Had dinner outside last night. The setting was beautiful. Vito our waiter was amazing. His recommendations for food and wine were outstanding. The appetizer of tomato and mozzarella was delicious. We just fell into this place this evening and it was fantastic great service, great food and charming atmosphere. The Chef's choice shrimp was loaded with large shrimp in a delicate lemon sauce with fresh mushroom. The Grilled eggplant parmigiana was light and delicious. The pasta sides are perfect house salads with Gorgonzola where nice and fresh great tomatoes perfect hot bread. Great wine list. A perfect cappuccino with a light home made cannoli. Very disappointed by the service and the overall arrogance of the person who appeared to be the owner. Will never go here again. Arrived here for my 7 pm reservation and at 8:45 when my dinner still did arrive I was told by the owner. " it says right on our menu we cook to order" well everyone who came in and was sat after us had their dinner and our waitress was giving us a to go bag for our appetizers. My date had the chicken Scarpiello, they earned a solid C+ on that. ... I went with the Shrimp Fradivalo. It's not always on the menu but it's excellent and interesting with a spring mix, chopped mint, cranberries, Mandarin oranges, walnuts and more. Charming place with very attentive staff. Good food with very fresh ingredients. The warm bread and butter could be meal in itself when paired with the wine. Seafood Di Mare was delicious with plenty of calamari and shrimp. The special of the evening was their Seminole pasta and had a delicious array of fresh veggies in a wonderful light garlic sauce. One of the best parts of the meal was the chefs special Limoncello. It really was fantastic! A great treat was chatting with the chef at the end of the meal. A good warm home feeling. The sauce is perfect and they use top of the line tomatoes because ones that are cheaper tend to be more acidic and cause my mouth to swell the next day. Truly a hidden treasure in Stuart. We were seated outside, and the weather was perfect. We both ordered versions of eggplant. It was perfectly done, and the salad was so good. Waitress was very nice, and service was fine, however, the food was strangely seasoned, like nothing Italian I've had before. The seafood di mare had too many seasonings that detracted from the taste of all the seafood. The veal sorrentino had ham, not prosiutto. The eggplant parmigiana was ok. Two of us ordered a side of angel hair with evoo and garlic but It was very bland, no garlic but strange taste, we did bring the leftovers home (I don't know why) because they won't be eaten. A definite gem! I was searching for Italian but needed to have a gluten free option for me. Both our meals were perfection! Rose was our waitress and she was fantastic. After we ordered she found that there was a special for the evening that happened to be gluten free and wanted to give me the choice to change my order. Sweet potato lasagne! I hope it either becomes a weekly special or permanent on the menu, it was amazing. The restaurant is in a house and so it has separate rooms for dining, it feels so comfortable and homey so I say you need to give it a try! The food and service were top notch. read more

I love this place! I have been coming to my Florida home for 30 years now and can't believe I just came across this place by accident when I had to park on a back road one night. Went in with my wife and had a fantastic meal. I'm full blooded Italian and know my wants in a good tasting plate. My comment to the waitress was it was the closest thing I have tasted to my grand moms sauce anywhere here to date. I couldn't wait to come back. A week later We went back and they were closed for a private wedding party. I was so disappointed and had to go to another place close by that was known for their Italian. It was terrible, expensive, and a dumb waiter. Several days later I said to my wife I just can't get that wonderful taste out of my mind and said lets go. We had another awesome meal, good bottle of wine and told the hostess to tell the chefs wife who was on site to give him a hug on us. Great meal. By the way the waiter we had was only ok, he did not return to the table to check on us, we had to flag down another waitress to get him and he continued to be absentee after that as well. Then he disappeared for the bill later on. Though we weren't in a hurry, after too long of a wait I had to flag again just to pay. Since I used a credit card it took forever for him to return. They can blame him for the lost star. Will we be back? Absolutely but it'll be a waitress we will ask for. Go there it's worth it. read more

