We love Egg. We make a point of going here on each visit to Rehoboth Beach. The wait can get long on the weekends but it does move pretty fast, so put your name in and walk over to Rise Up for a cup of coffee or tea while you wait. (Egg also lets you walk in and order drinks in plastic cups while you're standing around as well). I think the outdoor seating is new-- at least it wasn't there the last time we came. It's lovely! When we come to OC MD we always take the long scenic route and go through Rehoboth, Dewey, Bethany, etc. first. I like to stop at some stores in Rehoboth on the way down. Since we left earlier than normal and we were hungry because we haven't eaten yet, I suggested getting breakfast in Rehoboth. My husband was hesitant about doing it cause it was a Saturday and thought it would be really crowded, but we decided to do it. It ended up being about a 45 minute wait. We went in the museum across the street to kill some time. We got the fresh squeezed OJ, it was very good but a small cup. I couldn't decide between the crab Benedict and the lobster Benedict. They served single or double portions of each, so I asked if I could get 1 of each and they said yes. I didn't get any discount for getting the double portion though, they charged me the price of 2 singles. (You get a slight discount if you get the double ) ( for instance I think the lobster one was $16 for a single and $26 for the double. The crab was like $11 for a single and $21 for the double. They charged me both single prices and I didn't get any kind of discount that you would get for ordering 2. Which is ok I guess, because it would probably be too difficult to calculate the difference between the 2. But if I was paying for 2 single meals than I should have gotten a double order of the potatoes then. It didn't really look like it was a double portion, but I don't know. Anyway, the Benedicts were good. I liked their hollandaise sauce and how it had a mustard flavor to it. The crab and lobster were perfectly cooked. The English muffin even tasted really good. The portions were a little on the small side, but I know seafoods expensive and the price of crab just went up. My husband got the sage sausage over biscuits. He thought it was pretty good but he had better ones about a month ago. It was a little skimpy on the sausage and didn't really have a lot of sage flavor. But he still enjoyed it . read more

With the awesome reviews, I was expecting to be blown away by Egg. Unfortunately, I thought it was just okay. When we put our name down, we were quoted a 40 minute wait. However, we waited about 20 as people before us weren't there when their names were called. So definitely stick around! The menu and pictures all looked promising. Decided on a double lobster eggs benedict. One of my benedicts had a hair on it, which our waitress quickly replaced with a new benedict. Maybe I should have taken that as a sign to order something else as the dish was just okay. At $24, I was expecting more lobster or at least chunkier pieces. The poached egg was cooked well and spread nicely as I cut into it. Both the lobster and hollandaise could have used more seasoning. The home fries were unevenly cooked, with some underdone. I tried a bite of the Egg burger, which was better than my benedict. Wasn't cooked to medium as asked, though. At $6, the kid's hot dog was a joke. Definitely should have been $4 max. Really cute brunch place!!! My boyfriend and I were in the area for a short beach trip, and saw this place had excellent reviews! There is a public parking lot and street parking, but its not alot. I can see this place getting busy, which makes parking more difficult to find. Luckily, my boyfriend and I went on a Thursday morning and found a parking spot!! We sat outside, and it was such lovely weather! It was nice and sunny!!! Our server provided AMAZING service. He made sure everything was okay and checked back frequently. My boyfriend ordered a burger which had pimento cheese, siracha candied bacon (btw YUM, I can just snack on this), egg, beef, lettuce and tomato. Im not a big fan of pimento cheese, but it worked really well with this burger. He thoroughly enjoyed this burger. He also ordered the orange crush cocktail and we were surprised how big the drink for is!! It was citrusy, sweet, and you can still taste the alcohol. I ordered the lemon crepes and W O W, Yah girl was SHOOK. It was sweet, acidic, and delicious. The lemon crepes were amazing and had that bit of a sour taste to it from the lemon. Egg was such a delight. We were staring in Rehoboth for the weekend and we're recommend to try this place out. We are so happy that we did. The service was great. We didn't have to wait too long (30 minutes) for our table. I'm a lover of French toast so I of course had to try out the peanut butter toast. It was so GOOD. The peanut butter was infused within the bread so I tasted it in every bite. We also tried the Lobster Eggs Benedict. That was also delicious. The menu had so many delicious items. We had some high expectations for this place and it was a disappointment overall. It's really nice inside and is well decorated and presents perfectly as an upscale beach town cafe. We got placed in the back where most of the tables had young children and the parents really weren't doing much to keep them calm. So there were quite a few random loud exclamations. I understand the restaurant has few options and relies on parents really being involved about parents keeping their kids contained. I also understand it's getting harder for parents these days especially when they needed coffee as much as we did in that moment. But we don't have kids, we're not used to the noise young kids bring, PLUS, as mentioned earlier, we hadn't had coffee yet. We ordered and waited quite a while for the food. My breakfast sandwich was ok. Not great, but not bad. My wife's omelette was pretty good according to her, but the bacon was really burnt (fully black in the center). We didn't say anything thinking that was intentional, but seeing the perfect bacon photos on Yelp means that it wasn't, and I worry instead of acknowledging the issue and fixing it before we were served they served it and would just deal with it if we said something which should not be how a place that charges what they do should be doing. I do want to add that our waitress was great, and our coffee cups never ran empty. We also really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. But we won't be returning. read more

