I wish it were possible to give zero stars because good LORD this shop is the worst. 21 minutes in line for one bagel with cream cheese that was sitting in the window so long, it was cold. Not to mention the employee at the window was rude and just shoved my food at me with no receipt. I'm not feeling all the hate for this Einstein Bros. My visit via the drive-thru was quick and painless, my order was correct, and the person handing me my bag of food was friendly. I like the variety of bagel sandwiches here. I got the Southwestern, and it was just OK, but I think I ordered wrong because it comes with a sausage patty and I don't like sausage patties. But it didn't specify on the drive-thru menu what all was included in the sandwich, so it's kind of my bad for ordering that sandwich, but it's also their bad for not including some wording about what's in the sandwiches. The coffee is good here, too. I always forget that they sell coffee here. It's nice to have a go-to-place that will give you coffee without leaving the comfort of your car. read more

This is always the slowest place, I could have sworn it was so slow I was going backwards. I have an issue every time I come here, sometimes it's very messy food with no napkins, sometimes the bag they hand me is coated in cream cheese on the outside, I have had coffee lazily handed to me with the lid half on. I can not go here, get a bagel and coffee, and leave with no issues in under 10 minutes in a drive through. Also not a ton of expected bagel options. read more

I was a loyal customer for years. Every couple of weeks I'd stop in on a Sunday morning, buy a dozen bagels, and get my club card punched. Buy a dozen dozen, get a free dozen. Recently, I was cleaning out my wallet and found an old card with a dozen punches in it. I took the card to this location (where I bought the dozen dozen bagels) and was treated like a three-headed leper. "That card is old; we don't take them anymore," said the store manager churlishly as she turned her back on me. I contacted Einstein corporate, and they were nice, but leave these decisions to the individual store...who told corporate to tell me to pound sand. I put up with a lot from these jokers over the years: out of bagels, bagels aren't out of the oven yet (at open at 5:30 AM), long waits because of under-staffing, 11 bagels instead of 13 because their employees can't count, etc., etc., etc. Well, it's an extra three-minutes of driving, but Panera here I come. read more

I have had a few mediocre experiences at this location in the past but my recent visit was rather painless. Drive thru was quick and friendly! I absolutely love the Einsteins franchise. I love the bagles, shmear, coffee cakes, atmosphere, I'm all in. I even reached out to HQ one time to let them know there was a great real estate spot for them to be closer to my house in Arizona, all in. But I can't say much for the service inside. Just take your order and move along. Usually the line is pretty long and they are always out of something I feel like should be constantly full. Like plain perhaps? One time I was there and no plain! Rude staff, cold food, and would not honor a "free bagel with shmear" coupon because the cashier rang it up as a bagel and then a side of shmear (as opposed to adding shmear to the bagel as the coupon states) and would not correct it. My family and I love Einstein Bros. We understand under the circumstances that the staff are all working hard to make our experience there great. Unfortunately, while we were ordering in the drive thru the lady seemed to be annoyed by us and didn't like how we were asking about what they had available. Me and a friend had just come through the drive through and weren't given our full order we had ordered, they were just trying to rush out of there to clock out. We weren't even given a receipt for the missing items on our order which hasn't been the first time we have had missing things and had to come back and have them remake the order. We had called and spoken to an extremely rude manager expecting the situation to be rectified and she was being extremely rude and snyde. Continuing to responding in such a way I wouldn't expect someone with the title manager to speak to us. The manager then decided to hang up the phone once she was told me I was sorry out of luck, then snickered and stated she wasn't going to help me any further. I'd give more than a 5 for the service I got there today if I could. I came in at a fairly busy time and needed a large order of bagels and coffee. I was as little nervous that I should have called ahead but I guess I was over thinking it because they didn't seem put it at all. They got my large order ready quickly, bagged it for me, gave me all the extras (creamer, cups, etc) and was pleasant the entire team. I was out of there within 10 minutes. Food wise, a fresh bagel is sooooo good and Einstein hit the spot! My whole wheat bagel was fresh and chewy and we as soooo delicious. Coffee was on point and enjoyed by all. I should have bought more. Highly recommend Einstein. read more

I'm not sure why this location has received such negative reviews for things that are out of their control, like the line up at the drive thru. Long lines typically mean a good product! You can see the length of the line when you pull up...so go somewhere else if it's too long. But I know that we are so used to getting that instant gratification that waiting does feel like an inconvenience at times. I like Einstein's bagels. For just a bagel shop they have a lot on the menu. Today I'm trying the fall features: sweet potato bagel with sweet potato/marshmallow schmear and a pumpkin cream cold brew coffee. How can you not love that?!? Short story here: if you go on a weekend morning, be prepared to wait a bit. But the food is good and worth the wait! read more

I honestly don't know what I was expecting but my recent experience at the Einstein Bros. drive through lane was the epitome of "meh." The guy we placed our order with seemed very confused by our requests -- one bagel toasted, one not, both with cream cheese. And out of about a dozen flavors of cream cheese (or "schmear" as they call it) my husband ordered the one that they had run out of, only adding to the unnecessary lengthiness and confusion of our exchange with the drive through worker. When we rolled around to the pick up window, the window remained closed until our order was ready. The order was correctly executed, but not surprisingly, the bagels were just okay. This was a convenient place to stop for us on a day that we were craving bagels, but we'll put in the effort to stick to the local mom and pop bagel shops next time. read more

Dirty. Its one of the biggest disappointments in the Carmel food scene. Food spilled on the floor and counters in the prep area. Employees work register and handle food after barehanded. Service always takes more time than it should. The menu has great options. When done right, its good food. But this location lacks management/ownership oversight to ensure a quality product. We will not return to eat. If they don't care about being good stewards of the food they prepare, we don't need to eat there. read more

I found the staff to be uninterested in my order, it was only a very light smear of cream cheese, and it just wasn't what I was used to when you think of a delicious bagel. Their bagels are so so amazing, and I usually love coming here. However, I was disappointed today (this could be me being 9 months pregnant) that they were out of every bagel besides a few of the least favorites. Absolutely horrendous today. (11/12/18). Drive through took 15+ minutes and food was cold. I ordered the farmhouse breakfast sandwich which was cold by the time I got it. I also ordered 3 of the "schmearfulls" which were completely stale and the cream cheese on the inside was completely solid. This place needs some sort of reorg/training.
