Amazing service. Clean restaurant. I got fried rice with chicken. The flavor was incredible but the texture of the chicken was a little odd. I still ate it & would order it again.

Went here on a Sunday and it was nearly a full house. Looks like the menu got updated since I was last here. Ordered a stir fry noodle dish that was tasty. Service was good.

You're driving to Portland and refuse to eat sad road-trip food Found the clean, feel-good Asian stop: Ei8ht Noodles in Vancouver, WA Yakisoba with tofu, veggie fried rice + hot jasmine tea = pure cozy comfort Bonus: Tesla Supercharger in the same lot, so your car charges while you do Save this for your next PNW drive

Stopped by here unexpectedly on our way back from Portland to supercharge my car and was pleasantly surprised with how I enjoyed it! The restaurant wasn't too busy so we for greeted and seated right away. The restaurant itself is really clean and inviting. Our server was very kind and helpful. We got our refills quickly and our food didn't take too long. Food itself was really good! They were very generous with the meats and everything was very flavorful. Not sure when I'd be back down there but I'd go again.

Green curry with rice instead of noodles

This place is a hidden gem! Thai food that tastes sooooooo good! A lot of the dishes on the menu I can make myself, but this place makes it taste better. We have liked EVeRY dish we have ordered here. Except maybe the pad Thai. It's just too sour for our liking. Service is decent. They are stingy on utensils and napkins. With a kid, it helps to have access to all of that without having to constantly ask. I love tom yum and the tom yum noodle dish they had was marked as MUST TRY. I can make that dish at home myself, but their touch to the flavor was so much better. I also am I big fan of their curry. That red curry is addicting. We will definitely be back for more. This is my new favorite restaurant.

    Tom Kha Ramen

Had some ramen at Ei8ht Noodles for Sunday dinner. One of the most tastiest ramen in Vancouver, WA. Nice chewy ramen, not too heavy soup base, good amount of sliced roast pork. There was only one person doing all the busing, taking orders and cashier. Clean and friendly atmosphere. Lots of parking, it's next to Fred Meyer's market. This will be my go to ramen restaurant.

    Salad rolls

This is my second time ordering from them on DoorDash and being disappointed, so I think it will be my last. The first time I ordered a Thai iced tea that was so full of ice that it was gone in a few sips. It had about half a cup of tea in it. Today I ordered the salad rolls and paid extra for Shrimp. The rolls were falling apart and random sizes and the shrimp? Where is the shrimp? There were about 2 in the whole order, cut in small pieces, like the one you see in the bottom. Some rolls didn't have any and the few that did had on piece of a shrimp, just like that. Huge rip off. I can't believe I paid extra for shrimp.

Several clearly labeled Vegan options. We had pad se ew and pho. We also had salad rolls with tofu and peanut sauce. I would recommend this place. I would say the pho was good but definitely not the best in town.

    Shrimp Salad Rolls

Not great, not bad. Just mid. There are many other Thai places in the Salmon Creek area that are my preference. Also, $10 for these small salad rolls is robbery. (My hands aren't big btw.) The pad Thai was ok. Didn't see an option to add spice so that's a bummer. Again, the portion is not super large for the price. I can usually do Pad Thai for 2-3 meals. This is definitely one meal.

    Kahri noodles & duck noodles
    Haley K.

We pass this place often & finally made it our mission to try it out. I love when restaurants have recommendations as thats something I'll usually try. I went with the kahri noodles & my boyfriend got the duck noodles. I was surprised to see duck on the menu as it is something that's harder to cook & you don't see it on menus often. The kahri noodles were so tasty, something I have never seen before. It was kind of like eating curry & pad Thai all in one dish. It had a little spice, but not too much. The duck noodles dish was also tasty & noodles were cooked to the perfect consistency. This place had a very chill vibe to it, which was nice. Not too busy either. Service was great & quick. Will definitely be back.

Ask the Community - Ei8ht Noodles

Do they open for dining in?

Not at this time. Only takeout.

I'm a vegan and wonder which dishes do not contain ingredients from an animal? TY

I believe all of their dishes can be made without meat. But I don't know what the ingredients are in the broths and sauces.

The flavors of the food across the board are so much stronger and complex than literally all other Chinese food restaurants I've ever patronized. Their operating model, though, is confusing. They have a lot of "ready now" entrees pre-made for immediate service (think "Panda Express"), and several others that are made-to-order. The "made to order" seems to be the better choice, as what's in the "ready to go" section may well have been sitting around long enough to get soggy. I know this from firsthand experience when some of my General Tso's chicken was the last of what was premade, and the rest was fresh. Not surprisingly, the fresh portion was hot and crispy (and DELICIOUS), and the portion from the premade batch was soggy and lukewarm. There are two chairs in the interior for patrons, so be prepared to stand while your order is filled. Parking is easy as Mar's is attached to a unique and charming Country store with its own parking lot.

