I went to Eggs Up Grill for the first time during a Yelp event and had a great experience. So, I thought of this place right away when family came to visit and we needed a breakfast spot and I'm glad I did! They make eggs in all kinds of ways: scrambled, fried, poached, omelets, you name it. I went with the chorizo eggs, and it was the right choice. The eggs were cheesy, there was a good amount of chorizo, and it came with sourdough bread. Everything hit the spot. The service was also great friendly and attentive, just what you'd want. The place has a cozy diner feel, and I especially liked the egg counter that shows how many eggs they've made that day.
On my way to a fitness event out in Riverview, FL, this weekend, I passed by Eggs Up Grill and fondly remembered our wonderful Yelp Elite event there earlier this year! So, I made a mental note to stop there for a late brunch after my event I was headed to. My friend and I popped in after a morning of workouts at the fitness event, and I love that we had this great option where we didn't need a reservation, could walk right in and be seated, and where parking was plentiful and free. The restaurant was just as clean and bright as I remembered, and the server was friendly. I already knew that I wanted to order the grilled blueberry muffin, as that was my favorite item at the elite event and I've told SO MANY people about it since. It has no business being that delicious, but I'm so happy that it is. I actually mentioned to my friend that I really just wanted the muffin, eggs and fruit, and as I prepared to order them a la carte, I saw that there was actually a combo with exactly those items included on the menu in their lighter options category. Loved the ease of that option being on the menu! My friend ordered the Philly sandwich and fries. She also wanted to try to mini cronuts, as I had told her how yummy they were when I tried them at the elite event, but the server informed us that they unfortunately did not have any that day. The only part of our visit that I wasn't a fan of was the wrap up of our dining experience. The server brought us our bills, and instead of them coming back to collect payment, there was a QR code on the bill that we had to scan and then pay online. The server didn't inform us of this, so we surmised this from the giant QR code on the bill. I've seen several businesses doing this lately, and I feel it honestly takes more time for the patron (navigating the system and adding your cc details) and takes away from the "people" aspect of the experience, as nobody then concludes your visit or communicates with you before you leave. I'm sure many people don't mind this and I may just be stuck in the past, but I really do prefer to have that human connection at the end of the visit. Overall, it was a pleasant and tasty experience and I'll continue to recommend this restaurant to friends! Especially for that grilled blueberry muffin!
First time here and stopped here for weekday lunch. The food was not disappointing. The waitress was helpful suggesting top selling items and was friendly. The place was clean and busy. I will definitely be back to try some more items.
Great service and tasty food. Both my friend and I enjoyed outlr meals. The cornbeef hash was my fave. It's not canned and made fresh to order with onions. The seasonal croissant donuts were definitely very tasty, rich but very good and light pastry. It seems like breakfast is their busier time. We were immediately greeted upon arrival and sat pretty quickly. The restaurant is really clean. All the stuff was pleasant, smiling and personable. I definitely plan to return in again to try some other menu items that sounded good.
Great breakfast spot in Brandon! They have a nice variety of breakfast options and more coffee options than the average diner. They had fun coloring books for kids. The food was really tasty - I went sweet with the cinnamon Apple pancakes which were so tasty and fluffy. I came a few months ago for a Yelp event and I am so happy I returned!
The staff and the service is great at eggs up grill. However, I feel like they could expand their menu, it is very basic and simple for breakfast. I can get more options out of a local small diner than what we had here. Also, in terms of flavor, there's not much variety. Everything is your basic salt and pepper. Which if you're looking for that. This is perfect for that. The buttermilk pancakes are light and flappy. So I have to say, I enjoyed that. And I don't even eat pancakes.
Eggs Up Grill is great for breakfast or lunch! If you need to host a business meeting they have space for that too. Customer service is always warm & welcoming. My favorite item to get is the corn beef hash with eggs over medium on the breakfast side. For lunch I enjoy their Turkey sandwich with bacon and a side of potato salad. Sooooo good! They are located in Riverview which is not close to me but the drive is definitely worth it. If you have kids this restaurant is family & kid friendly and their kids menu is a hit with my kids. Atmosphere is warm & cozy and enjoyable for all. They are only open from 6am -2pm so definitely get there early! Plenty of space for parking as it's located in a plaza.
This was my first time dining here. Unfortunately they did not have any milk alternatives nor did they have turkey sausage however they were able to accommodate my other request. The service was so fast. The iced coffee was delicious. I also ordered avocado two scrambled eggs, medium, and a side of fruit. It was such a delicious balanced breakfast and it wasn't too heavy with too much oils. The restaurant is clean and reminds me of a local mom and Pop diner.
The food was decent, but I didn't feel it was worth the price--I would have preferred dining elsewhere. However, the service was excellent; my boyfriend and I were seated right away, and the ambiance was enjoyable.
This place was super yummy and I was told it's black-owned. The atmosphere is very bright and inviting. I had the crabocado scramble and it was super satisfying. I did ask for no avocado on my scramble and it still came with them. The staff was personable and kind. The menu was expansive. I would definitely return next time I'm in the area.
Needed a quick lunch while working at our office in the Tampa area. Decided to check this little place out. Tucked into a tiny strip mall, finding parking was difficult. Once inside, it reminded me of the old diners I used to go to when I was a kid. I was promptly seated and my coffee IV was set up (J/K). Looks are deceiving, one cannot judge a place by it's dated look. The menu is certainly a modern take on timeless classics. Breakfast for lunch? Why not? I love a good eggs benedict, especially if crab cakes are involved, and these folks easily met my expectations.
Came here on a Sunday morning around 11, no wait. Service and food was great! They accidentally gave us sausage instead of bacon but fixed it immediately and were super nice about it. The hash bowl was fantastic.