This was easily among the worst dining experiences I've ever had. First off, we had horrible service from a brand new waiter who clearly had no training. He took over 20 mins to even come to the table and then blurted out a request for our appetizer order. There was no hello, no drink order and no mention of any specials. When we asked which foods could be done gluten free as the menu instructed us to ask, he had no idea. When we asked how 2 veal dishes were prepared, he had no idea and thought that was acceptable. I had to suggest he go ask someone. So I decided on the veal parmesan as it seemed best to play it safe. He remarked yes that's safe. We asked what his favorite dishes were and he told us he'd never had ANYTHING on the munu! Really?? You get a choice of soup or salad with your meal. We all chose salad. Yet he brought out a soup and didn't know who ordered it, because nobody did. Finally dinner arrived and mine came out wrong... despite our discussion about veal parmesan. I tasted it and it didn't taste right...sure enough it was eggplant parmasean not veal. They agreed to remake it and a lovely blond girl working there told us she'd be taking over our table and that there would be no charge for the veal not to worry about it since it would be delayed and the rest of our table would have been nearly finished by the time it was done. We offered for her to take the eggplant back and she insisted no it will just be thrown outsnd suggested she box it for us. My son was willing to bring it home so we agreed. Fast forward to my new meal coming out. It was half the size of my original order and the cheese barely melted but I was tired of the trouble and figured they were just rushing to get it out. It was extremely salty too. The original waiter showed up with the check. It was wrong as it still showed an eggplant parmasean! Rather than get all upset with this waiter who clearly needed more training we merely asked him if he could send the blond girl over from earlier who we assumed was the manager. After waiting a very long time ( now the only ones in this room of the restaurant which had cleared out) finally a man approaches the table and in a nasty tone says you can't have what you asked for. Confused and taken back by his nasty attitude, I said what are you talking about we just asked to see the blond girl. He said I'm not taking off the eggplant and the veal. I asked if he knew the situation shocked he'd come to speak to customers in such a nasty manner! I explained the situation and he argued with me that I should pay for the eggplant because I'm taking it home. I said you can keep it, we were only taking it because it was being thrown away. We didn't even want it! He then changes his argument that we should pay for the veal because he remade it right away. First off,you never get nasty and rude to customers! Second, it didn't come out in "exactly one minute" as he had the nerve to claim lol. Really, you think you made veal parm in a minute? Hmm that would concern me as to how fresh it could be...but no, it was about 10 to 15 minutes and by then everyone had eaten all or moat of their food. Third, it was the blond girl who offered to take it off the bill!! I had told her to not to bother remaking it because it would take too long and I came to have dinner WITH my famiky, not alone after. She insisted it would be remade and no charge so I agreed. So how ridiculous now that this man was giving us a hard time! Clearly he knew what she offered to do which is why he cane over mad about it instead of her coming back over. He was obviously mad she offered that and not interested in doing the right thing. We assumed the waiter didn't know how to do the adjustment and the bill was wrong as an oversight she'd quickly correct which is why we asked to speak to her. We were mistaken. It probably took so long for him to come over because they were in back arguing about it! It wasn't an oversight but this cook/owner being a rude jerk. Not to mention, he never introduced himself when he came to our table, never told us if he was the owner, the manager, the owner or the chef. He was extremely unprofessional. He finally fixed the bill reluctantly but the damage was done. After seeing what a $@!%÷ that guy was we'd NEVER go back there or recommend it to anyone. On top of all the bad service the food was over salted and mediocre at best. I hope that nice girl didn't get in too much trouble for trying to do the right thing,.and I hope she finds a job at a better establishment working for someone more professional and kind!!! You will like 18 Seminole if you like standard Italian-American food at a mid-market price. Otherwise, you should probably give this restaurant a pass. Both the menu and the food preparation are basically competent, but uninspired. Both the veal scarpariella and eggplant parm were no better than you would find at a basic diner. Meatball appetizer was better, but the coconut-mango gelato I had for dessert had the taste and texture of a giant, frozen macaroon. Wine and beer only, and the wine list is pretty basic though the mark up is reasonable. Service was decent, but again nothing out of the ordinary. If you are looking for creative or upscale Italian food, there are several better choices in the area. read more

A bottle of Pinot Grigio, I ordered the veal marsala and my husband ordered the shrimp scampi- we ordered based on the employee recommendations. The server came back and poured the wine and didn't show me the bottle (I didn't think anything of it, because I was busy entertaining our daughter) It tasted fine- and the after he poured the wine into our glasses- we saw the label and it was Chardonnay-we ordered Pinot Grigio! Sometime later we get our appetizer and it was a tomato mozzarella tower. Say what we ordered the eggplant?! we sent it back however that was a bad idea!!!- we receive the eggplant trio- it was not warm! it was salty! and it tasted like it was microwaved because the cheese was rubber! it looked liked something from Stouffer's frozen food! our daughter spit it out- we then knew why! the server came back and checked on us, but never cleared our salad plates. Then my husband was served one of the veal dishes along with the side of pasta and tomato sauce-we ordered shrimp scampi and veal marsala. turns out it was supposed to go to another table- and that's exactly what occurred, they took the food they served my husband and gave it to another table!!! It was like something from Gordan Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. my husband had his glass of Pellegrino half full, one of the servers came along and filled with ice water?! there were only 2 to 3 tables seated in the restaurant. we finally get our food-it looked like slop on a plate for $23 each. my husband's shrimp scampi looked like soup thickened with tons of cornstarch. the side of pasta and tomato sauce was garnished with the crappy grated Kraft Parm cheese- it looked like it should've been on a buffet at Piccadilly or Sizzler! The veal marsala tasted like thick beef bouillon cube water with sugar syrup. It was absolutely terrible!!! the veal was overcooked and garnished with steamed spinach with no seasoning!!! the mushrooms had no salt or flavor. I ate 1/2 piece of veal- the server never offered to help to make it better. my husband ate his shrimp but no pasta soup. the server came to offer dessert- We said no. she offered complimentary lemoncello to us- we said no. and she said "what no vodka for the adults to wake you up?!" We said no again. We will never go back!! Had fish this visit to 18 Seminole. What a wonderful touch chef/Owner Skip has with fish. Black grouper done to perfection, served with two different sauces--the traditional lemon/caper butter sauce, and a VERY interesting black garlic sauce. Some of the best food I've ever eaten!! Excellent meal last night. I had a house salad, and breaded shrimp dish with sides of Spinach and Broccoli Rob. My wife had a salad with sautéed chicken. First, the bread that they brought was warm and delicious. Crust was crunchy and inside Fresh. Olive Oil dipping was full of pleasant spices. Salad was fresh and crisp. Dressing is homemade and was light and tasty. My wife's salad with chicken was perfectly arranged and cooked. My shrimp dish was served in a light broth with mushrooms. Unusual, but the combo worked. Wait staff was attentive and well informed. Meal arrived hot, perfectly timed. We will be going back soon! read more
