Frozen margarita, thc island cocktail, beer
Paola S.

First time visiting this patio bar and it was a great time! The patio is large with lots of seating and heaters. There is an inside bar with some seating as well. They have table service which is nice. The food is very good and came out quick. Highly recommend the burgers! They have a large cocktail menu with unique options and THC cocktails priced $12-15. Lots of beer as well. I would definitely come back!

New to Houston & wanted to try this spot! It did not disappoint. Their sign says tacos, whisky, and beer so I imagine that is what they are known for. However, we got margaritas, a burger, wings, and chips with Queso/guac. It all was soooo yummy! Marg was amazing, hand crafted. Would come back for it! The wings were also bomb! We sat outside, the vibes were great! Loved the service, it was a very team feeling effort. Everyone helping. Really enjoyed this place and will come back again for their all day Wednesday happy hour!

My fiancé and I come here every year for our anniversary and it never disappointed! The drinks are always great, staff is nice, and there is plenty of seating any day you go. It's more of a casual spot but still really nice inside. If you get anything from here, definitely get the nachos!! They are so good and are made from a truck out back.

Popped in for a quick night cap after leaving an event and it turned out to be just was we needed. We ordered a burger - my vote is yes on the burger. The drinks were 4/5, but we did have to tweak them a little. The only downside was the service. I'd give them 3/5.

A friend and I went to Eight Row Flint on a chilly evening and I loved that we were able to sit outside because they had large heaters/ firepits for us to sit by. Our server was very friendly and made some good suggestions during our time there. We were there during happy hour so we both ordered frozen margaritas for the first round and red wine for the second. The margarita wasn't as flavorful as I'd expected it to be so it was better for me to switch. We shared an order of the queso to start and I was glad that it wasn't spicy - just flavorful and delicious! For my main, I ordered the cheeseburger with curly fries which I'll admit isn't something I'd usually order. The burger was OK, but tasted more like a fast food burger than something from a sit down restaurant. All in all, I'll definitely visit again and will try a different main next time!

We stopped in for a quick round of drinks after dining across the street. The customer service was okay. The bartender wasn't too friendly. The ranch water was not my fave. The frozen margarita and painkiller were really good. We also played spin the wheel for $5 to win a drink. We won the Lynchburg lemonade which was not our cup of tea. It tasted like a hottie toddy. Definitely would go back for happy hour.

And we keep coming back... The whiskey selection is superior and the tacos are spectacular! It's nothing fancy but totally worth it. We love the pork carnitas, shrimp and Brussels sprout tacos. The cocktails and fresh and imaginative.

This place has it all! I was trying to stay dry-ish so I had a Paloma with Elevate Pineapple. Paired it with the birria tacos. Both were so good! I'll definitely be back when I'm looking for drinks in the future! Huge whiskey and tequila selection and a great patio for the fall weather.

I've been to Eight Row Flint a few times and this place gets the job done. This is an old service station turned into a neighborhood bar. Parking absolutely sucks here. The lot has tight spaces and not much of it. DO NOT park across the street. They have people watching it and will tow right away. It happened to my friend on this last trip. There's plenty of signage warning, but let this be your warning as well. Customer service was ok. They have quite an impressive selections of spirits as well as good beer on tap. On my last visit, I ordered an old fashioned and it was just not the best I've had. I prefer my old fashioned with the singular block cubes to avoid a watered down drink. They do have a food truck in the back slinging out some tasty bar bites. Overall, this is a solid spot. Not my first choice, but still one I find myself back at from time to time.

The Hubs and I came to check out this place and have a drink. I ordered a strawberry magarita on the rocks and he ordered an old fashioned. I started with 2 stars because my drink came out frozen and when I told the waitress, she told me that I didn't say on the rocks. I replied, I didn't say frozen ma'am. It was her tone and facial expression that I didn't appreciate. The Hubs loved his old fashioned which earned them an extra star.

Great spot for libations and food. This full service bar makes a great destination for an evening of fun with a great Texas vibe. Wednesday is all day happy hour on drinks and until six on weekdays. Definitely worth taking advantage of for the cocktails. There's plenty of bar bites to be consider, though the tacos here are legit and very popular. I also enjoy the freshly fried chicharrones that arrived at the table still crackling! The large patio is supplied with adequate heat lamps for chilly evenings.

Chicken wings and beef cheek taco
LaMecia M.

We came here on a Sunday just before the brunch ends. The day was gloomy (rain and cold) so there wasn't a crowd. We ordered several tacos. The beef cheek was incredibly tender. I also enjoyed the shrimp and chicken tacos but both of those had slaw which tasted too salty for me given that I follow a low sodium diet. I asked them to remove the slaw from the beef cheek and it was better. My dining mate also enjoyed the crab rangoon dish and the chicken wings. If the vibe is always low-key I could see myself returning. This would also be dependent on the music -it had quite a drastic shift when we were there from hip-hop/pop to practically heavy metal. Staff was nice and friendly. Service was quick.