I came here on a Saturday around noon. The wait wasn't too long. The menu had a lot of great options to choose from. I ordered the grand classic with no meat and got fruit instead. Absolutely loved this place. It's small but we arrived around 12pm, so there wasn't really a wait for seating. Lisa C was our waitress and she was a delight. Her knowledge of the food and drinks was pretty good. Every question asked was answered. I had the hot chocolate and the good morning sunrise to drink and both were delicious. Our server was very charming and great at her job even though she said she was new. The food took a long time to come out so they could use improvement in that area. Strawberry cheesecake pancakes are delicious. They seem simple because only toppings on the first layer but they give you plenty of cream cheese for two large fluffy pancakes. It would be easier to eat if they put some of it on the 2nd layer, but the cream is special and delicious either way. read more

This brunch spot was wonderful- my friend and I perused the menu ahead of time to save time when we got there. We were greeted promptly by a friendly hostess. Our attentive, friendly server was Jasmine. She took our orders, answered our questions and brought our food out hot! We both had eggs Benedict- they were so delicious and the portion was larger than most places- TWO eggs with lucious hollandaise sauce. the canadian bacon was sliced thinly. I got hash browns, crispy and they were very tasty. My friend had fruit cup with a wide variety of fruits. Even tho the place was crowded it wasn't too loud to have a conversation. The setting is fun. There are pictures on one wall of eggs with fun captions., like Eggstraterrestial, Eggcentric, Eggsquite. Ample parking in front, clean restrooms. With their large menu and ever-inventive seasonal menu, they have something for everyone. I'm a huge sucker for decadent pancakes so ordering the strawberry cheesecake was a no-brainer. So fluffy and sweet these pancakes were every bit as delicious as they look! Not only was there cream cheese frosting topped and sandwiched in the cakes, but there were also hidden cheesecake bites layered inside...SO good. The wife and I have stopped by here twice before for breakfast, but there was always a line out the door. Not today, we went earlier and got seated as soon as we walked in. The menu was a bit overwhelming, because I wanted to try it all. I went with the Steak and Eggs with grits. It was very flavorful, juicy and delicious (no need for steak sauce). The portion was perfect for me (I cleaned the plate) and the service was great. This is a nice breakfast experience, we will most definitely eat here again. read more

