A few issues I had with my first and only visit here: -ordering. It was a Monday $5 bowl day, but the self serve kiosk wasn't allowing sign in or discounts. No one greeted me and I awkwardly stood at the front while someone walked past me and didn't hear me say "excuse me" for help. 7 minutes to finally acknowledge me and take my order. -timing. I easily waited over, yes over, half an hour for food on a LUNCH break. Similar to other reviewers, I was not informed they were behind (there were maybe 5 others in the restaurant total) nor told there was an excessive wait for order at the counter style food. -food. 3/5 stars for the food. It was good, but overpriced ($18 for a bowl of noodles?) and enough so that I wouldn't return without some kind of push. This is a really god lunch spot for the DTC crew! They're quick, it's delicious, portion sizes are good. They're recently redid their sitting area to be more of a restaurant where they take your order and bring the food to you vs you ordering at the counter and then they bring it out. It was fine and I'll get used to it. Our server Mike, was very nice and very attentive, maybe a little too attentive, but he's young and will learn to "read the table". I don't eat at Fire Bowl Cafe nearly as much as I once did because of the higher prices. We have eaten here for years, now they have changed the menu and we will never go back. We ordered 2 menu items both orders were wrong. The chow fun was just dried out noodle with the wrong protein added. Also got the pad Thai protein wrong as well. It was take out so we didn't notice until we drove home. What used to be delicious fresh food is not worse than 3 day old left overs. Prices have really increased as well. Wonderful Friendly Service We stopped in about an hour before closing and the young man at the register where you order was cheerful and helpful. Went for lunch today with a friend. Got there at 11:30am to beat the rush. While there were people waiting for takeout orders we were one of the first people to sit down. Waited for well over a half hour for our food. Can't leave because you've already paid for it. Food was ok but if you're that backed up, it'd be more forgiving if an announcement was made if you're possibly short on help unless this is a daily thing. Once we walked in we we greeted by the lovely cashier. It was close to closing but she didn't rush us or made us feel like we had to hurry up and leave. When I ordered with my two kids she was patient and very helpful and informative. When our food was ready she even brought it out to us. I really wish I got her name because her service was above and beyond. The food was amazing and made to order. I got the Szechuan garlic and it was so flavorful with the steak. My son got the teriyaki and it was great as well. If we didn't live out of town this place would definitely be our go to not just for the delicious food but the amazing service we received. Place is a very chill place to dine in or take out its nice to eat in since you have pretty cool views. Workers are always nice. Food came out super fast the summer rolls are pretty good! This place used to be so good! What the heck happened?? I went tonight at 8pm and it was some of the worst food I've had. I've been a customer for over 2 years and visited this location 20+ times, ordering for my whole office. It was my birthday and I was raving about how great it was to my wife. We were in the area so we came in. It was terrible!! My chicken was undercooked to the point I didn't eat over half of it. It's almost like part of it didn't make it in the fryer. I couldn't even chew it. The crab rangoons were the same way. Almost as if a portion didn't get cooked. It was so bad. My wife couldn't believe how much I talked it up. There were two customers in the place, most of the tables were super dirty. I had to clean one myself as an employee walked by. Honestly what is happening with this place?!? It was almost $50. This place is wonderful. It's very clean and friendly. The food is delicious. I was disappointed recently though with the service. Two gentlemen came in 10 minutes after me and had their food within 5. My to go food sat on the counter in front of me while the attendants fixed menus and organized the area. I'm not sure who comes first in priority for dine in vs take out; but I shouldn't have had to ask if my food is ready. The owner was very kind and did offer me something for the delay. It's Thai.....and it's good! Prolly the best Miso Soup around. It's very good in flavor, packed with tofu and huge. A small cup is more the size of a bowl. The Pad Thai is also good (diners make their own level of heat) and when you ask for fried today, they fry it (so its a nice brown). The service is totally rad. On a first name basis from the moment you walk in up to the moment you leave. They deliver to your table and pick up after restaurant goer's so be sure to tip! The hot and sour soup from this place is unbelievable. Hands down best I've ever had. It's a work of art. Every time I do the crate your own stir fry/noodle bowls I'm thrilled. Every time I order the prepared dishes like sesame chicken etc. I'm not impressed. So moral of the story is make your own dish here. The lemongrass basil sauce is so so tasty. That's my go to sauce.
