I've been wanting to check this place out for awhile now, and glad I finally did! It's a nice spot, but just know that it's not a place to come and relax as there are no tables or chairs, only grab and go. The staff was kind and helpful when I was deciding what to order. What I tried: +Blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese, 7/10 (lacked flavor) +Breakfast bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese, 8/10

Being a bagel connoisseur of sorts, I try to make it an effort to check out one local bagel shop on trips. Bagel fair was the shop I chose. Their store was beautiful with a glass display to show off its bagels. And staff were helpful and quick to fill orders. Their menu was simple with a large variety of bagels to choose from. I opted for a poppy seed bagel, made into a salmon lox sandwich. The bagel itself had a nice chew, was properly seeded and toasted perfectly. Shmeared with a good amount of cream cheese, just enough capers, sliced red onion and salmon lox (nova). I would definitely order again. My bestie had a garlic bagel with egg sandwich. Simple but filling. The bagel had a good taste of garlic without being too overpowering. Kuddos to Bagel Fair, you make a good bagel.

If you're going on the weekend, there will be a line, but it will be worth it. The line moves pretty quickly. Best bagels in Indy. We've been coming here for many years and the quality has never changed.

How things have changed since 2012! New location (same strip mall) and credit cards now accepted. Still hot, fresh bagels that smell and taste amazing. Still no toaster because the bagels are perfect as is. Get here early because when they're sold out, they close for the day.

Everything bagel and a tub of their plain cream cheese

Honestly, the employees were not very friendly. I don't care that much about that in this instance because the baked goods made up for their demeanor. The brownie was nice and chewy. Very soft and even though it's super dark, it's not bitter and the salt flakes make it the perfectly balanced sweet and salty combo. Bread was insanely good. I got a half loaf of semolina and the spices on the outside are adjacent to Side Door Bagel's everything bagel seasoning. This one is good for grab and go, unless it's nice out and then you can enjoy seating located out front. Service is friendly here. The workers are always up to answering any of my questions. They told me the olive bread is only sold on Wednesdays. I've never had it, but it sounds good. The bread I love is the focaccia. They sell it in a square loaf for $5. I like to eat this bread plain, with cheese, or make a sandwich with it. I also purchased a chocolate croissant (I love me a good chocolate croissant) and it was so flaky, buttery, and filling, very delicious. I warmed it up a bit at home and enjoyed every bite of it. Ive had a coffee from here and it was good, coffee and bread is a great combination. To get here, you have to find street parking as they don't have a parking lot. I usually find a side street to park at that doesn't charge.

The croissant cinnamon roll was buttery, flaky, and perfectly glazed, while the Danish had a rich, creamy filling without being overly sweet. Don't sleep on the sandwiches either because the bread alone is worth the trip. The Stutz location is bright, cute, and there's great outdoor seating scattered around. The staff was friendly and helpful, and everything in the pastry case looked as good as it tasted. I have an allergy and they were able to easily answer questions. My only advice is if you want a specific pastry you should go early. The best items sell out fast, and for good reason. Easy 5 stars.

I come mostly for the breads and the cinnamon rolls made from croissant dough. I do have to say I preferred the 'old' way these were made which was with a lot less icing. But I get that the change was probably done on request as folks generally prefer the extra sweet things here. Don't get me wrong, I will still continue to devour my fair share of these delicious works of art. And you cannot go wrong with the bread around here. I tend to freeze quite a bit of it since I don't live near an Amelia's. I have to say it does freeze well, especially if you toast it a little after thawing it.

Grab a seat by the windows and you'll have a front-row view of the city walking by while you sip your coffee. I grabbed a cup of their Santa Lucia, picked up a bottle of Topo Chico (bonus points for opening it for me), and couldn't leave without taking home a bag of ARC whole beans. They'll even grind your beans for free if you need them ready for your brewing method at home--a small touch that's always appreciated. The bakery case also deserves a warning label because saying "I'll just have coffee" becomes significantly more difficult once you're standing in front of it. The atmosphere was exactly what I look for in a neighborhood coffee shop: friendly staff, people working on laptops, quiet conversations, and a relaxed pace that makes it easy to lose track of time. Whether you're looking for a quality cup before exploring downtown or a cozy place to settle in for a while, Tinker is absolutely worth the stop.