Bottom Line: Terrific staff and tasty breakfast. My husband and I visited Egg on a chilly October morning. As of the time of this review Egg is only seating patrons outside due to COVID. The tables are nicely spread apart and there is plenty of fresh air so that was reassuring albeit a bit nippy at around 55 or 60 degrees. Also, all staff members are wearing masks correctly. Given the chilly weather, we started with hot coffee and the staff was great about keeping our cups full and warm. For breakfast my husband had a classic eggs and bacon breakfast and I had the Traditional Benedict. Something really nice about Egg is that you can get a full order of benedicts or a half order. I was out for a hot and hearty breakfast so I did the full order. Both meals were served with breakfast potatoes and while I am usually very neutral on breakfast potatoes I thought Egg's were really good. Overall everything was very tasty. Even on an early weekend morning about 7:30am in October it was tricky to find street parking near Egg. We ended up parking across the way in the Information Center parking lot but only after seeing the note on the door that they were closed for the season. read more

Our family has been coming to rehoboth for years and we're so sad it took us so long to find Egg! We arrived early in the morning for breakfast and were seated immediately. Our waitress, Emily, was more than kind and the manager also stopped over to ask us how our meal was. Long story short, we were raving about it to him! The siracha candied bacon was phenomenal. The bacon itself was great quality and extremely crispy. The carmelization wasn't over powering, perfectly sweet and then you feel the heat from the siracha! The two types of Benedict that we had were incredible as well. Lots of crab and lobster, they did not skimp out. The seafood was extremely fresh and very flavorful. Even the home fries were delicious! They were perfectly crisp and very well seasoned. Overall, food was great and the service was exceptional. So glad that we got to stop in. We stopped for brunch at Egg while staying for my first trip to Rehoboth! It's such a cute little place with a ton of outdoor seating under some light cover. It was very busy so we had to get in the virtual line but luckily we were staying across the street so waiting was easy! We got to sit on the front porch, which was very comfortable and refreshing. I ended up getting the biscuits and gravy and it was very delicious. It was a ton of food to eat and the prices were very affordable for a nice big brunch. We tried the candied sriracha bacon too. That was very interesting but strangely delicious? I thought it would hate it but I ended up liking it. We also got a mimosa kit, which was a bomb deal. We got the peach one and it came with enough juice and champagne for all 4 of us to have a nice full mimosa. After brunch we were all full and happy. Our sever was Willy was handling all the outside diners due to a lack of staff. Willy did a fantastic job. He was personable, polite and very good at his job. What an absolute amazing local establishment. My daughter wanted to come here to celebrate her 15th birthday. When asking locals where to eat for breakfast/brunch they mentioned this establishment. The staff did an amazing job during the COVID-19 pandemic. They had ample outdoor seating, and they did a great job with enforcing social distancing. My daughter opted for a breakfast burrito, my niece had the traditional egg Benedict. I myself tried the daily special which was the frittata served with local fresh fruit and home fries. It was absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh to include our mock mimosas which the staff provided for my daughter's birthday. The restrooms were also clean and The staff was extra friendly! We had an excellent dining experience. My Eastern shore Benedict was wonderful. It had a lot of fresh lump crab. The egg was perfectly cooked and the yolk was warm and runny. The hollandaise sauce tasted homemade and was absolutely delicious. the home fries/ potatoes were also wonderful. The traditional Benny was equally as delicious. It is difficult trying to convince my family that there is more to life than simple diners for breakfast when I picked this pricey spot that specializes in breakfast when the dishes presented are fairly mediocre, or in some cases close to inedible. I wound up with Egg on my face, but not in a good way... I will say we came in mid week in the off season, but I don't know if that excuse holds much water for a place that is open year 'round and charges close to nearly double for what we paid for breakfast at a nearby diner. The place is comforting with its rustic farm house quality and artist touches are strewn about the place. It felt light and airy. They even have outdoor seating for warmer weather, but not much of a view being on the main road. I usually drink coffee black, but couldn't do so here. No one thought the coffee was anything special. My mom ordered simple eggs over easy with sausage - she isn't usually too adventurous and found the sausage spicy for her tastes. My step-dad ordered the vegetable frittata, a "special" that wasn't so special. It was so dry he had to add ketchup(!), even with that he barely finished half. I tried a piece of the brick-like frittata to confirm, not good. My wife had the peanut butter stuffed french toast and she enjoyed it - hard to go wrong there. I personally liked you can order benedicts as a single allowing you to add a side item so I went for the eastern shore benedict which I thought was pretty good. The hollandaise was delicate and lemony, the egg offered a ton of yolk, nice lump crab meat, but the English muffin was a bit underdone, or stale making it hard to cut. I got a side of house made biscuit with sausage gravy. The biscuit was stale and hard as a rock - I needed a hack saw to cut it effectively. Disappointing dish. None of us enjoyed the potatoes with these dishes, cooked dark, bland and dry. All totaled around $60-$70 (+tip) if I recall, which my step dad graciously paid since it allowed my family to give me the usual jabs and jokes at my expense. My folks like to joke this is "Yuppie food" (Yuppies were the precursor to Hipsters FYI) and stated that they don't mind paying if the quality was there, and it wasn't.
