I've been driving by this place for years and finally decided to stop. It was super crowded on a Friday night but we were able to be seated right away. The bar was quite popular. We had a few looks from those that didn't recognize us but it wasn't uncomfortable or anything. The space is fairly loud but we were able to still have a good conversation. They have a good beer selection on tap. The menu has plenty to choose from. I had the Flat Iron Steak and it was cooked just as I expected to be (medium rare), flavorful, and not over seasoned. The mashed potatoes were prepared as to not be too stiff but not too watery. No complaints there. I look forward to stopping in again. It's a great local place. read more

Not a lot of restaurants to choose from out in this neck. 3 are located in this minimall...pizza, Mex and pub grub. plenty parking. Ambiance/Cleanliness-real clean. nice ample bar seating...i counted about 15 tables and 7 high tops. Restroom was clean and didn't smell bad. 4 stars. Service-outstanding. Warm and welcoming, helpful and attentive. 5 stars. Food-Got the popular Philly Cheese steak and potato salad. The sandwich was "ok" to be honest, Jersey Mike's is better. Stopped here once for late lunch. Not a ton of people to make it noisy. We had the fried pickles that were my favorite I've ever had. Chandra was our waitress and was friendly and helpful. Noticed when we were low on drinks. The place itself is a bar and grill with TVs on. It's not huge and it's not tiny. I had a salad and half sandwich which was a BLT. Loved it. My friend had a sandwich and their home made chips were light flakey and delicious. No complaints. I didn't even get a stomach ache afterwards ( i do a lot when eating out). They let dogs on the patio. Has some vegetation options. Would 100% return. read more

We've been going to Montgomery's for 4 years. The food hasn't always been great, but it was okay. Tonight, not so much. He ordered Fajitas, no onions. I ordered a Monty Burger with onion rings. He brought it home to find onions in his fajitas and my onion rings were soggy. I called and we can come in now (absolutely not), or sometime later for onion rings. When I asked about his fajitas they said, "we asked him if he wanted onions and thought he said yes". Huh? You don't ask about onions on fajitas, who doesn't want onions on fajitas, except my husband? The only time you would ask is when the customer specifies NO ONIONS. Our tab was $47.48 plus tip, and he always leaves 20%, even if the order is to go. Moral of the story: Montgomery's lost our business, and that's business the probably can't afford to lose. read more

We visited this establishment for the first time today. We live in GV so it was short 30 minute drive and well worth it. We have nothing, I mean nothing this nice and tasty in GV. This gem of a grill/saloon is a well kept secret in Vail. We had the Philly and the French dip.....they both were Amazing as they use real 'prime rib' and not Boar's Head like many places. The service is also so good! Our server Kristen was the 'Best' she shared recommendations and was a joy to talk to during our Meal.... Inside is so clean and cool.....not a sports bar but a local Saloon and Grill with great tasing food and a great staff! We will be back! read more

We stopped here on the way back from Kartchner Caverns, and I'm so happy that we did. I have a very hard time finding a good burger in and around Tucson. I ordered a bacon blue burger, medium rare, and Natalie, was it perfectly done, it was good quality beef. I got the onion rings, my sister got the house made potato chips-both really good. But here is why I'm giving it five stars. On top of the good food, we had a wonderful server named Elissa. She greeted us with a really genuine, warm smile, took great care of us, and made us feel welcome. The food took a tiny bit longer than I would have thought it would, and she was on top of it, telling us that it would be out soon before we even asked. In addition, we noted that another server was cleaning and dusting some decor on one of the walls. My sister noted that this young woman appeared to be meticulous about the cleaning process of these objects. Once she mentioned that, I saw and agreed, and I also noticed that the restaurant was very clean. The wooden chairs that we were sitting on were gleaming, despite the fact that they weren't brand new. All of these factors... Great food, care taken with the order, attentiveness, friendliness, cleanliness, and obvious pride in place, that's what makes a five star restaurant in my opinion. read more