Eggs Up Grill, this is the 2nd time I have been here. The 1st time was last year and I remember it being very busy. I went on a Tuesday midday because I nearby and needed some lunch. I ordered the Philly cheese steak omelet, cheese grits, wheat toast and big mug of hot chocolate. I really enjoyed my lunch. The grits were nice and creamy. The omelet had the right amount of onions and green peppers in Philly cheese steak omelet. The hot chocolate with whipped cream was so good. I'm from out of state and was looking for a local place to get breakfast. I found this spot on Yelp but the directions had me going to the McDonald's across the street. Luckily, their signage was big enough to spot from the McDonald's parking lot. The menu is full of signature items. It took me a while to settle on something. The menu says they serve all items all day. Finally, I decided to try the breakfast burger. It's like a double hamburger with a mushroom and onion omelet on it, with spinach, bacon, and bacon dressing, all on a brioche bun. I got it with the home fries and it did not disappoint. The staff and clientele were both diverse and everyone was friendly there. They didn't seem all that busy but it did take a while for the food to arrive. However, the food was worth the wait! The only negative I have to report is the 20-30 minute wait to get food seemed a bit long for a Thursday morning. I would give them 4.5 if I could. You've got to try this sandwich! read more

There was a special Yelp event where you got a free drink upon check in, and since I wanted lunch and my husband wanted breakfast, this seemed like a good fit. The restaurant is very cute with lots of egg decorations everywhere. The Christmas tree was even decorated with breakfast ornaments. Our server brewed us a fresh pot of decaf coffee while we looked over the menu. I decided on the grilled chicken wrap and chips. We didn't wait long for our food. My coffee cup, although very cute, was very hard to drink from. The brim is so wide, it's not comfortable. My sandwich looked very nice, but overall it was bland. The red onions overpowered any taste in the avocado or chicken. There wasn't any sauce so the wrap was fairly dry. Service was very good at first, but then became scant. The breakfast menu looks much better than the lunch, and they have eggs Benedict, so I am likely to come back and try something else. read more

Our server was attentive and pleasant. Food - Very Good. The menu is excellent there are lots of breakfast and lunch items. I had the combo breakfast platter that came with 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and two sausage patties. Everything was very good. However, I would point out that the sausage patties are pretty spicy. First let me say this a really cute place. I mean that sincerely. I am so glad I listened to the posts I saw on Instagram and decided to give it a try. There was a little wait. Which is totally expected for a Saturday. But the wait was not long at all. (A side note.... no reservations on Saturday). And that's ok because you will get in if you are patient. I decided to try the Southern Staples. Yum!!! 2 eggs. Sausage Biscuit. Sausage Gravy. And Home Fries. Let me tell you.... those home fries are EVERYTHING!! The flavor is so good. I'd been meaning to try this place and finally got invited for a birthday brunch. It was an overall nice experience but I did have a few cons -- in my heart they get 4 stars, but reviews are everything so I gave them 5. The decor and ambiance was nice. It reminded me of Steak 'n Shake, meets ihop, meets brunch. It was cute. Not too small, not too big. We were lucky enough to get the private room for a big party. We had a party of 14 -- that's about the biggest party they can hold. No more than that or all the space might be taken up. The Mimosas -- so apparently they're mixing the orange juice with wine and it was very thick and sweet like juice. Nasty. It taste like Minute Maid. Idk if they are trying something new, or just don't know, but they need champagne... brut... in those mimosas. I also didn't care for the home fries (roasted potatoes) or the corn beef hash. I ordered quite a few things off the menu and those were the only things I didn't quite like. Everything else was really great. I'm sure I'll be back again. I'm giving this restaurant a four star review! Customer service was excellent and they were really on point in making sure that I got what I wanted and enjoyed my food! Our server today was Heidi! This restaurant offers a little bit for everyone! It has your savory, your sweets, your spicy and your vegetarian! They have classic mimosas and a poinsettia mimosa that I MUST try on our next visit! On this, my initial visit. We had a sit down breakfast. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits Brunch Bowl at $11.99 and my mother enjoyed the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast at $7.99 with bacon as her side. She also had a side of fried egg for $0.99 per egg. I think the prices are great and competitive! They also have home fries!!! Yummy! So little side note: I ordered the shrimp and grits and ended up changing it to the Baked Peaches and Cream pancakes! The shrimp and grits bowl has the grits with some type of sauce in it that I didn't realize. I enjoy plain Jane grits with my toppings on top. Happy Black History Month. Hubby and I went to our favorite place for breakfast this morning. Where the food is always good and the service comes with a smile. Atmosphere is relaxing and calming. The restaurant is open and has great natural lighting throughout. If you haven't been here yet, go ahead get yourself down to Riverview and treat your taste buds to some delicious food. I have passed this place many times and it's always crowded! Like line out the door crowded. So decided to come on week day. It wasn't crowded we were promptly seated very clean and our waitress was very nice. I ordered the eggs Benedict with eggs fried hard with extra hollandaise breakfast potato and Grits. The eggs Benedict was yummy . The potato were good but I prefer them a little more crispy but still seasoned and tasty. I like the grits when they have like creamy flavor and texture. I was my wife's plus one at this Elite event. First off thanks to Yelp and Eggs Up Grill for sponsoring the event. Where to start. We were seated and had more than plenty of time to browse the menu and decide. When our waitress showed up we ordered breakfast and drinks. I ordered my fav omelet which is custom made with sausage, spinach and swiss chees with home fries (no hashbrowns) and English Muffin. Wife ordered the Greek omelet with the home fries and biscuit and added a side of hash. My coffee came and was good. Water was not offered. The food showed up minus my muffin. I was told it would be right up. I will list the important points. 1. The food was hot 2. My omelet had no taste with the sausage and cheese tasteless. Maybe one or two leaves of spinch. 3. The home fries and hash were good. 4. I had to ask for more coffee (the decaf was better than the regular), my english muffin and butter for my wife's biscuit. 5. When my muffin showed up it had no toasting. I told the waitress I wanted it toasted. She said it was. I said it wasn't, it was just warm and she took it back. When it showed up again just the edges had any color. Clearly toasted needs to be defined here or they need a new toaster. By the time the muffin crisis was over I had finished my breakfast and got to eat the muffin ala carte. Everyone (staff) were very nice. The place has a few bumps left over from being fairly new. Another great experience from a fantastic restaurant. My wait time on a holiday weekend wasn't bad at all. I only waited about 10/15 mins the most. Just went for a little walk. As always the food came out hot and had everything I asked for. I am typically someone who like to adjust the items I order and I was so happy they were able to do that. Everything was delicious. I loved the home fries. Last time I skipped getting them, and never again. The bacon... you see the pictures. Fantastic! If you haven't been, not sure what you're waiting for. read more

