Our pancakes with strawberry & bananas
JoAnna S.

This is a bad business and I would recommend no one go here. Sunday my daughter and I went to this restaurant just before they closed. We ordered 3 Swedish fruit pancakes, 1 scrambled egg with hash brown and toast. This was a take out order. The Swedish pancakes were supposed to get 3 eggs as side orders but got no sides at all. There was no whipped crème or toast. I paid $87.63 and that included a tip which I almost never do for take out. While we were waiting for our order 2 different people came in very angry that their take out orders were missing food! They were half training a new girl. I say half training because another person with the name that sounded like aria was too busy socializing with her crew. The new girl kept asking her how to correct the order of mine and she ignored her even though she was standing right next to her. Finally I said her name loud and she responded. I apologized stating she was not listening to her employee that needed help. Now because we were there just before they closed we could not go back that day because they were closed. So on Sunday around 2:15 I called the restaurant and left a message on their answering machine telling them what we were missing. Then after I hung up I called again to tell them the additional items my daughter said were missing. And asking them to call me back but I got none. I know closing a restaurant at 2 you will still be there to clean up until at least 3 but no one called me back. Monday was Labor Day and on line it showed them closed but I still called and left two messages. On Tuesday I called again leaving a message asking them why they were ghosting me but no call backs. They only stay open until 2 and when you have prior appointments it's hard to get over there by then. So I called Today on Wednesday and finally got someone to answer. I asked for the manager but I only got a male on the phone with such a thick accent it was hard to understand him. He spoke bad English. I told him the whole story of missing food items. He responded he could do nothing because it was Wednesday and why did I not go back on Sunday ? I said because they were closed but I had left 2 messages at 2:15. I said I called on Monday but they were closed for Labor Day & he said no they weren't. I told him on line it showed them closed. Then I said I called and got their answering machine and again on Tuesday. He laughed. Then said I can do nothing. I told him he had bad business practices. and hung up. I'm calling my bank to reverse charges. If that does not go anywhere because they fight it I will take them into small claims court. It's a small amount but it's the principle of the thing. I'm also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This manager should not only not be a manager but should not even be employed there. I've eaten at the Thousand Oaks Eggs and Things and they are the Best there. This restaurant however left good items bought & paid for out of my bag which is a breach of contract. I pay you for food but you take my money and only fulfill half my order. Not only that 2 separate people that day came in angry that their food had also been left out! When a business doesn't listen to their employees that are waiting on their customers, does not make right by their customers for their mistakes by stealing money and refusing to give the product to them and leaving items out of at least 3 people's take out orders that day including mine then it's a bad business showing bad faith and fair dealing! I will never do business with this establishment again!!! Oh and I went to use their restroom and they left the door open. When I went to wash my hands a worker was watching me and when he saw that I saw him he left.

Bacon burrito with a hair in it

I contacted management via email, and they refunded my order. Even though I did have to go the extra mile to make things right, I'm glad that I got my money back. I wish that they were a little bit more understanding over the phone instead of having to email.

Stopped by for the first time on a mid morning Monday. Place was packed, but fun a good way. The wait time was about 15 minutes. The ambiance of the place is great! Homie feel, but clean and brought with outdoor seating and misters. The service (including the owner) was awesome, friendly and worked their tales off. The menu is big and covers everything for breakfast and lunch. The table had a mix of breakfast omelettes and they were all fantastic. There was ample food and fresh coffee. We highly recommend this place and will return each time we are down to visit Masters University. Not a great photo, but at least it is something :) Enjoy.

parking was roomy and lots of spaces. server was friendly and great. lots of folks inside enjoying their meals. very tasty food and coffee. I didn't like the Gator sausage at all. kind of fishy taste and spicy, but the rest of the food was excellent. will definitely return to try other things. price was ok as well for how much we got.

Liquid gathered on plate. Today it wasn't edible... usually these are good.

This place is usually fantastic. I would highly recommend it but more during the week. We came on the weekend and there was a long line outside. We were seated pretty quickly, considering the line. We were served within less than five minutes of ordering, but I think they are trying too hard to get people in and out. Our food came out before the complimentary crêpe. The toast was not toasted, and the hashbrowns were burnt on the top and the crepe, when it did come, was swimming in either water, butter or oil... I don't know. The service was good although the servers are extremely busy. It is fast paced, and every single table is taken ... with a line out the door. I think we will come back ...but during the week. I will include a photo of the drowned crepe.

I was in the Santa Clarita area and had about 2 hours to kill, so I came to Eggs N Things for breakfast. Walking inside to check in, I was immediately attracted to the board depicting their specials. That crab and shrimp seafood eggs Benedict would have been my choice. But I specifically chose this breakfast/brunch brand mainly to enjoy their house speciality (since 1974), the Traditional Swedish Pancakes. There was both indoor and outdoor seating. Being a hot morning already, they read my mind and immediately offered me indoor seating at a booth, even though I was dining solo. That's how it should be. After sipping their strong coffee that was superb, the one complimentary traditional Swedish Pancake arrived (whipped butter, blackberry preserves, powdered sugar). It is a simple concoction, yet an excellent preparation. Then came the real order, with 5 of these. The pancakes themselves are prepared so well that you can eat them alone just tasting the butter. The taste, the texture, the subtle flavor, the softness, as well as the brown look, was exceptional. It did not disappoint. Even though I have had this dish before at other branch sites, this preparation was a notch above, in both consistency, mouth feel, and overall taste bud satisfaction, to make it memorable. Then add to it the powdered sugar, the blackberry preserves and you are at another level. Service was friendly, caring and unhurried. Julia was my server. She provided outstanding customer care. Thank you.