They have two ordering kiosks when you walk in, but since it wasn't busy, the girl behind the counter took our order. She wasn't super friendly, but helpful while ordering. We decided on the Chicken Bop and Beef Noodle Bop. We ended up ordering the large size since the regular one looked pretty small. You definitely get a lot of food for the $16 price tag, but I'm not sure about the quality, preparation, and freshness. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and it was lukewarm. The chicken was kinda mushy, which was a big texture issue for me. The teriyaki sauce was yummy. The fried rice was just okay. Liked the cabbage in the bowl. The mac salad was good. The edamame was served cold, which I didn't like. I love edamame, but have never been served it cold. My husband's beef was good. He ordered the kimchi and calamari salad. He said his was good, but not good enough for a return visit. The have everything set up well inside so you can fend for yourself. You order at the counter, go pick up your food at the counter, and clean off your table and place everything at the garbage station, where they also have lids available for your bowls if you're taking some home. After we grabbed our food, there wasn't one person in the dining room asking if everything was good or if we needed anything. After writing all this, it makes me wonder why they asked for a tip at the counter when ordering. A tip for what?! I did everything myself. Hmmmm, makes me more apprehensive on leaving tips until after my meal going forward. Tipping is so outrageous nowadays... Overall a decent experience. The food was just okay. For a mediocre meal, not sure we'll be returning. There are so many other options in the area.

WOW! That is the only word I could start with, and I will explain why…read more I recently learned that Top Bop originally started in Alaska, where it is already quite popular. It finally opened its first Washington state location a few months ago. This new location is in Vancouver, Washington. It is a bit of a drive from the Seattle area but much closer if you are coming from Portland. Still, no matter where you're coming from, it's absolutely worth the trip! Top Bop is located in the Hazel Dell area of Vancouver, in a modern and well-kept building with plenty of free parking. The interior is very clean and welcoming, with interesting artwork on the walls. There are two self-service kiosks where you can browse the full menu with pictures and place your order without needing to talk to a staff member. It might feel unfamiliar at first, but once you try it, you will see how simple and convenient it is. I personally enjoy using the kiosk because it clearly shows all the customization options and makes the ordering process smooth and easy. Okay, let's talk about the food. As you can see from the photos I took, Top Bop uses a build-your-own-bowl format. It is similar to how Chipotle works. You start by picking your protein. Then you choose two free toppings. Next, you select your desired spice level for the sauce. Finally, you can add optional extras to your bowl. As a poke lover, I chose poke for my protein. They offer both salmon and tuna. I could not decide which one to go with, so the friendly staff allowed me to do half salmon and half tuna. Perfect! My friend almost chose the Beef Bop (because, let's be honest, you can't go wrong with Korean bulgogi), but ended up getting the Shrimp Katsu Bop instead. Let's save the Beef Bop for next time. Once we placed our orders, it took about 7 minutes for the food to be ready. Everything is made fresh to order and fully customizable. The portion size was very generous. One bowl could easily be enough for both lunch and dinner. Now back to the WOW. The taste was outstanding. I got the poke bowl with two free toppings for only fourteen dollars. That is incredibly rare in today's market. The bowl was packed with fresh salmon and tuna. I could really taste the quality and quantity of the fish. I chose calamari salad and seaweed salad for my toppings, and they paired perfectly with the poke. The signature sauce at Top Bop is another highlight. I selected Level 3, as recommended, and it elevated the entire bowl to the next level. I also tried a couple of bites of the Shrimp Katsu. It was crispy and flavorful. From the menu variety, to the prices, to the taste, Top Bop truly delivers on every level. It is my number one pick for a restaurant this year so far. I genuinely hope they open a location in Seattle or Bellevue soon so I can visit more often. I will definitely come back soon to try the Beef Bop, Spicy Pork Bop, and of course, another bowl of Poke!

Not bad really, just not 'good.' I judge every Thai place by their Pad See Ew. That's what I ordered here. It had all the basics of the dish. But it was the most bland Pad See Ew I think I've ever had. And I've been eating that dish for 30 years. The place was half full when I was there so it's not like the kitchen was overwhelmed. So it really comes down to the recipe. It lacked the rich sauce flavors I've experienced at many other places. It's almost like the only sauce they used was soy and fish sauce. I've had other Pad See Ew dishes that are more complex and the best ones have a slightly sweet finish, with some so good you can't stop eating even when you're full. This wasn't that. They really need to up their game on the sauce. Again, it wasn't bad, it was just meh. I don't think I'll be back.