The corn beef hash was good it comes with grits, toast and 2 eggs. The pancakes are not IHOP but they were decent. The coffee is nice and strong if that's how you like it. The only thing, they are so busy that some of your food might arrive cold but they will correct it with no problem. This place stays busy so expect to be here for a while. I was headed to Target, I swear. I had a mission. But how could I ignore the new (to me) buildings on that side (east) of 301? How could I ignore the hunger pangs that rode with me from downtown Tampa? I couldn't! The breakfast lure is powerful, so I pulled in. That was easy to do because Eggs Up Grill is in a strip mall-lots of free, easy-peasy parking. Good start. Inside, it's cute-super bright and airy, with lots of sunny yellows, happy blues and clean whites. It's welcoming and energizing. I may have been humming "Good morning, good morning" from "Singing In the Rain" as I chose my own spot. It was about 8:15 on a Tuesday morning-I had lots of choices-and picked a place on the south wall-with one chair and one booth seat. I had a commanding view from there. Not that my eyes strayed for long from the menu. You can have breakfast, brunch or lunch anytime! I was super tempted by the turkey avocado blt, but decided to get my bacon fix in "the classic" breakfast instead. I know, I know-it's standard-but it's a good starting point with someplace new. Two eggs (I chose scrambled) bacon or sausage (), home fries or grits (home fries) and for toast-I went wheat. Everything was cooked well, arrived piping hot, was very tasty and it just felt quality. The portions were just right: you leave feeling full... not full of regret. The server was pleasant and efficient... the place was clean and well cared for. It got crowded as I was leaving. On a Covid note: the staff wasn't masked and there's no outside seating. The menu is large, but not overwhelming. I didn't even know it was on US-301 near Falkenburg until recently. I must have passed by it the last couple of times I was in that area, and I'm not sure how. This stretch of highway has seen many new restaurant additions in the last couple of years. I decided to visit early in the morning on a week day because I heard that it can be packed during peak hours. It was a good decision because I was able to pick a booth versus a table. It wasn't busy at all. The service was great throughout the whole visit. There was a lot of positive energy coming from inscriptions on the walls and cheery egg pictures. The décor is simple but very modern and clean looking. The menu was full of all kinds of interesting items. They have a variety of flavored coffee preparations such as French vanilla cappuccino, caramel cinnamon smile, hazelnut harmony, and a café mocha. The last 3 are made using their dark roast coffee. I chose 2 of the flavored coffees and loved the taste and presentation. I do have to say that the coffee isn't very strong so if you're looking for a caffeine boost then this is not for you. I was going for a creamy and yummy flavor which was delivered as promised. I haven't tried the regular coffee yet and probably won't when I have flavored options like the ones I got on the menu. I think this sets them apart from other breakfast diners nearby that only serve regular coffee. They also have mimosas by the glass or by the carafe. They offer breakfast and lunch options all day, so you can actually order a burger for breakfast. I decided to get the Southern Staples breakfast which was perfect for me. You can't tell by the pictures but it comes with 2 sausage patties. It comes with home fries or grits, but I'm all about the grits. The grits were my favorite part of the meal. It was very creamy to begin with. The added butter and cheese made it excellent. My eggs were cooked perfectly and exactly the way I wanted them. I wasn't in the mood for a runny egg that day so I got them cooked over-hard. I think the only thing I would improve on is the sausage gravy. It wasn't bad, but I've had better. The sauce wasn't as thick as I'm used to, although I did appreciate the big chunks of sausage. Other than that, everything was really good. I'm looking forward to bringing my husband next time. This place is a truly unique find. Excellent food, spectacular service and incredible value for money. It is a small, unassuming restaurant located in what I believe is a strip mall. When you walk inside, though, it is very beautiful. There's nice wall art and the colors and design of the place are very snazzy. The menu itself also has a simple, cool-looking design. They also highlight customer favorites in yellow, making it easier to make a selection. They have a bevy of options in terms of dishes, but at the same time it's not overwhelming. They have exactly enough options to give you good variety without it being too much. The only problem is that everything sounds so delicious that you don't know what to choose!! That's a happy problem to have, though. In terms of parking, again, it's in a strip mall so parking is super easy and there's plenty of it available. You'll have no issues there. In terms of the quality of food, it is absolutely spectacular. I'm from Orlando and I've eaten at several breakfast joints here, and this beats nearly all of them. It is one of the best breakfasts that I've ever had in a restaurant. Hands down!! And in terms of value for money, it punches well above its weight. The food has the taste of a home cooked meal that was made with love and care. Even the presentation of the food shows a certain artistry and attention to detail. I would've paid twice what they charged me for their food without batting an eye because of how good it was! I had a breakfast for two for under $35! I couldn't believe it considering how high quality the meal was! I could scream from the rooftops about how delicious the food was. You have to try this place if for nothing else but the food. The restaurant is also incredibly clean. Absolutely immaculate. The service was one of a kind to me. It's incredibly rare in my experience to find service that is genuinely friendly. Most of the time, it's polite and professional, but here people are friendly and warm to you, and you can tell that it's genuine. They're nice to you, refill your coffee, everything that you'd expect from great service. So hats off to them there. There's only one reason that I'm not giving them five stars: the staff generally doesn't mask up. This is out of step with current CDC guidelines on indoor masking, and I can't give five stars to a restaurant that isn't following those protocols. It's a crying shame, because otherwise this place would get ten stars out of five. It's doing everything else to perfection. That said, there's booth seating available, and if you arrive early you should be able to get a booth that will give you some distance from others. Wear your mask and you should be fine. So, overall it's a phenomenal establishment. If they were masking indoors, it would put it over the top for me. As I mentioned earlier, though, the booth seating does give you a buffer from other customers and should be available if you get there early. As long as you don't mind the maskless servers, then this is truly a gem of a restaurant. read more