Even though the place was completely full, the service was still quick and really good. They brought out more chairs to accommodate our growing party and we never had to wait long for drinks. After about an hour, we slid through the back door and into the speakeasy. This portion of the bar was equally impressive and had the same high end vibe. More great service, more great drinks. Some Louis XIII may have been poured- which came with white glove service and a complete history lesson btw lol Literally zero complaints. Just a great night out.

Somehow I've never been here before, which is crazy, since like all middle aged white guys, I went deep down a Bourbon hoarding rabbit hole for a time. If you're a bourbon guy, they have some excellent bottles! Like I said, it was a brief visit so I'm not going to write y'all a novel, but the interior was dark lit, velvet soaked, and relaxed. The service was tip top, and spent a good amount of time chatting us up on new bottles they just got in, and what has been popular. We settled on a couple pours and had a great visit. I'll certainly be back.

Even this time the GPS took us to an entrance that had us going the wrong way down a one-way, but we eventually figured it out I will say that the parking isn't all that great, but we were able to find a spot. If the parking lot is full you should be able to find street parking nearby Kanpai Club is a sister location to Handos. They share a kitchen and you can walk through an inside door access either. You can find the same cocktails and bites from Handos on the Kanpai menu, but there's also additional drinks and bites The bar feels like a Japanese Izakaya. It's a narrow space resembling a Japanese outdoor bar. It's intimately lit and well decorated. We did have to wait for two spots to open up, but that didn't take too long The bartenders were friendly, professional, and efficient. We went on a Friday night (fairly late), and they had two dedicated bartenders The cocktails were fun and were beautifully crafted. Most were served in novelty glassware. You can order classic cocktails, but both Kanpai and Hando offer a variety of signature cocktails. Most having some sort of Japanese or Asian fusion. They have beer, wine, and extensive sake list, as well as green tea and other nonalcoholic options The cocktails were tasty. The only one I was iffy on was their Espresso martini. It was poured from a machine and I guess there were having issues with it. The presentation was phenomenal. There was a roasted marshmallow garnish. The drink itself was far too Smokey in flavor than I like, or at least in terms of my espresso martinis The Yuzu Kosho fries were incredible. The flavors really hit the spot. The Okinawa Potato salad was both questionable to looks and and to eat lol. This purple mound of potato's had an interesting taste, look, and consistency. It wasn't bad, just... interesting and new Some tips: If you can't find this spot from the street, look for Handos. It's part of this restaurant Ask the bartender about the happy hour menu. And most nights they're open until 12am, but on Fridays and Saturdays they are open until 2am If you order food online (technically from Hando's) you can get 10% off using code: HANDO10. This is part of their "Hando and Chill" special Cheers!!

I might have just found one of my new favorite restaurants in Houston. What a great experience!…read more Recently, a good friend dined here and immediately called me to tell me how great it was. She then text our friends group and said we all had to come together and we did just that. She made reservations in advance as this place is popular thanks to recent Michelin Bib Gourmand awards as well as many other accolades. Walk ins are welcome as well. Our reservation was later in the evening so after a night of bar hopping, we ride shared in which I think is one of the best options as parking is limited here or you have to find street parking in the neighborhood. This place is literally a house turned into a restaurant. Inside is just multiple rooms with a couple of tables. It makes for a unique, intimate dining experience, perfect for a date night. In our case, we were a group of nine so we got patio seating. The patio is spacious and well kept, and if the weather cooperates, a great place to hang. One thing that really stood out to me is the amazing ambience of this place. I was told that the bartenders pick the music for the night from the owners extensive vinyl collection. Once the album is in, they play it in it's entirety. The sound system was systeming and on top of the great company and food, we were totally vibing with the music. Customer service was amazing. Every staff member we came across was so friendly, especially our server. The menu here changes. There are some mainstays, but they like to change things up. Their website shows current menus daily. We were told that family style is the best way to experience this restaurant. I am one of those people that will always listen to the staff and go with their suggestions. Our group went through quite a bit of their menu from apps, entrees and desserts. I loved that our server and staff brought our food out one by one in what they thought was the best progression so we could take a culinary journey. We started off light with their popular Dilly Bread. Best bread I've had in awhile. Next was the Texas Tartare. It was my first ever tartare and it was delicious. We then moved on to Fingerlingin Good which was a crispy potato dish with chili crisp and mascarpone. It was potatoes elevated to the highest level and so so good. Next up was Beer Battered Sweet Tots. I didn't think sweet potatoes could be that good. Our first entree was a vegan dish called the Carroty Kid. I could seriously become a vegan if all dishes tasted like this. It was curried. A bowl of jasmine rice would've made it a complete meal. Next we tried another famous Nobie's dish called Nonno's Pasta. Handmade, perfectly cooked tagliatelle with a delicious bolognese. I wouldn't share this next time. Ok, I will, but it was that good. On to the heavier dishes. First up was the Jamon With Your Bad Self. This came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was favorite heavy entree. It was high quality, iberico pork steak with shaved brussels and all kinds of other tasty ingredients that when combined made such a tasty bite. We then went to the sea with the Drops of Grouperter. It was good, but not something I would order again. It was a little too smoky for my liking. Our biggest dish that came market priced was the Kick His Ass Seabass. This was a whole fish that was presented beautifully on a platter with all the accouterments to make your own elevated fish tacos. We left no morsel of fish behind. It was absolutely delicious. One of the things this place is really known for is their pies. This was the part I was most excited about. Just like their menu, their pies change up. We got all their offerings that night which they presented on one big platter of goodness. Their main stay and I believe always on the menu is the famous Olive Oil Cake. It's not a pie, but I can see why this is such a popular dessert. I can't even describe it, you just have to try it to understand. The pies we had were the Black Bottom Strawberry Pie, Banana Rum, and the Peanut Butter Pie. I would order all of them again. We all had a difference of opinion on which was the best, but my fave was the Banana Rum. Overall, I was highly impressed with this place and kind of mad at myself for waiting so long to make it here. It had made it's way to the top of my list of favorite restaurants in Houston. I will be back.

