Stopped in for lunch on a road trip. Quaint diner, definitely family run. Exactly what you expect from a small town diner with locals who who frequent as you can tell by the greetings as them come and go. The service was timely and kind. The chorizo and eggs were cooked perfect and with a fair spice. The beans were refried chunky style and flavored well. The french fries were cooked to a crisp golden. The beef burrito is seasoned well and served hot. Sauce was mild and creamy with good flavor. Definitely worth stopping in as you pass by.

    Shredded Beef Chimichanga

I ordered the Shredded Beef Chimichanga and chips and salsa. It was delicious. My son had the all you can eat fish fry, it was Friday. He said it was good, it came with fries and coleslaw which he said was the tastiest he had had in a long time. Who knew he was a coleslaw snob We walked out quite full. The shredded beef had a perfect seasoned flavor, and paired wonderfully with the salsa. I will go there again.

Good service friendly. Plenty of food at good prices. Everything was good- however I prefer a very smooth refried bean. Eclectic atmosphere.

Great place for a quick bite to eat. Decent salsa, very moderate so its good if you like spice but not insanely spicy. Great food and the service was friendly. The plates are filling.

    Chicken Enchiladas

My mother and I were looking for something new for lunch, something different than the usual choices in Sierra Vista so we made the 30 minute drive to Benson and selected the Eighty-Six Cafe based on Yelp reviews. We weren't disappointed with the selection. While everything was not perfect, the salsa provided with the chips & salsa was pretty bland and the chicken in my enchiladas could have been seasoned more, overall it was a very good experience. As noted, the chicken in my enchiladas could have been seasoned more; however, the chicken was moist with decent flavor and the rice and beans were fresh and tasty. My mother indicated her taco salad was very good and she appreciated the generous amount of beef. Our waitress was very courteous and right on time with refills. My mother noticed a sign indicating an all you can fish fry on Tuesdays and Fridays and we've already decided we'll make another trip in the near future.

I definitely do not regret that decision. This visit, I focused on pastries and coffee. I didn't realize they also have a full food menu until after I ordered, so that will be for next time. I picked up the Dubai chocolate muffins, a pumpkin scone, and a blueberry white chocolate mocha pastry (which was incredible). For drinks, I tried the Sweet Lavender Espresso (hot) and the Cherry Love Bomb (iced). The Cherry Love Bomb was my favorite, refreshing, balanced, and just unique. Everything I tasted was delicious. Every pastry I sampled had great flavor and texture, and the drinks were thoughtful and fun without being overly sweet. While I was there, I noticed they offer a sourdough avocado toast, and the staff member who helped me described it so well that I already know I'll be returning specifically for that. If you're into unique and intentional flavor combinations, this is absolutely worth the stop, even if you're not already in the Sahuarita/Green Valley area. Everything I tried was genuinely enjoyable. Its a cute coffee place with great views actually! I'll definitely coming back!

They're about half the size as a regular empanada so you know what that means half the calories. Lol they come in pineapple pumpkin and apple. Each flavor was very tasty. The thing I like about empanadas is that they're not too sweet and these were just like that. I especially like the apple filling. It had a little bit of what seems to be cinnamon and it was again not too sweet, but perfectly sweet. Of course, and why am I the thing that makes an empanada great is also the crust. It was perfectly crispy on the outside. He's empanadas are the superstars! Another reason I love this place is because they're training people who have disabilities for employment. I had Chile Riano's with beans and rice. Everything tasted like the Mexican food that I love in Tucson. The portions are pretty large for the Rihanna's and then the sides were not overwhelming just right. I got to chill Reynolds and I ended up taking one home. I definitely recommend you giving this place to try especially because of what they do for the community. The prices were very inexpensive as well. If you're looking for a fun day trip and then you want a good meal this is a great place to stop while supporting the community. All the staff was very nice as well as the students being trained which you couldn't really tell who is who. And I appreciate that too! Please support them!