The ambience was good and it is a cute spot. The food was meh. I think I would've been better off going to McDonald's across the street and maybe the service and biscuits and gravy would've been better. I asked for sugar for my coffee and never got it. When my boyfriend asked for it, the waitress asked if the French vanilla was ok. Umm no. I wanted sugar, I don't like French vanilla creamer. I was already over the coffee and it wasn't like it was that great. Tasted a tad stale. I ordered the southern staples breakfast and it came with biscuits and gravy. I didn't mind that I got the gravy on the side. The gravy tasted like straight flour though. I ate half the biscuit with gravy and instead ended up eating the other half with butter and grape jam. Even Popeyes biscuits are better in comparison to these biscuits and McDonald's even has better biscuits and gravy. I didn't like that I had to ask for a spoon for my grits. Like who eats grits with a fork? After trying the grits I was done. The grits had either rosemary or dill and it completely ruined it for me. For a breakfast called the southern staples, it was anything but southern for this southern girl. It was more of a hipsters take on southern. While this may be ok given the location and ambiance, you just can't serve biscuits and gravy and grits if you're not going to do it right. The only good things about this place were the clean bathrooms and the mimosas. They didn't just have orange juice for them, they also had peach, blueberry and cranberry. Overall, I would not recommend this place unless you're looking for a place that has mediocre food and service. read more