As a…read morevegetarian, I checked the menu before I got there and was a bit suspicious on if this place would be any good but heard good things! When we got there- there was no parking , mainly street parking or valet. We were able to park a block or two away from the location. We booked an outdoor seat because it was the only thing available. The outdoor seating was right at the entrance- had a wooden cover on top and some lights. The seats were very close to each other- so close that you can hear each others conversation or have to whisper to have a private conversation. Outdoor seating does allow dogs and as someone who doesn't like getting licked by random peoples dogs, I did not enjoy that part of dinner. We ordered the: Chickpea- crunchy, seemed like a good crunchy topping ontop of a meal however felt like something I could make at home Olives- I enjoyed the olives but couldn't eat as many - a bit too flavorful, after a few I had to stop Diddly Bread- I think this is what they are known for, good! Came out really warm and fresh, the butter on the side was herby and the bread was warm enough to melt the butter. I enjoyed it but it was a bit salty at the end. Lasagna- lasagna was okay- again nothing special, I felt though all the flavorings at this place was mainly salt and a bit too salty. Salted Carmel pie- to go, I should have been cautious of ordering a salted carmel pie at this location because everything else was too salty. The pie itself was extremely salty like one bite one pie and I need a gulp of water to wash it down. My husband thought the same thing- we thought of ways to fix this problem. I really thought of buying some vanilla ice cream and making a shake out of the pie - kind of diluting the salt. I do think if we ordered a different flavor of the pie it would have tasted good. Texture and the sweeteness was good. During the middle of the meal, it started to absolutely pour and we were eating outdoors, there were covers on the sides of the walls however the water kept getting into the bench's and chairs. The staff members were honestly really helpful!! They moved all the tables away from the wet area and one of the staff members let us borrow their umbrella to get into the car. Overall- we did not enjoy the food, the staff were truly kind and friendly. We won't be back because of the food.

I was surprised by how few people were brunching there this morning, but was very pleased with how quick and courteous the service was. Our waiter was extremely attentive to details and very honest about the different dishes that were most popular and those who were not his favorite. To start, I had the impossible meat samosas. You could not convince me that there wasn't any beef in those perfectly crispy, flaky and flavorful mini bites. I could've eaten much more than the three they came with it. My beef hash was just as good. The meat was tender, and served over an easy cooked egg and savory, peppered potatoes and onions, it was a brunch match made in Heaven. Unfortunately, the cremé brulee French toast was a little bit dry, but the candied pecans that came along with it was good. I was also shocked that they had $20 mimosa carafes and you had the option to pour it yourself or have it prepared for you. For this reason alone, and the spaciousness and the full bar, I don't understand why there were only about three parties in the place on a Saturday morning! It did appear as if there would be a private dinner upstairs later on on because I saw some placemats with the guest of honors name included on them. This would be a perfect venue for any sort of birthday dinner or even brunch wedding reception or something. The windows, the chandelier lighting, the exposed brick walls and duct work, gave the place an industrial feel overall. I'd like to return for happy hours and hope that the Indians samosas are on the menu .

They'll make an announcement for you to go grab a bingo board from designated spots and it was quite a fight to get a board, which is one per person. I think we played a total of 5-6 rounds with breaks in between and each round is a different goal (e.g. regular bingo, making an X, blackout, etc) with a different prize and the prizes gradually get bigger. Since the tables were all full, lots of people were either sitting around the stage, or on the turf, or standing on the back patio. Parking was super crowded.
