Driving around, I told my siblings that I wanted to eat at a diner and there it was! The prices were excellent and the food was great. I had a burger and fries for about $8. My brother got the in-house roasted turkey club and it was piled high with turkey. All the plates coming out looked amazing. A friend recommended Ollie's for breakfast, so we decided to give it a try on a Saturday morning. We arrived at 9:45 a.m. and placed our order for two breakfasts -- an omelette and the Big Ollie Meal -- by 9:50 a.m. After waiting far longer than expected, we checked on our order around 10:15, especially after noticing a woman who arrived after us was already eating her meal. When we asked about our order and questioning why there was a lady eating her meal despite arriving after us, the staff explained that she "only ordered eggs," seemingly justifying why someone who came in later was served first. After waiting with no real update, we decided to leave and paid $6.42 for a coffee and Coke. Ironically, just after paying, the cook told us our order was finally ready. My husband explained that it was too late, and when he pointed out that another customer who arrived after us had already been served, the cook -- despite there being three people cooking -- repeated that she "was just having eggs" after the cook had just stated, "We do the orders as they come in." If you're ordering anything beyond basic eggs, be prepared for a very long wait and a poor explanation for why others may be served ahead of you. The coffee and Coke were fine, but overpriced for what they were. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we would not recommend or return. read more

I can't believe I've never reviewed Ollie's before! We moved here almost 3 years ago and very early on we had an Ollie's burger, and it's the best burger I've ever had--not an exaggeration--this is the best burger I've ever had. It's the homemade bun, the flavorful meat and the right proportions of each and of course it's the house cut fries that I dream about (my stomach is grumbling for them as I write). Once or twice I've tried the chicken tenders which are also excellent, but I go to Ollie's for the burger, so that's what I get. I'm sorry I can't speak to the rest of the menu, but if you take that kind of care with the burger and fries, you take it with the rest of your food. read more

Tried Ollie's for the first time in years. It's a very basic breakfast place. With fair prices. Service was good and friendly. However, the food leaves much to be desired. I ordered the lumber jack. Everything looked great, but quickly realized the kitchen uses that skillet margarine for everything. Even one final scoop of it on top of the pancakes. It's turned what would be a great breakfast with unique flavors into something uniformly bland across the board. it all just tastes like oil based skillet margarine. My wife ordered the strawberry French toast special. Presentation was great however the strawberry syrupy topping that was meant to be on it had separated into half watery and half curdled. Have eaten here before but first time since they expanded the restaurant. Now everyone is not on top of each other. They are good for breakfast and lunch. The day we came we had brunch. They have many egg,omelette and pancake choices. Lunch menu is a few sandwiches and burgers. Didn't see a bar so I don't think they have those type of drinks. First timer here! So my mom woke up with a craving for pancakes and immediately thought to head over to McD's for a breakfast platter. The all-day breakfast is not a thing anymore so we thought of another option: IHOP. Well ultimately, we decided not to go because hey, why not support someplace local instead? And so that's how we ended up at Ollie's. We had just barely made it as the diner was closing in 15 mins - but were still pleasantly welcomed. It didn't make sense for us to sit down at their outdoor seating space since they were already putting away chairs...so we opted for take-out. Here are my thoughts: FOOD: We ordered the Big Ollie and the Apple Cinnamon Waffle special. The Big Ollie was massive, definitely enough for two people. It was a huge serving of hash browns, three poached eggs (hehe an extra to keep us coming back!), thinly sliced grilled ham, cheese and plenty of hollandaise sauce - YUM! As for the waffle, it literally tasted like an apple pie!! There were delicious bite-sized pieces of warm apple and the portion was also a good size. We were given several packets of butter and maple syrup. The takeaway boxes were put together nicely and we had absolutely no leakage or mess - bravo! SERVICE & PRICE: Even though we didn't have the time to sit down, I can still say that the service here is super friendly. The waitress that assisted us was kind and helpful. Prices are affordable and fair, not like other places where you overpay for a couple of eggs and toast. I have found myself at Josie's Ice Cream across the street many times at night saying 'I should try that place!' So it worked out perfect when we needed a breakfast place last Saturday. Just like most breakfast spots this one has limited parking and limited space. Luckily both my boyfriend and I were are to get spots in the lot and the restaurant was full upon arrival. We did wait outside but that can be a little confusing. The order is based off the honor system and hoping the waitress remembers the order of patrons waiting outside! We only waited at most 10 minutes. We were seated and it's a standard breakfast menu. My daughter had a plain bagel toasted with cream cheese. Her order was delivers caked in butter. The waitress explained that next time we need to order it without butter because that's how all bagels are served at Ollie's- so heads up! She quickly replaced the bagel. I had 2 eggs over easy, extra crispy bacon with home fries and toast. The home fries are half cut small potatoes nicely thrown on the grill with seasoning and a bit of onion- the adults declare their home fries as a win. I loved the crispy pieces! My boyfriend had a omelet with hash and cheese that came with home fries, an English muffin and a side of bacon. He said the hash is homemade and very good. Our waitress seamed frazzled as she forgot an ordered water and didn't tell us about the butter. We also had another waitress helping us as well. We wanted to try something new- Despite the pandemic, we had a delicious brunch! The food was hot and perfectly portioned for each of us. We "dined-in" outdoors and tried the Big/Little Ollie. Well well well... When I lived here I passed this place everyday taking my son to school. And of course now I find out there's this slamming a** breakfast/brunch spot right here in Cumby!!! I smashed the French toast. I also ate the home-fries AND an omelette ... coffee was on point and I was stuffed full all day. I think two meals (well mine was two alone,... so three meals) and two OJs and coffee came up to a Lil over 30 bucks. I want to eat here everyday and I believe I would if I lived here. Really, the best all-around breakfast in the area. The menu is classic diner fare with excellent execution. The space has gotten bigger to help seat all the hungry patrons. The paper menu doesn't do it the same justice that Yelp users have done with their own pictures. My trip here was because I was looking for a decent breakfast place that comes up on Yelp with a single "$" rating. We got better than decent, we got a great meal. The sausage tasted great, the home fries were the way I like and the bacon was extra thick and sweet. On top of that, my very picky 5 year old even ate his whole chocolate chip pancake that they made for him. It was a good trip on a Sunday morning. FYI, Sunday there is breakfast only. I drove out to Cumberland from Pawtucket to try this place. Funny how short distances in California seem long in New England. I ordered "The Big Ollie," since it was named after the place. It was cheesier and saltier than I personally like, but I can see how this could be a popular and generously portioned dish to many others. The decor is cute. It is like a country pantry. The waitress was pleasant and worked hard in the crowded breakfast rush to keep everyone happy. I tipped her $5 on my $15 breakfast. There is a fair amount of parking, but I got the last spot when I arrived. This is a popular breakfast destination. The food is good, and not expensive. Had a great breakfast here this morning. Ordered the eggs Benedict and was very happy with my order. Pleasantly surprised to have the grilled ham beneath the poached eggs. The home fries here are wonderful. Crisp and cooked to perfection. I also ordered a side of their maple sausage. The sausage was good, but I only really wanted one link. My friend ordered over easy eggs and they were cooked well. The one complaint we had was that the service was pretty slow. They were quick to get our drinks but the food took a really long time.