Happy Sunday yelpers. Bae has been raving about egg up grill, so we finally made a to go order for me to try it. I wanted to sit and eat but bae wasn't in the best spirits so we did to go. I tried to call the order in but the phone jus rang and rang, which I'm not surprised by since it was quite busy when I pulled up and went inside, we also couldn't place an order online so I really had no choice to go to the location. I didn't mind since it was only 11 min away. The front counter waitress quickly took my order. I got a free drink with check in . The wait for my food was 25 min, which is about what I expected. The food was reasonably priced, bae and I got the same thing Corned Beef Hash and Eggs which was about $15. I love corned beef hash and it was so delicious. The hash was cooked crispy, which I loved. Everything is as flavorful and well made. I am so glad I finally got l to try egg up grill and we will definitely be back to dine in and enjoy the vibes. The portion size was perfect for me, I typically don't finish all my food and I did today. We were both happy with our orders and will soon be taking a nap. Lol read more

Such a cute diner in Riverview! We came at prime time on a Saturday morning (~11am) and the wait was 25 mins for 2, which was expected. At exactly 25 minutes we were seated. We started with the vanilla cappuccino and the caramel cinnamon smile latte. Both were delicious and super sweet - basically a glorified hot chocolate. For breakfast, I had the corned beef hash and eggs with a side of grits. The hash was perfect and the grits were super buttery and soft. I don't even want to know what they put into the grits to make them that soft! The decor was really cute and inviting, and all the staff was welcoming and nice. read more

I made the drive up to Riverview to try out Eggs Up Grill. I got the Caramel coffee and it was delicious. I would go back for that alone. Our server was awesome, I remembered his name to give him a shoutout! Our food took a while to arrive and when it did, my shrimp and grits were cold. I hate sending food back, but couldn't eat it cold. My server was great and brought it back back they could microwave it. It came back hot and delicious. The grits were a but looser than I am use to, but had good favor. The portion was large and I only ate about half. I was bummed that we were not going home after because I really wanted to take the leftovers home with me. I took stars off because of all the people I saw sending back their cold food to be reheated. read more

Eggs Up Grill has a modern feel and look inside, if you couldn't tell by the exterior sign. Very inviting. I was seated immediately, and my server was very kind and quick. I believe the owner or manager at least came to my table as I received my food and asked how I was doing, but I hadn't eaten anything yet. Still nice. Everything was clean and tidy, I did not visit the restroom. I was there on a Tuesday morning, about 10am. It was quiet. My husband said he went on a Sunday afternoon and it was BUSY. I ordered the Founders Hash & Eggs (eggs over easy, they were perfect) with grits and rye bread. I just got a water for a drink so my total was $11.81. Delicious! The hash came out in a log form which I wasn't expecting, but it left a wonderful crispiness to it. Everything was cooked perfectly, and I will definitely be back to check out brunch.
