This place is horrible. I should've listened to the guy at the UPS office next door and not try it out. I should've known just by the smell of the food once I got in the car, the food would be bad. Please Please spare yourself, do not waste your money. I consider myself a "foodie" and I love trying out new places. It's not gourmet or fancy; it's your basic tasty Chinese takeaway. We've tried many of the other Chinese/Japanese restaurants in the area that deliver, and Egg Rolls beats them by far! We usually get either sesame chicken, general tso's chicken, or sweet and sour chicken which are all perfect! Their fried rice is my favorite of all the local restaurants. I love their cheese puffs! This was the 1st time our office ordered from this place & it will definitely be the last. When we called to place the order there was extremely loud background noise which was very annoying, you could hear people talking & phones ringing. When we got our food it looked OK, nothing really great, especially the sweet & sour chicken, just plain and the fried rice was basically brown rice. After we all ate we all (6 of us) got sick...they use MSG which caused headaches and nausea to us all, one employee had to go home sick. In other words bad service & very bad food. Ordered from here several times for delivery. We have tried the General Tso's chicken, General Tso's shrimp, the Kung Pao chicken, and the shrimp with mixed vegetables. They were all delicious! We enjoyed them. The fried and white rice tasted freshly made (ie not all dried out). The pork and vegetable egg rolls are delicious. We order an extra order of vegatable egg rolls every time. Quck delivery. We have tried some of the other fast food chinese resturants in this area and we always come back to Egg Rolls. read more

Not sure where all the bad review are coming from because we have loved this place every single time. We've eaten in and ordered delivery and they are always fast with hot and tasty food. The person who answers the phone speaks very clear English and was super helpful in making sure we knew what was going to come with our meal, so we got exactly what we wanted (which means NO MUSHROOMS!) and enjoyed our meal at home. When I ask for spicy, I get SPICY which makes me very happy. Their Pu Pu Platter leaves a bit to be desired, so I would not recommend that particular appetizer, but I am addicted to their cheese puffs and their delicious pork egg rolls. Picked up a to go order today and this is the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. I tried it today for the first time and all of the food failed miserably. Everything tasted nasty and had a sour finish. Combination fried rice- FAIL, I give it no stars. We threw it away in our garbage. It was not even close to being a bad fried rice. Pepper Steak - The absolute worst Pepper Steak i have ever eaten. The meat did not have a beef flavor and it had a sour finish. Garlic Shrimp- Most garlic shrimp I eat at other restaurants taste the same so i know how it should taste. The garlic shrimp at this restaurant does not even come close to what garlic shrimp should taste like. Bottomline is that this restaurant serves sub par and actually terrible tasting chinese food. Don't believe me, try it for yourself and you will see what I am talking about. read more

THERE WAS HAIR NOT ONLY IN MY FOOD BUT MY ICED TEA!!!!! Now I know people will say it was mine but I am a bleach blonde, my best friend(who was sharing lo mein with me) has strawberry blonde hair. This is not a gourmet restaurant. I often order lunch from this place, and it's always great. The portions are huge, but I just save the leftovers for another meal. The staff is very nice, but does not speak English very well, so it's important to have your order repeated back to you before they start making it. They have the best sesame chicken! read more

This was a delivery order and the little service I got was terrible, these guys are somewhere between not having an idea of how to treat customers and ripping you off with false advertisements/coupons. My order was incomplete and when I called they just said that on my next order I would get credit for the missing items....like if I ever would order from them again. Regarding the taste of the food....I've microwaved better tasting frozen Chinese food. Will not order from them again and definitely not recommending. read more

I'm not one to write a negative review, but I feel I need to on this restaurant. We ordered crab Rangoon, steamed pork dumplings, chicken and pea shoots with fried rice and friend shrimp for our family meal this evening. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because the chicken was well seasoned. Otherwise, the batter was super thick, the Rangoon was super chewy, and the dumplings tasted super funky. Sorry...we won't be back, but I hope things get better before anyone else stops by. read more

Never been impressed with this place. I order it because it's one of a few places that deliver to south Tomball. (My fave being closed on Sundays) Tonight it took over an hour to deliver and the food was cold. Frozen Chinese food from the grocery store tastes better.....imo read more

I've never gotten good food here, other than the egg rolls which their restaurant is named after. Minced chicken lettuce wraps are half onion, very little other veggies. Cheaply made, and you can tell. Tempura shrimp? Heavily battered and fried, not tempura like at all! I will never order here again, just wish my regular Chinese place was open on Mondays. Their food is DELICIOUS!!! They have the best Vegetarian "chicken" General Tso's I have ever had in my life!! The "chicken" is actually made of vegetarian seitan but it tastes exactly like chicken! I crave it almost everyday now. I also ordered their Fried Rice and Lo Mein, both of which tasted really good. And the owners of this restaurant are extremely nice! I've been ordering from Egg Rolls for I guess nine years. They are always quick, food hot & we really enjoy it. I get kung pain chicken extra spicy, but have also had... Orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, hunan & Mongolian beef... it's my "go to" when someone is coming over last minute too! They are very consistent. We ordered from here last weekend, it's the only Chinese restaurant that delivers to our area. The egg rolls, chicken lo mein, and fried rice were really good. The sweet and sour sauce was tasty too, but it will stain whatever it gets on. The delivery driver was super friendly and they delivered our food pretty fast. I've been here before wasn't my favorite but my mom and family come often. I came in town for Christmas and we decided on Chinese food. I agreed to this place to give it another try. The waitress was nice at first. My mom and dad placed their order then I ordered an L13 which is general tsp chicken lunch special. My mom also ordered a lunch special. The waitress asked me what kind of fried rice I wanted but she didn't ask my mom which we found odd (the lunch special come with fried rice). When she brought our food she just brought me a big plate of fried rice. I was like oh I wanted the general tso chicken I said L13 she continued to argue with me and even yelled at me!!! After she yelled I was like it's fine I'll eat it don't worry about it then she picked up my plate and then brought me my correct food later on. The food isn't terrible but not my favorite but the waitress yelling and arguing with me is what made this review a one star. read more

Probably the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Came in for lunch. Wonton soup - only one wonton in it and the broth was extremely salty. Kung Pao Chicken - way too sweet. Fried rice was inedible!!! Delivery driver quickly said said we needed to tip him (we had planned to but for him to push it like he did was very unprofessional and insulting), then didn't offer us change whenever we gave him some money for a tip. Next, THE FOOD. Omygah it was HORRIBLE! Disgusting! Weird tastes and the "fried rice" was more like old rice. We ordered 4 different lunch plates and all of them had a tan/brown type of shade color (regardless of what they were) and one of the plates was MAYBE enough to feed a kid smh). Very disappointed. I ordered take out because my husband and I moved into our apartment Sunday night and didn't feel like getting groceries; needless to say... Never AGAIN! Disgusting over priced sponge like food. I could have saved money and got produce and meat from Target and still spend less money. I am new from NASA Space Center and I would not recommend this place to even my worst enemy. read more
