as the girl was kind but she didn't seem to understand me well and she didn't know if the coffee was Turkish or not. Therefore, I ordered an Americano with their homemade pistachio sauce. It was a nice beverage. I also ordered a Turkish bread with ground beef. It too was delicious, hot and fresh. The ambiance is inviting. The pastries and mini to small cake options were quite beautiful. The nose level was very quiet until little ones came in. Still tolerable but if you are studying and it's busy don't forget your headphones. Lol. I studied for about 3 hours and I would definitely return again.