Absolutely delicious Great , fast service Quality food Cute spot Dine in or out available Kids menu available Reasonable prices Surprisingly this place was so packed and with a line outside but when I asked how long the wait the host said 20-25min! I was spectacle that it would be that short of a wait but I decided to wait and to my surprise they were getting people in and out and even hosted a 14 people party! I food came out flying fast and everything was so delicious !

Amazing food! Service was AMAZING!! Gave me pickles, would come back to eat here, came 45 min awat

The seating area here is a joke. Extremely uncomfortable

The seating area is a joke and feels unsafe. In the event of a fire, the layout would make it difficult to exit quickly. This is not a place I would recommend, especially for anyone in the military or on duty.

Lovely spot for drinks and dinner in Santa Clarita…read more I was in the area running errands and decided to grab dinner nearby on a Thusday evening around 6:30 pm. I found this place on Yelp and dropped by for dinner. My party of 2 was seated immediately. Personally I thought the menus were hard to read. The gray lines in the background were quite dark and clashed with the actual menu items. My suggestion to the restaurant would be to reprint the menus with lighter background. They have an extensive cocktail menu with a lot of gin-based drinks. They also have good selection of wine and NA drinks as well, including some mocktails. I got the I'm Driving mocktail ($13), which I really liked. It had good passion fruit flavor without being too sour. Felt like a really nice tropical juice. My friend really liked his drink Bramblin' Man ($17), which had strong notes of bourbon and blackberry. I wasn't super hungry, but the braised short rib looked amazing so I got that for $43. It was very tender, but I personally found it bland especially on the inside. I asked for additional sauce so I could drench each bite in the sauce. My favorite part of the plate was surprisingly the potato croquette, which was perfectly crispy and well flavored. My friend got the chicken club ($23), which he enjoyed. I stole a bunch of his seasoned fries since they were so good. I would've loved to get dessert but was too stuffed. Next time!

The outside looked quaint, it had an outside patio and a beautiful interior. The waitress at the front was pleasant to talk to and I had a great time asking about the menu and what was popular. However my friend ordered the linguini pasta for $26 and it had chicken and shrimp in it with a creamy Parmesan sauce. It not only had a better taste, but quality and quantity were higher. I gave that dish a perfect score, I bought it again later the following week myself so I didn't have to share it this time around and my goodness, best pasta dish I ever had in my life although I shouldn't be eating it. I had the chicken, my fiancé had the apple pork or something? I can't remember the exact names because the night went in a blur. We were there for over two hours. We recently had a death in our family which led us to look for a restaurant away from the city. In…read moredoing some research we came to find that Newhall had a few new restaurants, based on the reviews and the pictures we traveled there to the Newhall Refinery. The street front seating and building architecture is very appealing and welcoming. As you enter the main doors, you are greeting by friendly staff. We were offered any open seating, we decided to take a table against the back wall that was adjacent to the entry. The decor inside is very rustic with a touch of micro brewery, the ceiling has many tap handles that adorn the ceiling. The menu and food, we were initially drawn into the Refinery since they seem to be the only spot that offered Brunch and Mimosas in the downtown street. Key point of clarification, the Mimosas are simi bottomless (you have 90 min) to pour down, some of us really like Mimosas, plus the price was just slightly higher that we typically expect at 27, per person. Were they good, yes, so we decided to go with one Mimosa and an Old Fashion drink, it was very well done, Buffalo Trace Bourbon. We ordered from the Brunch menu, the Steak and Eggs, cooked to your liking, they did a great job on both, the one item that we were less impressed with were the overcooked Oreda looking potatoes that accompanied the meals. We also ordered the Cacio e Pepe Beni, Prosciutto, perfect poached eggs and all of the other fixings, it was great testing and the presentation was amazing. As far as my overall rating I could not give it a 5 star due to what other customers have shared in their reviews, the wait staff is not timely, almost forced friendly and possibly just lacking some restaurant experience, they did not come around or notice things like empty water glasses and a few other things, could have been understaffed possibly on this day. Overall I would still recommend the Refinery due to the location, atmosphere, drinks and main dish prep. Thank you for providing a break from reality during a very trying time in our family.

Keep in mind they close at 3. We have had many different breakfast plates, tuna melt, Ortega chill burgers, and the Chinese chicken salad. Let's start with breakfast. Huge portions, the best ham steak ever, thick and tender. The bacon is always crispy. Both the country potatoes and the hash browns are so flavorful. Oh and the biscuits and gravy are so yummy. Every burger, sandwich, and salad we've had have been delicious. The hardest part is fighting the desire to try something new because everything we have had we want again. Let's talk French fries. The French fries arrive like a small golden miracle -- crisp-edged, sunlit, audibly whispering as they spill onto the plate. They crackle when you touch them, release a sigh of steam when broken open, and taste like everything good about potatoes ever dreamed of becoming. Each one is salted with confidence, hot enough to make you impatient, perfect enough to forgive yourself for eating them all and not sharing The fries may be golden, but the staff is the real sparkle. What truly anchors this place is the people who work there. They greet you like they've been expecting you all day. They linger just long enough to ask how you're really doing. By the end of the meal, it feels less like you've been served and more like you've been cared for. Ray and Andrew served us today and I am remiss for not remembering all of the staff's names as everyone has treated us like familiar guests. Agua Dulce has a real jewel of a restaurant and if you aren't local, like us, it's worth the pretty drive.