We order from this place regularly and a pick up order and we don't eat in cause it's too loud. We have had our hiccups here and there but this one topped it. Ordered like We always do got the cienega salad ,extra pecans, extra apples, extra ranch and the neighborhood club sandwich subbed the cheddar for Swiss with the potato salad yesterday for to be eaten today cause it's a sandwich. Put it in the fridge my daughter came nome tonight to eat it and took a bite to quickly spit it out cause when she looked down a dead lady bug was in the sandwich. Called to let management know so it could be replaced next time and because we ordered it yesterday they said we won't do anything for it cause we don't now where the sandwich has been. It was the 1st time for all of us and we had a pleasant time however the wait time from ordering your food to being served your food was much longer than usual. With that said, the restaurant itself was fun place to chill, socialize or hang for an hour or two. There tables inside and the outdoor patio. I prefer to be outside were seated inside with our 8 people. 5 Stars: Our server was professional, friendly and accommodating especially having pre-teen boys with us. After ordering our food, she served our drinks and appetizers pretty quickly. However it took time for the rest of the food to come out. No fault to the server and the cooks. They may have been short staff in the kitchen and we did arrive around d "lunch rush hour - high noon". Also, she checked on us frequently and refilled our drinks even though she has several tables to wait on inside and outside. Food: 3 to 4 Stars We ordered several different items: 1. 4 Stars - Fajitas - $16.49 - Sizzling platter of sauteed onion & peppers with your choice of beef or chicken. Salsa & sour cream on request. Guacamole. - chicken fajitas - chicken tendered were seasonaed with black pepper, salt and cumin and lemon. It was good. The tortillas looked homemade and were thin and it handled the veggies and meat properly. Only thing missing was the pico de gallo. 2. 3.5 Stars - Kids chicken tender and fries. The chicken tenders were lightly battered and fried. Good for the kids or a light meal 3. 4 Stars - Buffalo Chicken Wings - tangy buffalo sauce that has a little bit of spicy sauce. Comes with celery stalks and choice of ranch or blue cheese. About 12 pieces of "Schwarzenegger" size drumsticks. It will fill up! - Dish is an Appetizer 4. 4 Stars - Bacon Bleu Burger - $14.99 Our fresh chargrilled Choice Angus Beef burger topped with crispy bacon, bleu cheese and tangy A1 sauce. Will give a higher rating but we believe the Burger was a preformed thick patty. It was pretty uniformed in size. I could be wrong. The toppling were good and had sweet potato fries as the side which were wonderful. Perfectly fried and crispy. 5. 3.75 Stars - Monty's Burger - $12.99 Our fresh chargrilled Choice Angus Beef burger topped with cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, bacon and onion rings. Served with fries. It was good but nothing to write about. 6. 3 stars - Fish Tacos - $10.99 3 flour tortillas stuffed full with fried fish, shredded cabbage and our own Baja sauce, and 2 wedges of lemon. The fish were fried nicely, not too battered. The Baja sauce was a disappointed to me. Lack of flavor and it was little too much sauce for me. The tacos definitely needed the Lemon for acidic flavor to cut down on the sauce. Doesn't come with any side items. Which surprising when the other items did. 7. 4 Stars - Loaded Nachos - choice of shredded chicken or ground d beef, loaded w beans, cheese, jalapeños and other items. This is a HUGE serving of Nachos. Definitely Shareable - 2-4 people. Can get wet if you can't eat it in a timely manner. So would we come again. I would "yes" but don't go there hungry and be served quickly. Get a drink, order an appetizer, and hang w your friends. Be patient and you won't t go wrong. Best to visit when it isn't too busy too. I love the staff. I like the fun regulars and the way everyone chats...... but I had a terrible experience today..... then the way it was NOT handled...... I have to change my previous Meh review to what you see...... one single star........ let me start with.... thank God i cut my burgers in half! I can be sure IT didn't come from my burger plate. but what about my side salad?? I jumped up from the table! I had eaten literally one bite of my burger! My appetite was completely gone....... I sent it all back. I was a person who'd stop by pretty often. I have overlooked things before...... written them off as anomalies...... but now?? I will never ever go back there to eat........ It's a cool little bar and grill and it sometimes has live music. It's usually packed with locals so sitting can be tricky.

Montgomery's is one of the few east side staples that has decent food, a nice friendly locals atmosphere, outside patio, and a good small bar layout. They don't have a ton of beers or liquor options, but it's great for a quick dinner or to watch a game (if it happens to be on- and no sound). I had been to Montgomery's once years ago and didn't really remember the experience. I had a friend who lives in the area invite me there for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and attentive during the visit. We got some drinks and both ordered the chicken strips, which were huge and tasty. The drink was fine and the strips were a huge portion that neither of us ended up eating them all. They were serve nice and hot. The sauces, ranch and buffalo, were really good and seemed fresh. Montgomerys is the go to restaurant in Vail. We go there around once a month for maybe the last 7-8 years and they have been a staple at Vail station. One time a few years back it was clear the bartender took our order but was slow to send it to the kitchen. She made it right while we were waiting and it was still a good experience. We were really looking forward to their prime rib dinner on Saturday. The restaurant/bar was busy but the service was pretty good considering. The prime rib was unbelievable!!
