We were on a tour that ordered from Big John's. We liked it so much we came back again the following day to grab another sandwich to eat while we were wine tasting. The store is a full market plus a big selection of pre-made and To Go foods. And they have a great wine selection! Lots of great locals finds there. Mind you... they don't carry Everyone and Everything but they have a lot of the local wineries there at reasonable prices. If you need to put together snacks (aka fancy Chacuterie) for a party, this is the place to go. It's better than Whole Paycheck (Foods) IMO and the prices are better. If you are staying at a rental with a kitchen, definitely come here to stock up on meats, breads and produce. Highly recommend making a stop here!

We also wanted pasta and they have a large variety of high quality pasta. We went to a winery and we were recommended to come here from a local and it's definitely worth stopping by if you are staying in an Airbnb or a great place to find items for a charcuterie board or pretty picnic if you're doing one at the vineyard. We wished we had stopped by sooner in our trip! If comparing to LA grocers, this would be similar to Bristol Farms, but they had a wide variety of prices for their goods so that they had reasonably priced, nice items as well. We also saw cute stationary items in their gift wrap, gift bag and cards area.

Parking is fairly plentiful in the strip mall it's located in. Stepping inside you'll find a nice market with many different products such as produce, a small salad bar, olive bar, groceries and drinks as well as a deli. Everything looked really good quality. We chose two Tuscan veggie sandwiches which were already prepared in the deli case and looked incredible. The helpful deli counter employee recommended that they were best heated up and offered to do so while we looked around. Soon our sandwiches were warm and off we went. The sandwich was delicious. Absolutely a delight to the senses. Visually it was fresh and vibrant. The layers were impressive. The taste, amazing. The olive tapenade, pesto, greens and veggies were delicious. It's been a while since I've had such a delicious sandwich. We both were saying "yum, mmm" with each bite. Epic sandwich. The service was great. I highly recommend Shelton's Natural Foods market.

Cold, processed deli meats with the standard condiments is just not appealing to me. As we were driving through Healdsburg for lunch, my friend's Tesla suggested "Summer's Market & Deli" for a quick bite. The suggested reviews offered "BEST sandwiches" - though I had bias reservations (again, I don't like sandwiches). The shop is located in a neighborhood one mile off the beaten path. There are a couple of wooden picnic tables outside. Upon entering, the store is sparse, with a small ordering counter on the right side, drink fridge in the back and a few local items for purchase on the left side. The menu offered a variety of hot and cold sandwiches. I ordered the "Grilled Chicken Pesto sandwich", off the FAVORITES sandwiches menu. It includes a hearty combo of grilled chicken breast, red bell peppers, caramelized onions, provolone cheese, lettuce and tomato on a focaccia roll. WOW - the combination of high-quality ingredients made this one of the BEST sandwiches I have ever had!! Well done Summer! Will definitely recommend to all my friends and look forward to returning when I am in the area.

I ordered a super burrito carne asada to go. It was a bit difficult as the guy at the taqueria didn't speak English. Another employee came over and was bi-lingual. I told him I wanted a super burrito carne asada, no lettuce. He said they only have al pastor and pollo right now. So I said I'll take the al pastor. He translated my order to the 1st guy. It took 15 minutes for him to make the burrito. There were no other customers at the taqueria. He grilled the al pastor on the flattop and then proceeded to assemble my super burrito. The woman cashier spoke perfect English so checkout was good. I took it home to eat. It was delicious and the flavors of the al pastor stood out. I recommend this Lola's taquiera as long as you're not in a hurry. This ain't fast food. Also, maybe brush up on your Spanish as it would help in ordering food. I've attached pictures of the television screen menus for your viewing pleasure. It looks like they have menudo and birria on weekends. I'll have to return to try both.

The owners are extremely knowledgeable about all the wines they carry. Need a recommendation? Just ask! It's great to be back!…read moreWe have been visiting Ciao Bruto for the past few months, it's a fabulous new Italian wine and Provision store (along with French Champagne) that is unlike any other wine and provision store in the North Bay, or even in most of the Bay Area. Large, excellent selection of high quality wine from every region in Italy. Piedmont, Sicily, Tuscany etc. etc. they are all covered and in EVERY price range. I have bought numerous bottles based off the recommendations of the owners, all have been exceptional. Add in a large selection of French Champagne and Italian sparkling wine and you have a truly unique assortment of Italian wine and French Champagne. If that was the extent of Ciao Bruto it would be great but the provisions part of the store is awesome! Specialty Italian ancient grain pasta in all shapes and sizes. Believe me, you can taste the difference compared to chain store pasta. Also a large assortment of tinned fish-shellfish, honey, spices, vinegars and oils, pickled veggies, various pestos and sauces, flour, chocolates and others confections, pasta making machines, Italian cookbooks and a whole lot more. All this imported from Italy! You can't quite completely "grocery shop" there but you can get specialty food, wine and provisions you simply can't get anywhere else. Ciao Bruto is the creation from the people next door at Idlewild Wines, also makers of great Italian Piedmont varieties such as Dolcetto, Barbara, Nebbiolo, Arneis etc. all grown in nearby Mendocino County. Service at Ciao Bruto is friendly and very helpful. Not sure about Italian wine, French Champagne or specialty food from Italy, no problem, just ask for help from Courtney whose expertise is French Champagne or Thomas whose knowledge is all about Italian wine and food. We are so happy to have Ciao Bruto locally here in Healdsburg!
