Kung Pao Chicken Lunch, excellent very Chicken with Fresh Mushroom
Bryan B.

The food and service was very good. The ingredients were very fresh, the meal arrived quickly as well. (Yelp put in CHICKEN AND MUSHROOM, it's not!) thanks Yelp.

"Fried rice" and thrown away sesame chicken.
Stacey K.

Wanted to venture out and support a local business. Orderd from Egg Roll King East. Got the food within 12 mins. That worried us.... ordered fried rice as you can see below. I called and asked what this was. The mean rude lady said it's fried rice but no veggies or eggs because I didn't order that lol. She very rudely told me for 6.25 more I could add the eggs and veggies. But yet up charged for "fried rice". Food was soooo bland. Called and spoke to the lady she told us to bring her back the food. Extremely rude and again and hung on me. I highly recommend spice 8. Much better food and customer service.

The bar.

I ordered the shrimp spring rolls and a small rare steak pho, the spring rolls were not very good I think the cilantro was too dominant, and overpriced (every other Thai/viet restaurant I've been to in Aurora has been about $1-2 cheaper). The pho was good though and the small portion is well sized in my opinion and a great deal. I was served by an older gentleman and a younger lady; I'm not sure if something was lost in translation between me and the man but he was pretty loud with me and very dismissive when I asked for the WiFi (he just said no WiFi although they had one, maybe employees only I really don't know). He didn't speak to me much and wouldn't reply after I'd thank him for serving me the food or filling waters, and I noticed he was a lot friendlier to the other guests. He also was staring at me a lot as I'd eat which made me uncomfortable. It's possible I'm overthinking it but I honestly felt like I gave a lot of opportunities to kind of establish a little bit friendlier conversation and he just wasn't with it. I started to think that maybe he was worried I'd dine and dash since I came alone and whatever else he gathered from my appearance. It made me uneasy enough that I asked to pay before I finished eating because again I assumed that must have been why I was getting that kind of treatment. Regardless, I definitely won't come back. There's better pho out there and definitely places in the same genre of eating with a much better ambience.

There's a full bar, which I recommend you take advantage of. Pricing is pretty standard, about $15-$20 for an entree. I ordered the green curry with beef. It was delicious! My roommate ordered spring rolls and a Thai tea with boba. Her spring rolls fell apart, tasted mid, and the sauce didn't save it. Her drink also didn't hit; she didn't end up finishing it. I'm pretty torn about whether or not I want to return. If I did, it's because the staff were actually super nice and I'd wanna support nice people. Just might not order a spring roll or Thai tea next time

After finally making it out with my friends during my travels to Denver, I can definitely see why it was reviewed well enough to make it. The Banh Mi sold here aren't the typical Banh Mis you would find in Viet shops because they put their own twist on these traditional sandwiches. They have really unique options & a good variety of meat choices. It seems to have some French/Japanese/Korean influences woven into these creations. The menu in-store also offers detailed photos of whats inside as to help you make your very difficult decision on what to get. I personally got to try PHO-FRENCH DIP which features beef brisket. Upon first bite, it was delicious! The brisket is plenty. The hoisin & sriracha sauce paired with it all. The veggies appeared fresh & crunchy. The bread was fully baked in-store. Since it's a tribute to the french dip, they had their own rich pho broth type soup to dip it in which complemented the sandwich well. The dip was good enough to kinda drink as well. Overall, I felt the food offered here is great - you can't go wrong with any decision. My friends and I said that we were all impressed & would like to come back again if possible. I too would want to come back to try their braised pork belly next time because that looked good!

The mapo tofu tasted excellent and was spicy with plenty of minced pork. The same goes for the sautéed string beans. They were extremely delicious. As you can imagine, for a weather like this, the place was quite empty, but soon enough, other customers drifting in, ordering same hearty dishes, such as their signature pickled cabbage pot with pork, mixed veggie with pork ribs stew and yellow croaker with tofu stew. Besides the pickled cabbage pot with pork, also ordered sweet sour guo bao rou and dill with pork steamed dumplings. The pickled cabbage was crisp but tender, with a refreshing tang that wasn't overpowering. The pork belly were lean and soft. The broth balanced the sour and savory well, very flavorful and incredibly satisfying. Their sweet sour guo bao rou was among the best, if not the best, in town, perfectly fried with a crispy exterior and tender meat inside. The sweet-sour balance was spot-on, neither overly sour nor sweet and paired wonderfully with rice. Never tried their handmade dill with pork dumplings before. The skin of their Northeastern style dumplings was thin but chewy with generous fillings. The dill had a very distinctive aromatic taste but complemented the pork filling well. Also heard dill warmed the stomach, making it perfect for cold weather like this.
