Had a positive experience this morning. Staff were absolutely joyful, laughing and having a good time as well as polite and helpful to customers. Our orders were correct and delicious, and the coffee was hot. I docked a star because they seem to have switched to microwave bacon, which is an absolute tragedy! There is only one table in here--seats two--and the two guys who were waiting for bagels to go so very kindly moved to let us eat there. As a mom I appreciate that there is a changing table in the gender-neutral restroom. The floor could use a mopping. I would definitely come back. read more

The line is usually long when I drive past at around 645 am and I don't have time to wait in line. Today there wasn't a line and thought I would treat myself to a bagel. I ordered a sesame bagel with cream cheese. She told me the total of $4.08 and I nearly fainted in my car!!! What the what?!? I got to the window and paid with my credit card. When I used the pin pad there was only a option to leave a tip. ($1,$2,$3 etc) there was not an option to opt out of a tip. I have worked food service before. Always a great place to grab breakfast or lunch. They offer juices as well as a variety of coffee. They have a wide selection of menu choices so everyone should be able to find something they enjoy. They have a good dozen or more variety of bagels and they offer several different smears as well. Get a dozen to go and enjoy them all week long. This place is a joke... always out of bagels and when they do make you a bagel, it is so minimal, basic, and prepared with no thought or creativity. Look at my photo of the pathetic nova lox. And they CLOSE their drive thru on the weekends by putting a chair out to block it, which is super frustrating. I just walked-in to order and they had 5 employees working?! so I recently submitted a complaint to corporate because I had three orders messed up. I thought they resolved it. They said they were some training, etc. I went back today and made the same order. We seem to be on the same page. She asked me if I wanted to check it in the drive-through to make sure it was right. It was beautifully toasted, better than ever actually. Looked like regular cream cheese and I left. I get 5 miles down the road and the last quarter of the has veggie/onion tasting cream cheese just in that last quarter which makes it feel intentional. So if you get a chocolate chip bagel, veggie/onion cream cheese does not taste very good so this is issue number four in the last few months. Do not recommend. All they're going to do is tell me to come back to the restaurant, and they will replace it and refund my money. They need to do more than that at this point. read more

This review is solely about the order ahead process using the drive-through option. This is not an efficient way to order especially during peak hours. There were 5 cars in line ahead of me which took over 20 minutes to pickup my order. By that time the bagel sandwich was cold. I would only order ahead using the curbside or walk-in takeout. I would recommend that they remove the option of using the drive-through. read more

I came here during opening week to be frank I wasn't impressed with grand opening deals. I've experienced better. I like Einstein Bagels I've frequented locations in Brooklyn and on Guadalupe St. in Austin. This location was just okay. To be fair I just tested it out with a whole wheat bagel. I've had better bagels from Einstein. I had assist an 8 minute wait for a bagel with nothing on it. I just felt like they didn't go above and beyond too be more welcoming for a grand opening. I haven't been back since that experience, I am willing to try other locations, because I love bagels and Einstein does have great bagels when it's on point. I would recommend nearby Panera Bread for bagels they have a better selection, it's cheaper and you get consistent service that's speedy and great. read more

I pulled into a curbside spot and then called to let them know I was there, even though I had placed my order maybe a couple minutes before and didn't expect it to be ready yet. I have tried MANY times, thinking " it will get better" IT WONT. they have no sense of urgency.. its a breakfast place - people are usually on the way to work, they are SO SLOW.. It took about 10 minutes on a wednesday to get a bagel with nutella and bananas about 10am, with only 1 car ahead of me I also ordered a coke, luckily i had to set at the window for 8 more minutes to notice " hey this doesnt look like coke even a little bit" - you work here, not me.. I come all the time. I give this place my business. I understand that y'all have different orders but I think it's ridiculous that when we pull up 15 mins till closing. They remind us when we first order that they are closing soon. I would understand if we arrived 5 mins out but we did arrive at a decent time. I've even been told that whatever thing they use to make their breakfast sandwiches were already being broken down. I understand you want to leave because it's closing time but when I worked in the food industry we served the customer on an open menu till it was time to close. This place is down the street from me and it is a quick stop for a decent breakfast before I get on the road to work. Occasionally they're slow, but they've never gotten my order wrong, the window folks are most often pleasant for 7am and they always make my cold brew however I ask. What more can I ask for? I love Einstein Bagels in general, but this place is a disgrace to the company name. I have been to this location a dozen times, and every time is a new adventure (In a bad way), and now that I've had "x" amount of bad adventures, I'm now forced to write a negative review on one of my favorite "restaurants" locations. I walk into the store, and a cashier is standing right in front of me at the register, and asks how he can help me, and then turns around and walks away immediately after asking, not even giving me a chance to respond, and walks ALL the way to the other end of the counter, with his back to me...... Uh, hello? Then he stands at the opposite register on the OTHER side of the counter, without saying, "I can help you over here", or "I'll take your order at this register", he starts yelling across the entire store asking what I want.... Uh, hello? Mind you, half of the verbiage on one of the menus is blocked, because one of the other menu "slides" has slid over, and is partially covering the menu. People continue to come in after me, and are asking "What does the menu say?" and instead of SLIDING the one menu back into place, they continue to turn around, look up at the menu, and loudly yell every single menu item on the covered menu board..... I kid you not. This actually happened. Needless to say, a second person comes over and takes my order, and swipes my card. I had ordered a coffee. He pulls out a coffee cup, and places it directly in front of him, on the OPPOSITE side of the counter from me, and then walks away after handing my receipt, leaving my cup out of my reach while they go to make my bagel. Mind you, I ordered a coffee -- The self serve kind. The kind where when I pay, I take my cup, and go fill it up while I wait for the bagel. Not here. As I'm standing by the "wait for your order here" area, the guy comes back a few minutes later to give me my bagel.... In a to go bag.... When he had JUST asked if it was "For here", which means a BASKET, not a bag.... And still no coffee cup. I said, "I'm missing my coffee cup" and pointed at the counter where he had left it out of my reach.... Unfortunately this is the only Einstein Bagel shop near me, but as soon as you walk in the door, you can sense the frustration and disgust from other customers who are already inside. The attitude of the employees is disgraceful, and more fitting of a McDonald's then it is Einstein Bagels. I've been to some fantastic Einstein Bagel shops, but this is not one of them. I'll be finding another bagel shop nearby, I read from someone else that there's a "Wholly Bagels" a block or two away. Hey, Einstein Bagels, if you need a consultant -- I'm here for ya.
